- Amber (8/5): The Shores of Panama is a great place to stay got - This property is conveniently located next to Pineapple Willy’s, and within walking distance to many other restaurants and shops. I like that there is a restaurant and a separate bar in the outdoor pool area. The outdoor pool is big, beautiful, and very relaxing. There is easy access to the beach. Everything was clean and the staff was great. The hot tub wasn’t heating properly while we were there. The location of our parking spaces were difficult to find. The building would benefit from a few more elevators. (None of these things would deter me from staying at the shores of Panama.

- Jordan (9/5): Weather was fantastic and the room and parking was the ultimate convenience. - Unit 210, the one we stayed in, is the most convenient room in my opinion. 2nd floor, right off the stair or elevator. Beach view was nice, heated pool inside is great. Security was respectful and staff is friendly and helping. The property itself, since the beach is public, can be seen as “ornery” with all of the modern “takeover” issues. However, the issues never bring themselves onto the resort. Most people complain about the elevator, not an issue for those on the first or second floors.

- zilat2022 (6/5): Noisy Times - The condo(1218) we ended up with, was not bad. It did have an issue with the kitchen sink not draining well. Im only giving it 3 stars because of the very ANNOYING construction that was going on, right outside of my bedroom window. Started promptly at 8am, although that may not be early for some. Just would have been nice to have a late sleep in. If VRBO would have mentioned that on their site, I'd have chosen somewhere else to stay. The parking wasn't an issue for me. The elevators was a nightmare. The pool area was big and nice, my grandkids really enjoyed the indoor pool. I probably wouldn't stay again tho, because of hearing about or reading about how other condos are in need of remodeling and updates.

Upon arrival found light fixtures laying on counter, washer and dryer in the middle of the hallway and was told this was to be taken care of before my arrival. T V remotes didn't work as they were not programmed correctly and they never were during my stay, the answer I received was"that's just the way it is". there was not even enough utensils in the kitchen to prepare a meal and silverware looked like it came out of a childs play set. Half of the elevators are out of order most of the time, common areas are dirty and the staff at the front desk are rude. The answer for any problem you may encounter is always the same(contact the owner) My wife and I are senior citizens so not spring breakers but were treated badly and will never set foot on this property again.

I wasn’t aware of bringing my own towels and rags, I had to wash the ones that were provided to us. Neither one of the bathrooms were clean, the sofa bed was awful. The sofa bed look liked someone was murder in it, it was in pretty bad shape… No one bothered to check the bedding in that unit, we had to keep the slide door open due to the smell that was in it..

- Morgan (4/5): Clean room, but AWFUL parking and elevators. Will not stay again. - The pool was nice and the food at the poolside Shoreline Bar and Grill was good and reasonably priced. The parking deck is AWFUL. The parking spaces are way too close together considering the cement columns spaced all around, and the corners turning around to each new level are so tight. If you have a larger vehicle, you should plan to make it to your parking space and then use a driving service for your outings. Trust me you don’t want to deal with the parking deck anymore than you have to! The elevators are also poorly planned. There are thousands of guests, but not nearly enough elevators. We waited at least 30 minutes for an elevator each time, and they are not air conditioned. By the time you get to your location you’re a sweaty mess. The condo itself was nice, but if the bedroom you are sleeping in has a window adjoining the outer walkway, prepare to be woken up by people loudly walking by or the lights that stay on all night. Our unit only had blinds and no curtains, so we hung a blanket up over our window to block the light. The coffee/donut shop in the lobby were convenient, as well as the ice machine (even though you have to pay for it). Overall, I will not stay here again due to the inconvenience of parking and elevators.

- Freddie (1/5): Disappointment - Check in was a nightmare, no working ice maker, terrible hard bed, no wash clothes and when asked didn’t get them, tv in living room wouldn’t work. When ask for another unit was told we’d have another cleaning fee. We left and didn’t stay 2nd night and shouldn’t be charged for it such a disappointment .

- Brandon (6/5): The outside amenities were nice but the room was not a good choice. - The large pool area was nice and comfortable and the property had great parking. The room was outdated and had plumbing issues at the beginning of the stay. The AC would not cool down lower than 75 degrees in the condo and there was not even a broom in the condo to sweep the floors throughout the week that we stayed. All the dishes had to be hand washed because there was mold all in the dishwasher. Lastly, the elevators were always down and having maintenance issues making you wait 20-30 minutes each time you wanted to go up or down.

- Jamie (7/5): Great location but maintenance on building prevented us from our view we paid for - Loved the location. Near a Walmart so we could shop and grab food as we needed it. The outside pools were clean. It was too cold for us adults, but the kids did swim in it once. We were there the day after Christmas until new years. We were told the inside pool was heated it definitely was not. The hot tub was also not heated. They were both cold. We couldn’t use our balcony as they were apparently doing maintenance on it. But we were not told this when reserving the room and didn’t get any money off after booking this room solely because we wanted a view of the Gulf. Then never even got to see the gulf from our balcony. Because it was all taped up. (We did goto our friends balcony and got some cool photos at night)

- Putman (2/5): This was a very disappointing stay in a place that has seen one too many spring breaks! - On the ocean Rented four units and all had issues! TV didn’t work in any unit. Had to change units because air conditioning didn’t work in 1226. Sewer smell was awful in 1219 and dishes were dirty. Had to move to a studio unit from 1227 because no balcony to watch my grandkids play on the beach. Nobody told us all the balcony’s were closed so that was a huge disappointment! No hairdryers in the units as shown on amenities. Dryer didn’t work in 1227. The bathroom floors were so dirty. I’m not sure they even clean before the next guest arrives. This was a very disappointing stay and nobody would answer the phone or return our calls for any issues we had. I definitely would not recommend Shores of Panama to anyone.

- brianwP2012UM (2/5): Don’t waste your hard earned money! - Booking a room on a last minute business trip I wanted a nicer 5 star hotel on the beach. I booked a room at shores of Panama thinking it would be a nice treat for myself. It was not. I booked online and didn’t realize I had to fill out more legal documents than it takes to buy a home. They want copies/pictures of your drivers license and credit card. There are so many rules that I don’t know how anybody could do anything there to have fun. I was driving a big truck and you can’t park anywhere on the property if your vehicle is over 6’7” so you have to pay to park in city parking lots about a mile or more away and walk to the hotel no shuttles or services. If you can and do want to park there it’s an additional $100 on top of an already overpriced room. The guy at the security booth was not friendly and treated me like I was stupid because I made the reservation online and didn’t know I had to fill out the ridiculous 12 page legal document. I’m surprised they didn’t want fingerprints and a DNA sample. I had been traveling all day and was exhausted all I wanted to do is check in get a nice dinner and relax. Well I had to go somewhere to fill out all the BS paperwork and wait for them to text me back a confirmation which took a lot longer than it should have so I ended up having to drive around Panama beach and find somewhere to eat. When I finally got the text with the door key code and parked over a mile away and walked to the resort there was no map or directions to the room I wandered around for 15 min till I found someone who kinda gave me directions to a general location to my room. Turned out the door was 20’ away from the security booth. Would have been nice for the security guy to point at the door and tell me that was my room! All they had available that night (which I doubt because I hardly saw anyone there) was a large condo that could sleep 6 and it was large and roomy but not well maintained. The shower was gross. Shower head was covered in mold. Shower curtain was all ripped and was hanging by 1/2 the rings. The towel rod fell out of the wall when I removed the towel and looked like a 2 year old had tried to repair it. I felt like I was staying in a cheap $20 motel 6 hotel room in the inner city. Both TV’s were on and would not turn off by remote so I had to unplug the one in the room. There was construction going on and scaffolding and plastic all around. After the initial nightmare of checking in and taking a shower I gave up on wanting to see whatever else the resort had to offer and went to bed. Don’t waste your money. I found out each condo is privately owned and the resort handles renting them out for the owners and the rules and regulations are all about covering their own asses and not really there to make sure you have a pleasant experiance. They are just trying to keep college spring break parties from happening. If you’re looking for a nice beachfront resort experience the Shores of Panama isn’t going to be it.

Unfortunately, this last day was a major upset. It was major construction going on that we did not know about and our room was disgusting. - Jamie (2/5): Buried, disappointing, and honestly depressing - I liked the location that’s about it and o he honest First of all, finding your parking spot was almost impossible. There’s no rhyme or reason to the numbers and what order they are in. That should be fixed. And the elevators are so slow and unpredictable. My children got stuck in them on our first day. They would take so long. They were so small and you would have to wait multiple times to be able to fit in if there was other people in there. Once we got to our room, the first thing knows where the bunkbeds right next to the entrance where you can hear everything outside the door there’s a giant window right next to the bed with broken shades, making it not private in the lease or people could be able to see in and stare at my children. The bunkbeds were also Insanely wobbly and unsecure and unsafe, so we had to use the mattress off of it because I did not feel they could sleep on it. And every single other bed in there was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever felt in my entire life. The pillows were awful. There were stains on the mattresses. And the fully stocked kitchen is a bunch of crap because we had like four spoons 27 knives and no forks there were no cooking sheets or pans to bake anything if needed in the oven the pots and pans looked old and gross and barely clean. There are two coffee makersand one was disgustingly dirty. There was a blender for the poor spout and stuff was coming out of the porch into our drinks. There was no broom. They’re barely any utensils for cooking with there were four bowls and some plates but that’s about it. No salt and pepper or anything like that. And you couldn’t even open the dishwasher all the way because of hitting the cabinet door that was under the sink. There were so many things it just was so uncomfortable and didn’t feel like a place I could relax at all. And did go along with that there was scaffolding and construction stuff everywhere around the pool and then outside of the rooms making it Not be place. I imagine I was getting.

- Leigh (2/5): Very dissatisfied with room 2016 for the additional 2 nights stay. - Shores of Panama is a nice place to stay as long as you’re in a decent room. The first room we were in (930) was great. No complaints. We stayed in that room from Oct 3 to Oct 9. Then we moved to room 2016 because we wanted to extend our stay 2 more nights. (930 was booked, so we had to move). I wouldn’t recommend room 2016 to anyone! The property itself is great, but room 2016 is a health hazard. If the owner of that room isn’t aware of how nasty it is, then someone needs to tell them. I took pictures which I will submit to you.

We had 1 cup, a couple plates and a couple skillets. Kitchen items could definitely be updated. Also we couldn’t watch television because the tv boxes didn’t work. Just a minor inconvenience but overall it was a great place to stay!

- CherylA835 (6/5): Under Construction and in serious need of a good cleaning and update: Potential Here Once Renovations Are Done - We booked last minute and the host was very responsive with check-in and quick to resolve a parking issue. The location is great, close to shops and restaurants, and the pool area was a highlight. However, the property is under heavy construction with scaffolding and caution tape, and the condo itself needs updates—non-working lights, worn walls/ceilings, and floors too dirty to walk barefoot. It felt like the unit was still under construction. We’d consider staying again once renovations and cleaning are complete, since the pool and location made the stay enjoyable.

- Isabel (6/5): - The room was excellent the communication with the renter was excellent. We were not happy with the customer service from the guard and the front desk. Very rude and not helpful. Our badges would not scan and not fixed. We asked in person and called them all they told us was if we got locked out at the beach he would send someone to let us in. That gives you no freedom to enjoy coming in the gates when we had plans to enjoy our Saturday. The elevators had two not working.

The bed sheets were dirty and there were paint stains on the bedding. The property also allowed for random workers to come into our room without our permission.
- Nikki (1/5): One of the worst stays I’ve ever had. It was dirty, uncomfortable, and nothing like the listing. This condo needs a deep - The fact that it was right on the beach. This condo was a major disappointment. The unit was not clean upon arrival…dirty kitchen utensils, trash under one of the beds, and filthy windows and toilets. The pillows were so stained and dirty that we went out and purchased our own just to feel comfortable sleeping. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, practically like sleeping on the floor, and there weren’t enough pillows or blankets for the number of guests allowed. The few blankets provided were thin and felt like something you’d find in a cheap roadside motel. The condition of the furniture was poor. Several of the dining chairs were broken, and the carpet was in terrible shape. After sitting on the floor to fold clothes, my legs were dirty just from touching the carpet. To make matters worse, the photos shown when I booked were not of this actual unit, which feels very misleading. Overall, this property was far below expectations, uncomfortable, and not accurately represented online. I would not stay here again.

- vanessa (7/5): - The pool area and bar staff were very nice people. I did not like the room. This room had a lot of things that really needed to be fixed and upgraded. Also, the elevators we waited approximately 15 to 20 minutes to get on one, and my 1 year old slipped from the area being so wet and started to bleed.
- wannah (2/5): Disappointing - We stayed in unit 523. Great location because I only had to use the elevators to get to the pool. As others have noted, the parking garage is really tight and oddly numbered. Two of the three elevators got stuck one day. The trash chute was blocked at least twice and people just piled up their trash outside the door (as I saw someone would have attempted to stick an actual trash can in there I am not surprised). We also had roaches - babies and juveniles. In the fridge, in the living room, in the dishwasher. I do not believe it was the management of my particular unit that was the problem but the building because all of the other issues I had were addressed timely. The roaches seemed to have needed intervention by building staff/maintenance, and no one came during our stay to spray or anything. We even saw them crossing into the room when we opened the door. There was a pile of junk that was just accumulating in an alcove outside our door, and I guess they were hiding in there. The pool music went until 10 every night and you could hear it. Bands play next door at Pineapple Willie's at times - also loud. Pool rules inconsistently enforced (my child could not use their kid sized float, but a grown woman was allowed to float on a full body one). People go down to the beach in the wee hours to put up their tents, leaving you no space whatsoever to get to the water, and then never even show up to use their tents! Chairs that you rent are behind the tents so don't count on a water view. You could walk out pretty far though because it was pretty shallow. I would not stay here again.
