• zalleah (5/5): Acceptible accommodation - Comfortable room, frendly staff. Second visit to this location Verandah table had smoke ash on table clearly missed had to clean table myself. The toilet seat was not on properly with the toilet bowl, had to put toilt paper on the exposed bowl each time to sit on toilet. The tv control not operating properly eg...up down to input to enable set up to watch movies.
• Ann (7/5): A comfortable bed, clean small room & ensuite but disappointed with lack of aircon remote when checking in ( tempera - Clean comfortable room , small but has all you need. Close to secure parking, close to Hotel Amenities The room I was booked into didn’t have an airconditioner remote control . Very hot and airless in the room , I needed to use the toilet on arrival & it would have been about 35’C in the room. No windows or fan in the room , I had to go back to the reception to get them to help me change rooms. The staff couldn’t find the remote control either. All together it was a disappointing start but the staff were apologetic & friendly. I went to the pool the next day, it wasn’t very clean, there were a lot of dead leaves in the pool. There was cleaning equipment in the pool, but I’m not sure it was working & there appeared to be lots of other debris in the water. The Hotel was quiet, it was the off season & so they didn’t appear to be busy with many guests. The 2nd room i moved into I couldn’t put the fan & light on in the toilet/ shower area as it made a very loud screeching noise.

One proximity card issued meant aircon etc was turned off when I went out. Put washing machine on and realised when I returned to the room the electricity was cut due to only having one entry proximity card key.

• Paul (3/5): Two good nights sleep but next time I will bring my own coffee and tea! - Lovely location and restaurant and staff generally friendly and helpful. Staff all seemed to be brand new with little comprehension of anything outside their particular sphere of responsibility. Restaurant meals and service were very good. Bar service was good. No breakfast option, no coffee or sugar satchel in the room and tea bags that had been left in the room in the year Koombana sank. Wi Fi non existent in the room even using my own modem. television work but no functioning battery in the remote control.

• Helmut (7/5): Eine gute Wahl auf der Tour. - Ein typisches Outback-Hotel. Alles vorhanden, was man für 1-2 Nächte braucht. Das Essen im Restaurant war sowohl abends als auch morgens gut und reichlich.

• Mark (2/5): Good if you enjoy 1990s construction camp style accommodation - Location was close to the areas we wanted to visit. The rooms were the same size and fitout as mine construction site dongas I experienced in the 1990s. They are minimalistic and claustrophobic. There is a window which looks out into the next row of rooms. On the evening I stayed there were people drinking, talking, and playing music just outside my room until 930pm. The wifi did not work that evening for either the indoor TV or my devices. The bed light didn't work and the work desk in the room had no chair because none would have fit.

• Rob (7/5): An Oasis for travellers - The Spinifex is a great hotel in Derby. It is modern and comfortable. The addition of a washing machine in the room was a bonus. The dining room food is excellent The only negative was the poor wi fi in the room . As more people used it the slower it become, so much so it was unusable.
