- beckygN6134WZ (4/5): Cold pool - My husband and I had our 4 year old granddaughter, who lives in Pittsburgh, stay all night with us at hotel with plans of enjoying the pool. It was too cold to enjoy. Front desk said pool was set at 82 degrees. I bought a pool thermometer and checked temp several days we were there. It was really 75 degrees. After returning home, I received an email from management saying they were waiting on a part for the Heat Exchange and that " Pool temperature is not a mandated item to have heaters at all pools." Saddens me that I cannot recapture the time with my grandchild.

We had complimentary snacks and sodas in our Premium Suite. Texts daily from management asking if anything was needed. We would definitely stay at this property again.

- Zeta0289 (8/5): Great stay and great price. - We spent a night there on the way from Toronto to NC. It was late when we got there so we had to navigate some twists and turns to get there, so be mindful of that if you travel late. But the hotel was nice. Ample free parking. The rooms are super large with all the amenities you good want. There is no separate area for the living and sleeping spaces so be aware of that. The only issues were the shower wasn’t working properly. I had to do some maneuvering of the handles to get it to come on. And the ice maker started to make loud noises in the middle of the night. So loud we had to basically turn it off to stop it from keeping us up. Otherwise the stay was great. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location was off the beaten path but safe. And the rate was wonderful! Recommend of you’re in the area.

- S8343RXtammyb (4/5): Not the Hilton we were expecting - We stay at Hilton all the time and particularly choose the Homewood when we can because of the kitchen, the breakfast and the comfy beds. This Homewood was a real disappointment. The room had an odd smell when we came in. It did not smell clean or fresh. We later discovered that the dishwasher was full of dishes, just disgusting! Who knows how long they had been there, but clearly the cleaning staff did not check to see if the dishwasher had been emptied. When my husband went to the front desk to tell them about this the person at the front desk handed him a dishwasher pod and barely reacted, didn't act surprised at all, almost like this has happened before? - didn't offer to make it better. No sense of what customer service means. Once the dishwasher ran the smell seemed to go away - again so DISGUSTING!. At breakfast, the eggs were clearly powdered and floating in water. again DISGUSTING. This is the first time we have had such low quality food at a Hilton. The pullout couch was awful - barely any substance to the mattress and the sheets were paper thin. When we went to pull out the couch it was covered with a slip cover and underneath was a filthy, old, stained couch. Again DISGUSTING! As for our King Size Bed it definitely did not meet the Hilton standard. It was not comfortable and plush like you usually get at a Hilton. It was sagging and uncomfortable. My husband and I did not sleep well. The 3 of us ended up with sore backs and a headache. This experience was not good from top to bottom. We are so disappointed in this Hilton. The cost to rent the room was not cheap and it was definitely not worth the money we paid. We will not stay at this property again! Hilton should be disappointed in this property and how it has gone downhill. What a shame! But there are more chains to choose from.

I've already reached out to the venue and they have passed them on to their maintenance staff for correction so I wont list them here. However one issue that I doubt maintenance can do much about was the ac/heating unit was loud in the room due to where it was located and was slightly off-putting.

Great location, close to the airport, and several excellent restaurants only minutes away. There were a number of irritable things that kept it from being excellent, such as: the coffee maker in the room was useless; there were only two knives in the utensil drawer, and both were very dull and broken; only two luggage racks in the room (even though there were two beds (did the think that one party would not have a suitcase?); two tv's, but one of the remotes did not work; other stuff like that, simply lack of attention to the details, but we coped. We would stay there again

- Ashley (6/5): Marijuana Smell horrible!! - The front desk staff was friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Biggest complaint is the smell of marijuana in the hallways was awful. As soon as we left the room the smell hit us in the face. The food was cold, but acceptable. The pool water was freezing and the pictures online make the pool look much bigger.

- darlenes882 (4/5): Disappointing - If you want to be uncomfortable, then this is your place. The only time time my husband and I sat on the sofa during our four day stay was when we initially checked in. We both sat down to see how it was. It was broken down and very uncomfortable. The beds were very saggy; when I got up in the morning, my back ached. The dining chairs were ok. The carpeting seemed stained and dirty, but I guess that's what you get staying at a hotel that is pet friendly. But when I saw some strands of hair in one of the bathroom vanity drawers, I closed it and didn't use it. All three treadmills in the fitness center were out of service. I was told new ones are ordered. If this is important to you (as it is for me), I would advise to ask about them before you book a room. I ended up walking all the floors and steps each morning in lieu of a treadmill. The breakfast was typical of a hotel of this kind.

- Britney (4/5): - I liked staying here because the shuttle service. Spending the night to goto the airport for early morning flights is convenient. However, the shuttle was supposed to arrive at 4am to get us to the airport for a 6am flight. It was past 4am and the driver still hadn’t showed and staff could not reach them. I was forced to drive to the airport, waste time parking and then walk the long distance to get to security. I chose the shuttle because I’m disabled and don’t have the privilege of running through the airport if I’m late. Not only did I have to pay for parking but I nearly missed my flight due to poor communication and an untimely driver. I’m upset that I paid to stay at this hotel so that I could park my car for free during my trip but then I had to drive myself to the airport, pay for parking and pay for the hotel. I was very disappointed!

The hot breakfast was decent, well attended, and clean. My family was in town for a wedding and we all agreed we would stay here again.

- lubawski73 (2/5): Avoid at all costs! - Public Hair on a used piece of soap stuck on top of the refrigerator, tile fell off the wall, no drinking glasses, empty cabinets! Carpet stained all over, couch looked like a worn Petri dish! TV did not work, was told yeah that room does not get tv access however, you can go to the breaker box and try to reset it. I did not feel safe accessing the breaker box so we had no TV for three days. The front desk staff was rude and dismissive as well as the sales manager!!! The manager we asked to contact us never did! We have spent so many nights in Hiltons and Homewood Suites due to business travel, we will be going back to Marriott!! This hotel could care less if they have return guests and offer no apologies for their horrendous service! A total waste of money!

Our shower did not drain and it took them a long time to even find us a plunger! Husband fixed the problem! Could also see the piles of garbage outside when eating breakfast. Watched the breakfast crew interact with guests rather than wipe down tables (that sorely needed it). For the money, this should have been a much more pleasurable experience!

- Ryan (4/5): - The lobby, breakfast area, pool area, and fitness center were all very nice and in good condition. However, the rooms and the furnishings are a different story. The carpet in our room was covered in stains. One stain looked like a pet had pee'd on it. Another stain was sticky and looked like gum was stuck in the carpet. The furniture, particularly the sofa and desk chair were ripped and falling apart. The sofa was also covered in stains. I notified the front desk and the general manager of the conditions and they were very kind and apologetic. They were honest and agreed that the hotel needs to be updated. We, unfortunately ,were not the only customers to complain about our room. We were respectful in the feedback we gave the employees and they were respectful in how they responded and treated us. However, this hotel badly needs new furnishings and carpets.

Location was awesome to everything local needed just outside of Pittsburgh. Pool was perfectly warm for my toddler! place is insanely clean and great staff. - jillian (10/5): - Location was convenient for a stay just outside of PIttsburgh - it was easy to get in & out of the city. We checked in the day of the global Microsoft outage, and the hotel faced some challenges with overbooking but managed it well. One thing I was surprised about, and did not see it noted anywhere, is that the pool is used for swimming lessons. It was not available to hotel guests on the Saturday morning of our stay. I would have had disappointed kids, if I had been counting on a swim prior to check out. Overall, a good stay for our family of 5.
