Guest Reviews
- Kevin (8/5): - Inexpensive and good for a night.
- Joanne (8/5): - The hotel room was across from thenext to the
- Pedro G (8/5): Bien para costo beneficio - Bien ubicado el hotel, nada mas los elevadores muy chicos, y siempre es lento la bajada subida. Desayuno cumplidor, personal amable.
- Sonia (8/5): - The property is in a good location the Malecón is a couple of streets down ,it can be walkable if the the heat isn't extreme or raining. We used the Didi service app which was wonderful and affordable, to get around. The only thing I didn't like was the beds were very small ,they seemed to be like an extra large twin bed. It ok for a single person ,but Not for 2 person . Also the pool was a bit run down and dirty, had to ask if they would clean it. Other then that its ok to stay if your on a budget.
- Liliana (6/5): - Good breakfast 👌 but they never change my linen, the pool was dirty ( poor maintenance) the phone was broken and the shower door was something wrong cos it was hard to closed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, beautiful view from the rooftop pool. But the key cards for the room had to be reset repeatedly and the ice machine was broken.
- Kristin (10/5): - Great friendly service
- Azucena Apolonia (10/5): - Great
- Maher (8/5): - Good
- Erika (6/5): - Daily breakfast was good. There were food options. The washer worked yet the dryer has been out for a while according to staff laundromat opens like once a week or so. Shuttle service to airport was not available as vehicle was out of service.
- Arturo (8/5): - Very nice
- William (10/5): - Great service. Very attentive!
- Alejandra (4/5): - Cleaning staff waking us up laughing and screaming at 9am
- Noemi (10/5): - It was affordable and clean. it Exceded my expectations. I would definitely stay there next time.
- Celia (8/5): - The towels were so scratchy.
- Juan (6/5): - Shower not clean!!!!
- Jesus (6/5): - The hotel is dirty
- Navil (8/5): - Clean rooms.
Staff were friendly.
Good for a short stay.
- Peter (8/5): - walking distance to the marina district, nice local neighborhood
- Navil (10/5): -
Clean and comfortable, good place to stay for a quick trip.
Parking is not good. Few spaces.
- Samuel (10/5): - It is okay
- Juan Carlos (10/5): - La paz is Laid back, hotel was very convenient food and shopping in area beach was in walking distance 👌
- Janice (6/5): - The staff were pleasant but there was English language barrier between us. The breakfast was good. The rooms were very small and no fridge or coffee maker in them. They did have water and coffee available in the lobby at all times.
- Cynthia (4/5): - Pros:
The staff was excellent and willing to help with anything. The hotel was very safe, and security guards guarded the main entrance at night.
Cons: The rooms were small and outdated. There were only two small elevators that did not work correctly due to the faulty room keys. The room keys kept deactivating every day, so I had to go to the lobby more than once a day to get them reactivated. The walls were so thin you could hear people in the hall and the room next door. Per staff, this hotel is where many Little League families stay during tournaments. The children were unsupervised, and due to the thin wall, we could hear them screaming and running in and out of rooms till 1:00 am. I called the front desk, and they quieted the noisy guest.
- Pilar (10/5): - The free breakfast was OK. The waiter didn’t refresh the dishes when they were empty. The dining area was messy. Location was excellent and the accommodations were super small but adequate.
- Nehemias (10/5): - Clean facilities and nice staff.
- KAREN (4/5): - Check in girl nice but older male not very helpful or friendly. Room very small for the price, they had no ice and only 2 uncomfortable pillows in the room. The breakfast was very good tho
- Juan (8/5): - We stayed for one night because we arrived to La Paz a day earlier than planned and our condo was not available yet.
The rooms are very basic. Good if you just need a place to sleep. We came at spring break so it was over priced for what we got.
The staff was absolutely excellent. They also let us store our luggage there after we checked out while we waited to check in to our condo.
- Berenice (8/5): - Didn’t have ice machine :/
- Miguel (10/5): - Perfect location , not to far from malecon..
clean and great staff
- Richard (4/5): - The property was clean and safe. Staff were kind. The elevators were far too slow, there are no stairs to walk even if you want to or the alarm will sound. The pool is cold and looks dirty. You have to use your room card to activate electricity in your room so you can’t charge your cell phone while you’re gone. There’s no fridge in the room so you can’t keep any leftovers. The breakfast is Mexican so you don’t get plain eggs they are filled with pork so if you’re any kind of a vegetarian, I guess eggs are off the menu.
- Wen-Hsin (8/5): - Good room, great breakfast and very helpful staff, the toilet is a little small but not a big problem. Only shame is there is no socket next to the bed, only place is to charge on the table at the other corner to the bed.
- Jose (10/5): - Great
- Helga (8/5): Clean rooms - It is a newer hotel with a nice breakfast. The room was small but very clean. They would not let us checkin until 3pm when we arrived at 130. The need to take an elevator to enter hotel is weird. Waste a lot of time waiting for small elevator and 1 of 2 usually out of order. No option to use stairs. Annoying.
- karen (10/5): - Clean with an excellent breakfast and location. Comfortable beds. Tiny room.
- RUBEN (10/5): - The Location is excellent, the Room has everything you need
- Diane (8/5): - Exactly how advertised
Small rooms, but adequate
Good breakfast daily
- Minerva (8/5): - Good
- Shawn (10/5): - Great place
- Rebecca (8/5): Worth it for a budget traveller - Needed a budget hotel to visit La Paz, this one is fine. Walkable to cathedral and malecon. Breakfast decent, hotel hallways noisy and beds way too soft.
- rito (10/5): - Nice bed
- Claudia (10/5): I would stay here again - I really enjoyed this hotel. It's very centrally located and always felt safe as a solo traveler.
- Daniela (10/5): - Very nice and quite place. Safe!
- Alek (8/5): - Se me hace absurdo que le dan 20-30 minutos para desayuno. Alberca arriba tiene malas condiciones, cristales no están limpios, camastros rotos y alberca huele a meado.
De resto todo fue excelente.
- Vafa (10/5): - Nice hotel , great staff , good parking
- Derek (8/5): - Pretty good deal. Rooms are small but I slept very well. Lots of free parking. 10 minute walk to the Malecón, across the street from a laundromat. Breakfast consisted of chilaquiles with different meat choices each day as well as yogurt, cereal, bread, and juices. The elevators were tiny and took a long time sometimes. Nice rooftop pool that I never used but it had a nice view.
- Donna (8/5): - Nice and clean, to get 5 stars would be a closed front toilet seat as the plastic was inferior and myself and husband due to open front slid into bowl and pinched our skin. It was worth what we paid but due to gap in glass shower door the floor was soaked any time anyone showered. Booked 4 people needed to ask for the extra two towels.
Plus side comfortable beds and pillows, the fan A/C was built in with a proper thermostat,
Food market 1.5 blocks north
The breakfast was sufficient but there was bread with no toaster and no sweet breads were offered in our 2 night stay.
FYI the pool area has amazing views of the sea of Cortez and west part of city
The pool itself isn’t heated.
The toilet seat should be addressed especially for anyone larger I’m average 5,9” female at 160lbs and I was not impressed each time I used, otherwise would have been higher rating.
The T.V did swivel and due to the width of the room and it being at my head height I moved it close to the wall after hitting my head on the only storage (shelf) below window.
Bit cramped for a family of four but sufficient, clean and comfortable beds.
- Hilda (8/5): - Location very convenient.
- CLAUDIA (10/5): - Very polite staff
- CLAUDIA (10/5): - Very polite staff.
- HILDA (10/5): - Excellent service!
- Vafa (10/5): - Nice hotel great staff specially Mr. Heraldo at front desk was great to accommodate all our needs.
- randy (10/5): - I've stayed here before and it's always a safe bet. A little Spartan in regard to furnishings but always clean and well-maintained. Some might find the hot water provided in the shower not hot enough but for me it was sufficient. The Free breakfast in the morning was very good also.
- Ann (10/5): - Very fine stay for a combination business/tourist trip.
- Les (8/5): - Friendly staff and helpful. Wifi not secure suggested they improve this.
- ELSA (10/5): - me gusta que a lo largo de los años han mantenido su calidad y servicio
gracias
- Jaime (2/5): - The pool area was so dirty ! Looked like someone had a party and didn’t clean up. No towels in the pool area it’s so inconvenient that you have to go to the lobby and ask for them . The rooms are so small ! Not big enough for 4 people . The beds are twin size beds not Queens . I would not stay here again
- Marco (6/5): - Rooms are very small, feels like your in a capsule. Bathroom is even smaller than normal. What is the biggest headache is that you can only use 2 small elevators to move from floor to floor, there are no stairs (only emergency stairs). You could spend 5-10min just waiting to get in a elevator to get to the first floor of the hotel to leave. The lobby is located on the second floor which makes it a hassle to move from your room to the 1st floor to exit with high demand to get to the lobby where you go for the included breakfast which is pretty basic (scramble eggs, beans, cereal, yogurts, coffee and tortilla chips with salsa. Would not recommend this hotel unless your only reason for going to La Paz is for a short economic/basic business trip. It's worth paying 50-80 dlls more for a better hotel.
- Wm. (10/5): - Great value
- Elena Ma. (10/5): - Staff is genuinely concern about our stay in the hotel, Healthy food safe town.
- Lina (6/5): - Room was very small
- Gerardo (4/5): - I liked it was quiet, I didn’t like the hotel overall
- Maria (6/5): - They had the same breakfast every day except the eggs were different every day. They had tinga, pork and chile verde, skirt steak and potatoes ect…were some of the items offered on different days for breakfast which didn’t make sense because it’s breakfast. The pool was cold and a little dirty. The beds were small but comfortable. If you are 6’ tall you won’t fit well on the bed. Towels need to be replaced they were dingy. My daughter got her towel with foundation still on it. Room is small if all you want is to rest. Bathroom needs ventilation. If you want early check in you have to pay a half day. On the website it says it provides airport shuttle but it only goes out at 10:30 a.m. no other time. Staff was nice. Internet worked well.
- Serghei (8/5): - review
- Enrique (8/5): - Friendly staff at front desk.
- marlon (6/5): Factura sin entregar - Nunca me entregaron factura de mi hospedaje, les hable 10 veces y siempre quedaron en enviarla y nunca lo hicieron.
- Alicia (10/5): - We had a good stay and food was good.
- Salvador Marroquin (8/5): - Near the Malecon
- Luis (10/5): - Very nice hotel, very friendly staff and good breakfast. You should have a car in order to visit the tourist place in La Paz. It is far from there and very hot most of the time.
- Jeffrey (6/5): - Staff permitted early check in, and we did not schedule this in advance. Breakfast was included and had good choices.
- John (4/5): - Didn't have enough parking for our team.
- ELIZABETH (10/5): - i lovet it
- Charles (6/5): - I liked the view of the city from the rooftop.
I didn't like the small size of our room that was described as a superior room. We stayed at another hotel in a superior room for the same price and the room was huge and the hotel had a lot of amenities. I most likely will not stay here again.
- MAYRA (6/5): - Elevator is a nightmare, had to stop by at reception every time I had to go up because the hotel key was not working. The rooms are extra small. No much room for luggage
- GRICELDA (8/5): - This property needs to take care more of their rooms, deep cleaning on bathrooms, very bad condition of the towels, small rooms, but they offer a good breakfast, great customer service from Lupita at breakfast area.
- Dirk Erik (6/5): - Lots of little issues like old (old!!!) towels, no warm water, cards didnt work most of the time, AC issues...
- ryan (6/5): - Huge stain on our sheets and the pool and surrounding glass looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a long time. Pool view of Melecone was amazing. Staff was friendly and we were only using rhe hotel for 1 night. If youre looking for a short stay its fine. I wouldnt stay multiple nights though
- Clifford (6/5): - Beds very small, Not Double Beds As Stated !!
- Luis (4/5): - The location is very convenient, you can walk to the malecón and restaurants around downtown. My disappointment was the sewer smell in the room and the bad shape of the towels. I’ve been in La Paz many times and there are better places for the same or even less money. First and last time staying at the One.
- Karen (6/5): - The location for us was very convenient. Breakfast was very good each morning. Unfortunately and no fault to hotel there was a dog in the mechanic compound next door that barked half the night so we got very little sleep!
- Rue (8/5): - Great location near the Malecon and Carnaval activities. Room was small with no amenities but there was a tea/coffee, microwave station in lobby. Free breakfast. Liked the idea of the access card turning on everything but get a 2nd card in case one of you leaves bc the lights go out. Pool was cold. Nice views.
- Gregg (10/5): - Easy short quarter mile walk to the Malecon Which is truly impressive.
Sunsets from the rooftop pool are spectacular!
- Jodi (2/5): - Despite the property not being full, they wouldn’t let us check in early. They are firm on the time, so now we have to sit around for 2 hours with no place to put our luggage or anything to do
- JCarlos (10/5): - Buena opción de hospedaje en La Paz
- Dirk Erik (10/5): - Pract
- David (6/5): - Very small rooms, paper thin walls, elevator electronics inconsistent, many room key entry problems.
- Andrina (10/5): - Very beautiful
- Tracy (8/5): - I liked it
- Maria (6/5): - Nice hotel but it does not have a closet nor drawers. Very small place for clothing to be put in.
- Tracy (4/5): Don't waste your money! - The good..great parking! The not so good..everything else. I was so disappointed in this hotel that I only stayed 1 night and then moved to a different location. I have never seen a room so small, the "double" bed was barely bigger than a twin. The room was so small that there was literally no room for luggage. No closet and no dressers either. I am a small framed person, had I been a large framed person, I wouldnt have fit in the shower or been able to turn around in the bathroom.
- Melonie (2/5): - This hotel is not walking distance to the malecón, especial in the heat. Rooms are very small, felt a bit dingy. Anyone off the street can come in and get in the elevator to any floor. I couldn’t use my added security door jam because the door was too close to the side wall. They charge way too much for this place on Expedia. When I checked in the sign for the daily rate was $22.00.
- Octavian (6/5): - Poor area
- Rollin (6/5): - Clean but small room. Breakfast was less than average. Coffee was like water.
- Steven Lawrence (10/5): - Great breakfast
- Ram (8/5): - Good location good value nice view
- Kelly (8/5): - The Hotel is basic and simple. Not a resort Hotel. But a simple clean building which covers what you need.
- Ofelia (10/5): - The service, the breakfast included is delicious and fresh the bedding is very clean and the bathroom is nice and ver clean.
- Christina (8/5): - Beds smaller than usual
- Albana (10/5): - Amazing service.
- Carol (8/5): - Convenient
