Lisa (1/5): - When I saw the property, it felt like a prison compound completely surrounded by metal fencing, and only accessible via a coded gate. The quality inn across the street looked very inviting instead. So, I checked booking.com to see whether I was still within the cancellation window. I was. I canceled the booking successfully per booking.com. 30 minutes later my bank was charged for the night at motel 6, and when I called them, I was rudely informed that they had changed their policies months ago. They then informed me that the mistake was booking.com's and that they would not refund me. Needless to say, I am pursuing this. I have also never been charged by motel 6 before arriving at the desk and presenting my card. I thought that was a reflection of the management's general paranoia.

Oakley (1/5): Worst weekend stay ever! - Nothing Tv stopped working and wouldn't send anyone to look at it. No microwave anywhere. No fridge anywhere. Soda machine too expensive. People partying and noisy in parking lot all night. Management did nothing to stop it. Will not be staying there again. Charging a deposit we never got back

Jim (7/5): Walking distance to Discovery Park and Old Sacramento - I was very happy to be within walking distance (during the daytime) of Old Sacramento and Discovery Park. Both locations provided me with enough exercise, outdoor experiences and history that I was very glad to have chosen the hotel. I felt safe during my stay but the need for extra security measures was a bit disconcerting. After walking around nearby, I do understand why the hotel needs to take these precautions.

Door had a large gap on the bottom so that the outdoor noise enters the room, oddly the room trash was never taken out of the room for the two following nites stayed and also the room lacked a chair next to the desk so I ate my meals on the floor. ,

Sarah (10/5): - I booked a room for my son and I for the Afyershock festival. The hotel is within walking distance of the venue. We couldn’t get a room early, we arrived around 11am. They let us get the parking pass so we could leave our car and then check in after the festival. I wasn’t able to book the accessible room, my son is in a wheelchair, but they were kind enough to give us a downstairs room. The room was clean, comfortable, and large enough for me to move my son around easily. It had the amenities we needed. None of the extras. But that’s OK. I appreciate the gated parking lot and the many security cameras throughout the motel grounds. And the staff has screens up in the lobby so they can keep an eye on everything. I felt very safe in a not so safe part of town. This is our second time booking with them, and I’m sure we will be back next year!

The staff has greeted us friendly, the check-in process was quick and smooth. The room was clean, with towels for all guests available. We did find some hairs on the towels though. Of the toiletries provided, we found only soap.

Mark (7/5): A solid choice for inexpensive lodging with a very nice room - I think the rooms were recently remodeled. The furnishings were very nice. Even the bathroom faucet and sink were nicer than what I've got at home. Nice flooring, nice bathroom, big TV, microwave and small refrigerator. Everything you need but maybe a chair. The room doesn't furnish any shampoo, so bring some. Motel 6s are a great value, so I can understand that. The room lighting is bright - there's no soft-light option anywhere. The bedside lights, sink-area light, main-room light are all bright, so there's no way to leave a little light on in the evening. The office sign says they have coffee, but I didn't see that until after I went to the gas station across the street in the morning. The neighborhood seems a little sketchy at night, as do some of the long-term-tenant guests, but the place is safe and the parking lot is behind a motorized gate, so the place is pretty safe and I'd stay there again.
