- Fairoakien (10/5): Fun getaway. Lots to do in the area. - Excellent location and a beautiful hotel
- Toni (3/5): Once was enough. - The room was so small that chairs could not fit. It was not really pet friendly. If we wanted dinner there we would have to sit & eat in the lobby. Parking was inconvenient.
- Austin (9/5): - Comfortable. Great older bldg and architecture Nothing
- Hinara'i (8/5): Très charmant - L’emplacement. Le manque de parking et le café trop de temps d’attente…
- Kristyne (8/5): -
- Denise (10/5): - Location! Historic building was nice!
- Stephen (5/5): - Great location...hotel is comfortable and clean My issue is that the Booking final price and hotel final price don't ever seem to align...need to start finding an alternative to Booking.
- Marcia (10/5): gave you the feel for Petaluma and it’s history, you don’t need a car here to walk around town, wonderful restaurants an - The location, the parking, the ambience, the historical Maybe a little noisy because of the building and on the weekends, but not a huge

- Denise (9/5): Charming downtown hotel - I found this hotel to be charming. It is an historic hotel that has been nicely updated. Since it’s older, the rooms aren’t super large - but ours was very comfortable, if a bit snug. The location is phenomenal, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants downtown. We had free parking right in front of hotel for the weekend. Lobby and patio very pleasant, people hanging out, nice atmosphere All good by us
- Patrick (10/5): - The lobby is beautiful, the staff extremely helpful and pleasant and did their utmost to accommodate me and make sure my stay was pleasant. At all hours. I appreciated the attention paid to how the visit was going. This is probably outside the hotel's control, but there's an attached bakery/coffee shop and it would be great if they accepted cash. Pulling out a credit card and being confronted with a tip challenge first thing in the morning is a bit much.

- ScottD58 (10/5): Love Tapestry Brand! - I used to be a Hilton guy, joining in 95 I didn’t slot if nights, but somewhere along the line I became a Starwood guy now Bon Voy and forgot about Hilton until recently. I am living the Tapestry hotels, great value, interesting properties in exciting places. Well done!
The downtown Petaluma built in 1923 is really fun, and with Shuckers and Costeaux under the same roof you don’t have to go far for a great meal. But with so many options in Petaluma you could easily spend a week just exploring.
Our room with its own heat pump was cool in the heat and quiet. And with free parking, it’s a great value. Would definitely stay here again!

- Diane (10/5): Good vibes - Historic nature Room and bath on the small side

- David (10/5): A perfect and charming place to stay to explore a charming little downtown area. - The hotel was lovely. The lobby is beautiful. The staff is friendly and accommodating and we got a wonderful corner room on the second floor overlooking the street with lots of light. The experience was wonderful. No criticisms.
- Shelly (10/5): Prime Location for downtown Petaluma - Wonderful location with easy access to downtown shops and restaurants. Despite being very busy and my room was right behind the elevator, it was super quiet in the room. Not much could be done about this, but the view out the windows was not attractive (buildings and alley)
- Vonda (10/5): Great place to relax and unwind right in the heart of Petaluma - This property is top tier in every respect. I have stayed here several times and never been disappointed. parking

- Cheryl (8/5): - We were there for one night. The renovation was a missed opportunity. Work was poorly done and maintenance is haphazard at best.
- DonInSD (9/5): - We licked the overall feel and architecture. The room was nice and the staff were fantastic. I tried to change my reservations through Booking and was unable to. I could not change through Hilton as I used Booking. :-[
- Stuart (3/5): -
- Diana (10/5): This is one of my favorite hotels! - Close to everything Parking
- Jose (9/5): -
- Joni (8/5): Great staff & location. - Location First room thermostat was not working, 2nd room sufficient but first one is nicer.
- rebeccaf24 (6/5): Beautiful fireplace in lobby but they rarely turn it on - Even on a cold rainy day with lobby full of people they don’t want to turn on fireplace, I imagine to save money but it’s a shame and inhospitable
- Verania-Roberts (5/5): This time I was disappointed in the offerings. - It’s quaint. Been here before, wanted to share the experience with friends. The elevator was broken, they moved us to a smaller room and the stairs were difficult for my friends to negotiate. Then the fireplace was broken which was the best part about the lounge area and it was just a damp wet evening where the room was too small for us (4) to hang out in.. *my first experience was delightful with all those little things that make it feel relaxing..
- Darrell (9/5): Nice older hotel in the heart of the historic downtown. - Beautiful old building, friendly helpful staff, in the historical downtown. Our room was a bit smaller than expected and with less light/windows. No parking.
- A7503IGkimberlyh (10/5): Historic Charm & Great Location! - We were so happy to have found hotel Petaluma. We selected it for it’s location which is equidistant from California wine country and San Francisco. It was exactly as pictured and expected. We enjoyed all the comforts that one comes to expect with staying at a Hilton location, but we were charmed by the historic building and the surrounding Petaluma area. There are so many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Plus, in the hotel there is a delightful coffee bar and bakery, cheese shop, and the lobby bar serves excellent cocktails. The customer service was fantastic and the hotel staff went above and beyond to help us and make our stay comfortable. We are looking forward to a return stay in the future!
- Lindsay (6/5): Had a nice time, but could use some improvements. - The building itself is beautiful, the lobby is very nice. Very tiny bathroom, poor amenities, asked for a nondown pillow and it was terrible, very loud, you could hear a lot in adjacent rooms.
- Katherine (9/5): -
- Marin (10/5): The stay was excellent!! We enjoyed the hotel very much - Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff! Great hotel Nothing except we were by the road and it’s a lot of road noise
- Doane (8/5): - Staff were super friendly
Loved style of the place
Quiet room No free WiFi
Coffee in lobby was harsh
No dog waste bins so had to search for a bin on the street somewhere
- Karla (9/5): -
- Gina (3/5): Won’t stay here again. - The lobby and bar were very cool but got very crowded at Saturday happy hour with locals. The staff were very nice. I was given a room off the elevator and stairs. I asked to change. They couldn’t because the hotel was full they said. They offered earplugs and to call neighboring rooms if there was too much noise. There was too much noise until about 2 am. I can’t wear earplugs when sleeping and I didn’t know which rooms were noisy to report. The walls are paper thin. The next door occupants sounded like they were in my room when conversing and they had a big dog! Doors started opening and closing around 6 am, to take dogs outside for their business I imagine. The bed was not comfortable. Felt cheap and too soft. Had a terrible night sleep.
- Cecilia (5/5): - Beds Very noisy, dogs barking and you could hear people in room across from us. Pipes were loud too
- Bambe (8/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): - Very nice. Ill be back
- Billie (3/5): - The Location I reserved 2 rooms for myself and 2 friends who had just flown in from London, we had 2 deluxe Queens, there was nothing deluxe about them, soooh small, we thought we had been given the wrong rooms, I was staying two nights, and they were staying 3, after the 1st night my friends were told that they would have to move on the last night as the elevator would not be going to the 4th floor, they could cancel the last night or do a move, my friends really didn’t want to pack up and move as they liked the location, so Ben front desk, said he had found a room for them on the second floor, which was slightly better, we had no help, we then had to find a trolley and do the move ourselves, and they had a lot of luggage
.This was definitely not a Hilton Class Hotel, most embarrassing for me as I had made the reservations
But we made the best of it
I will never stay in a Franchise Hotel ever again, the only good thing about the Hotel was Ben the front desk and the location
Thank you

- GOLF_ADVENTURE (10/5): Quaint Historic Hotel - Fantastic quaint historic hotel in an absolutley gorgeous historical location of Petaluma. Beautiful hotel in an ideal location in Petaluma. The food is good and the bartenders are exceptional. The lobby of the hotel takes you back in time to the hotel's origin. The hotel is a bit noisey due to it's location but it does not last for very long. This hotel is likely better for guests without younger children. Take note: if you book a room on the 5th floor you will have to walk up stairs from the 4th floor since the elevator only services the first four floors.
- Berit (10/5): -
- AUNZTraveller (4/5): Nice hotel but avoid room 201 & rooms Oma near busy intersection. - Nice hotel in downtown Petaluma.
Bed was quite comfortable.
Do NOT get room 201 or any room at the corner of E. Washington & Kentucky as you are above the towns busiest intersection with a beeping crosswalk.
Via the Hilton Honors app, I selected a room on the 4th floor and very far away from that busy intersection but I was given room 201. Since I was only there 1 night I did not complain (until now). I should have complained but I hate being the senior citizen complaining to the young front desk clerk.
Also, I requested ahead of time to have non-feather pillows but got 4 duck feather pillows. Service needs some improvement.
Bonus: nice coffee shop on the first floor.
Yes, I’ll stay here again because it’s the only hotel I could find to downtown Petaluma.

- shepherd (5/5): Beautiful old building carefully restored with pleasant amenities - really enjoyed the restored 1927 hotel lobby and courtyard, which were very pleasant . The desk staff were especially helpful. Very small bathroom
- Karen (8/5): - Comfortable, clean, good service
- Mary (1/5): Beautiful hotel. Great location. The lack of oxygen in room was awful - Location good but shocked no parking The rooms muggy. Could hardly breath. Bad control on air. Air pressure bad. No ventilation.
- Kristina (9/5): -
Hemos dormido fatal.
- Jeff (5/5): It's a nice hotel, but don't stay there when the HVAC is broken. - Service was friendly, bathroom was nice, lobby was well kept Unfortunately, the HVAC was broken during our stay and we were provided a small space heater to heat the room. The space heater did heat the room but the room temperature was not in balance during the night. It was either too hot or too cold, which lead to a poor nights sleep with constant adjusting of the space heater.
- Maria Teresa (10/5): -
- Regina (10/5): -
- Farah (8/5): Good location, services lacking - Great location Room had a plug in heater because the heat wasn't working. Our family staying another room didn't have hot water
- Marika (10/5): - Our room and hotel is beautiful Street parking only
- Gor (10/5): - The old building and interior design, which went so well with the building itself. Cleanliness, staff, location. Couldn't be better Can't name a thing
- Cathi (10/5): -
- Scott (8/5): Expensive but beautiful. - A beautiful and historic hotel. Steep price for the lack of amenities.
- Anjali (9/5): -
- Rowena (9/5): -
- CrestWalker (10/5): Cute hotel and close to downtown - Really cute historic building. Roaring fire place and bar a nice touch around the holidays. Staff very helpful and friendly.
- Suman (9/5): Grear -
- Jody Burdick (8/5): If you can handle finding a parking spot, it's well worth it. Shops, food, and location.. - The location is fantastic. You can't beat the location, how ever parking is freaking Bitc... It took me for ever to find a place to park. Once I did I felt more relaxed and ready to start the day. I did like. that I can take the fast train to SF.. Loved that... Lots of wonderful shops, food and fast train.. I tagged you on my Tik-Tok.... Just a few things.. No hot water in the bathroom sink. I waited for ever and it really never got hot.. Be patient cause the parking is a nightmare. It was a Sunday and the hotel had a wedding so it's understandable. The next night however was a Monday-still parking was a freaking tense.
- Jan (10/5): - Location Noise near by
- Cristiana (9/5): - Bellissimo e caratteristico hotel in posizione ottima
- Janel (8/5): Excellent location, friendly staff, and overall well worth the money! - Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, updated and comfortable. Amazing bakery for morning treats and bar for night caps . Our room faced the courtyard - 530 am came around and deliveries were being made and they were a pinch loud and woke me up.
- Yesenia (10/5): -
- Herbert (9/5): - Great location! Hot water is not readily available during peak shower times.
- Christina (10/5): -
- Takeuchi (10/5): I’d love to stay again but please do something about the air conditioner. - Clean, big enough and stuffs are great. Air conditioner doesn’t work good or take too long time to get warm up like needed hours. One of stuff brought me a compact heater and it really helped.
- X6562IXlindseyc (4/5): VERY strict check in time, uncomfortable bed, loud rooms. - I never write reviews but I feel like I had to this time…. Highly do not recommend staying here. We arrive at 1:45 pm and were told check in was closer to 3:00 pm, so we had to go walk around a bit to waste some time. We got back after trying to waste some time and tried to check in again at 2:50 and were told we have to wait 10 MINUTES to check in. Actually insane that they couldn’t accommodate us 10 minutes before check in. I’ve been to many hotels and have never been told I can’t check in 10 minutes before check in time. Usually hotels try to be accommodating. We were very disappointed and I noticed other people were too. They were allowing a couple of people to check in early which was frustrating as well, maybe they paid for early check in, but I wasn’t offered that option.
On top of that, there is no parking for hotel guests which is pretty crazy to me, especially since Petaluma is a busy town.
We tried to move past the fact that they are VERY strict on check in time and the no guest parking situation, but the room wasn’t great either. The bed was so uncomfortable and I was up every hour. We could also hear loud noises outside and we could hear our neighbors making it hard to sleep as well.
We also tried to get drinks at the bar which took forever, so we ended up going to the wine tasting place connected to the hotel. The wine tasting place was good and nice. The only positives I have are the location and the nice wine tasting room and bakery connected to the hotel.
I would not recommend staying here!!!
- 932aries (10/5): Great escape to Northern California - Great hotel to stay with great charm and good people , service is great and walking distance to all restaurants in downtown Petaluma
We will come back again for sure
- Barbara (10/5): Charming hotel! We will be back! - Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of charming downtown Petaluma. Gorgeous, historical building with very comfortable rooms and a chic lobby bar with a grand fireplace. Reasonable rates. This is our third stay! Parking options are not ideal
- K1101XAkimr (4/5): Not worth it. - I’ve stayed in this hotel before, and had a bad experience with the HVAC system (room wouldn’t go below 80degrees). But because of the charm and location I thought that must be fixed by now and I’d try again. You can hear everything in these rooms. The neighbors TV, the cars on the street, etc. The deal breaker for next time is the parking. It’s atrocious. The hotel makes no accommodation for city events to support guests at all. Be prepared to park blocks away. There needs to be planning on the hotels part to support guests. Valet or dedicated parking.
- marinvagabond (10/5): Charm, downtown views, and service that hits the mark - I had such a lovely stay at Hotel Petaluma. Julia at the front desk greeted me with genuine warmth, and when I asked for her favorite room, she pointed me to a fourth-floor corner room and booked it for me right away. She was right. The two-sided downtown views were gorgeous and perfect for mapping out the evening.
The lobby was lively and dressed for the holidays, with guests enjoying the Shuckery oyster bar, the social bar, and Barber Cellars for wine and cheese. The whole place has an inviting, old-meets-new charm that makes you want to settle in.
With the hotel in the center of a walkable downtown, we wandered through wine bars, boutiques, and decor shops before a cozy dinner and a stop for local ice cream. It was the ideal Petaluma night.
Later, when I had a small thermostat issue, Theo fixed it in minutes and brought an extra blanket for good measure. I slept soundly, enjoyed a fantastic shower the next morning, and grabbed fresh local coffee from the lobby on my way out.
A delightful stay from start to finish!
- Diane (9/5): - I loved the fireplace in the lobby and very doggy friendly. Lighting in the bathroom was very poor.
- Linda (10/5): -
- Regina (10/5): FANTABULOUS - Ian and the Fireplace and the candy at the counter It feels a li’l bit on the extra wear side
- john (9/5): -
- Tina (5/5): - Lobby ambience No heat in my room on a very cold night.
- Regina (9/5): I’m coming back - The Christmas decorations, Theo and my complimentary Snickers Bar The one guy who totally hogged the fireplace
- Katherine (9/5): Excellent value! - Feels like home Slightly noisy on weekends
- Peter (4/5): Mediocre - Locale
Uniqueness Paper thin walls between rooms
Multiple led light on all night
Spilled water using white towel to clean up and it came out brown- yuck
- Kate (10/5): I would definitely stay here again - Beautiful building. Very warm and cozy. Loved the lobby area. It was kind of noisy at night. I think it was the air conditioning or something.
