It was quite noisy people going in and out of there to get things.
- Phil (6/5): Nice setting the rest questionable - The setting was fantastic, golf course looked great, spa looked good. Half hour drive to town. First of all we selected a deluxe king bedroom, the pictures showed that there was a couch, when we checked into our room it had two uncomfortable chairs. When I asked about this they said that some rooms come with chairs and not a couch. There was nothing in the discerption of the room that gave a hit of this. Second the resort indicated that their was three restaurants and a market on site, when I went over to the market it indicated that it was closed, even though the sign indicated that it was open on Friday through Sunday, we were there on Saturday, meaning that you would need to drive to town, a 30 minutes to get some snacks. Third, the configuration of the king sweet was awkward, Since the TV didn’t rotate you would have to watch from your which is not comfortable or from the two chairs which went comfortable. Fourth for what you are charged I would have expected more comfortable beds. All in all it has a nice facade but the comfort level was a 2 out of 10 and with stores being closed you were left with unreasonable choices. Thus the 3 rating.

- Sherri (9/5): If your looking for a relaxing and peaceful setting, this is it. - Beautiful private lodge sits amongst the juniper trees in a peaceful and serene setting. Lovely paved walking paths, several water falls and lots of wildlife. The only complaint were the beds. Very soft and low to the ground. The beds have a bulky wooden frame that protrudes out. Hubby busted his shin on it. So be cautious, if using the restroom at night.

The only breakfast available was at the restaurant next door to the hotel. It was exquisite but a bit more upscale than my needs with a toddler. I was hoping for a simple breakfast service to get my family on the road to our next destination.

Very limited options - initial research of the property showed multiple places to eat, etc. Once there, you only have one restaurant option with everything else “closed for the season” but we’re in season? This is August. To drive out is 30 mins to anything else. No cafe in the morning - front desk sent us back to the restaurant who was confused why we would go there for coffee. Spent $14 on a button pressed espresso and paid extra for shots that didn’t happen. Golf was great; a lot of “member only” so it nearly feels like you’re intruding being there.

- Justin (6/5): - We recently stayed at Juniper Reserve for a weekend getaway from July 19th to 21st. The resort itself is undeniably beautiful—immaculately maintained grounds, elegant architecture, and a serene atmosphere throughout. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Every team member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and professional. However, there were a few aspects of our stay that fell short of expectations, particularly given the premium price point. The room we were provided was noticeably small and lacked the spaciousness or comfort typically associated with accommodations in this tier. It simply didn’t offer the value we had anticipated. More concerning, on two separate occasions during our brief stay, we witnessed members of the private club speaking to staff in a demeaning and unnecessarily rude manner. It was disappointing to see such behavior go unchecked in an environment that otherwise strives for excellence and hospitality. We also brought our children with us—who were well-behaved and respectful throughout our stay—only to find that some guests and members seemed displeased by their presence. We were made aware that at least one guest even questioned why the resort would allow children. This created a somewhat unwelcoming atmosphere for families, despite no policy indicating that children are discouraged. In summary, while Juniper Reserve offers a beautiful setting and an exceptional staff, the experience left us feeling that it may not be the most suitable destination for a family vacation. It was nice to visit once, but given the overall tone and exclusivity toward families, we will probably not be returning.

- shannoncN4073GB (2/5): Very rude front desk manager and subpar overall experience. - Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience here. We stayed one night for Thanksgiving. The front desk manager, a blonde haired woman (with bad hair extensions), was very rude. My first interaction with her was when I called to ask about their King room and if the couch pulled out for our 4 year old. She was rude and short on the phone. When we arrived two days ago for check in, I recognized her voice. I said our dog who is an ESA was traveling with us and provided his verification card. She said "ok great" and handed the card back to me. The next morning I got a charge on my bill for $75 for the dog stay. When I asked why, the same woman claimed they do not accept ESA's and we'd still be charged. I asked her why she did not explain that at check in when I provided his card and she told me I was "supposed to know that already" - meanwhile EVERY other hotel accepts his ESA card with no additional charge. This hotel was dead with barely any guests so I guess they're struggling financially and need every little extra charge. I paid $30 for a specific sauna session in their barrel sauna from 7:30-8:30am yesterday. When we went out to the sauna it had not been turned on for us and was 50 degrees inside the sauna. I had a full work day yesterday and only had that one hour before starting a long work day at 9am. So this was highly disappointing. The Thanksgiving buffet for $80/person was ok. No major complaints on that. We are Bend locals and would not return - mostly because of the rude nature of the front desk manager.

The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was like a spa and had everything we needed. The mini kitchen was nice to have. We loved the big windows and the quiet evening we were there. Would stay again for sure! The absolute only thing we did not like, was not having breakfast included. but not a deal breaker. Its also a little far from town.

- hshumway (10/5): Expansive views of surrounding mountains, sweeping vistas and glorious sun sets and moon rises. Lovely rooms, great food - The hotel is gorgeous! Wild sage lined pathways welcome you along a winding road to an incredibly well appointed hotel. The king- bed Mountain View room was expansive! The bathroom had a lovely shower- lots of hot water! Great comfy bed with incredible views. The hotel’s restaurant, Iris, has lots of gf, v, and df options. The food is delicious, try the gf chicken chili and some of the curated mock tails. The servers were super knowledgeable about food sensitivities and allergens. The resort has rentals for pickleball courts, bikes, and golf. There is a great fitness center with weights, elliptical machines, and Peloton bikes. Take a walk along the perimeter of the preserve and enjoy the beauty of the high desert. Star gazing at night from the heated-extra-large hot tub and salt water pool truly top off the relaxing experience. Take time to sit by one of the numerous fire pits breathing in the fresh air and brilliant colors of the high desert. Enjoy this well designed hotel.

- DesertDog3000 (8/5): Nice stay outside Bend - Very nice and clean resort. It is about a half hour outside Bend, so a bit inconvenient if you’re visiting sites in or near Bend, but definitely a nice get away. We checked in late and their computer was rebooting so we had to wait quite a while to check in. Other than that, staff was friendly, room was clean ankd comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay.

- brianc458 (4/5): Beware you might not get the room you have paid for - This resort’s web/ booking site is misleading, disingenuous and has false advertising. Specifically, it alleges it has “Mountain View”’rooms available at a premium price. Our Mountain View room #233 was directly behind their large tall pool shed which completely blocked out any “Mountain View.”It is also located behind one of their 4? Story lodging buildings blocking out any views to the right. We thought we had been assigned one of their “standard” rooms and requested a rate adjustment, But No, the manager emphatically stated that room #233 and its adjoining room #227 were as advertised, even though he acknowledged the large pool building was directly blocking their views. So no adjustment for us. Go figure. The manager was blunt, curt and lacked any customer empathy. Sad. So, beware of Juniper Reserve when requesting any specific room. You may not get what you pay for. You have been warned. !

I heard the neighboring room talking and laughing quite clearly as well as a lot of thumping around from the floor above, but other than that a fantastic day.

- Deborah (10/5): Resort Pass Extended to an Overnight Stay - Although Juniper Preserve was not as close to Bend as I thought, the facilities there are very nice. The preserve is roughly 30 minutes from Bend and 32 minutes from Redmond. Aside from the absolutely beautiful surroundings and the fact that it is dog-friendly, the service really stood out. All of the staff we spoke with (front desk, restaurant, bar, snack bar) were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to answer questions. It is apparent that they love their jobs and they want the guest to love Juniper Preserve as much as they do. I'll be back!

- Jessica (8/5): Beautiful scenery, comfy room, need more food - Overall, it was a great experience. We really like the new wellness program and enjoyed a breath work class and massage. The property is beautiful. The main challenges we experienced were related to food options onsite, which is important with the remote location.

We were in town for a wedding, and I have to say — what an absolutely incredible place! The entire staff was welcoming and helpful, making our time in Oregon unforgettable. One team member in particular, Lobarto, truly went above and beyond. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to everyone’s comfort and safety stood out in the best way. He played a big part in making the weekend such a success, and I just want to give him the recognition he deserves. Thank you, Lobarto — you made a great weekend even better! Individuals like yourself make people revisit again and again.

The only thing that could be improve a little was the pool is kinda cold. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I wish the place has more food options. I recommend ppl to bring some snacks and drinks specially if u have kids or want some snacks after swimming and at night time.

Had I known, I would have picked up some food before arriving.

Not a high-end resort. - We booked our reservations six months in advance, only to be notified the week before we were coming that our unit was unavailable due to some booking and maintenance issues and that we were being upgraded to the penthouse suite on the third floor. After going around and around with the contact person, they were able to move us back into a unit like we originally booked. But we had to stay one night in the suite. It is definitely not a penthouse suite and definitely would not have met our needs because we wanted to grill and have a patio that was large enough for our guests. They promised to move our food items for us while we were golfing plus all of our baggage, and they did. After being there two days in what turned out to be a standalone townhome unit that was very old and tired, we discovered the refrigerator was not working well. We had been marinating raw meat so that we could grill. When I notified them, they said yes, they were aware of that and that we should’ve been using the refrigerator in the garage and not that refrigerator. That would’ve been nice to know. And you really should not rent a unit if the refrigerator is not working. I could tell you several more stories of disappointment and poor service, but if you think you are going somewhere that is very high-end, this is not that. Also, it is way out in the wilderness on a long windy road, so it is not easy to escape and go into town and have a decent meal. Buyer beware. Do your research before going.

They had an event one evening that you could tell they couldn’t keep up and people were upset. It was Memorial Day so maybe before season gets started? About half hour from the town of bend.

- Shelley (3/5): - When I entered the room, the bed wasn't made and coffee maker parts were in the sink. It was late at night when I checked in and I had to wait for the front desk staff to make the bed. It was personal and awkward.
- jpskahlon (4/5): Bad accommodations - Very disappointed by the accommodations. The two bed room condo is truly a one bed room condo, with a small office . There is not even a closet in the second bedroom. The bathroom and toilet is downstairs. So if you want to use restroom at night you have to walk two flights of stairs downstairs in the middle of night. WIfi doesn't work , solution is to go to the main looby.
- Oregonbabe (8/5): Gorgeous! - Beautiful Bend property!! We only stayed 2 nights, had a little difficulty with our room, but front desk took excellent care to resolve. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool and an opportunity to take a ride around the property in a little douce coup. They also have a 6pm golf course/lava cave tour that we didnt get to check out, but hope to next time. Our only concern is that the property only had one viable restaurant for sitting indoors and eating….Iris….which we didnt like…..the other 2 are only poolside bar type areas with very limited offerings. They had closed down the other restaurant (trading post???) for upgrades and sadly it wont be reopening for quite a while. So, if you want a sit down restaurant, you have limited choice and the drive to bend is 30 mins away….fortunately we had booked golf at other courses in Bend, so we just ate at other restaurants off the property. Also, both golf courses are amazing but the challenge of play and cost makes them very exclusive….it would be good if one of the courses could be something more family friendly so more could enjoy…..or at least have a fun mini golf course. But the service during our stay was outstanding and memorable. :)
- 576jenl (10/5): 3 Bedroom Residence for FairWell Festival - We booked a 3 bedroom residence for our family attending the FairWell Festival. It was perfect for 3 couples. Great kitchen, private patio, plenty of space for all. The grounds were gorgeous, the pools were great. Even though we were all adults we preferred the family pool as opposed to the adult only pool. Both restaurants were great as well. Perfect place for a long weekend. I would recommend getting a car, on site transportation is limited, Jake was so great and really tried to help us out though. Lyft & Uber ride share is unreliable in the area. I would definitely stay again if in the Bend area.
- KMooney16 (8/5): Recommend but go in the summer - Beautiful property in Bend Oregon with two fantastic golf courses! The property itself was amazing but I’d recommend going after Memorial Day since the service was a little lack luster and many of the shops and restaurants weren’t open. Room service also wasn’t available (even though one day they brought a charcuterie board to my room as a birthday present from a friend…) The restaurant next to the golf course had an amazing breakfast, highly recommend the frittata! Rooms were spacious and amenities were really nice as well. I was charged $150 for a late checkout even though the property was pretty much empty and I know for a fact two others in my group were not charged for late checkout so I was annoyed about that. Overall would recommend, hopefully the service is better in their high season
