We had to go out a fire door, through another fire door that led to the mall. The hall was the backside of the stores. Should not have to leave the hotel to get to the mall. That was one of the reasons I chose that hotel.

I found a press on fingernail and some weird sticker on the blanket. We would return, but would like there to be more attention to detail in the cleanliness department.

Very comfortable and everything was clean. It is attached to the mall which was really great. You can get into the mall without going outside.

• Annette (7/5): Good luck - Location was good Sofa bed had pretzels in it. Towels were rough. Luggage carts had flat tires. Staff not at desk...even during the day. We didn't ask for housekeeping during a 4 night stay because of our dog....getting towels was difficult. Waste cans were the size of a thimble and there were not bags. $800+ dollars and it didn't seem any better than a low budget motel. I would not stay here again. Overpriced.

• tamisuew67 (4/5): Hopefully it was just our room! - Hi Dee! Thank you for your email. We arrived at 10pm. The staff was friendly. No complaints there. However the room’s cleanliness was disappointing. When we walked into the room we were overwhelmed with odor. It smelled like hot dogs or fried bologna and it did not go away. It was super strong and became nauseating. We were too tired to request a new room and I wasn’t sure there even was another one, it was a busy night. The plumbing fixtures were spotty and streaked and looked like there were cleaned with dirty water. We just drank out of our water bottles. That kind of made us skeptical to use any glasses provided. We did not try the breakfast so I cannot review that.

• ROBINC707 (10/5): Help in time of need. - We had a power outage in the middle of an artic freeze and at 5 am needed a place to go (15 degrees inside the home is really cold).Robert the front desk clerk was so helpful over the phone and in person when we checked in. Everyone at Residence Inn was so helpful and worked with our payment needs and were really helpful when we had to keep changing check out dates due to no power. The breakfast bar was to die for. And the room was great for our needs. Spacious and convenient. It had everything we needed just like at home. Thank you again for helping us in our time of need. A lot of our neighbors also ended up here. It was a big block party making everything seem better at a bad time.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Love It Here - In a time where good customer service is rare, it was great to encounter kindness with both shift employees (especially the one at checkout). They were very nice. I’ve stayed here and in this type of room before, and love it each time. Everything is clean. I had a challenging time controlling the temperature but it may have been ‘user error’. The bedding and towels aren’t soft (matching the level of everything else) but I imagine people take them a lot. I will be staying here again and highly recommend!

• Verified traveler (6/5): Not as good as expected - The bed had a massive stain on the mattress, and the dishes and some silverware had food stuck on them. Had to pre wash everything i wanted to use, which was a hassle. The ac/heat sisnt properly work. It wasnt picking up with the sensor when in the room, and it would randomly get insanely cold or super hot. The television speakers cut ok continuously and the toilet looked like it had never been cleaned from previous guests. There was a lot of residue around the bowl which caused a gross smell in the bathroom.

I had to stay here for 4 months on a business trip and everything was super clean but most importantly for a single women like me very safe! • stlbob32 (2/5): Managed by a bully. Avoid. - I'm a Marriott Platinum Elite member. I travel a lot. I stay at a lot of Marriott hotels. Some are great, others run down. Some are well staffed, some not so well staffed. This one has a complete JERK of a manager! When I made the reservation week ago, I requested a late checkout. That’s a perk of being a Platinum Elite member. It matters to me. When I arrived, I confirmed the late checkout. No problem. At 11:46AM on the Sunday of my last day, the housekeeper knocked on the door. I told her I have a late checkout and went about my business. Moments later the manager called my room. He told me they're busy and have 49 checkouts today and that I had 5 minutes to leave my room or be charged with another day. I explained the steps I had taken and he tried to tell me that he "wasn't the person who checked [me] in". I told him that’s not my problem -- that this isn't the first time I've checked into a Marriott hotel -- it's actually the third this week -- and that I'm acutely aware of and follow the process. Dejected that his bullying tactic didn't work (like they have enough housekeepers to clean 40 rooms in 2 hours), he said I could have my 2PM late checkout. What a complete jerk! I'll never return. Ever. And neither will anyone at my company. I guarantee that! About the hotel: there are 3 carts in the whole place...for 40 checkout's on a Sunday afternoon. The signage for the elevators is wrong -- at the wrong end of the hallways if you can believe it -- yet nobody has corrected it. The elevators have buttons missing -- front desk lady said it's been like that for a while "but they're not important buttons, so it still works just fine." There's no drawer in the room for utensils -- they're on a shelf in a plastic container. Bedroom 2 is so small you can't layout luggage anywhere other than on the bed or in the kitchen...and there's no folding luggage in either bedroom, which makes no sense whatsoever. The good: it's close to a mall and ballpark. The rooms were clean, albeit dated, and the table and chairs which is positioned in the middle of the kitchen, can be moved against the wall where it was supposed to be in the first place so you can plug in your computer. Avoid this place like the plague. No place is worth being bullied. And there are Marriott and other hotels within walking distance to choose from. What a jerk!

It was my first time at this hotel and was beyond happy with my choice. The staff from introduction at the desk and housekeeping and breakfast staff were extremely friendly and professional. I slept soundly with no noise and comfortable bedding and started each day with the breakfast that was complimentary and offered choices for anyone, including those with different dietary needs. Thank you for an exceptional stay your hotel; I will return when I visit my hometown in the future.

She not only was kind but also made the experience smooth and can tell she cared about all the guest. I would recommend this location highly! The room was clean and all asked accommodations were made that were requested. I was welcomes with a hand written note thanking me for coming back as well as a cute thank you bag. I travel a ton with my work and truly the best customer service and clean hotel.

My husband had his. Same last name. They would not allow his to check into our room or me. So I asked for a refund. They refused. When I called to check the Statius of room it was canceled. So they kept my money. We was traveling so we were four hours from home.

• TravelGoddess77 (10/5): Stay here if you are able!!1 - Don't let the fact that this hotel is geared for more long-term stays keep you from spending just a couple of nights. If you like big, comfortable rooms, with a full kitchen, and even utensils, (and detergent for your dish washer, yes it has a dish washer) then if you get a chance to stay you should. The hotel is one of the cleanest, freshest, and most-welcoming I have stayed at in ages. The staff seem genuinely happy to see and host you. The lobby is a quick glimpse of the hospitality to come, with great places to lounge and gather, and should the weather agree an outside fire pit adds to the feel. Then to be offered a great, real, full choice of a hot breakfast as included, and your day, no matter what is planned will start out right. I was only there for two nights, and I love the fact that when I left, I had a 'wish I could stay longer' (or live there) feeling.
