jack (5/5): Not Family friendly unless you want your kids inhaling pot all day - The rooms were spacious and bed was good .The breakfast was good as well .Staff was friendly it was dog friendly and the rate was good The smell of Pot everywhere couldn't walk outside without walking into a cloud of pot smoke . There were people drinking in the parking lot leaving beer cans all over and trash .This hotel is not really family friendly. Unless you like your kids inhaling pot all day .We were there for a funeral with my family and I wouldn't stay again.
Jeffrey (10/5): Overall Sleep Inn and Suites Altoona is an excellent choice. - The friendliness of the staff was exceptional; good dining recommendations. We got a suite and it was huge, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was just OK. A breakfast meat would be nice. The shower in the room needs either a grab rail or two or non slip strips in the bottom of the tub. There's nothing. The shower's hot water was just warm, never hot.

John (10/5): A great property with amazing staff! - Another great stay at this property which is in a quiet area about two blocks off I-99 north of Altoona (ten minute trip to downtown). They have recently changed from Comfort Inn and Suites to Sleep Inn and Suites and have yet to change the signage outside and throughout the interior, but the great news is it's the same amazing staff and management! The property is well lit inside and out, my room was amazingly clean as usual, and breakfast was great. No complaints at all, looking forward to seeing the new branding once it's finished.

The coffee pot was dirty, microwave had spilled food on the tray, the refrigerator had soda on the glass trays, the toilet was used so much the paint is stripped off the flush handle. The breakfast selection was lack luster no hot food. Ex. Eggs bacon sasuage. Had 2 bagel types and English muffin 2 types of cereal and coffee and OJ to drink. No choclate milk juice etc.

Michael (6/5): - I was disappointed to see the Days Inn & Suites I booked was now Sleep Inn, which I hated a year or two ago in Tennessee. The staff at the desk was very friendly. One of two rooms was very musty. But the staff quickly swapped it for another, no questions asked. The room was clean, but lacked some amenities normally found in a hotel room, like complimentary lotion. And at least one of the electrical outlets was too loose to use. The free breakfast was an elevated continental breakfast, with hard boiled eggs and waffles added. Also, the walls are a little thin. The hotel could definitely use a refresh.

All in all though, enjoyed the stay and location!!

Verified traveler (8/5): Good to stay - The room was clean. The staff was very nice and friendly. However, the drains of the sink and bathtub had been clogged, so the water was not flowing smoothly.

Joan (8/5): - Great location for our reason for being there Very short on personal. Front desk was also doing the breakfast and the trash cans that were out front were not emptied. Breakfast was not very good. The cheese omelets were burnt around the edges and not enough scrambled eggs.

Elba (8/5): - It was convenient but the first day there was no coffee left at 9am. The area is very quiet, close to the highway. But there is only a gas station convenience store (well equiped) to buy something to eat nearby

daneswim76 (8/5): Quick stop on road trip - The hotel was very clean and well kept. I have no complaints about the hotel itself. We were only there for one night on a road trip. It was a perfect distance from the highway where it was convenient but also quiet. The breakfast was just okay not as many options for hotel breakfasts. No breakfast meat and the orange juice tasted like another juice was mixed in. But overall I would recommend for a nights stay.

Evelyn (10/5): I have stayed here 3 times this year and Iplan to stay here for all my visits - Comfortable and clean beds. Sheets had no stains and towels are white as snow. Staff is always kind and interactive. Affordable quality is always for me. That the prices on booking go up when there is a Penn State Game. My daughter plays volleyball for Juniata College and even though this place is a 40 min drive I really enjoy it but if a game falls in Penn State game day it is not affordable

John (8/5): Quick Stay - The bed was comfortable and I really liked the smaller pillows; very easy to adjust with a soft option. Breakfast was disappointing for a Sunday- the options were waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal and oatmeal. The have bananas which were great and a selections of granola bars. The orange juice was pretty bad.

Ishan (8/5): - The staff is amazing. They were very quick for check-in and check-out. The breakfast in the morning was great too. The cleaning of the room is not the best since I saw a few crumbs on the floor, but overall for Days Inn, it is definitely on the higher end. Would 100% recommend this hotel.
