Huone oli erittäin mukava ja siisti, jonka vuoksi sinne oli kiva palata päiväreissujen jälkeen. Otimme hotellin ravintolasta pizzaa, joka oli kallista ja tuotti suuren pettymyksen.

• Alan (2/5): Schrecklich - Die Lage ist gut, fussläufig gibt es alles was man benötigt: Strand, gute Restaurants und Strandbars, Rollerverleih, Laundry, 7Eleven, Massage Läden, Ticket Shops usw. Das Personal am Empfang ist sehr freundlich, fast schon überfreundlich, sodass es fast schon fake wirkt, ohne jemandem etwas vorwerfen zu wollen. Es ist wirklich traurig, in welchem Zustand sich die gesamte Anlage befindet, denn das Potenzial für ein echtes Luxusresort wäre definitiv vorhanden. Mit etwas Pflege und Investitionen könnte hier etwas sehr Schönes entstehen – stattdessen wirkt alles heruntergekommen und ungepflegt, sowohl die Gebäude als auch der Pool- und Strandbereich. Zu den Zimmern: Wir mussten innerhalb von fünf Nächten gleich drei verschiedene Zimmer beziehen, alle in einem unzumutbaren Zustand. Die Einrichtung ist extrem alt, beschädigt und teilweise dreckig – sogar Schimmel hinter Bildern war sichtbar. Besonders schlimm war die massive Ameisenplage, die sich durch alle Zimmer zog und sogar unser Gepäck befallen hat. Trotz Zimmerwechsel gab es kaum Verbesserungen, lediglich im dritten Zimmer waren die Ameisen größtenteils auf den Balkon beschränkt. Auch der Pool- und Strandbereich ist ungepflegt: kaputte und dreckige Liegen, herumliegender Müll und sogar lose Kabel im Poolwasser. Insgesamt entsteht der Eindruck, dass sich kaum jemand um die Instandhaltung kümmert. Fazit: Eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Wir können das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen – hier besteht dringender Handlungsbedarf.
• Martina (5/5): - Das Hotel liegt nahe am Strand und ist ruhig. Die gesamte Anlage ist in die Jahre gekommen und in einem renovierungsbedürftigen Zustand. Beim Checkout wurde uns für ein von uns beschädigtes einfaches Wasserglas 300 Baht (über 8,00 €) berechnet. Trotz Beschwerde wegen der unverschämten Höhe bei der Managerin, wurde das Geld von der von uns bezahlten Kaution abgezogen. Der Strand ist nicht besonders sauber, es liegen vor der Strandbar kleine, scharfkantige Betonstücke im Sand und aus der kleinen Stützmauer der Terrasse ragen Nägel heraus.

• 878natasham (10/5): A beautiful stay at the Sri lanta resort - Had the most amazing 4 nights at the Sri lanta, such a beautiful resort with the most amazing staff and setting. Lisa absolutely made our time there so special. She is a ray of sunshine every day. If we didn’t see her in the day we sought her out. Hardworking, kind, funny and friendly she is a massive asset to the hotel and to our holiday. Beautiful rooms, pool and wild monkeys on the resort were just some of the highlights. It was so tranquil, the food was lovely and the elephant bar was a great spot to sit and drink a cocktail. We would go back In a heartbeat. Thank you Lisa and team for the best time!

• Mona (7/5): Helt okej vistelse till ett hyfsat pris. - Helt okej. Prisvärt även om hotellet börjar vara ganska slitet. Ligger i ett bra område, nära till både strand och restauranger. Det är en ganska brant backe upp till hotellbyggnaden. Ganska myggigt på kvällen men hotellet har försett rummen med myggspiraler att använda.

Massives Schimmelproblem: In unserem Zimmer herrschte ein extrem starker Schimmelgeruch. Das Management zeigte uns noch mindestens drei alternative Zimmer, doch in jedem einzelnen dieser Räume war der gleiche penetrante Schimmelgeruch wahrnehmbar. Es handelt sich offensichtlich um ein systemisches Problem des Gebäudes oder der Klimaanlagen

• Sandra (4/5): - I want to start by saying that the staff is absolutely amazing. Everything I mention here is not a reflection of them—they are clearly doing the best they can with what they have. However, our experience overall was disappointing. The room had a strong smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke, and it felt like it was located in a basement. The bathroom was very dark, and while the room wasn’t terrible, it was definitely not what we were expecting. We also paid extra for our son’s breakfast, and there was a sofa bed provided for him. When we asked for a bedsheet, we were told we would be charged additionally—as if it were another guest—which didn’t make sense considering we were already paying for him. Another issue was the pool area. To reach it, we had to go through a tunnel, and the pool itself did not appear to be in good condition. Finally, the restaurant was very disappointing. The food quality was poor and did not meet expectations at all. Overall, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

• Marc (5/5): Insgesamt eher enttäuschend. - An sich schöne Anlage, gut gelegen für eher entspannten Urlaub. Zimmer haben eine gute Größe. Die Zimmer sind sehr verwohnt, das Hotel bräuchte insgesamt eine Renovierung. Unser Zimmer im Gebäude Star Path mussten wir wechseln, es roch stark nach Abfluss und war sehr modrig aufgrund der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit. Auch war das Bett so hart, dass ein guter Schlaf nicht möglich war. Das zweite Zimmer ein Stockwerk darüber war etwas besser. Das Frühstück war relativ lieblos, waren die meisten Tage auswärts essen. Am Strand waren einige liegen kaputt, insgesamt auch recht viel Müll am Strand. Wir waren vor zwei Jahren schon einmal dort. Aktuell würde ich nicht nochmal in dieses Hotel fahren. Schade, weil eigentlich eine schöne Anlage. Das Personal war allerdings stets sehr freundlich.

You need a lift up and back to the room,from reception. Room needs work. Run down. Positives are staff are lovely. Breakfast is very good. Location is excellent.
• Emma (5/5): Adequate hotel, not worth the price - Decent location near some nice restaurants and walkable to a 7-11 but moped is highly recommended. Staff were lovely and did everything they could to help us when asked even sent up a car to help us with luggage on check out, whatsapp feature to contact reception is amazing. Room was large and aircon in a nice, well sealed room. Private balcony was lovely. (in myth room) Food at the restaurant was nice but a bit pricey. Having a bath was great. Not relating to the hotel but we recommend nicha muay thai, Sriraya Batik class and following giants elephant sanctuary. For food we recommend Kin Kan, and Pad Thai Klong Nin . The taxis outside the hotel were great, one lady gave me her phone number and collected me from the old town for a good price. The shower was AWFUL and nothing like the photos (not a rainfall shower but one that points at almost 90 degrees), it was positioned in a way that you couldn't avoid soaking the bathroom floor. There is also a very sharp rectangular ledge around the shower that you could easily hit your head on if you slip so it's not a safe bathroom for children, elderly or anyone who struggles with balance. We booked specifically for the rainfall shower so we were sorely disappointed. We didn't really like the pool/beach area as it was too resorty for us and played loud music but would be better suited for a family, and the pool was an odd green colour. Drinks were way too overpriced at the resort. The pillows were awful and clumpy but we did get extra when we asked for it. Water went off in our room but was fixed quickly. The distance from the hotel to restaurants and 7-11 was inconvenient. Laundry service is advertised online and in person but not actually offered when we asked for it. The rooms are up a hill and about a minutes walk from the reception which was fine for us just inconvenient but could be a major problem for anyone with mobility issues or tired kids.

• Fiona Dragstra (4/5): No value for money - this hotel needs a deep cleanse!!! - The location right on the beach is great and in a nice and calm space of Koh Lanta. The staff was also nice and friendly. The little Alephant bar at the beach has friendly staff and good smoothies (although I'm not sure if it has the same owners as the hotel). The place has a lot of potential but is hanging on by a thread. We stayed in hostels across Thailand that were in better shape than this hotel, so for the price, this is ridiculous. The whole hotel (top to bottom, front to back) needs a fix, paint and deep cleanse. Exemplary for this was that when we left one of the lightning posts fell down.... Our mattresses were also 2 separate ones instead of 1 mattress which was not as advertised. Because of earlier reviews we did not have breakfast there, and glad we didn't because again price-quality wise you can have much better food and coffee anywhere on the island. You would expect hotels to do anything they can to keep guests close to the hotel and enjoy their surroundings, but we only used it exclusively for sleeping and didn't even use the swimming pool once in our 4 day stay. Would recommend to find a place in the same area for better quality!!
• loviseb2015 (6/5): Not worth it - A worn-down hotel complex. There were three pools, but one was closed, and the other two were very dirty. The sun loungers were broken. The only pool in use didn’t even have a ladder—you had to jump in and then struggle to climb out. Completely unbelievable. The breakfast was okay, but otherwise the food was disappointing. I ordered a pizza that wasn’t even fully warm after being reheated. The room was fine, though also worn. We stayed in the Myth building, which was very noisy. You could hear your neighbors clearly, and there was a lot of noise in the corridors at night when people came back. We ordered a pick-up to the reception in the morning since the building is located some distance away. We double-checked everything the day before, yet the car never showed up. We had to message them, and only then was a car sent. We had also been promised breakfast to take away since we had an early flight. I asked if everything was prepared or if we needed to pre-order, and was told it would all be ready. But they hadn’t even started making the pancakes. There are other hotels for less money that offer far better value than this one.

• Philipp (6/5): Schönes Hotel mir freundlicher Personal und mit starkem Sanierungsbedarf und Schimmelproblemen - Die Unterkunft liegt an einem schönen Strand und das Personal ist freundlich. Sie haben gute Service Leistungen und es schien als wären sie bemüht einen guten Aufenthalt zu gewährleisten. Am Tag der Anreise sind wir nach dem CheckIn in ein stark nach Schimmel riechendem Zimmer gekommen. Wir haben das direkt gemeldet, und haben darauf verwiesen, dass meine Freundin ein Problem mit ihrer Lunge hat und deswegen keines Falls in einem schimmelnden Zimmer schlafen kann. Darauf hin wurde uns ein anderes Zimmer bereitgestellt. Zu unserem Bedauern ist kurz bevor wir das Zimmer prüfen könnten eine Angestellte mit einem sehr penetrantem Raumduft durch das Zimmer gegangen, sodass man nicht erkennen konnte ob dieses Zimmer ebenfalls nach Schimmel riecht. Als wir am späten Abend es geschafft hatten diesen Lästigen Raumduft etwas loszuwerden, war es leider schon zu spät sich erneut zu beschweren und somit mussten wir eine Nacht in einem extrem Schimmligen Raum schlafen. Der Schimmel an Decken und Wänden war zwar überstrichen. Jedoch war der Geruch aus Matratze und Klimaanlage nicht rauszubekommen. Der Umgang mit der Gesundheit der Gäste war leider nicht zufriedenstellend. Am Morgen nach abermaligem Beschweren wurde uns dann ein ausreichend sauberes Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt. Zusammenfassend wirkte es so als wüsste das Personal nicht wie schädlich Schimmel sein kann und es schien für sie nur ein Geruch zu sein. Leider haben sind sie dem entsprechend auch mit dem Problem umgegangen, trotz mehrfachem Verweis auf den Gesundheitlichen Aspekt und der Erkrankung meiner Freundin.
• julieeM4590PG (10/5): Lovely relaxing vibe, great staff. - I ended up staying here for 9 nights as my flights home were cancelled because of the issues in middle east. The room was large and comfortable. It was cleaned every day and water replaced. Breakfast was great every day. The bar on the beach did good cocktails. I got clean towels whenever I asked for the beach. The staff were great .. always friendly, always helpful (even when I couldnt get a baby lizard out of my room). I only got the name of one member of the reception team - Lisa - who was a delight - but all the reception staff were great. Lisa, gave me a huge hug when I left! I would definitely recommend and would go back too if ever on Koh Lanta too.

No care in anything. - The staff on reception were friendly and gave a warm welcome The property is definitely not 4 star, the rooms and communal areas are very run down. The communal areas are filthy. Furniture is old and damaged. The walls in rooms and communal areas are filthy. There are only a few rooms on the beach, all other rooms are on the other side of the road, you access the beach via a tunnel so if you are paying to stay on the beach don’t bother. We paid extra for a sea view that you can barely see plus over looked rubbish and building materials. No table on balcony, airer is rusty could not be used, there is paint on everything (curtains, lights, furniture). Breakfast is poor. No atmosphere at hotel. There is a large gap in balcony which is not safe for children ( we were on 3rd floor).

The all day dining's washrooms need extra cleaning for all stained walls and WC. Additionally, upkeeping of the hand bidet (pressure issue) needed. The sun loungers are faulty at the pool/beach. The myth bathroom needs door to keep humidity and smell out. The wc area smells bad all the time from lack of thorough cleaning. Beds were sunken, only 1 pillow per pax. Prefer to have 1 high and low pillow per pax.

The Chairs in the pool was broken and rusty - some with spilled food the whole week. We had no hot water in our room for several days. Pool was with broken electric lights and chords sticking out in the water. No ladder and rough sides so the kids UV clothing was shred and damaged.

• SandieD322 (6/5): Wasted potential - Great location on quiet beach. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. We had a Moon Suite which was a lovely room with bath and separate shower cubicle. Good sized balcony with sea views. Efficient A/C and WiFi, comfortable bed. The room was very clean. Public areas are very much wasted potential. Breakfast area is across the road (there is an underpass). Run down building with many trip hazards. Very limited choice and not great quality. Insufficient no of sun loungers with a number of broken loungers lying about. The hotel sells day passes for non-residents to use the pools and beach loungers as well as those staying in the hotel’s hostel availing themselves of the beds, you need to be down for breakfast circa 7.30 to get one on the beach. The swimming pools were not clean. Plenty of local restaurants along the beach where you can enjoy sunsets at happy hour and eat great food reasonably priced, as well as a mini-mart just a 5 min walk.

• Birgit (8/5): Besser als gedacht. - Ich bin mit gemischten Gefühlen in das Hotel gefahren, aufgrund der sehr unterschiedlichen Bewertungen. Der erste Eindruck war schon ernüchternd. Die gesamte Anlage ist in einem Zustand, der dringend saniert werden müsste, schon aufgrund des Preises, der aufgerufen wird. Auf den zweiten Blick entdeckt man den Charme, den diese Anlage ausmacht. Und verliebt sich Tag für Tag mehr darin. Von den vormals sehr schönen Bungalows werden nur noch einige vermiete. Die anderen stehen dem Verfall anheim, oder werden von Einheimischen bewohnt. Unser Bungalow " the plantation" war gut gelegen, die Terrasse erhöht, so dass man einen guten Blick über die dschungelartige Umgebung hatte. Fast jeden Tag ließen sich Affen blicken und turnten auch auf den Dächern herum. Vögel zwitscherten. Eichhörnchen sprangen herum. Wer die Natur liebt, wird sich dort wohl fühlen. Da verzeiht man den ersten Eindruck. Der Bungalow ist geräumig, hat alles was man braucht, eine herrlich weiche Matratze, bzw. Auflage, sehr gute Bettwäsche. Die Reinigung erfolgte täglich und war auch gut. Über ein kleines Trinkgeld hat sich die Reinigungsfrau gefreut. Das Frühstück fand ich auch gut. Immer frisches Obst und fast immer kleine Süßigkeiten aus Reis und Kokos, in Bananenblättern verpackt. Der Kaffee ist nicht so toll, aber durchaus trinkbar. Es wurde immer alles aufgefüllt, die Tische abgeräumt und abgewischt. Die Angestellten waren im ganzen Hotel beschäftigt mit Blätter beseitigen, kehren, Müll weg bringen, Pool säubern usw. Man sieht deutliche Bemühungen, dass es den Urlaubern gefallen soll. Bar und Frucht shake Verkauf haben wir nicht getestet, auch nicht das Restaurant. Es gab immer ausreichend Liegen und Schirme. Als wir dort waren wurden gerade neue Liegen geliefert. Insgesamt hat es uns so gut gefallen, dass wir sogar nochmal buchen würden. Der Kaffee. Ein Automat würde sich anbieten.

La forêt et les singes dans la proximité immédiate des chambres est top. Le personnel est agréable et répond à nos besoins. l’hôtel manque cruellement d’entretien. Beaucoup de chose en mauvais état ou sale. Les chambres ont été rénovée mais rapidement et uniquement de surface c’est dommage.

• Charlotta (9/5): Overall I enjoyed staying at the Resort. - The Svit Earth was spacious and nice and clean. The cleaning was good. Everyone were very helpful. Could have wished for a door to the toilet that went all the way up and wasn't transparent to get more privacy. The bed has a bit too hard for us. We did not have breakfast at the hotel restaurant as it was expensive and the food we had there one evening was rather mediocre. We did not really have any view. Could only see other hotel buildings. It would have been nice if the resort arranged Yoga on the Grass area or the beach.
