Also, there was no kettle in the room which means getting your hot water from the dispenser. That is all good but the cups didn’t have handles and it is not easy to carry cups without handles full of hot water . Just provide better cups. Bed and bedding were great.
• Angela (8/5): - The location of the property is wonderful and it is within walking distance of major Quebec City attractions. We had 2 rooms reserved. The first floor thematic room was very nice. The second floor standard room was very tiny. It appeared to be a converted mildew scented attic room. The steps to reach it were very steep, curvy, and narrow. It was very dangerous for my elderly parents we booked it for.

• Perry (10/5): - It was a great hotel to stay at with a parking spot (additional charge) located in Old Quebec. Parking was at the back of the hotel. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and courteous. The hotel was very clean. Our one bedroom room was just the right size for the 2 of us with a bonus step out terrace as we stayed on the 2nd floor. Note, no elevators at the hotel so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs to our room. Breakfast (freshly baked croissiont, yogurt, coffee, juice) was included and we chose to have it delivery to our room. You could reserve the sauna for a charge but we had no time. Great hotel and too bad we only stayed one night.
• Lee (10/5): - Lovely quaint hotel, centrally located up in Old Québec City. Room was nicely decorated and had the bonus of a terrace - ideal to relax on after a days sightseeing! Tasty continental breakfast included as part of our VIP rating. Would definitely recommend.

• Morgan (4/5): - While this hotel is conveniently located and in a quiet part of town — for the price they make sure to provide the least amount of amenity or service possible. We even had an issue with housekeeping not knocking and barging in on us well before 10am. As we are staying in Canada for three weeks we had a lot of luggage, there was no offer during check in or out regarding help with our bags… and because we checked in late they basically left a key in a safe and left you to fend for yourself. Young lady ran the wrong card as well during check out even though I specifically asked to change it before we left. She ran it unauthorized. If you are looking for a relaxing experience or even one of ease or luxury, I would not stay here. Also not handicap accessible in the slightest.

• Richard (10/5): Classic hotel in the literal heart of Quebec City - Beautiful hotel that has all the conveniences of a modern hotel (except an elevator). Excellent staff, super clean rooms, top notch high speed internet, all at the top of the hill in Old Quebec City. We brought our car and parked at the hotel, but for our entire stay we walked everywhere! The car didn't move until our trip was over. See the entire city as soon as you walk out the front door of the hotel.....restaurants, museums, gift shops, tours, Hotel Frontenac, all within close walking distance from the hotel.

• Donna Lynn (6/5): - 10/10 for both location and quiet. Room 19. now that’s a different story . No fridge , no coffee maker in the room, the closet was a foot and a half long closet, 3 small drawers, no place for luggage without tripping . The room is very , small with one chair and one small puff stool. The biggest issue was, the damp , the dehumidifier on the A/C did not work , so the A/C just blew wet cool air. Out side patio access, was only through an oversized window (you had to bend crawl through , it’s where we dried our clothes. The smell of either mildew or just dampness was over powering. Now to be fair, we were offered an upgrade weeks before our arrival , we didn’t take it because we didn’t know what room we were updating from and room we were updating to. Just so you know nobody is on staff after 9 P.m so you are on your own with every other guest in the building is that even legal? Had a great time in the city but this room was a huge let down ! Too bad the potential was missed, if you are a senior like us, this might not be the place for you . Plenty of others to choose from. For 1500+ for 5 nights you can do better. In all our worldly travels this is one of the most disappointing . Too bad Room 19, the potential is huge and so was the oversight.

• Leslie Ann (8/5): - I liked where the property was located in relation to everything else. It was very accessible to all the sightseeing, dining, shopping, and attractions I was interested in. I was less impressed by the room decor, the amenities in the room such as a lack of a mini fridge for snacks or lotion and the size of the bathroom and lack of hair dryer or closet. It also would have been nice if the hotel provided umbrellas on the day it rained. I also wasn’t notified that my room was going to be made available for early check in and I did not check in early and was still asked to pay for early check in since I requested it. I think that should be rectified. I was running late to the airport and didn’t have the time to argue so I paid the fee but I feel it was unjustified since no notification was sent that the room was ready.

• Alenai (6/5): - An old house turned into a boutique hotel. Staff attentive and polite, right across the Fairmont and just a few blocks from the Quebec epicenter. Can’t give all the stars I would like when rooms are not well cleaned (you can step into debris when you walk barefoot inside your room). You need to place a “service” sign in your room door if you want it serviced, if you forget, they won’t do it. Staff will leave after 8 pm and you are on your own. Parking is around the block and not connected to the property which is not convenient and there is no elevator, meaning that if you are not on the first floor, you will have to carry all your luggage 2 or 3 floors up, so plan accordingly. For $375 tax & fees we were expecting more.
• Deborah (8/5): - This property is located in Old Town Quebec. It’s within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. The room and bathroom are somewhat small but well appointed. There’s no coffee or fridge in the room but coffee and a continental breakfast (separate charge) was available. The hotel did provide a small fridge to our friends who needed to store medication. The staff were wonderful and helpful. We would stay there again.
• James (10/5): - Fantastic service from the good people at the Nomad Hotel. They even encouraged me as I attempted my high school French. The hotel has old-world charm and is tastefully updated. Our room was incredibly clean, and surprisingly quiet despite being on the ground floor. The location was great for being able to access all that Old Quebec has to offer. Thanks for such a great stay.

• Brigitte (10/5): - Amazing location! Right in Old Quebec City. Hotel Nomad is located close to Chateau Frontenac. There is a beautiful parc right beside it and it is also close to the Citadel and the boardwalk by the St. Lawrence River. Staff is friendly. Rooms are cute. Small parking lot (spot to be reserved for a fee/day). Small breakfast (also reserved for a fee). No elevators. No one is at the desk after 8 pm. They give you a key to open the front door for after hours. I enjoyed my stay there and will come back again if I get the opportunity.

• Yasaswi (10/5): - Wife and I had the most incredible stay at the Nomad. The room was so cozy, clean, and exactly as described. We also got lucky with a great room theme - it’s exactly what my wife wanted. The decor was incredible all around the hotel and in the room too. The washroom was fantastic and so luxurious. The products they provide are also fantastic - all natural and smell amazing. The staff is great and very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our bags there early cause our flight got in early before check in. We were also able to leave our bags late on our check out day because our flight left late. The sound proofing in the rooms isn’t great but honestly not that bad at night. The TV system they used (a system wired to their TV to make it smart) wasn’t great either but the TV itself was nice. To be honest, we were exploring quebec city so much we barely used it so not a big deal. The hotel has great access to all of old Quebec city. It’s also in a relatively quiet area so it’s nice at night. We will absolutely be coming back again! Couldn’t have asked for a more romantic getaway in Quebec City.

• Alexander (10/5): Uniquely eclectic in the heart of Vieux Quebec - Hotel Nomad is perfectly situated in Vieux Quebec. Steps from Chateau Frontenac and the Upper City. Ours was a family trip, so we all stayed in the Thematic rooms on the first floor. Room 18, which was ours, was a tad tight (seemingly the smallest of the three Thematic rooms), but otherwise quite cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nicely tiled, with a great shower. The larger front parlor gave us a gathering place in the evening for games, or just sitting and relaxing as a whole family. Having private parking on-prem was a big plus, but if you drive a large vehicle, expect to have an adventure fitting into some of the spaces. Definitely recommend!!

• Jared (10/5): - Property is very cool! Literally a historical wonder. The rooms are super modern for the look of getting there. Heat pumps in each room, bed was good too! Parking is a bit tricky. Do a U turn when you hit the property and 3 lefts, where you have to back into your spot. Quebec had just gotten a bunch of snow, so it was challenging with the accumulation. Not the hotels fault per se but the parking lot had not been cleared. Overall great stay and beautiful place

Our room had a very small window it made the room feel even smaller and there was not enough room for 2 people to put away there clothes. Overall we loved the hotel.

• Nancy (10/5): Magical hotel - We loved this little hotel. The staff members we met were very nice, friendly and professional. Our room on the 2nd floor was lovely. We even had a cool outdoor space to sit. We had a cool chandelier over the bed and i felt like a princess. The location it just across the park beside Chateau Frontenac which is a great location to be. They have a parking lot for $28 a day. I think the only con would be the bathroom. Its small which didnt bother us but might be tight for others. And the vanity is in the room not in the bathroom. I think all the other qualities make up for it. Especially the outdoor space. First hotel that we have stayed at that had one.

• Larry (4/5): - The hotel itself was very clean and nicely decorated. We had champagne and roses waiting to celebrate our anniversary that was by purchase. Unfortunately, we did not sleep 3 of our 4 nights as we experienced noisy neighbors, which included loud snoring, loud television, loud, talking and loud sexual activity. We did report this to the manager, but nothing changed. The response was they were fully booked. There was no elevator available so stairs are your only option. The parking is very congested with tight spaces available. Our car was scratched in the parking lot and also half a tank of gas was siphoned overnight! There was not a dedicated space to leave your car so you could register. You had to park in their lot and hand carry your luggage without a trolley available. Parking was $75 per day. adding on breakfast was also additional up charge and was only croissant and muffins. We did not get much assistance with discovering local events, sightseeing, or restaurants. There were fireworks scheduled that were canceled of which we were not notified. We cancelled the dinner reservation and sat in light rain finding out after 45 minutes and then had difficulty finding a restaurant that was still open. Compared to many other hotels, we looked at while in town, and what is offered, we will not be returning here or recommend the hotel to anyone.

• Christian Joseph (8/5): - Small and unique property. We stayed in the last room available and it was right next to the concierge. A bit noisy at times due to the room being on the first floor and beside the main door but overall the ambience was nice and unique. Only concern was the AC in the room did not function properly and my wife found it a bit warm at night. Parking was extra but worth it since it is behind the hotel in a private space. Walking distance to all the attractions and nestled in a quiet street right next to the US Consulate and the Fairmont Hotel.
• Marina (10/5): - The decor is fun. The staff was super friendly and I loved the secret private terrace through the window! Such a fun surprise! The location is amazing! Definitely would stay here again.
• Phil (8/5): - The property feels like you’re staying in a brownstone. It feels like a private house. Very quiet. Groovy music playing. Small public area which looks like it’s for eating but we never used. Could be more welcoming in there. If you want to be in the thick of things do not stay here. This is a quiet place off the beaten path. Very very walkable to everything though! There was a lovely woman at the front desk, most of the time, but the night guy was rude. I tried to serve myself some coffee creamer from the freezer, and he was not happy about it. And the rooms are very funky and all have a theme. it’s a very clever use of space. We have the Chanel room and it has everything about her down to a giant bottle of the perfume displayed under glass and lit up at night when you flip the light on. The room was a bit chilly but that’s what you get when you’re in a home like setting. Lots of stairs to walk up. Again it’s lovely but just know what you’re getting into. We went and visited a giant hotel in town and we’re a bit disappointed in our choice because we wanted to be more in a hotel setting with people watching in lobby hanging out.

• Laura (10/5): - The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. I stayed in one of the themed rooms in the ground floor and loved the modern design. I particularly liked the cleanliness of the room and of the rest of the hotel. The restroom is quite small but every inch of space has been carefully utilized. The location is also great since it is one block away from the deck of the chateau frontenac. I recommend staying at this hotel if you are visiting Old Quebec. The town and the hotel are beautiful.

• Christine Anne (10/5): - My husband and I had a 4 night stay at the Nomad. It is a lovely, comfortable, quiet hotel and it was an excellent experience. The room was cozy and clean. The location could not have been better for sight- seeing in and enjoying Old Quebec City - close enough to walk but on a quiet street by a pretty park and one block from the St Lawrence River and it’s beautiful view. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel due to other plans but the breakfast room looks very nice and I’m sure it would have been good. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and we had everything we needed in the room. Staff arranged a late check in for us and it worked perfectly. I definitely recommend The Nomad!

• Annalyn (2/5): It’s all your fault! - “It’s your fault!” “It’s your fault!” “It’s your fault!” That’s all the front desk person kept saying. We reserved a room for 4 and wanted to add a child and offered to pay extra. She would not work with us and told us to get another room in another hotel. Since we already paid on expedia we couldn’t cancel. So we had to get another room at another hotel and pay an extra $300. It’s all your fault its all your fault is all i can remember from this experience. The other hotel said it would cost $25 extra to add another person.

• carla (10/5): Best stay !! - Loved everything about the hotel , in a great location, short walking distance from Resturant’s , shops and sites. On a corner of a quiet street . Rooms was gorgeous clean helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely come back , hopefully soon.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - A reasonably priced and cute place to stay right in vieux-Quebec! It is located in upper town and the citadel is directly behind the property. Within walking distance of most tourist attractions in the area and close to many restaurants. Great location! I also though the breakfast was worth it because other options nearby aside from fast food were more expensive.
