- Gary (10/5): A perfect short stay destination for any time - The location was beautiful with views across the Menai straits from gardens.
Ruth the hostess was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. She was a mine of useful information.
The breakfast was fabulous as were the little muffins!
We loved it there. We wouldn’t change a thing.
- Nigel (10/5): - Stunning location with beautiful views. The host, Ruth, could not have made us more welcome. Every need of the visitor is catered for, from an outstanding breakfast (with almost every item home made) to the comfortable bedroom and sitting room. Very highly recommended.
- Jo (10/5): - Wonderful welcome with tea and cakes! The room was very comfortable as was the bed. Lovely touches such as face cloths, a fridge with milk and water and super welsh cakes to try! Plenty of extras such as the offer of evening meals and packed lunches available. The breakfast was amazing and a great variety! Absolutely nothing
- Rob (10/5): Made my birthday - Fantastic setting super clean room, Ruth and Peter couldn't do more for us, wonderful hosts. Nothing
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sian (10/5): Be pampered and looked after! - From the moment we arrived and were greeted at the front door by Ruth, we felt so cared for. Comfortable bed and pillows. Real milk in the fridge in our room. A private sitting area plus access to two lounge areas shared with other guests. Nothing was too much trouble. And the locstion is incredible. Breakfast freshly cooked at your preferred time and also whatever you want. Extensive continental choices in addition. The decor is dated, but that is part of the charm of Rhiwiau.
- Marta (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect, and Ruth is such a lovely host. She made our stay memorable. The room, fireplace, location, breakfast, dinners...we would not change a single thing. It exceeded our expectations. We definitely plan to come back! We Highly recommend it to everyone who values peace, quiet and comfort.
- Sian (10/5): Perfect can’t wait to come back - Stunning views
From the moment we were welcomed we were made to feel at home. Ruth was an amazing host nothing was to much.
Rooms were warm and cosy beds were so comfortable. Cleanliness was to a high standard.
Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty on offer.
So many lush little touches to the room 100% will be back Nothing the stay was perfect
- Wendy (10/5): A hidden gem in the hills above Llanfairfechan. - The location was stunning - overlooking the Menai Strait and Anglesey, surrounded by rolling hills, woodlands, farmland, local sheep: just about everything that represents a wonderful Welsh scene. Our bedroom had an incredible almost Alpine garden outside the huge picture window, with views over rolling hills and a path leading through the garden which we would have explored on our last morning if the weather had permitted. The room was comfortably furnished, the bed was blissful and there was every facility available from extra bedding, heating, a huge selection of beverages and homemade cookies, upmarket toiletries. Above all, we had the most enthusiastic welcome from our host who helped with our luggage and then provided tea and cakes (they were so good!) in the lounge with a lovely log-burning stove.
In the morning, we had a choice of 'starters' for breakfast, ranging from fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts and all manner of other items and then a sumptuous cooked breakfast which had been discussed the night before (to establish likes. dislikes and times). There was absolutely nothing that could have been better - I think the host and hostess had thought of everything. The only thing we did not like was having to leave when we did as a storm was upon us!!
- Robert (10/5): Perfection and tranquility personified - Everything. An amazing place to stay with the best host ever, cannot fault Nothing!!
- Julie (10/5): Peaceful hideaway - Quiet secluded spot overlooking the mountains and exceptional view of the sea
Ruth is an excellent host and makes you feel at home . Breakfast has plenty of variety to choose from and an option to have a tasty homemade evening meal if needed. Nothing to report

Fantastic host - Ruth really went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed and to make my stay as pleasant as possible.
Great breakfast - for a small guest house the breakfast was amazing, so many options from the buffet plus a cooked breakfast of my choosing each morning.
A beautiful peaceful getaway!
- Karen (10/5): AWESOME - The scenery at the cottage is awesome with a beach and mountain view. Food was homecooked, eggs from the hens, cooked just beautifully. The bed was so comfy we asked about the mattress so we can buy one. Shower worked well and Ruth couldnt do enough for us.The tap water is from their spring, how amazing was that.. The beach is a short car journey with cafe and toilets. The location is quiet but not too far away from all the wonderful places to visit. The cottage was well equipped with books, games, dvds and even binoculars. A real treat of a find. Can't wait to book again.
