Black out blinds are recommended as most windows have no blinds & curtains are too light to keep the morning light out. The noise issue at night was a concern for my son & I as the bedrooms face to the front of the street. We slept on the sofa bed in the kitchenette. Ear plugs did help a little.

Ahora tengo que estar con reclamaciones e historias.
• Alvaro (5/5): - La ubicación El piso estaba bastante deteriorado, si no eres muy exquisito te puede valer por la ubicación ya que por la zona es de los precios más bajos pero el suelo cruje y está bastante deteriorado, la ducha del baño del pasillo sale sin presión el grifo está roto y sale la mitad del agua por el la alcachofa y la otra mitad por el grifo, las camas son bastante finas y luego le pedimos que si se podían quedar con las maletas hasta las 16:00 y nos pedían 30 £ y solo hasta las 13:00 cuando el check out es a las 11, 2 horas 30£ y ni siquiera nos cubría nuestra necesidad hasta las 16:00.

• Mark (3/5): - Location was probably the best thing about this property. Pictures are very deceiving, nothing is as it appears. Beds were not cmfortable at all. We stayed on the 3rd level, heating wasn't working in the bedrooms. Floor in the kitchen is not good.
• Shrichandra (6/5): Nice location not super clean property but ok short stay - Location was near to River, and accommodative for a extra Guest of course they charge extra. Property is located right next to a bar that stays open until 1:30 am, on a busy road that never quiets down. Due to the old windows, the traffic noise was constant. Unfortunately, for two days the bathroom and kitchen were unusable because of blockages. One of the main reasons I booked this place was so we could cook for my elderly parents, but the kitchen was poorly equipped. There were practically no usable utensils—just one greasy pan and a scratched non-stick saucepan (which I requested the owner to replace). There was no spatula or basic cooking tools, so I had to buy my own. There were also no microwave-safe bowls for reheating food. The owner never responded through the Booking.com messaging system and instead switched communication to WhatsApp. I reached out twice asking for compensation for the two days of inconvenience, but received no response or acknowledgement. On top of this, the front room blinds were stained, and overall, the property was ok. Bedrooms were better but outside noise. I would suggest to add some kitchen utensils. And Bath cleaning.

• Brian (3/5): Fin placering, eneste gode at sige om den lejlighed - Lejligheden havde en fin størrelse. Lejligheden var ekstremt slidt, køkkenet var mangelfuldt. Der var ikke varmt vand til 4 kunne gå i bad med varmt vand. Sengene var små og meget dårlige at ligge i. Udover dette var der også skadedyr i lejligheden, hvor de ikke kunne afhjælpe problemet.
• David (5/5): Ubicación genial, servicios y estado mejorables - La ubicación esta genial, es lo mejor que tiene el partamento, muy centrica y con varias estaciones de metro cercanas. Incluso caminando se llega perfectamente al centro y otros lugares de interés en Londres. Hay varios apartamentos en el mismo edificio, el que nos tocó tenía un buen espacio, 2 habitaciones, 2 labavos y salon comedor, pero... El edificio no es que sea muy agradable aunque al menos tiene ascensor. El piso solo tenia una olla y una paella, se lo comentamos al representante que nos dió la llave y nos dijo: es lo que hay. La tele es muy justita, no se podia configurar ninguna plataforma de streaming, tampoco es muy necesario, durante el día estabamos fuera evidentemente, pero hoy en dia es un plus que por las noches va bien. La puerta de entrada al piso tenia muy poca seguridad solo una llave que activaba un seguro facil de abrir, aunque no tuvimos problemas. A los electrodomesticos y baños les hace falta una buena actualización.

• Ambre (7/5): super - L’emplacement est vraiment idéal, proche de tout et très pratique pour visiter Londres. Le personnel qui s’occupe des arrivées et des départs est au top — très accueillant, réactif et surtout flexible sur les horaires, ce qui est vraiment appréciable. L’appartement est spacieux, propre et très confortable, on s’y sent vite comme chez soi. Je recommande sans hésiter ! Le seul petit point négatif, c’est que l’appartement est assez bruyant, surtout le soir. Mais en même temps, il est tellement bien situé qu’on comprend pourquoi ! L’emplacement est vraiment top, donc on ne peut pas tout avoir.

• Sunny (3/5): Stay was disappointing and below expectations. - Location: Short walks to most touristy central London spots. Waterloo station is close by. The convenience store and cafes are located right next to the building. Misleading Listing (Photos)—Poor Experience I feel this property is not a serviced apartment as claimed. The listing photos are misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the place. Entrance & Surroundings: There is no lighting at night, and the building entrance looks run-down. A large, old dumpster sits directly in front of the entrance, spreading a strong smell of trash throughout the area. Cleanliness & Comfort: The beds were uncomfortable, and the linens appeared unclean, with hair and food remnants from previous guests. The floors were dirty—we had to clean them ourselves so our kids could move around safely. The sofa was filthy, smelled bad, and had food particles in the crevices. My son may have gotten a bed bug bite on his wrist. Privacy & Safety: Bedroom doors had no latches or doorknobs, making it impossible to lock them for privacy. The bathroom was poorly maintained. The exhaust fan didn’t work and was covered in dust. The bathtub was dangerously high (about 24 inches) with no step stool or grab bars, making it unsafe for children or shorter adults. One adult in our group is 6'2" and could barely stand in the tub without hitting his head. The shower curtain rod was loosely attached, posing a serious risk of falling—especially when wet. There were no anti-slip mats for the bathtub. Air Circulation: There is no air conditioning, and the space gets stuffy unless windows are kept open. Overall, the property was very poorly maintained and not as described. I would not recommend this place, especially for families or anyone expecting basic comfort and safety

• Laura (4/5): Nice location, dirty and broken down apartment - Location was pretty nice, with a couple of pubs in the surrounding area, and pretty close to central train/metro stations and buses. Surrounding area is nice and comfortable. The apartment was dirty, there was (a lot of) dust on windows, the only rooms that looked like they'd been cleaned before we checked in were the bedrooms. Not only was the apartment dirty, it was broken down. Particularly in the bathroom and kitchen, there were many places in the walls/appliances that had a shabby sheet of plastic nailed on top, not careful enough to fully cover the grimy hole in the furniture/wall plaster underneath. Bathroom and kitchen was dirty upon arrival. They left us with two rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels for our one week stay. Not to mention the hassle to check in as if we are the ones committing fraud. This is a catfish property.

The heating was instant and very warm. Washing machine with built in dryer. So close to everything. Pret mange mire or less next door. Super drug and waitrose 2 mins walk up the road. London eye 9-11 mins walk. With shrek and sea life center a little further up from the eye. 40 min walk from Buckingham Palace although took us 3 hours, as we stopped off and looked at other different sites and things. You have your own floor so the lift goes right to your door. Tea, milk (little miniature pots)and sugar sachets on arrival. Able to contact the host and answers straight away during the day. At night you can message or email and he gets straight back to you in the morning. Being met by a guy who helped with all our luggage taking up and when we left. WiFi available . Absolutely loved this apartment and where it is located. In need of maintenance as floors dip maybe from water rot, although look nice. And bathroom wall and tile finishings need care. No walkin shower Having to be shown where to turn gas and water on and off behind a wooden panel. I didn't feel overly safe with that. Instructions were anti clockwise instead of clockwise.

• Bev (1/5): RUBBISH - We'd like a refund please - Nothing - there were so many problems with the apartments, the lads didn't stop after all! On top of the long list of problems, they didn't feel safe staying as the doors looked like they had previously been kicked in. Luckily, they managed to check into a local Travelodge at a massive extra cost. 1)mould/damp above blind. 2/3/4) Door looks to have previously being kicked in/kicked down. 5)mould above cupboard/board hanging down. 6)no shower curtain up/funny smell in bathroom. 7)exposed cable. 8)no shower curtain up/looked to be mould in corner again. 9)wardrobe a load of cobwebs+really dusty(not clear on photos). 10)other apartment door had the same issue. 11)Rubbish still inside the bin-one looked like a nappy and toilet paper. 12)window damaged with cold air just blowing in smelt very damp. 13)sign on back of door regarding our valuables. Seen as though the door had already been kicked in it didn't seem very safe/secure. 14)Cupboards hanging off. Opened washer door and the door came off in my hand. 15)toilet tiles and basin hanging off next to the toilet. 16)Dark coloured photo is the outside main door which doesn’t look very secure and safe. They didn’t feel safe in the apartments especially since the doors looked like they’d previously been kicked in. I have many photos supporting the above but won't attach them since you're expecting holiday snaps, not horror stories.
• Tunmise (1/5): Mould and water damage a health risk to babies - owner refused to refund - The only good things about this accommodation were the location and the size of the apartment. Overall we had a terrible experience due to mould and excessive water damage in the apartment, which made us leave after the first night. What made it even worse is that the owner promised to "sort out the refund" when I told him I expected a full refund, but 5 days later declined the refund request. Apart from this, the level of workmanship in the apartment was very poor (crooked cabinets, uneven tiles, doors not closing) and the kitchen was not fully functional. I contacted the owner/host on the first evening that there was mould and water damage in the apartment, which is a huge health risk for babies and small kids. I let him know that my son had suffered mould-related asthma attacks and coughing for 6 months from a stay at another place 2 years ago. He initially seemed to be very helpful and said he would provide an alternative accommodation. However, when we visited it the next morning, it had a strong smell of bleach and the cleaner admitted he had just cleaned the mould. The cleaner also explained that they had had many issues with water damage in the past through bathroom/kitchen leaking to the apartments below. After calling with the owner to explain why we still wanted to leave, he assured me we would "sort it out" which is the only reason I left. This is definitely not the way to do business, and quite inhumane to endanger the health of babies. I am definitely going to fight this with all means at my disposal, but I write this review to save you the trouble. Inadequate gas safety with gas leak while we were there leaving us without heating and hot water for 24hrs. We have still not received compensation for this despite the host guaranteeing this at the time.

• Dirk L. (2/5): Don't stay here - We've stayed in a bunch of VRBO's and never felt the need to write a review. On this one, I feel a responsibility to warn people. 56 Stamford St. is a good location, that much is true. But that is probably the only thing I can say that is positive. The person who meets you at the flat does not smile or shake hands. They just hand you the keys and walk away. One night the bed caved in on my wife's side. When we took the mattress off to see if we could fix it ourselves the frame is held together with duct tape. To fix it, they screwed scrap wood into the frame to hold the mattress up. It's just a matter of time before it collapses again. We discovered almost immediately that there were two screws right at the entrance of the bathroom that weren't screwed down all the way. They were raised enough that you could catch the skin on the bottom of your foot, as my six-year-old did. Once we cleaned up the blood, we let management know about the problem.. You would think that would make for an immediate response. I got a shrug. It wasn't until the bed broke a few days later that someone actually came by. Once we had them there for the bed, we asked that the screws be removed. This was one day before we left. The cleanliness is not good. We had to clean, as best we could, when we arrived. This is not easy as there is no vacuum. The WiFi router is not in the flat. It's somewhere in the building and very intermittent. Do not try to stream Netflix, you will be waiting a lot. The flat itself is not very comfortable. There are no lamps anywhere so you have a choice between the very bright halogen ceiling lights and darkness. There's no lamp by which you would read a book. There are no extra touches like bathmats or slip-guards inside the tub/shower. The tub is incredibly slippery and most members of my family had at least one incident of slipping. You would think that for liability alone, they would have slip-guards. The service from London Apartments is quite bad. When we got to the flat, the television remote fell apart as we picked it up. We asked for a universal remote to replace it. Two days later it was dropped off with only two out of the four batteries required. They never offered to set it up for us. The kitchen is sort of falling apart. The baseboard kick falls over when you tap it with your foot. There is one pan with most of the Teflon coming off of it. Overall, an unpleasant experience. Avoid 56 Stamford Street.
• Verified traveler (4/5): BE WARNED: Location is great, Property is TERRIBLE - We've stayed at this property three times over the course of the past few years. The location is amazing, just a few blocks from the Tate Modern, the Thames, Millennial Bridge... St Paul's and several underground stations are only a short walk. The central location is why we've come back. But BE WARNED. The property manager doesn't seem to care for either the property or his clients. The property is rundown - everything is dingy and could use a fresh coat of paint. The furnishings are cheap and nothing in the property is well maintained - dirty pillows, broken tiles, scuff marks everywhere. With a little TLC, this could be an amazing property (and the rents would go up as well!). The property manager also doesn't care about keeping loyal customers. We arrived late at night and BE WARNED - there is a exorbitant fee for arriving after hours, even though the person there to greet us and give us our key provided ZERO instruction or assistance. The guy handed us the key and left. Since we had stayed at this property several times before, we knew this and asked if any concession could be made. NOPE. With no refund or recourse available, we paid the king's ransom (100 pounds!) and vowed never to stay there again. Whatever - last time we'll stay at this fleabag apartment.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Review - I really enjoyed my stay at the London Service apartment. There was plenty of room for the 6 guests and I who stayed there. We enjoyed the great location and nice service. The man who helped us during our stay was easy to reach and was very flexible with check in and check out, which we greatly appreciated!

• Verified traveler (4/5): - Couldn’t get a hold of anyone once we got to the property to actually let us in. Enquires about a second key, was promised one by lunch time the following day, had to make several follow up calls and still ended up with no key. The property was dirty - pillows, towels, linen etc were filthy. Overall a very disappointing stay.

(2/5): Bait n switch to a similar but rundown apartment - The owner/manager was accommodating to our early arrival, but put us in an apartment that was the same in layout and similar in decor, but different from the one in the photos. One shower did not work and the smell was awful. We discovered it was due to mold in the kitchen cabinets. The furniture was different from what is shown in the photos and there was not room for all four of us to sit in the living space. The beds were very uncomfortable, and there was no balcony nor view of the London Eye. The location was great, though!
• Andreas (2/5): - Bewertung Serviced Apartments Stamford St London!!! Schon die geplante Übergabe um 15 Uhr war eine Unverschämtheit. Im Vorfeld wurde durch zweimaligen E-Mail Verkehr 15 Uhr vereinbart. Auf der Buchungsbestätigung ,sowie der E-Mail Korrespondenz, die Telephon Nr hinterlegt. Wir standen 70 min vor der Unterkunft und warteten!!! Die vom Apartment Betreiber hinterlegte Nr war nicht zu erreichen!!! Wie durch ein wunder tauchte dann ein Mitarbeiter auf und teilte uns mit, das dieses Telephone mit seinem Besitzer Urlaub in Ägypten macht. OK, dumm gelaufen!?1 Wir bekamen Einlass!!! Das Apartment, sah bestimmt einmal so aus wie auf den Bildern im Netz!!!! Dieses muss aber lange lange und viele viele Besucher her sein. Es stank übel, es war abgerockt, heruntergekommen, oll und durch. Kaputte Möbel, dreckige Kissen und Decken, mit Blut und Pippi Flecken!!!! Undichte Fenster, alles irgendwie süffig. Der Fußboden löste sich an einigen stellen und das Laminat bog sich nach oben, Stolperfallen mit Verletzungsgefahr!!! Auf Socken oder gar Barfuß laufen ausgeschlossen!!!! Kurz um, schlecht, mies, de Totale Reinfall. Der Freundliche Mitarbeiter jedoch der Überzeugung her eine Perle anzubieten.

• Verified traveler (2/5): - They charge 95 UK pound for late arrival, which was not implicit in the Expedia ad. The property asked to pay the late arrival in advance. Expedia was not helpful with this, even if I ask to transfer to the manager they never transfer my call.
• BAKOS (6/5): Used apartment on top floor in great location - The strength of the apartment is its location. It is very central, in the middle of the main London attractions. The downside of the apartment is that it is run-down, used wooden flooring, furniture, walls, no decorations to make it more pleasant and warm. It should not have 4*. The height of the apartment is very low. The balcony is from the bedrooms, not living room/kitchen which is a pity, as it leaves less occasions to enjoy the gorgeous view. The apartment has just one bathroom, no separate toilet. The staff needs to be called before the checking as per the email instructions as otherwise the agreed time if forgotten, but they are nice and helpful. Despite the aesthetics, we have enjoyed our stay.

• Susan (6/5): Smelly flat - I’m grateful for the flat, it served the purpose because of its location. However, the apartment wasn’t the same as they pictured them in the website. It was dusty and smelled horribly. The dumpster was right in front of our window and I have attached pictures. We were given 1 towel each. You could tell that the beds were old because the mattresses were thinned out. My children, husband and I had backaches every morning from the uncomfortable beds. We ran out of toilet paper and we had to buy it ourselves.
• Sami (8/5): A peaceful apartment with super location! - The apartment is perfectly located and at least our apartment on 4th floor was quiet. There isn’t any noise at all at the night time. The apartment had some marks of wear but everything was functioning ok. I warmly recommend this apartment hotel to families and groups who want to have an affordable accommodation in excellent location near many London attractions.
• andrea (10/5): Posizione perfetta - Ideale per un paio di famiglie che vogliono soggiornare assieme. Praticamente arrivi a piedi in venti minuti a trafalgar square o Leicester square. A 10min dalla London eye. Due bagni e una bella cucina. Forse l’unica pecca è data dagli infissi, i rumori della strada si sentono abbastanza. Nel complesso ottima scelta.

• Verified traveler (4/5): The only good thing is the location - The best thing about this apartment is its location. The kitchen is good , you can find everything important to make your own meal. The place is quite good not to small , Otherwise its so bad because of many resons : 1- it was not clean (dusty). 2- it was so hot ( no air condition) and opening the window is impossible because its so noisy. 3- there was a Mouse in the apartment.

• Terri (4/5): Great location - We rented this condo for a week while in London. The location is great. The beds were old and uncomfortable. There were extra pillows provided in the room however they were covered in stains and had no pillowcases. There was a washing machine but it didn't work and wasn't fixed during our stay. On the fifth day of our stay, we came home to a mouse running across the living room floor. I notified our contact about this and never received a response.
• MISS HEIDI (10/5): Spacious clean family apt. Fantastic location! - Fantastic location, walking distance from London Eye, which you can see from the apartment. Manik and the team were very helpful and we will definitely be back.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Great location but apt. leaves much to be desired - Pros: Apartment was in a great location! Walking distance to trains, buses, subway. Easy walk to IMAX and Eye amongst other things. Meet-up went smoothly even though we were a little delayed. Lift to the apartment made bringing up our bags super easy. Apartment had a lot of space with room for 6 or evening 7 when using pullout couch. Pret bakery directly below apartments was super yum and had friendly employees. Cons: Apartment was extremely dusty and wasn't cleaned very well. We all suffered from allergies while inside. Beds were quite uncomfortable. Tv only had two channels. Master bath sink had a lot of trouble draining and was very small which made even washing your hands hard. Shower rod was wonky in master and water ran hot/cold in shower. Flusher in 2nd bath had to be pushed hard to flush properly. Whole apartment was in need of updating and a deep clean. Considering the money we spent to stay there, I expected more. We ended up checking out early.

Location is pretty good for getting around. Apartment had dust that would get on things the whole stay. Mattress was not very comfortable.
