- James (10/5): Our perfect vacation in Rome and the surrounding area was made even more memorable by staying at Vi. - Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations and I am not certain that I could find the exact words to convey how beyond satisfied we were. The location was perfect. We were within walking distance to the most historic sites in Rome. Villa Spalletti Trivelli is within short walking distance to the Coliseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain just to name a few. From their location on top of the hill you are literally walking in the footsteps of history. From our home base at Villa Spalletti we spent time in Vatican City, but from this location you could literally walk a short distance and see the oldest Jesuit University that educated 16 Popes and 28 Canonized Saints or simply walk down the street to the church that has 22-25 preserved hearts from Popes dating back to 1585. It is also close to many fantastic restaurants, shops and cafes as well, with several recommended by the staff. The breakfast available each morning is outstanding and I would challenge you to find a better cup of cappuccino than they serve. Beyond the perfect location, the Villa itself is stunning. Each of the rooms in the common areas are beautiful. Any of the locations from the library to the other sitting rooms are a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a complimentary drink from the well stocked bar. When not sitting inside, we were able to sit in the courtyard and listen to the water trickling from the fountain, or at the rooftop deck. The guest rooms were also outstanding. Everything from the decorations, to the large windows that allowed you to open completely to enjoy the fresh air and the views. All aspects from the walk in closets, to firmness of the bed, nothing was overlooked. Aside from all of what was mentioned, this was enhanced even more by the professional staff. From the moment you arrive you will feel like the only guest staying at Villa Spalletti. This was from the front desk, to the servers, to those who prepared our rooms. Nothing

- Tamara (10/5): Absolutely Fabulous!!! - 1. We had the prestige double - huge, beautiful room and we had a terrace (which I had requested in advance - this room faces a small street but very quiet). Bathroom: Separate soaking bathtub, two large sinks, lots of storage and large shower. Walk-in wardrobe/closet. Beds and pillows extremely comfortable. 2. Minibar was completely complementary and refilled everyday (including water, juices, sodas, beer, and alcohol.) Housekeeping was phenomenal - and attended our every request promptly. 3. Breakfast was fabulous with many options. Everything freshly made. Breakfast staff was extremely courteous and exceptionally efficient. The chef was so absolutely sweet and would come out to chat with us (we were often one of the last tables for breakfast which runs until 11am.) 4. We walked to the colosseum, Trevi fountain, and many other nearby sites in under 10 min. The area is right near a federal police station so also very safe and quiet as well. We went in February; I imagine in spring and summer, when the trees are green, it would be amazing. 5. Every single reception staff person went above and beyond to greet us, check in on us, and assist us everyday. 6. In the evening, there is a self-service open bar including a variety of liquors as well as mixers and prosecco. There are 3 rooms you can lounge in which makes it feels like your in a private home. Very lavish and elegant. 7. Because it was cold in February of course, we didn't spend much time in the garden area where you can also enjoy meals and drinks. 8. We checked out the rooftop bar and lounge area (which includes a small wading pool and separate hot tub) but it was too cold to be up there. Highly recommend for the warmer months! 9. As guests you have access to the spa in the basement level (steam room, sauna, and pool with jets for wading and water massages.) We accessed the spa 3x and also had massages 1x! 10. Nothing

- Sarah (8/5): Beautiful location, grand villa - Villa Spalletti was located in close proximity and walking distance to most major attractions and fine dining. The villa was an absolutely stunning example of the beauty of Rome. The staff were attentive and courteous and went out of their way to assist you. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and was always spotless. Unfortunately the bed was extremely hard for my liking despite a topper being applied at request. We stayed in the Romantic Room with two windows - one facing the park, the other a side street. The windows were not soundproofed and as such it was noisy every night. We could also hear footsteps and talking from the room above which woke us on several occasions.

- Helene (6/5): A comfortable stay in a central location - The hotel bedroom and bathroom were lovely, spacious and very well maintained. The property has a lovely garden and roof terrace. All the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed the spa and a fantastic massage with Vanya. The reception rooms smell fusty like an unused stately home, rather than a 5 star hotel. The dining room is a little tired. While the waiting staff were lovely. Service and the quality of food is not of a 5 star hotel. I would also have liked the ability to make myself a hot drink in my room.

Très haute tenue de l'établissement, grande attention du personnel, emplacement central près du Quirinal. La visite de Rome peut se faire à pied depuis l'hotel situé dans une zone très calme. - B1726LEmorgank (10/5): A really special place - gracious and accommodating - I normally avoid boutique hotels because I prefer the anonymity and amenities of larger-scale hotels. I booked a reservation at Villa Spalletti due to its proximity to the Caravaggio exhibition nearby and I'm so glad I did. Villa Spalletti is like a throw-back to an earlier era of travel and leisure. It has gracious sitting rooms on the main level, leading to an outdoor patio. There is a self-service station for drinks all day and each room is stocked with a complimentary mini bar. Continental breakfast is included in the morning. Bed turn-down service is provided at night. Although I was travelling alone, it seemed like most the other guests were couples travelling together. I was extended warm hospitality as a single traveller but it certainly would have been ever nicer to partake Villa Spalletti's gracious accommodations with a companion.

Easy walking distance to most attractions and a peaceful retreat for rest. The communication from staff was outstanding from the moment we booked right through to check out. We dined at the hotel each of the three nights and enjoyed a high level of service and delightful cuisine using long held traditional family recipes. We enjoyed the rooftop bar and the outdoor alfresco, especially at the end of a busy day exploring Ancient Rome. The breakfast selection was diverse and delicious. Our room was particularly well appointed, the bathroom luxurious with separate bath. Generous supplies of snacks and refreshments. Highly recommended, Villa Spalletti Trivelli is our new favourite hotel. Nothing at all - perfect in every way.

My room was decorated in quality antiques with a deep bath, separate shower and double vanity in the marble bathroom. Blissful! The option to eat in the shady, jasmine covered garden or the plush dining room and to sit in one of the comfortable sitting rooms before and after dining was a very pleasant experience, especially after the hustle and bustle of the very crowded Rome tourist spots. The staff were exceptional… professional, helpful and knowledgeable about Rome and they all go the extra mile to ensure that guests feel welcomed and cared for during their stay. Very highly recommend. I really couldn’t fault my experience at the Villa.

- EWB2015 (10/5): The Ultimate Roman Experience - Rome has no shortage of luxury five-star properties, but Villa Spalletti transcends a generic hotel stay to an exceptional experience. Staying in an elegant villa that has been part of Roman society for the better part of a century can seem intimidating, but the moment we arrived, it felt like we were welcomed home. The entire team is warm and kind and understands the need for guests to rest. They are entirely unobtrusive. However, they quietly anticipate needs and are more than happy to take care of you when you need something. Mr. Andrea Spalletti, the newest generation of this storied family that owns the villa, is very present and engaging with the guests, further elevating the experience. His team quickly learns your preferences and greets you warmly whenever you reenter after an exhausting day running around Rome. The front and bell services team are very welcoming. The chef and the team caring for you in the dining room make you feel completely at home. Housekeeping is meticulous and thoughtful. And then there is Francesco, the Front Office Manager. He welcomed us beautifully, giving a tour of the property and checking on us frequently. Like Andrea, Francesco is a consummate hotelier and host. And now, the property itself- From the front entrance foyer to the grand public spaces, the dining room, the garden, and the rooftop terrace, the Villa is a wonderful representation of a grand home in Rome. It's a unique opportunity to experience a beautiful way to live. The architectural details are stunning, as are the furnishings and magnificent art, which extend into the sumptuous accommodations. All in all, the Villa Spalletti Trivelli was as memorable as all the riches of Rome. I am already dreaming of the day we will return.

The room is spacious and quiet with all modern equipment despite the fact that this is a 100 years old villa. The breakfast is excellent. The complementary minibar is also well equipped. - Summ28 (10/5): Classic and lovely Roman villa, exceptional location - Villa Spalletti is a beautiful, Roman villa located in a quiet, upscale part of town walking distance to everything. We chose it for our trip because we wanted a charming, classically Italian, luxury boutique hotel as opposed to a glitzy chain. Spalletti was exactly that and more. It is elegant, old world, but with modern amenities and comforts. The family that owns/manages the villa has a collection of art and antiques which fill the hotel making you feel you are visiting them for your stay. And in the evenings they set out a table in the livingroom for making your own cocktail which adds to that personal ambiance. Breakfast in the dining room was quite pleasant and the offerings were ample and delicious. Everything is served on porcelain, no paper or plastic. The chef and kitchen staff are wonderful. We decided to have dinner there one evening and it was very good, a nice break from the busy city scene. Our room was lovely with big shuttered windows and a solid luxurious bed with linen bedding. What a treat! And our bathroom was pretty, lots of marble and a nice place to get ready. We walked to all sights and restaurants from the hotel, the only exception was to the Vatican. Our Uber was 18Euro. I will tell everyone I know to stay at Villa Spalletti! I am discerning and I cant think of any improvements.

- DiscerningTraveler27 (10/5): Exceptional Hotel in a Great Location! - The beautiful Villa Spalletti Trivelli is in a perfect location for exploring Rome, near the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum, yet in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The rooms and common spaces are spacious, elegant and beautifully decorated with antiques and gorgeous tapestries. The hotel staff are kind and professional and anticipate the needs of the guests. The complementary drinks at the bar were a highlight of our evenings at Villa Spaletti Trivelli. I will never stay anywhere else in Rome. I cannot wait to return!

We could open the window at night and let cool air in (the rooms in Europe are always too warm for us!). This hotel is outstanding- we’d go back in a flash. Nothing

- Shona (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful villa with 12 rooms. Fabulous central location yet quiet. Many stunningly decorated reception rooms to relax and socialise in. Nice touches like complimentary aperitifs and after dinner drinks . Free mini bar in room. Our room was beautifully decorated, large bathroom and again, nice personal touches to welcome guests. Top range toiletries. Breakfast was ample and varied with cooked selection on offer. Fabulous coffee. We didn't use the spa but enjoyed the rooftop area with hot tub and drinks. The staff were so helpful , professional and friendly and brought gentle humour to reception. I can not fault this hotel and would love to revisit.

- Gregory (10/5): Outstanding property in a convenient location - We had a very enjoyable three-night stay at this lovely property. Everything about this place was outstanding from the moment we arrived. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the room was large, well appointed, and spotless. The linens and amenities were all very nice. Although the property is not far from some busy streets, it's very quiet inside and in the outdoor garden courtyard in the area behind the building. The included breakfast was fabulous, offering a range of hot and cold items. It is very conveniently located near a number of main attractions and numerous restaurants within easy walking distance. All in all, a very good value. We will stay there again if our plans bring us back to Rome anytime soon.

- Tim (10/5): Experience a GREAT Experience at Villa Spalletti! - Great quiet street yet super close to the sites, shopping and entertainment. The hotel is a classic stately Italian fine home that's been transformed into an awesome suite of rooms with many comfortable indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy and relax. Staff is very responsive and kind. Room and service is impeccable. Comfy bed, dark room for sleeping in and host of great things thing like desk plug ins, free beverages in room, nice towels, robes and linens. Breakfast was good and served till 11am. Nothing!

- Cherine (10/5): Wonderful experience - dont hesitate to book! - We stayed in the Palatino suite as a family of four. Huge room with two bathrooms and a large private patio. It has excellent A/C, which is a must for Rome in August. This location is an easy walk to the Trevi. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful, and everything in the minibar was included and refilled daily. Every night, there were self-serve cocktails in the library, which were a nice treat, and an included breakfast. We loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place in Rome. The driveway was a bit tight for our large van we had rented. The hotel requires you to ring a doorbell and wait for someone to enter which isn't that big of a deal but annoying when you forget something and you cant run back inside.
