It far surpassed our expectations with exceptional southern hospitality. It was exactly what we were looking for. Excellent location, easily walkable to many attractions/points of interest. Wonderful breakfast every morning, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. 10 out of 10, highly recommend! We hope to stay again, Soon!
• amie20162016 (10/5): Excellent place to stay in Savannah - Awesome mansion that has housed presidents in the past. Very nice, spacious corner room on the top floor (Premier King). Kara, a hostess/receptionist, was super sweet when I telephoned to make the reservation, (because the website was having issues), and also with finding restaurants open late because of our late arrival. She was very helpful throughout our stay. All of the staff were attentive and nice. Breakfast was included (tasty and different every day) as was a glass of wine for happy hour.
• badesigns (6/5): Not the best for an historical B&B. - Historical feel, nice quartyard, exceptionally nice and personable receptionists. Kara was truly exceptional. Wine in the afternoon, Proximity to everything, Great private, serene courtyard. Spacious rooms. Well-appointed bathroom. The cons - single pane windows (three in our first-floor room) allowed all noise in. You heard everything. There were no blackout drapes, only shutters. You could hear all the noise from people coming into our out of the hotel along with conservation as reception was about 25 feet from the main door. The room door did not seal with light entering from three sides. SAFETY We wish we had room safes. The rooms had easily replicated house keys. We ended up missing $300+ in cash, a very expensive medical device that looks similar to a iPhone and a small vile of pills that was hidden in a small fabric packet that would have been placed in a room safe. We called about the missing vile and noticed the medical device and cash a it later. Since they denied finding the pills, we figured they would not find our "other " things. The new hotel owners are going to close the hotel for 2 years shortly after our stay. They will cannibalize a small parking lot to build an 50 additional rooms. This large building will loom over the courtyard, it will lose most of its privatenes, light and serenity. Hopefully, they will rectify the peeling paint and delayed maintenance that was noticeable during our stay. Mattresses, bed springs, windows etc., bed linens need to be replaced.

Grace, Karen and Scarlett were very helpful and attentive at the front desk during checkin / out and with answering any questions. The breakfast prepared by Lilly and Hilda was very tasty. The king loft room and common areas were spotless. My family had a great experience at the President Quarters Inn.
• bjn783 (10/5): Really lovely, charming, Southern Inn showing Georgia hospitality at its finest. - What an absolutely delightful little place, with wonderful staff, great breakfasts, SUPERBLY equipped rooms with great lighting ( hurrah!!!! ) and really, really comfortable beds. Thank you to Scarlett and especially to Gracen. Both of them go above and beyond and make the Inn feel like home. The little courtyard garden is charming and the wine hour is the perfect time to sit outside and kick back and relax. Great location and an easy walk to everything.

The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the historic district, making it easy to explore everything Savannah has to offer. The inn itself is adorably quaint, full of charm and character, with lovely attention to detail throughout. The customer service was truly exceptional. A special thank you to Scarlett and Gracen, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Our room had so much personality and felt like a perfect blend of comfort and Southern charm. Overall, a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Savannah!

And kudos to the chefs, Kandra & Hilda for the delicious breakfasts. And best of all their Manager, Meowy!! Wish you all well in the future. Unfortunately, all will change soon when the new owners close down to renovate and replace the parking lot with giant extension.
• Stay601827 (8/5): Wonderful visit to Savannah - We had a wonderful time in Savannah. The Inn is in a great location, walkable to everything we wanted to do. Their staff was warm and helpful. The majority of our interactions were with Scarlett, who was gracious and charming. Dan was also very helpful, as changing plans on our end resulted in a need to reschedule our visit twice. We had been told that the courtyard side of the building was the most quiet, but choose to upgrade to a king on one of the streets. Street noise was evident, but we turned on the fan for the AC and street activity mostly died out about 9:00 PM. Our room was large, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was fine. Their courtyard is a standout, which we fully enjoyed accompanied by perfect spring weather.

Scarlett was extremely helpful making sure all guests had what they needed for breakfast; also, special requests. She recommended a great driver to take me to the train station for an early train departure! My friends and I all had good experiences. They Inn is convenient to many of the must see places in Savannah!

We could hear every voice that arrived in the evening & left in the morning. I also think a cat worked its way in at some point. Strongly recommend rooms NOT on the ground floor. Great courtyard, location, & appreciated the convenient parking. Would definitely stay again - as long as on an upper level.

• Freedom19014714654 (10/5): Memorable Stay at The President's Quarters - I made our reservation with Dan. He was so pleasant and informative. He and Gracen greeted us when we arrive. Scarlett was there later when we returned after dinner. She too was just lovely. Our breakfasts were delicious made by Kandra & Hilda. This historic, immaculate B & B was the highlight of our visit to Savannah. They have free private parking for their guests which was an enormous bonus. Everything was perfection and we thank you all for such a memorable visit. The Dwight D. Eisenhower room was exquisite including the balcony.
• Hmdbfd (10/5): Lovely stay in one of our favorite B&B/Inns - We booked at the last minute and were so happy to be able to stay again at the Presidents' Quarters Inn. The fourth floor loft room was great. The room was clean and well appointed and the Inn policies were clearly explained. The staff especially Kara, Dan , Scarlett,and Gracen were always very helpful and welcoming. If we had any questions they went above and beyond to help us find solutions. They even gave us suggestions on attracions that we had not seen on prior visits The Inn is so close to the squares, historic houses, museums, shopping, River Street, and other attractions we did not need to use our car except for trips outside the area. We could walk to any of the wonderful restaurants each evening. The reserved parking spaces at the PQI were an added blessing! It was wonderful to be able to visit friends and family and know that we would come back to a safe lit parking area. I would not hesitate to recommend Presidents' Quarters Inn to my friends. We hope to visit again soon.
• Quest24924237188 (10/5): Charming B&B in the Historic District - The Presidents’ Quarters’ is charming / from the rooms, to its outside courtyard. The staff, Scarlett, Gracen & Brandon are warm, welcoming and helped with any questions. Scarlett walked us out to our parking spot and later gave great directions. Gracen came to our room to help us set up WiFi. Breakfast was delicious and complimentary wine in the afternoon was a special treat. The location is perfect for walking everywhere.

• K3069INannel (8/5): Great Location! - Great Inn with a fantastic breakfast! Amazing location in the heart of the historic district at a very reasonable price compared to other Inns. Nice parking on-site that was advertised as free on Expedia, but apparently, the Inn changed its policy back in March to $30/night. I felt they should have honored what I saw on their website, but after multiple conversations at the front desk, I let it go. Unfortunately, we had a room on the first floor right by the lobby and kitchen. The noise was really too much. Awoke to staff conversations, dishes and silverware being set-up....at 6:45am. Ugh to a relaxing morning. Our room was large and so was the bathroom, which was very nice, however the decor and furniture was worn and outdated. The breakfast staff was delightful!!

We were always admiring the Presidents Quarters when we would eat at a neighboring restaurant. We decided to give it a try and it was a marvelous experience. All of the staff was so sweet. They learned our names and made everything very personal. The rooms were adorable. We enjoyed the breakfast and the wine hour. The location was perfect to the things that we were interested in. And again I can’t say enough about the staff. The two young girls that greeted us were so friendly and welcoming. The room was big, clean and had plenty of old world charm. I guess the only little issue is that the bed was a tiny bit uncomfortable. But the price compared to many of the other bed-and-breakfast spots in the downtown area was quite reasonable. We would love to go back. Thank you again for making our little getaway so special.

Nice wine offerings pre-dinner. Perhaps a little cheese to go with the wine would be even nicer. Room A/C fan helps mute outside noise. Overall wonderful place to stay for a Savannah getaway.
• wanderinround (10/5): Historic Charm and Southern Hospitality - My daughter and I stayed at the P.Q. Inn from March 23rd to 27th, and it was my best trip to Savannah yet (and I've had a few)! We were there to tour SCAD, shop, eat, and generally soak up Savannah's prolific ambiance. My 17-year-old daughter fell in love at first sight with the city, as I did. Over the years I have stayed in inns, hotels, and Air B&Bs, but P.Q. Inn was recommended to me to try by my brother. They had me at PARKING! It is incredibly unusual in historic downtown to have a parking lot attached to your lodging. It was so very, very nice! I would stay here again for that perk alone. Fortunately for us, that wasn't the only perk. I think what truly gives this place the edge is its employees. They love what they do, they love Savannah, and they are genuinely lovely human beings. I had the most contact with Dan, Kara, Scarlett, and Brandon. From storing our cooler and letting us park early before check-in to keeping my snacks in their fridge, they just wanted to be helpful in any way they could. I felt like I had known these fellow Southerners my whole life. THAT'S why I'll take Savannah's warmth over Charleston's self-importance any day! Although we didn't meet the chefs, we surely appreciated their art. My daughter's favorite foods in Savannah were the bacon and the raspberry pastries at the P.Q.Inn and the Olde Pink House's fried chicken. That's saying something! I choose to stay in historic buildings ( I have always lived in old houses too) because I appreciate their charm and their history. Old buildings have quirks, that's why we love them. Old houses have floors that creak, paint that chips, and windows that aren't as hermetically sealed as modern ones. I'll still take the historic venue over a sterile modern one every time. If you don't like old things, please do yourself a favor and stay at a new hotel. I stay in the middle of the historic district to appreciate its art, its architecture, and the buildings dating back to the 1700s. Yes, you may hear a horse clopping by. You may hear a tour guide teaching a group about a nearby building. If you want to go to sleep at 9:00, again, do yourself a favor and stay at the Westin across the river. My room looked out at the 17hundred90 Inn and that is ground zero for ghost tours. They were never overly loud, nor continued past 10:30 at night. The previous reviewer who mentioned the noise keeping him up past Midnight is just not telling the truth. I was there the same week. Savannah is very good about cutting the noise off by 11 pm, and I have found that it is usually closer to 10 or 10:30 pm. You absolutely cannot beat this inn for location. It sits directly on Oglethorpe Square and you never have to move your car (although you can if you want without having to look for hours for another one) as everything is within walking distance. I will absolutely stay here again on my future trips to the city I love. I have read, sadly, that this inn has been sold to a larger developer who intends to expand, and build over the top of the current parking lot. I love the Presidents' Quarters Inn just the way it is. I understand that old buildings are expensive to maintain, however, and the cost to stay here is in line with other hotels, many that don't have to pay the high costs of keeping a historical building in good shape. I selfishly wish the sale would fall through because the parking perk alone moved them to the top of my list; the employees keep them at the top. (Mold on shower curtain, mold on ceiling, paint peeling in multiple places, blind didn’t work and was filthy, rust in areas), lights out in half the elevator, beds were very wiggly, decor in rooms was lacking, water pressure was minimal

• Linda (8/5): - Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast choices were good, Iced water always available was great. Ground floor location of room was sometimes noisy from bar patrons across the street, horses--not a huge issue but did wake us up occasionally. Would have liked to have had an every other day housekeeping refresh of the room with at least clean towels.

We stayed on the 4th floor and loved listening for the horse carriages driving past and the sound of the hooves! Scarlett, Gracen and Kandra truly are wonderful and made I’d stay so so great! Thank you Scarlett and Gracen for your wonderful recommendations and lovely smiles each time we came in or out. Kandra, your breakfasts were AMAZING! We LOVED the French toast with praline butter! It was such a great way to start our days! The location is touch notch!! Loved being right off a square and so central to everything. We frequently would make a bit stop throughout each day to drop by the room and drop off things or grab things. Thank you so so much for everything!! We had an amazing time!
• KarenFromAR (10/5): Fabulous, friendly staff & fabulous location! - My husband and I loved our 4-night stay here! Everyone on staff was wonderful as was the food, and they happily packed up a to-go breakfast for us when we left, since we had to be at the airport well before the breakfast hour. The wine happy hour each night was a fun time to chat with other guests, and the evening chocolate chip cookies were a fun treat :-) It's an awesome location, with almost everything within totally doable walking distance. Our first time in Savannah, we know now that we'd like to go back again, and we'd gladly stay again with the good folks at Presidents' Quarters!

• 154natashav (10/5): A place that honors the squares around it - Scarlett was a delight and a beam of light each morning - she knew the best route to take so my mom saw all the squares on her birthday. Gracen in the evening was a calming presence and made delicious chocolate chip cookies and wine hour. Kara made my moms birthday perfect. Helping me plan months in advance for my moms birthday. The presidents quarters is a slice of homely hospitality that may never ever exist again in this country and as more historic places vanish so do the people who make it special. Like the oak trees that have survived in this town because people cared i hope inns dont fade into a distant memory surrounded only by the squares that remind us what used to be. Thank you Kara, Scarlett and Grace twas an honor.
• Timothy (10/5): Absolute Gem, Fantastic Stay! - My wife and I visited Savannah for our anniversary and spent four nights at this amazing inn. All the staff that we met were friendly and helpful, Gracen and Scarlett in particular had great recommendations for local sights to check out. The breakfast is not to be missed. During our stay we had biscuits and gravy; eggs, bacon, and potatoes; french toast with praline butter and sausage; and a breakfast burrito (eggs, sausage, cheese, and salsa) with potatoes and fresh fruit. They also offer a complimentary wine hour in the late afternoon if you want a chance to decompress between sightseeing and dinner. The inn’s location is perfect for navigating downtown Savannah. We were able to walk everywhere that we wanted to explore in 15 minutes or less apart from Bonaventure Cemetery, which was only about a 10-minute drive. The room itself struck a nice balance between vintage charm in the furniture and decor and modern convenience with A/C and recently remodeled bathrooms. We will absolutely be coming back the next time we’re in Savannah. Presidents’ Quarters Inn is truly a fantastic find! P.S. Send our regards to Manager Meowy, their adopted cat turned manager. She runs a tight ship 😊
• Linda (10/5): - From our easy and friendly check in with Grayson, and our breakfast service with Scarlet everything was perfect. I don’t recall the chef’s name, but everything she made was superb and even shared her homemade granola recipe. We will definitely be back, we felt right at home.

• JULIE (4/5): - Food was excellent, place was clean, bed was not good, we were in 303, maybe got a bum room, 2 people in a king bed and if you moved even an inch, squeak squeak squeak, bed sinks to the middle so clearly mattress needs replacing, also they didn’t use fitted sheets on top of their mattress protector so it kept slipping off and found that to be very janky for a place that advertises to be so nice, sheets don’t even stay on bouncy bed, also no curtains over blinds and door doesn’t close flush so light in the room all evening from the hall. Tv so small you can’t see it from the bed. Huge room, big bed, but tiny tv Overall place has potential but we didn’t sleep well For what we paid no way worth it and we will only stay again if it is a free redo to make up for this We were disappointed, I’m sore some of the other rooms are better, just our luck

• George (10/5): Fabulous Hotel in Historic Savannah - An excellent, historic hotel in the heart of the historic district of Savannah. Walking distance to anywhere in downtown Savannah, and a short drive to Tybee Island, Wormsloe plantation and Boneventure Cemetery. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful regarding anything Savannah. Breakfast is fabulous. Parking is secure and included.
• Andrea (10/5): - The Inn was a great location to stay a few days and enjoy all that downtown Savannah has to offer! To breakfasts were TOP KNOTCH!
• Yevgeniy (4/5): - Room was not clean. Dust everywhere. Room was lacking basic amenities like mini fridge or a coffee machine. Tea or coffee was available only till 10 and then you are on your own. Breakfast had extremely limited choices. When we suggested that either choice of the day we cannot eat we were told that unfortunately we cannot be accommodated and should seek breakfast elsewhere. We went in a quite cold week but not any extreme. The bathroom didn’t have any heating and it was extremely cold. I feel sorry for people who will stay the week after us as the temperatures are dropping. The bedroom had its historic charm but the bed was extremely high, steps on one side only and the mattress extremely bouncy and uncomfortable. AC unit was installed inside of the bedroom behind extremely flimsy door. Noise was unbearable. The staff was inattentive and ignorant. And all this was during off off season when the hotel was empty. The parking was the only positive thing.

The facility was a "little long in the tooth". Requires updating, especially the TV sets. The cleanliness was acceptable but requests were made to dust and clean certain sections of the room. The shower floor was very slippery. The only solution was to lay down a bath towel. The breakfasts were not so good. The granola/fruit/muffing/coffee/juice were good. The cooked (Microwaved ?) breakfasts were very disappointing.

The bed was a bit noisy, cause the wooden frame is very… historic 😃 Also, ghost tours are gathering right across the street, which can be quite noisy- people walking and talking. Well, this comes with convenience of being right in the middle of the touristy part. We really enjoyed our stay nevertheless.
• Perry (6/5): - Room number 202 is very noisy with a street approx.15 feet from the windows that offered very little insulation, and a large construction dumpster sitting in direct view. There was a constant flow of cars, and drunks at all hours of the night into the early morning, the last night we were woken at 2:00am by a loud conversation outside the window, and weren’t able to go back to sleep from all the traffic noise and loud music. We were given a noise machine that didn’t help at all.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Kara at the front desk was helpful, knowledgeable of the city and made us feel at home. The breakfast was spectacular! Yep, we’ll be staying here again!

Our Host Scarlett was great, not only upgrading our room but also allowing us to check in early and providing helpful information. Wine hour at 5:30 PM was nice and breakfast was offered to be brought to our balcony! Location is perfect to see the sights and self parking next to the building is convenient.
