- Austin (9/5): Very good spot if you don't mind not controlling AC - I liked everything ...it's perfect for what it is ....it's just not pure comfort because they Centrally control the AC ...it's an old hotel . It's perfect for what it's trying to be it's clean , comfortable enough, great staff perfect location..id stay again Could be more comfortable but again it's not the holiday inn
- Kyndy (10/5): -
- Debra (8/5): I would definitely stay here again - It was very close to the facility we needed to use. The restaurant was excellent and it was very clean. Could not figure out how to get the volume working on the television. The plug in the bathroom was literally plugged. We could not plug a hairdryer or curling iron into it.
- Yerilin (10/5): -
- karla (8/5): - Ambiance and style. Location to the border. Staff was very friendly. Windows wouldn't open and it was warm in the room on a cool night
- Manuel (10/5): Great - Everything is close Old fashion
- Gloria Margarita (1/5): Pésimo - No respetaron mi reservación.
- Jan (7/5): The food is good. - Close to the dentist. Would like coffee and tea supplies in the room.

- Michael (10/5): - Its a nice friendly old style Mexican hotel with very friendly people many speaking English and easy walk to the Border.
- Heras (8/5): -
- Oscar (8/5): - Great Service
- Arline (10/5): - I would stay here again! This is a great hotel. I was able to walk around the area, hit up the pharmacies and go shopping, and then return back. Weekend nights they have some clubbing music, so just be warned it won't be quiet on certain nights. They have their own bar + restaurant which makes this a great place to stay at night.
- Manuel (10/5): VW fiesta at the border - Good location, fair price, little out dated but clean and good service
- Yanitza (6/5): I wish we would’ve gotten one of their updated rooms, instead we were situated into one of their outdated rooms. - Location, cleanness The room was outdated, nothing like the photos that they have included in their website.
- Monserrate (10/5): - M
- Michael (10/5): - Excellent hotel & staff. Always our choice. Very professional and impressive hotel.
- Hernan (2/5): Horrible! - Horrible experience front desk personnel tried to double charge me saying payment was not previously done. They claim it wasn’t paid for wich is incorrect as I paid trough the app!
- Sabaté (8/5): Very good - Clean. And the vintage style Restaurant closes on Sundays.
- Richard (5/5): Okay for the price Check the entire room for anything they may charge you for and let them know. - Location, staff was great Up on departure the cleaning staff found the towel thst we used to step on out of the shower that had make up on it. That was why we used it to step on and they charged us $20 for a $1 towel.
- Morgan (8/5): -
- Dylan (8/5): - Really nice place. Staff doesn't speak English, but for the price of a motel 6 you can stay at the fanciest hotel in the city.
- Monserrate (10/5): - Good service nice hotel
- Maria (7/5): Good -
- Anahi (6/5): - Very nice and attentive stagf
- Sally (2/5): - Staff was extremely rude and very unprofessional! I will definitely not be staying here anymore

- Verified traveler (8/5): Will Stay Again - The loation is very convenient, 2 blocks away from the border. You can easily leave your car in Arizona and walk to it and Taxi service is all around the hotel. The restaurant food is very good and the bar is nice with a relaxed ambiance. Our 2 bed room was spacious and clean.
- Daniel (10/5): - I liked it. It was secure. It was clean a little small. The rooms but very nice. Customer service was excellent appreciated the valet parking enjoyable experience. I’ll do it again.
- Jennifer (6/5): - One of the nicer hotels in the area. Very close to the port. Great staff.
- Steve (8/5): nice place & a safe hotel - my only issue was the mattresses were far too soft & were overly spring sensitive. I way 200 lbs so when sat on the edge of the bed i sank kind of deeper than normal. 😂😂😂
- James (10/5): - Historic with all the modern amenities.
- Karen (10/5): - Great hotel
- Aric (4/5): - They put us in a room right on the street with windows that didn’t close right. Cars were revving their engines and blaring music all night and we couldn’t sleep at all. Horrible.
- Yuridia (10/5): - Everything
- Tim (8/5): - No commit
- Michael (10/5): Hotel Fray Marcos. 👍 - I love staying at this hotel. Unique comfortable rooms. Restaurant and bar are top notch. I love the elevator too. You don’t see them like that anymore. Location is perfect walking distance from the POE.
- Alexsandra (8/5): - Maybe I should give this five stars because I love this hotel. It is older in the old central part of Nogales, but Very close to the once-Main shopping Street and a fairly easy walk from La Roca, my favorite restaurant in town. The hotel is clean. The staff is excellent, although speaks limited English. The rooms have been redone and are large with great bathrooms. There is an adequate television and good television channel selection. The rooms don't have some things that we think of as common, like mini refrigerators or even a coffee pot. The refrigerator especially would be convenient because one needs to bring in drinking water. I consider that a very small inconvenience. Altogether, I really like this hotel. First time visitors should be aware that it is in the older downtown section of Nogales. Mostly, Nogales has grown in the area that is a mile or two to the south. The old Central city is a bit rundown. Americans with phobias will fear that it is unsafe. I have never had any suggestion of a problem in a dozen visits, and I walk all around town, even at night. As I said, I love this hotel.
- Erika (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing I will continue too always pick fray
- Jorge (8/5): - Super helpful staff
- Oscar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Omar (4/5): - They didn’t respect the fee, the hotel is downtown around prostitutes, the staff are rude specially the person in charge which I don’t remember her name but has long curly hair.
- Nova (10/5): - Great service and nice rooms
- Tempera (8/5): Very good -
- bulldoug85745 (8/5): Very Pleasant Stay - Checked in on August 21, 2024 while I was having a prearranged auto repair made. The hotel was not busy and I was provided an early check-in which was very much appreciated. This is a nice hotel with an attractive lobby and adjoining restaurant-bar lounge with good food and drinks at a reasonable price. There is an employee operated elevator to get you to your room, but also an alternate stairway that easily gets you to and from your room. The young gal that checked me in was very nice and efficient. The King room I had was very comfortable and clean and the bathroom spacious compared to Mexican standards. The temperature perfect, the bed and pillows excellent and the television had lots of channels including some in English such as CNN, Fox News, etc. Cleanliness and safety were never an issue or concern.
- Eva (10/5): - The only thing is the beds were so hard it felt like we were sleeping in a rock bed. Previous times I had stayed there beds had been very soft comfortable. This time we all woke up with achy backs. But other than that we love this hotel.
- Elia (6/5): - I arrived at 3;00 pm and they said there was no water and that water would be back on until 9-10 pm . Huge inconvenience. All I wanted was to take a shower and rest , well had to wait till 9:30 pm to do so
- Adrian (10/5): - Very good place to stay
- Wm (2/5): Cold dribble shower - If indoor plumbing is critical, avoid this one! Save yourself! Shower is a cold dribble.
- Moses (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Uday (10/5): - Close to the border and very nice place to stay for family and friends.
- Peter (10/5): - The restaurant at the hotel was great. It's only 2 blocks from the border. Great place to stay for dental appointments.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Just ok - While the stay at the hotel was nice. Because the ambience was very enchanting. The staff were friendly and i loved the ascetics. The bed sheets were not clean. A house keeping issue more than likely. It cost an extra 25 for our dog. There was no water in the room or coffee. No microwave or fridge. The water in the shower alternates from hot to cold through the entire shower. There was no heat or air controls in the room and it was uncomfortably cold. And at checkout we got billed for a towel that had a redmark from my wifes hair that you could barely see. I do like the potential of the hotel but i feel it could definitely benefit from some updating. It wasn't super expensive but the stay in total cost over 125 dollars that is if they return the deposit. We may just be spoiled by U.S. hotels. Anyway with that being said. It wasn't terrible and the room was nice but I dought I will ever go back.
- Elias (2/5): Dirty Establishment - dirty rooms and the smell of chemicals perfume the spaces
- Eduardo (2/5): Service Sucks - Poor service throughout elevator seems to be on its last leg. The last straw was being. Barged for a towel being dirty that was used to wipe my face. They charged me for it when the towels were on poor conditions to begin with itch. Valet parking was a joke and at midnight my car alerted me that someone was in it. I called the desk and they quickly closed the doors. Stay away I will never give them my business again…..
- Guy (10/5): - I have stayed here a number of times as well as the Fairfield Inn . It depends on what you are looking for. If you want Medical Services and good local food? The Fray Marcos is the way to go. If you like Walmart and shopping center? The Marriott.
- Rosa (2/5): Bad customer service - I reserved three rooms but it was cold in there customer service not good either I won’t recommend it
- Roman (9/5): Superb -
- M (10/5): - Всё норм…
- Harrison (6/5): - Attractive common areas and room. However the plumbing needs an update. Very low water pressure. It took seven minutes (I timed it) for the shower water to get hot. Toilet was not working. And there was gum embedded in the carpet in my room. Staff were all very kind and helpful.
- Silvia (8/5): Amazing customer service - Customer service is excellent.
They answer all our questions and suggest ideas & places to go .
- Maria (10/5): - Always the best service cleanest and restaurant delicious food!!
- Ernest (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (9/5): Would stay again, and recommend to friends. - The ambience was elegant, the staff friendly, helpful, and courteous. Liked the old fashion elevator, it was pretty cool. The room had no individual temperature control, it was a bit chilly.
- Cárdenas (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (7/5): Good -
- James (10/5): - Close to everything near the border, friendly staff, very accomodating, very modern yet still has some of its historic charm.
- Yanisleydi (10/5): - Thank you Mario for your time and dedication.
- Jackson (3/5): Poor -
- Luis (2/5): Need to improve their actitud - Terrible experiencie during check in.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Erik (6/5): I would and will stay there again. - The staff was excellent and the location was great. The room did not have it's own thermostat or refrigerator. Most hotels also have coffee in the room. I am used to hotels that are comparably priced in the US, however . Lack of control of the climate and high water pressure from the vanity and no water pressure in the shower.
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional -
- DAVID (8/5): - The only place well suited for US travelers. Friendly English speaking staff. Older building mostly updated. Regular rooms are dated.
- Brisa (1/5): worst experience of my life. - not one thing. when arriving ti the hotel all was good service was good was placed on the 7th floor did not mind once getting into the 7th floor looked like it was was under construction it’s smelled moldy also had an old smell and looked like that was was under constriction. we get into the room the same smells old and moldy and it was so hot in the room once we asked about the ace they said they couldn’t turn it on because it had not had maintenance. the bedsheets where old and smelled really bad once walking into the bathroom floor was dirty had hairs on the floor when we went to ask staff if we can change ti a different room because of the conditions they told us that that was the room that we picked and could not change it unless we paid more money asked if we can cancel because we had a pregnant person with us and could not stay there they wanted us to pay $100US to cancel and said if we wanted to upgrade to a functioning room with AC we had to pay $60 US. The walls are so thin and you CAN HEAR EVERYTHING..!!
