- Brian (7/5): Great stop for families - Rooms are okay, but a little outdated - but beds are comfortable and big (king size). The restaurant is great value - not overpriced. Good activities for kids - pool, table tennis, billard, tennis etc. Aircon units are fairly old and noisy - we had to turn off ours doing the night as too noisy. If you don't play golf - then probably not a destination.

- Andrew (6/5): Great golf course, but not a hotel. - The location on the golf course was great, the course and facilities (inlcuding food and service) at the golf club were excellent. The suites at Mount Malarayta is not a hotel or resort, it is a residential estate next to a really good 27 hole golf course. The only dining facilities (bar or entertainment) is at the golf club which closes around 6:30pm - we arrived direct from the International Airport just after 7pm and everything was closed at the "resort" and there is nothing within walking distance.

The door is hard to open with a key & and also hard to close (I think due to the hydraulic arm) 2. Toilet paper is too 'cheap' 3. Misaligned faucet that can see dark stuff on it (mold?) 4. The water in the bath doesn't all go inside the sink so the water pools inside the center (it is not clogged) 5. The chair's foam has stains and is concave....need re-upholstery or cleaning? add: pool's side where pebble meets the water are too sharp. I think it is corrosion over time. something to fix to minimize injury or scratches.

The staff are all very kind. All the staff including security are so kind and friendly. The Spa is great. Their staff massage therapist, Marylyn, is excellent. It is so relaxing after traveling.

It was the first day of my honeymoon and I had booked a room there on my way to our destination with hopes of playing a round of golf. (My wife had once caddied there previously and I wanted to share that experience). I developed a painful case of gout the day before and was barely able to walk. When I asked if I could rent a golf cart and pay to have a caddie shows us the course briefly for future references , I was told that unless I paid the greens fees also that there were no golf carts available. I was disappointed in not being able to take a 15-20 minute tour unless I paid full price.

Will not serve you even though your a paying guest and even if you are decently dressed including your children. No room service. For a tropical island, this is NOT a Resort Experience. Just a pretty Golf Course for Golfers. It should not be called a Resort. Needs improvement overall. Sorry.

Unfortunately, the narra rooms are uncomfortable, dark and very old. The entire hotel and room smell like raid and it's definitely not suitable in cleanliness if you are traveling with kids for those that are. The service and staff were nice, but apart from that, I would definitely recommend getting a room upgrade if you can afford it. At that price point though there are a lot of other options for hotel rooms in nicer hotels. The main benefit of being here is if you are golfing and just want something convenient. Also in the past the rooms all included breakfast and now they don't, which is unfortunate for the price point.

The swimming pool, spa and massage options complemented the relaxing atmosphere around the resort. The resort was central to all of the cities we visited including a beach-side resort. This meant less traveling and more time spent on our planned activities. If I go back to the Philippines I will stay here again. The views of the grounds, lakes and jungle was exceptional.

The Club has excellent golf facilities and can rival any outside the country. Some non-golf facilities (kids soft play area) seemed neglected and under-utilized. The food was more expensive than the food court at the local SM Mall but was priced fairly for good food at a restaurant. We were disappointed when housekeeping didn't replace our full complement of towels missing 2 face cloths in one room and one hand towel in another. What's worse is the hotel charged us for the missing towels upon checkout. We made our beds each day quickly before leaving and then noticed that they didn't change the sheets when cleaning the room. Throughout our week long stay the sheets were not changed. Our rooms also had a problem with ants. The resort charged for the use of the trampoline, badminton courts and racquets which surprised us. It just seemed that the resort was worried about nickels and dimes and less about customer satisfaction. I don't think we'll be returning to this resort.

No guest are allowed at the pool without being charged, no one was hardly at the pool so why in the world would you not allow your guest to have friends over??? Nice room yet you supply 2 hangers for a four night stay. I think most couples should have more items to hang up than one each. Just a whole bunch of stupid little things that were not needed. The list could go on.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Great place for quiet and relaxation, but costly! - First off, great place to get away. Closed, gated community. It's located in a pretty remote area. Hotel was clean, reliable wifi, and beds were comfortable. TV reception was also very good, though limited channels. The biggest drawback were the amenities and cost of everything. There was a charge for everything, and yes, I understand that this is a country club, but the charges for food as well as gym use were a bit ridiculous. Front desk staff was a bit snooty upon our check-in, but everyone else was very nice. I would definitely book this hotel if you'd like to get away for a relaxing, quiet time away from the city.
