• Tigress (9/5): - I would absolutely stay here again! Adorable room, comfortable bed, easy check-in, lovely breakfast spot within walking distance The *only* reason I am giving this 9 instead of 10 is because there is not quite enough parking for the number of guests. They have an overflow parking arrangement with the business next door, but if you have to park there because there are no parking places available in the hotel lot, your car has to be moved by 8:00 a.m.. So two out of the 3 days that I stayed at the hotel, I had to get up much earlier than planned to move my car, and on one of those days there was nowhere to move the car to because no one else had left the hotel yet. This was mostly a minor inconvenience for us, but it is something I think other guests might want to be aware of If the free parking is one of the biggest perks for them.

• Jeanette (10/5): - It’s a great place! We came to Santa Barbara for a funeral, and this spot was nice and cozy. Wendy at the front desk was very welcoming, and there are restaurants within walking distance. We’ll definitely be back for a longer stay.
• Q5717EAtiffanyt (10/5): Girls trip getaway - We had a wonderful stay! Very cute, good value, spacious 2 queen bed. Kitchenette has everything we needed including electronic kettle and pots. Parking can get difficult without enough spaces but the lot next door allowed overnight stays through Monday morning. Very clean with good toiletries. We will definitely stay again!

• E9869DQstevec (8/5): Nice and cozy, but with caveats - The room was very small, but nice and clean. The AC worked fine (quiet). It is on a busy street and the fact that our room, #1, was right next to it made it noisy. Parking is a problem with only 7 spots for more than that number of rooms. We were told upon arrival that we could either park on the nearby neighborhood street or in the parking lot of the next door Animal hospital but only from 6pm to 8am.

• christinagO6110MD (10/5): Love this place - We gathered three families here to celebrate a wedding (well, an elopement) and the Agave Inn was wonderfully accommodating. It's quiet, beautifully decorated, always has nice warm lighting, parking is easy, and the front desk staff are absolutely lovely. From the heated floors in the bathroom to the chic shampoo/bodywash/lotion available, there are so many little touches that make this the very best at this price point. They do it right here. It's also walking distance from a Gelson's, a Trader Joes, and a Bristol Farms, if groceries on vacation is your thing. Love it here!
• baris evrim demiroz (8/5): Clean, cozy room - I know this is a debated one but the lights were actually warm and yellow, it didn't make it look cheap inside. Also the furniture choice was nice. Everything was clean. If there was a table or console under the TV that would be very convenient.

It could have easily fit another two people. Also the shower was very big and the kitchen was very clean. Would totally stay there again

Wendy, Katherine and the staff that I met were very helpful and polite. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend the Agave Inn.

• Traveler25725995243 (10/5): Cute and perfect for a quick trip! - Stayed at this cute little motel for a quick overnight stop in Santa Barbara. It is close proximity to Santa Barbara Mission and The Botanical Gardens. Beds were very comfy and pillows were as well. TV is not a Smart TV so you can't stream your favorite apps but there was cable and demand services that provided plenty of movies and shows. Room has fridge, microwave, and kettle with instant coffee and creamers. Walked to the plant shop across the street and bought a beautiful Birds of Paradise that I planted in my backyard. Also, enjoyed the grocery store across the way. It has a great selection of pre-made foods and a salad bar, as well as some yummy desserts!

The hotel is located in a convenient location that is near downtown Santa Barbara and a Gelson's supermarket. The hotel is located next to a fairly busy road and the sound of some drivers' modified car engines can be really loud and annoying when you're trying to sleep at night.

• doreenje123 (6/5): Some Good & Some Bad - The room had two beds and a sleeper sofa, a kitchenette and a bathroom with shower. The beds, kitchenette and bathroom with shower were fine. The sofa smelled bad and no one would sit on it much less sleep on it. The weather was cold and rainy. We looked forward to having a warm room. A sign directed guests to a heater that was in the closet. There was no heater and no closet. The front desk was closed and we were not able to get a portable heater. The room was cold. We were glad that the shower and hot water worked well. Fortunately it was a one night stay.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi speed was so poor I ended up tethering my phone for everything. The room also needed a little more storage, like drawers or a bigger wardrobe or something.

The location is close to shops, restaurants and freeway, the room was spotless and the decor inviting , the shower was huge, the bed very comfortable and with extra pillows. The TV, fridge, heater and AC in perfect order! I will definitely stay there again and have already told my friends how lovely of a place this was. I felt safe and very comfortable. I spend five nights there. A special mention to Wendy. I’ll be back!!!!

• RoamerJ (10/5): Simply wonderful! - The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and the beds comfortable; I have a bad back, so that was a big benefit. Hardwood floors— which Agave Inn has— are a must for us: no chemical odor from carpet cleaning; no dust or whatever might have been spilled on a carpet. Also? The price was much more reasonable than so many lodgings in Santa Barbara. All in all, an enjoyable experience!

While the room is a tiny bit rough around the edges (like water damage on the bathroom ceiling), it's great where it counts. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets and towels were soft, the room was very clean, and there were thoughtful touches. You can tell the owners/managers care about their guests. I appreciated receiving a code when my room was ready so I didn't have to return for a key within the office's open hours. For these positives, along with the price point and location, it's definitely a place I'd return to.
• Inspiration2004 (10/5): A delightful and economical place to stay in Santa Barbara - This is about the fourth time that I have stayed at the Agave Inn and I will return again. This small motel is in a good location and close to many sights in Santa Barbara. It has a fantastic Gelson's market across the street for all eating and drinking supplies. Other restaurants are close-by. The Agave Inn is economical by Santa Barbara standards. It is charming, safe, comfortable and quiet, has a friendly staff and is very clean and well-maintained. It is worth mentioning that I had accidentally left some clothes in a drawer when I left and the staff sent a text within a half hour to let me know so I was able to go back and retrieve them.

• ekutch (8/5): Great place to stay in Santa Barbara - I was staying in Santa Barbara for a weekend to attend a rowing clinic at Cajun’s Lake in Santa Ynez. The Agave was the perfect location, easily accessible to the 101 freeway and in a neighborhood with great restaurants , shops and stores. And the Agave was clean, quiet and comfortable, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.
• A2658MPstevenh (2/5): Money driven don’t care about customer service. - HORRIBLE customer service. I booked a stay for a night in October. Or so I thought. I tried to call and correct this is take over 10 times to the number listed online and no one answered. In fact the phone rang and rang and then someone would pick up and hang up. When I finally got a hold of someone well over 16+ hours it was extremely hard to communicate with them. In the end they said they wouldn’t honor my request to fix the mistake, even though they weren’t sold out and my reservation was over a month away. They said the called me from a different number (which is true) at 1030 pm and didn’t get an answer. Which is also true because like most people I get up very early for work. I would stay away horrible customer service and even worse empathy.

• OnAir54763660636 (4/5): Never choosing this place again. - Not a very good stay. 1. It wasn’t clean. There were dust bunnies on the floor and spiderwebs on the windows. 2. There was neither a closet nor drawers for clothes. Only a clothes rack in a corner. There was one suitcase rack (that was kind of hidden behind the clothes rack, didn’t see it til day 2) but we had 2 suitcases so we had to use the sofa as a luggage rack which meant the sofa was unusable as a place to sit. The office staff barely spoke English. I asked them if anyone had turned in a pair glasses in a black case. They offered me drinking glasses. The beds were uncomfortable. The street noise woke us up at 4 am even though we had all the windows closed.
