- Nair (10/5): - Great hotel in easy location with just a short walk to the town. Very spacious room. All staff from front desk to restaurant staff went above and beyond in making the stay pleasant. Great size pool in a tropical garden setting. Included light continental breakfast was great to start the day. Restaurant has good selection of food and drinks. Would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The proximity to town, and the staff made us welcome, I would stay here again when I return for a holiday.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I stayed one night and was not disappointed at all. I enjoyed everything, but was wondering if they could lessen the chlorine in the swimming pool. But all in all, I enjoyed the stay.
- Christopher (6/5): What do you expect from a small island country? - The property is comparable to a Travelers Lodge. Clean but with very little accommodations in the rooms. I had an issue with 2 mosquitoes that kept me up for a good part of the night...the ceilings were painted a dark color so i had trouble finding them (they, on the other hand, had an easy time of finding me)! The restaurant onsite was nice...not air conditioned. The staff was quite responsive. There are beautiful flowers in the garden and pool area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall good, clean and easily accessible hotel. Everything is perfect. Nothing to complain
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice pool, walk to town, clean...staff helpful. Breakfast basic, get a room on the ground floor for a pool room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Place - Very close to town, clean, helpful staff would highly recommend - good food.
- Diccon (8/5): Good value at a nice hotel - Second time here as still busy as good. But still noisy from the road and building site. Lovely staff and good value
- Diccon (6/5): Nice friendly hotel but noisy all night - We had mixed feelings about our stay here. Very friendly staff, very clean simple rooms, good value restaurant. Also an easy walk to the town centre. But it is noisy with a busy road, construction site next door, rowdy guests and late night noise from the port across the bay. And the friendly staff could be more helpful eg with advice for car rentals. All they did was give us leaflets and tell us to call different companies. The one we ended up with, Samoana, was terrible. Plus the WiFi is expensive and slow.
- MexiLoco (8/5): - Nice, small hotel on the edge of town. The staff was all smiles and eager to help, especially Luisa. The room was large and clean and the water pressure in the shower was great. Seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists staying there. Really wanted to like the restaurant but the food was just so-so.
- Donna (8/5): Great location ... helpful staff! - Great stay ... beautiful swimming pool ... helpful staff ... excellent food at the restaurant!! Spacious rooms and lovely and clean.
- Judith (8/5): Nice hotel close to town but away from noice - Friendly staff, close to town, our favourite dish, the poke, beautiful landscaped garden and pool outside your room
- Lynette (8/5): Clean and Nice hotel close to town - Restaurant has great food. Reasonable prices, close to town and shops. Staff were helpful.
- Peter (10/5): Great place - close to everything - I was staying with friends who had been there before , Staff were really helpful . Really enjoyed the dining - good menu , great service . The pool saw plenty of me during my stay .
I was very impressed by the cleaner who looked after my room , if I was still in the room she was happy to clean around me unfortunately I wasn't able to find her on check-out as I intended to leave a tip . Hopefully catch up when I next stay there
- Joe (8/5): Close to shops - An excellent hotel to stay in if you want to stay in town. The staff are friendly and helpful.
- vic (8/5): Very comfortable hotel near the centre of Apia - Modern 3 story hotel in excellent condition 10 min ftom the centre of Apia on a narrow peninsula. No elevator but the 'boy' carries your luggage. Fruit breakfast is included dinner menu basic but good value.
- Janice (10/5): Friendly clean hotel. - Comfortable beds, good water pressure and hot water, walking distance to town, secure environment, very friendly staff. Good value for money. Great view from top floor. No elevater, but easy stairway.
- Keani (8/5): Good - Overall happy with the trip. I love the food. I like the peace and quiet so this hotel suits me well. The receptionist should be more knowledgeable with the hotel amenities. The only negative thing I would say is how often the sheets are changed. We were there for a week and it was the same sheetd and pillow cases. I'd still recommend to others.
- Warwick (10/5): Great hotel and close to Apia - We couldn't be happier with our stay at the Amanaki. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds and lounge. Great size balcony overlooking the pool and Apia Harbour. The staff were fantastic and we will be back.
- john & susie (8/5): Great spot very close to downtown Apia - Friendly staff good pool great downtown location very good value restaurant
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing customer service and great hotel overall - Great customer service and would highly recommend to everyone! Cliche I know but once you stay there you'll know what I mean. With the price we paid per night and with what Amanaki had to offer we are definetly planning our next trip to stay at amanaki. My kids (aged 9 months, 7 & 8), my husband and I spent a week at Amanaki and cannot praise enough about the great customer service we had received. Staff were warm & welcoming as we'd be greeted each time we saw them with a smile, assistance or with a chat. Because we were travelling with kids I was worried about breakfast, lunch and dinner but there was nothing to worry about at all!!!! The hotel restaurant is amazing! The restaurant is sooo good that it gets busy for lunch and dinner each day with people from the public dining there as the food is that great! A true testament of how good the restaurant is. The food tastes soooo good, nice range of dishes to choose from, the prices of each dish are reasonable and does not skimp on the amount of food on the plate. Their tropical breakfast is different each morning and there is a breakfast menu for hot breakfast dishes. Our room was located conveniently on the ground floor beside the pool. Rooms are large and clean. The hotel is conveniently located in Apia City near the markets and the new large modern playground that was opened last year beside the sea. Great for the kids! Definetly miss Amanaki and look forward to going back!
- Patsy (8/5): Very pleasant hotel close to all amenities. - The Amanaki Hotel is very well run, the staff are extremely helpful & courteous. The room was spacious & clean.
The restaurant that is attached provides a good menu & a free continental breakfast. The pool is clean & very inviting, the garden is lush & well maintained.
I would definitely recommend the Amamaki Hotel to family & friends.
- Daniel (10/5): Modern hotel near middle of Apia - The hotel is modern with large rooms all facing the pool and Apia harbour. Staff are very friendly, facilities are clean and plenty of car parking out the back.
- judith (8/5): - very relaxing
room spacious, bathroom spacious. view from ground level absolutely lovely with both the garden & pool in view
air con was so lovely and cold, that we had to move from one spot to the other if we were in the room for too long
restaurant and bar just outside the room, a big plus
- kolofee (6/5): Nice hotel - Pros: customer service was excellent! Room made up daily. Close to town for shopping. Simple breakfast. Delicious food at the restaurant e.g. poke. Coffee/tea making facilities available, fridge in room.
Cons: aircon unit not strong enough. Aircon unit faces beds so can be directly in your face. Toilet seat moves (like it doesn't actually fit on the bowl). TV channel - only one channel is clear.
- Helen (10/5): lovely stay - The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also knowledgeable about buses, getting taxi hire for the day, advising us on sightseeing, prices and so on. Nothing was too much trouble. Food nice. Amenities clean and comfortable. Location is excellent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable hotel, ideally located to explore Samo - Best to tell you about the negatives. Too many positives. Only one wardrobe for a full family. ( 2 adults and 3 kids staying 11 nights) Bottled water only provided on FIRST nights stay (2 bottles) No juice or water provided at the complimentary continental breakfast. A couple of sun loungers could do with updating. Other than that a superb hotel for the $ spent.
Restaurant very popular with locals, Friday dinner is really busy. Free snacks at every table and happy hr. Meal and drink prices good. (Pure beer 5 tala, aggie greys over 12 tala !!!!) Service excellent. Poke DELICIOUS.
We hired a car which we made the most of exploring the island and driving to restaurants at night. Hint.....it may be lovely and sunny in Apia but once you get over the range it can be pouring down.
We took one full case of old clothes to give to the locals in the villages. Our feel good moment of the holiday.
If your walking down the harbour wall towards the bus station watch out for the boatramp, about 100m b4 the station. Where it is wet, its very slippy, which my 1st son found out on the short 5min walk to town and ended up in the water. My 2nd son wanted to find out how slippy it was on the way back, "yes" , ended up in the water too.
Market basically sells clothes. Dont pay over 20 tala each. I heard one lady she paid 70 in a shop !
Nice marine reserve on others side of harbour and the sound of drums you will hear come from the Waka which is raced on the water most afternoon's and evening.
- lisa (8/5): friendly staff and good environment - Room was clean and air conditioned. However the moana tv did not work in our room. Cable tv guy came and fixed it and it worked for less than an hour. Continental breakfast was ok with fruit toast and cereal, but same every day. Very friendly staff that gave good advice.
- Greg (8/5): Nice - Comfortable. One of the beret places to stay in Samoa.
- Kaz (10/5): - Lovely hotel. Best restaurant. Great location. Would highly recommend.
