Guest Reviews
- Jonathan (8/5): -
- Eleanor (7/5): I didn’t check reviews, maybe I should have. - Friendly reception good location. Could have put a little more attention to the cleaning., specifically the bathroom. Bare minimum was available for breakfast and no pool.
- Schultz (5/5): -
- Masteller (8/5): -
- Sharon (8/5): Good enough. - Clean. Good shower. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Would have liked some eggs and bananas.
- Tom (9/5): - No protein available. Should have a meat . Adjustable shower head was non functional. Stuck on spray and was extremely harsh. Could have sliced a brick. Should be replaced.
- Allen (2/5): -
- Debra (9/5): - The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. I also liked the refrigerator. I wish it had a coffee maker.
- Aaliyah (8/5): This place exceeded all expectations. - I like that it was very clean . They communicated was top tier. If you on a budget and want a clean place to stay while you visit I say pick them . Nothing
- Tiffany (5/5): It was okay. - Great customer service. No towels in my room.
- Straub (8/5): -
- Merlin (10/5): For the price, I was very satisfied. - I liked having access to the parking lot and to the inside corridor. I liked the keyless entry door system. Key cards worked very good. The room, vanity, and bathroom were clean and smelled good. The bed slept good. TV had lots of channels. Did not have to listen to noise from other rooms. Liked the microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast had a good choice of food to eat for the economical price I paid for the room. I liked the convenient location to the stores and fast food restaurants on the west side of Norfolk. Bathroom could have had one more wash cloth and face towel.
- Gerald (9/5): Very convenient. - Location was great, there wasn't for breakfast but that's okay. Not much.
- Tyler (7/5): -
- Mike (9/5): -
- Kevin (5/5): - Bed was confortable To much light coming in around doors, no secondary lock on door.
- Dan (9/5): -
- barb (10/5): - This is not a fancy hotel. However, it was very clean, well kept and the staff was friendly to us. We requested an early check-in so we could prepare for a 3:00 wedding. They were very nice about making that change for us. We would gladly stay there again.
- Tia (6/5): - Room was clean. Front desk Rep very nice and friendly.
- Ivy (6/5): - Pool and hot tub out of order. No coffee maker, no hair dryer
- Dale (4/5): Not going to stay there again - Beds were comfortable No chain lock on door , took long time to get hot water, towels were poor quality, tape over hole on bath tub, tiny bathroom, dirty room, and smells in room flared up my allergies causing me to be stuff up
- Don (6/5): - Ok
- Mary (8/5): Comfortable and clean - Beds were comfortable, clean. Dated rooms and paints
- Jon (10/5): -
- Jennifer (6/5): - Nice place. If your ghetto
- Linda (8/5): - It was a good hotel for our quick stay in norfolk without spending a ton of money!!! Close to all of the places we needed to go!
- Timothy (8/5): Great. - The room appears to have been remodeld.
- Troy (1/5): - Ummm The exterior of the place was trashy trash cans over flowing with garbage inside smelled like moth balls. Couldn't stay there didnt trust the room and found a different hotel that night.
- Jennifer (6/5): -
- Jean (7/5): - Clean
- Mike (7/5): -
- Ambroz (7/5): Good -
- Dawn (4/5): Disappointing - Location Pretty dirty, needs updates, sheets not so clean. No bugs, thank God.
- Don (6/5): - Very musty smell.
Breakfast fine if you only need toast and cereal (okay, there was a waffle machine).
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional - Loved parking right outside my door, quiet comfortable room.
- Johnna (10/5): Christian Cross Festival. - The friendliness of the staff who work the front desk. The quietness at night. The room was clean comfort to be in. I slept amazingly in the comfortable bed. The breakfast area was nice and clean, plus you had a variety of items you could choose from. The shower had great pressure when I took a shower. There really isn't anything I didn't like but my husband said he wished the room had a small coffee machine in it.
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional - Was very quiet, able to park right outside my room. Nothing
- paige (10/5): - The person who was in charge and checked me into the room was amazing. He made sure we knew the rules and asked if we needed anything. The hotel was clean and quiet. One of the better stays in norfolk for sure.
- Barb (8/5): Very good -
- Lytle (9/5): Superb - Very clean rooms. Accommodating staff.
Affordable.
- constance (8/5): - My only complaint was the pathetic piece of soap we got to wash with. Didn't even make it through a shower.
- Diane (10/5): Clean comfortable quiet reasonable rates - Room was very clean, friendly staff, parking lot well lit, parking in front of room door. Quiet, very comfortable, felt very safe. No Complaints
- Alassandra (10/5): Perfect - The hotel was amazing and the staff were very welcoming and kind
- Rodriguez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (1/5): Bad - Holes in shower covered with duck tape
- Anderson (4/5): Disappointing - Booked 2 queen beds once laying on the beds they felt like full size bed especially with 2 bigger people laying in one bed was not the best experience.
- Lily (8/5): - Not a bad place to stay was clean. Just a bit outdated is all
- Arnold (7/5): It was OK. - Older place but the rooms have been updated. It wasn’t busy, yet we were put in a room next to a work crew that was obviously staying there for a job and were kinda noisy.
- Becky (6/5): Pleasant - Location No hot water
- Matthew (8/5): - The room. Peace and quiet
- Luis (8/5): - Clean and easy checking in
- G (9/5): Superb - Clean and good for the price.
- Hazey (2/5): Avoid at all cost - Horrible place to stay. The staff is rude and told us to leave the lobby as we were trying to find a different place to stay. The guy working the front desk has no respect for anyone.
- Pamela (7/5): Good - The room was clean, nice looking & there were plenty of lights. It’s behind an auto dealership and is hard to get to in the dark.
- Trent (4/5): Not good - Room was dirty I had a door that was a outside exit and the lock didn’t work most of the time the bathroom door had been punched by somebody and who went to the front desk I couldn’t find anybody
- Molly (8/5): Overall for the value it was a pleasant stay & would stay again if needed. - Stayed 2 nights to be close to family member in the hospital. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable & linens fresh smelling. Nice hot shower. Did not request maid services but was provided with fresh towels. Older place but for the price it had what I needed to be able to relax & rest. Was quiet. After some freezing rain, the sidewalks were a bit slick. Could have used some ice melt to prevent someone from falling.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Didn’t feel safe - exercise room closed permanently per sign.
- Deborah (8/5): - Area around property outside
- Terry (8/5): Great budget motel, Will keep it in mind for next time. - Night clerk was friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, nice sized room. The breakfast was good, had hot waffles and a selection of other items, ranging from cereal, to yogurt, to sweet rolls and bananas. Orange or apple juice. Goof breakfast for a budget motel. Shower had good water pressure, took a bit for the shower to get hot, but it did. Could have used a riser on the shower head, I have that issue in several motels, I'm 6' 3" tall. It would be nice to have more outlets to plug electronics in since we live in a day when we have several.
- Diana (8/5): good bed, enough plugins. -
- Joe (8/5): Great modern budget motel - The 1 queen room was not small. It was clean and comfortable and very well furnished, but it did have a small bathroom. No luggage cart but the owner’s son personally directed us to a room with an outside door for easy access. The family that manages this place takes pride in it.
- Sajid (10/5): - Good
- Jenna (6/5): Ok for a one night stay on budget. There are many nicer places around for slightly more money. - I didn't like being asked multiple times if I had a pet when I answered no. The rooms are outdated, the bathtub was not clean and the drain stopper was stuck shut in the sink.
- Matthew (10/5): - The staff was great!
- Jeffrey (4/5): Nothing special - It was a place to lay my head down Better breakfast, better smelling room,
- Gregory (10/5): Hidden gem of Norfolk - I stay here every time I come to Norfolk if they have a room. The upkeep of the property is amazing and always feels fresh and clean in many visits over a ten year period.
- Edward (10/5): - .
- Drew (8/5): - Quiet.
Priced a bit high for basics room.
No amenities or landscaping.
- Joseph (8/5): - Had trouble with dryer and they let us use industrial dryer and were immediately repairing customer dryer. Service oriented people.
- Matthew (7/5): Comfortable but the staff was extremely nosey and rude. - The staff were very rude and demanding. They demanded that at no time would anyone else be allowed to enter OUR room. They instructed this at check in and advised they would charge $20 person and then they would then kick us out if he the hotel.
- Nicole (10/5): - Good place to sleep
- Johnna (8/5): Christian Festival weekend - The quietness and location. The staff are always nice when we check in. They even called to ask when we would arrive. The bed was comfy. I like the way you got access to the outside with a door where you don't need to go through the hotel. We hung maid serves on inside door to get clean towels for the next day and they did not come into our room.
- Paula (8/5): Very good -
- Essig (5/5): Passable - We didn't eat, we were up and gone before it was served. N/a
- Emily (7/5): Good -
- Jerre (4/5): Disappointing -
- Matthew (7/5): Good - Always great staff there!! Very, very loud group of people in the parking lot after hours!!!
- Cathy (8/5): Very good - Bed was very comfortable. No elevator
- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Todd (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly staff. Breakfast could be expanded
- Matthew (8/5): - The staff
- Jeff (6/5): It was ok - The place was clean kinda outdated no coffee in the room which kinda sucks but was quick trip clean room pillows where not good.. desk help was friendly and helpful.. decent place for the money
- Linda (10/5): Great value for the money - Spotlessly clean room. Easy access from the parking lot.
- Bianca (7/5): Good -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Kristy (4/5): Disappointing - Bed too soft. TV not plugged in
- Deanne (4/5): Not good - Bath didn’t work. Furniture outdated with stains. Charged my card at check in not checkout. Would not recommend.
- Andrew (10/5): - Overall it was a good stay. Nice and friendly staff. Everything was clean. Room overall was nice. Breakfast ear was clean with standard continental breakfast offerings.
Pool is permanently closed and no coffee in the room but there was coffee in the breakfast area.
- Chase (10/5): - Very friendly staff rooms are clean and comfortable
- Gina (10/5): - Nice place to stay, will stay again.
- Edward (7/5): Good -
- Charlotte (8/5): Worked well for a quiet stay. - Nice motel, clean, quiet and beds were fine. Nice TV and refrigerator worked.
Kind of odd that the only way in was through the front doors; you could not enter from the parking lot as those doors were kept locked. Pool and spa were permanently closed.
- Arlen (4/5): You pretty much get what you pay for. - The location was okay/good. The breakfast was acceptable. The room had a lot (at least 10) flies and was dated.
- Jamie (5/5): Appreciated the value room when we had to emergency travel for family but doubt we stay again. - Cheap Did not feel especially safe in the parking lot-lots of people just loitering
- Billy (8/5): Very good - The staff is helpful and understanding I arrived early in Norfolk and they let me check in with no problem. Very hospitable.
- Luciano (6/5): - Old hotel but nice and quite place. The staff is great!
- Jennifer (6/5): - Property very outdated. Everything looked old. Parking lot in very rough shape. Holes in shower wall covered with black tape. Shower head hung for the height of a child. Small TV. Staff was very nice.
- Kendal (8/5): - Kind and helpful staff
- Pruitt (7/5): Good -
- Lindsey (8/5): - My child couldn’t take a bath because the shower head was forced up. Overall decent place. Pool is outside.
