- David (10/5): Perfect staff and seafront location - great staff and location for my needs, i have already extended my stay and will rebook for next month
- Ping (10/5): - The Red Balcony Inn is on the Beach St with easy access to the beach and 2min walk to walking street. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. I had a room with a balcony and excellent view of the beach. Room is clean and comfortable. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next trip.
- andy (8/5): - Good place to stay
- RITESH (2/5): - No service staff no man power owner is too rud no lift
- ryan (10/5): - Great bed, cheap shower, useable balcony at my room, and nice staff.
it was in a great location but it would be idea for gay guests as its right by the gay bar area and a ton of trannies are nearby too.
- gorazd (10/5): - Charming room
- Derrick (10/5): - Right now the beach. Room patio leads to the rooftop deck and it overlooks the beach. Lovely views all day long.
- Nesat (10/5): Lokasyon mükemmel - Lokasyon mükemmel, Asansör yok
- Brian (10/5): - I liked everything friendly staff hotel is close to beach nice view will definitely stay again
- Alfredo (10/5): - Excellent location, clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff. If you are on the third or fourth floor you will have very beautiful views of the sea and the coastal avenue. Very close to Walking Street.
Recommended.
- Ian (8/5): - Hotel Manager Tum was fantastic!
- Jayson (8/5): - Very clean. Beach front & close to walking street.
- Jayson (8/5): - Nice rooms close to walking street. Very helpful staff.
- Ichiro (10/5): - The hotel's balcony is quite nice. I bought coffee and some food at the Seven Eleven and ate at the balcony every morning. The sun set is very beautiful from the balcony. One big problem is that the heat from air conditioner of rooms are sent to the Balcony. So it is good in the morning but very hot in the afternoon or in the evening.
Staffs are nice and the room price is low. It is located in the convenient area of Pattaya.
- Geraldine (8/5): - Hotel convenient for beach and nightlife. Room good but curtains could do with a wash or replacing. Staff extremely friendly and helpful
- Tony (10/5): - Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Hotel manager helped carry our luggage and negotiate a fare with a random taxi to our next hotel.
- Fatee (8/5): - Nice location. A little bit worn down and no elevators a big minus.
- Brian (10/5): - Perfect view and location 👌
- Jonas (10/5): - Good place.Everything is close,very confortable.
- Sebastian (8/5): - Great spot for a short night rest and place in a convenient spot. Its okay spot if you packed light but if you have a couple heavy luggages and have a room up the stairs, it is going to be leg workout.
- Mohammed (8/5): Balcony is the Star for The Red Balcony. - The location of the Hotel is Amazing, which located few steps away from Walking Street and Balcony of my room facing Beach is breath taking.
This hotel didn't have lift, i am staying @ 4th floor, its really v uncomfortable climbing stairs every time to my room is v annoying.
- Raffaele (8/5): - No safe in the room
Did offer to change the room but not till the next day very inconvenient
Main light not working asked if I wanted it changed of course I said yes
No lift
Wifi inconsistent
- Hubert (10/5): - Front desk was helpful
- CoffeeChillTV (10/5): Flexible service, comfy room, central location = excellent - The Red Balcony Inn provided me with warm hospitality during a recent short stay in among the hustle and bustle of Pattaya City. The hotel has old school charm with its 70's style decor. The property fronts both Soi 13/4 and Beach Rd, with rooms options to suit one's preference, as available. I chose a super comfortable corner unit at the Soi 13/4 end of the building, it delivered extra privacy and less noise, as well as sea glimpse. There is a large communal balcony overlooking the beach, that all guests can use and it provides excellent views. A highly enjoyable short stay for yours truly, at this friendly, boutique accommodation house.
- Eric (8/5): - Easy walk to entertainment/dinning/shopping. Room could use better door locks.
- AnkurU25 (2/5): Horrible experience - Hotel reception Lady in morning and night is not at all supports customer, attitude of hotel staff is worst which makes your stay uncomfortable, we booked suit room but hotelier provided us lower category room in hotel because they already booked suit in high prices and then nobody listen for refund or replacement of room for which i paid, I was totally feeling myself helpless..thinking before go to that hotel.
- Oleg (2/5): Hotel from hell - Pros: Good location
Cons: The room is outdated, first thing you notice when you enter the room is smell of mould. Airconditioning is very loud and you can't change the temperature. Also loud noise from outside as there is a big road just next to it. Extremely rude and unhelpful staff. Killed a big cockroach in the bathroom. Can't stop thinking if this creature was running all over me during the night.
Avoid.
- Intetics (2/5): Hotel from hell - The room is outdated, the first thing you notice when you enter the room is smell of mould. Air conditioning is very loud and you can't change the temperature. Also loud noise from outside as there is a big road and bars just next to it. Extremely rude and unhelpful staff. I killed a big cockroach in the bathroom. Can't stop thinking if this creature was running all over me during the night. And it was a Superior Room!
Avoid.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Black mold on room ceiling other then that good location right at the beginning of walking st
- Stephen (10/5): Overcharged - The hotel was fine. The problem was with Hotels.com because they overcharged me. I paid 1,200 baht per night and discovered that the walk in price was 900 baht per night. Hotels.com advertises that they will save you money but that is not true
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This my second time at the read balcony hotel great location comfortable room
nice staff I highly recommend this hotel is in the center of everything
- NATURE TOURS (8/5): CUSTOMER FOCUS MUST BE IMPROVED - This was my 2nd stay with this property in last 7 months time., Booked and Stayed at Suite room. The location wise perfect, Very near to beach, In and around transportation, Restaurant wise all the facilities are good. Staffs must be trained properly. I have requested for 3 hours late checkout at the time of booking itself through hotels.com. When i do the check in requested but they refused they asked me to make the payment of THB 1000 additional for 3 hours., In fact most of the rooms are empty due to lean season. Considering the request or not is there wish., But they must be polite with the guest not to be rude. They must be educated over and above communication level is too low. They asked me to check out by 1200hrs., Exactly 1200hrs checked out and waited for 3 hours at reception. They are not even ready to on the fan when i was sitting at the lobby. I have booked and paid for my Oct 19 travel for the same suite room., I realized not to worth stay at this property due to which cancelled my booking.
- Ryan (8/5): Great view. - Very nice hotel near walking street. I had a room with a balcony looking into the ocean. It was very nice and for me was not very loud. I would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location is within easy walking distance of the night life.
- Scott (10/5): 1st time in Pattaya - Was my 1st trip to Pattaya, I was lucky enough to pick this place.
The location is great, room was big, comfortable bed and there’s a nice ocean view from the 2nd floor deck.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Outstanding property on beach road - I have stayed in the suite room which is sea facing also there is so big and comfortable. From the property only the 50 meters beach which really amazing. Also there will be the open space with shelter to sit and view the beach and the beach road activities. I really love the property and i would strongly recommend this property to my friends and the clients as well.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I have booked the hotel room last minute. There is no nearby parking for guest who have car. Check in the hotel late with difficulty to check at reception. However, hotel is very near to Pattaya Walking Street.
- Stephen (10/5): - Hotel is in an excellent location and is nice for the price.
- Kari (6/5): Small hotel in Pattaya city - Small hotel in Pattaya city
- Verified traveler (8/5): beklentiniz yüksek değilse - keyifli idi
- debbiedavey (2/5): Do not stay...thieving staff - We put our GoPro in our safe in our room before we went out at night but the next morning it was gone, I informed front desk who said they’ll check cctv. I said it had to be someone with access to the safe so it had to be one of the staff. Two hours of them looking on cctv and us hanging around them I sad just get the police as it’s a theft, the lady on front desk started saying a may not even have a GoPro or I’ve misplaced, I said staff must have it and if I get it back I’ll not involve police and forget incident..i said for her to come to my room and look with me...two staff came to my room to look and one went to my empty safe and pulled out my GoPro saying here it is saying I not look properly...I know it wast there for the two hours we were looking as I checked several times....I’m lucky I got it back, dodgy place and AVOID
- RAHUL (8/5): Good hotel - Excellent location.
No lift in the hotel. So if you have a room on the 4th floor , you are out of luck. Right on beach street.
3 minutes from action , walking street.
Good AC , wifi. Big room. Comfortable
- alisterl7 (8/5): Great Option in Pattaya - This hotel is well located right on the waterfront near Walking St. Free wifi and clean and tidy, if not luxurious. Surrounded by great restaurants including wonderful seafood restaurants right by the water. Very relaxing in a crazy busy town. Can get boat rides to Kho Lan from right across the street.
- Stephen (10/5): - Hotel is very nice and is located very near the walking street entertainment district.
- Choo (6/5): Good Location - Pick up this hotel because of the location, just 5min from walking street. The room are alright, only water heater not working thru out my stay. As the hotel do not have a lift, do not get to drunk. Or else you might roll down from stair.
- VishalJaggi (6/5): Dicy - - points -
No lift , no bell boy, irritating staff, not helpful staff, rude recieptionist, No breakfast.
+ points-
Suits are ocean facing.
9-11 is right outside.
Massage centre is downstairs.
Walking street is 2-3 mins walk.
Money exchange is almost downstairs.
So da location is gud , but management is bad.
- Gavin (8/5): Pattaya OK - If you want to be close to walking street or the beach it is wonderful.
Room was comfortable enough additional cleaning in the bathroom wouldn't go amiss.
Staff were helpful but hotel has very few facilities, but probably due too many other establishments offering food etc around.
Security other than closing the door there was no additional security.
- vickyksh (6/5): Superb Location - I have stayed here several times because of beach facing superb location
Big balcony on first floor only
Near to walking street
clean rooms try to catch their sea facing first floor sweet rooms
Disadvantage is:
Day time Receptionist is very very rude, better don't talk with her you don't know what she will reply badly.
She is crazy girl. But night time receptionist is good.
No lift at this hotel so better try book first floor room.
No breakfast facility available at this hotel
No swimming pool
I can stay here again if day time receptionist changed
- drie86 (6/5): Great location - Clean sheets, clean bathroom, free wifi would give it 4 stars but no lift and no free breakfast. I got this room after going to walking street guest house much better experience. They do change a joiner fee for those who been to pattaya you know what that is. I didn't come for that lol.
- gerry (8/5): Lovely small hotel right on beach - Lovely clean room friendly helpful staff. Great location
- John (10/5): - This a great place for people who want to be able to experience nearby Walking Street but prefer a slightly more quiet location to sleep. The staff was friendly and the room was fine. Overall, a very good value. I would stay again.
- vickyksh (4/5): Awesome location - Hotel location is superb
Sea facing very big balcony
walking street only 100 meters away
Rooms are clean
Bathroom ok little small,
Only disadvantage is no lift in this hotel
I have stayed here many times will stay again
- Verified traveler (8/5): great for price and location - Great for the price. No restaurant, but not a problem, many nearby. Small Room balcony overlooking street, large common balcony overlooking beach road. Spacious room
- Edward (6/5): Basic but decent - One night here for the Bucks night so didn't spend much time in the room. It was a basic, budget hotel on Beach Road chosen purely on price and location. It was good for both.
It's a basic hotel that's a little worse for wear, but it delivered exactly what it promised and was fine for what I wanted. Has no real facilities so it's a room-only arrangement. Be handy for people who don't want to hang around a hotel and want to get out and sightsee/party.
- lasanthap2015 (8/5): Nice little Inn with great staff! - This our 6th visit to the Red Balcony in in the last 3 years and we keep patronizing this location because of the warmth we have experienced over there from the time of check - in. This is Inn is situated at the most strategic location on Beach road with 1 minute walk to walking street, many eateries, malls, massage centers etc.
- Jimmyh111984 (8/5): Perfect location nice clean rooms - Awesome place to stay. Very clean. Located a stones throw from walking street and directly over the road from the beach. Great views from some apartments. Only negative was the wifi was pretty slow and a tad on the expensive side. Would def recommend for a couple looking for a really nice place to stay in a great location! Walking distance to heaps of cool things.
- Solotraveler974 (8/5): Great location! - I've stayed at this hotel several times in the last 4 years and will come back again because of its location:150 m from Walking Street, many street eateries and restaurants, shopping centres within one mile radius, massage parlours, market about 600m...I found the staff a bit reserved at first but became friendly when you get to know them.Their English is relatively limited, especially for a hotel reception of an 'international'city such as Pattaya, which I don't mind so much since I can make my way around in Thai language by now.Be aware that certain policies (numbers of e-keys given, room prices...)can vary according to the person at the reception.Beware of the tailors close to this hotel...There are bikes ranging from scooters to 1000cc to rent opposite the entrance(leave passport). There's no lift...I think value for money is relatively good for this class of hotel.just don't come with too high expectations but it's enough to enjoy your stay in Pattaya!
- boatingtraveler (6/5): Good location, need's upgrade - The red balcony is well located on beach road. Unfortunately, the room's need a little work that would make your stay more comfortable. The bed was worn out and uncomfortable. The plumbing and toilet seat were loose, and the room was in need of a good cleaning. A good shower curtain would also stop the water from getting on the floor each use. A new bed, and a couple hours work would make a difference to this hotel.
- 424jinals (2/5): Front desk girl is pathetic !! - The worst hotel i have ever visited till date...the location is good enuff...but its full of mosquitos...d worst thing is dat the front desk girl is tooo rude !! Would never reccomend thing hotel to anyone !! Please dont even go for enquiries !!
- Dezign99 (8/5): Location Location Location!!! - I would normally stay at 4 or 5 star establishments, however, from time-to-time I would stay at the Red Balcony Inn, which is in the region of a 3 star in Thailand. The location is hard to beat. Situated a short walk from Walking and across the road from the beach, as well as a short walk to Royal Garden Plaza, the location is great. The establishment is also one street away from second road. There are many eateries nearby as well as mini-supermarkets and massage establishments.
The staff are friendly and very helpful.
The rooms are neat and some have great views of the beach and ocean.
I have visited this establishment on a number of occasions and will certainly spend time there, again, in future.
I would give it a 3.7 out of 5.
- Thailand69 (4/5): Never stay here again - I checked in to this place for 3 weeks, I had heavy luggage there is no lift there was not any attempt to help me take the luggage to the 4th floor, on going into the room it was quite dark as a lamp had gone I asked them to put a new bulb in several times still wasn't done when I left
I was constantly killing bugs, I left a packet of my duty free cigarettes on the table in the room when I returned they were gone,
Dismal experience
- Mully-UK (4/5): Still no hot water - Having came across this hotel towards the end of our 5 month travels we were keen to see what pattaya had to offer. After a long journey and a warm day we were really keen to get washed up and out site seeing due to our tight time schedule.
The room was spacious and clean with some nice furniture. The bed was very comfortable.
A great start. As it was late i rushed into the bath only to find the tap was fixed to shower option only. The shower to my dismay was quite cold. Unsure of any technical switch having tried for a while I called down to reception to ask their advice. Only to be promptly advised the night service manager was on his way up. Very quickly there was a knock at the door. After much attention I was told that he would be back. 30 mins later. I was keen to hear of any news but nothing. With much frustration I called back a number of times and finally an answer. Kind of. In my best polite fashion the same managers response was- it is not working! Now 60 minutes later I am assured of my initial findings were correct! More frustrating was I waited patiently to hear nothing and clearly would not have had a response. With much dismay I asked the obvious questions.... Is it just our room? Is it possible to quickly move rooms? 20 mins later we moved over the hall. As it seemed the water was hot. Only to find he initial burst was not maintained and now there was also a leak in the shower head which meant the pressure was non existent and also the head bracket was missing so holding the unit was the only option. Now 90 mins into the sager I am still not ready and neither is my partner. One phone call later up comes the same man with missing shower parts and tools in hand. 2 hours later the DIY is complete but still no hot water.
Needless to say we missed our dinner reservation at bruno's which we were very disappointed about.
Interestingly I did not hear the word sorry at any stage. A simple but effective word in the land of customer service I find. I did how ever get ignored on a number of occasions with a few walk offs to add to my joy.
For me language barriers are an issue when travelling Asia on some occasions and I totally understand that if there is no hot water there is none. So instead I will pose a question? Should you charge western prices if you cannot live up to expectations? I wait to hear from the manager tomorrow . Night all.
- patrickm52 (2/5): Might be worst customer service ever - Had to fight to get a second key to the room so we could leave the a/c on while we were out. front desk guy lied and said there were not multiple keys to the room and the next person that came on said we could have 2. Asked for another towel and they said no. They said you only get 2 towels per day. You will need the safes in the room; while we stayed there a man had robbed their front desk because both the guard and desk clerk were sleeping. we reserved a taxi to take us from the hotel to the airport the day prior with the understanding that we pay the taxi driver when he shows up. the next day the other front desk lady cancelled the taxi because we did not pay her. We waited outside for our taxi to arrive with our bags with the same lady at the dest that cancelled our taxi and she let us sit out there without saying anything until the taxi arrival time had come and gone. Big argument followed because i had a hand written receipt from her that says i paid 2000 baht for the taxi. She wrote on the paper that i had taxi to airport and the cost, date and paid stamped across it. We had to call the tourist police and ended up paying 2000 baht again for a mini van taxi that now arrived 40 mins after we needed to go to airport. We paid 1200 baht a night for our rooms when we checked in and the lady at the desk on checkout tried to charge all of us twice. If we had not produced our receipts we would have been charged twice.
- Shaun2634 (8/5): good, clean and friendly staff - Came back to Pattaya for Sonkran and stayed at The Red Balcony .This was my second stay. Like my last visit , i wasent disappointed . had a Balcony room .The location is good and a great price that cannot be beaten for its view and location .
Same lady at reception and Yes, she remember me from my last stay and yes, she was very friendly .
The room was clean and i have nothing negative to say about the place .
Can be a bit noisy at night but , hey ! this is Pattaya .
- sfraseruk (8/5): Good Clean Hotel,Great Location - This was my second stay at The Red Balcony Inn Hotel in Pattaya,
Great location, good price and clean good sized rooms.
Can get a little noisy at night as it is Yards from the famous Walking Street.
On the positive,it is directly next to the sea front!
Fantastic.
