Guest Reviews
- Anthony (6/5): - The property is dated, the grounds are well kept and the pool is inviting but very very cold. I was the only guest in the hotel. I booked online with no issue but when I checked in the owner insisted on cash only. I had the cash but not what I was expecting. There was not hot water to shower with. The bed is very old and uncomfortable you can feel every spring in the mattress. I would not recommend this hotel.
- rob (10/5): Genieten in Bagan - Een prima hotel. Ruime kamer, mooi zwembad, mooi ingericht, en een prima gevarieerd ontbijt. Met scooter tempels goed te bezichtigen. Restaurants in de nabije omgeving. Receptie erg behulpzaam.
- Brian (8/5): - Very comfortable public area with swimming pool, restaurant and bar
- Katie (10/5): - My husband and I really enjoyed this hotel - the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the property had beautiful grounds that were enjoyable to sit back and enjoy during the afternoon and evenings. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall great experience.
- Dustin (8/5): - Mesquitos are my only issue here. It’s hard in the area and having a motel set up but I often had to kill them in my room. Maybe a net for the bed would be nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very helpful staff- especially with hiring of the e-bikes and helping us get started on them
- MR J P (8/5): Comfortable Stay, Could be improved - My partner and I had a comfortable stay in Areindmar Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. They had rental e-bikes that were convenient to use.
I think the hotel could do with a refurbishment, the curtains, walls and items in the room were not clean. Also, the food was just average.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, room is spacious, and the reception staff are well-attentive, not to mention the driver and bell boys.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved our stay here, helpful staff, good breakfast, wonderful pool to cool down in after sightseeing
- Tamara (10/5): - This hotel has many features I appreciated. The bathrooms had wash cloths, which I love. The staff was very helpful and you can rent escooters right on the property, or a private taxi service. The location is great. I am directionally challenged but even I could find the main road to the temples and get back easily. The food in the restaurant was good and I enjoyed the puppet show, too. The pool is lovely and refreshingly cool after a long day on the scooter in the dust. There was a little construction work happening during the day, with noise coming from behind my room, but that is to be expected. The internet was down my entire last day, but I guess a big tree fell and repairs were being done. Overall, I loved this hotel and will stay there next time I go to Bagan. I will recommend it to my friends, as well.
- Leon (10/5): - Everything was perfect at this hotel, great location, friendly staff and lovely clean rooms. Wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.
- sonia (6/5): Ok - Room was a little musty. Ok pool and average breakfast
- Jane (8/5): - Great service. Easy location. Affordable and is good for the price range.
- Duncan (10/5): Great hotel in new Bagan - Enjoyed my time here. Lovely staff and the pool area was excellent. Room was spacious and tastefully furnished/decorated. The location of the hotel is very quiet and close to the main street of New Bagan. I did find that noise from rooms above/next to my room travelled a bit, but apart from that I can't fault the hotel and the excellent value I felt it was.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good value for money. Walking distance to New Bagan centre. No air conditioning in dinning area, got beaten by mosquitoes
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to restaurants and small markets, attractive setting.
- Flora (10/5): Wonderful staffs - Very helpful and friendly staffs although they speak very little English, but they will try to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and always greeted you with smiles.
- michael (10/5): - This hotel is great and is close to the rest of ton an easy to rent E-bike from here. The food in the restaurant is outstanding and the best I had while in Myanmar as a whole. Just a note, there was no hot water in my room. I am not sure if that was intentional because of the heat but even in intense heat I still love a hot shower. Also WIFI in rooms are available but almost non existent. I was only able to ever really connect in the lobby and it tends to go out a lot but that's everywhere in Bagan. The experience of this excellent hotel made me wish I had came here first. Outside porch on room 18 could be cleaner and more fixed up though and I notice in all Myanmar hotels I been to no one ever cleans the shower heads,There always dirty. Great hotel and great deal for money compared to other hotels in area.
- Adi (8/5): - Our overall experience was good. The staff are nice, our room was clean, and the hotel is well maintained. However, the breakfast was a little poor. Also, they were working on the pool’s deck during a whole day which made the water in the pool very dirty. They didn’t stop when they saw us sitting by the pool, only when we asked them to stop they did. Also, there aren’t many nice places to eat in that area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was very clean. warm staff and very nice rooms.
- Viola (10/5): - Very nice place, in a beautiful setting, with nice pool and great food.
- Linda (10/5): Beautiful hotel for a relaxing stay in New Bagan - This hotel is a gem, the garden and pool area are especially charming and the rooms are beutifully decorated. Communication was sometimes a little difficult but everyone was very friendly and we would definitely recommend this place for a nice relaxing stay in Bagan. The hotel offers e-bike rental for a very competitive price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful hotel, large room and great location off the dusty main road. Nice pool and helpful staff. Bed was extremely comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Boutique vibe. Breakfast / dining area looking over the pool. Excellent hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel was very fancy and clean. The bathroom was big. Very friendly staff.
- Frederick (8/5): Beautiful hotel!! Value, food, service, location - Away from the hustle of other busier areas, great value, beautiful gardens, very friendly staff, and good pool/bar area.
Cocktails are decent too.
Eat in or nice restaurants within walking distance, very safe feel to the area also.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Don’t know because we didn’t make it to the hotel due to our entry visa problem at the airport checking in and we requested Expedia agent to cancel 2 nights hotel there but Expedia failed and we lost our money!!
- Jason (10/5): This is the place to stay in Bagan - Don't let the rating fool you this is a 4 star property, not 3. Room are large and the grounds well kept. Really appreciate that they rent the evokes and car services at the same price as the other renters. Highly recommended.
- Jay (10/5): - Wow like a little osais. I would mot of expected this when i arrived, in Bagan. Great value for money and after a long hot day of temple hoping, perfrct.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Mostly great! - Great value for money! The staff was extremely helpful, including helping us change money when the ATM would not work for us. The hotel is in a great location for temple viewing and walking to good restaurants. The hotel rooms where large and mostly clean (dust in crevices and a musty smell, on the ground floor any way). The pool and breakfast area were beautiful, however the pool was ice-cold and over-chlorinated, so much so that we did not want to use it even in the hot 30 degree days. Breakfast was alright and did the job.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clise llclose to everything clean amd good service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Service is quick and also Staffs are very attentive to our needs
- Benjamin (10/5): Totally delightful - I absolutely loved my stay here at Areindmar. The grounds were lovely, the rooms spacious and immaculate. The restaurant was very nice...good selection of food and a well-stocked bar in addition. The location was great too. Tucked away on a side street with plenty of nearby places walkable. Truly, I had not a complaint in the world. The owner here has done an amazing job and has trained the staff very well. I can not recommend this place enough!
- Kittinun (10/5): Fantastic! - Staff were friendly and helpful. They suggest ed and told our driver the interesting places. At the end of our trip, the hotel allowed us to use their facility as our bus shedule was 8 pm which was over the check out time.
- Weng Keng (10/5): Great environment, good restaurants nearby - Our room was already ready for us when we arrived at 8am on the day of our check in. Room is clean and comfortable, wifi is spotty so it'd be best to get a local simcard if you require a good connection to the internet. Breakfast has a decent selection of local and western food, although the menu hardly changes day to day (we stayed for 4 nights). Hotel is located nearby many places with good food so dinner at night is not a problem if you prefer not to eat in the hotel. Will definitely return next time!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Charming property; gives a sense of calm and peace
- John (10/5): Great place to stay away from dusty downtown began - Great stay variable pricing for ebikes so know your prices before asking front desk
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing stay - Overall this was a very average stay. The hotel is in a good location in New Bagan and within walking distance of restaurants. We arrived at 4:30am and the hotel allowed us to check in at no extra charge.
The room cleanliness was average, with dust on cabinets and the bathroom blinds smelt mouldy. The housekeeping staff were very loud in the morning, coming round from 6am to clean rooms.
Breakfast was ok but staff tried to remember our orders then forgot items on multiple occasions.
There was confusion over the use of the e-bikes. We read in the in-room pack that bike hire was complimentary and when we asked at reception, we were told that we could use the e-bikes. We double checked to ensure it was complimentary and the receptionist confirmed and said yes. At the end of our stay, we left the hotel only to be confronted at the bus station by a hotel staff member saying we had to pay for using the bikes. We refused as we hadn’t been informed at any point of our 3 night stay that there was a charge. This resulted in a hotel manager coming onto the bus and demanding payment, which again we refused. Be aware that the bikes will last for about 2 hours constantly going at 40kmph, despite the receptionist telling us they would last all day until sunset. On our first day I was left 14km away with no power even though the battery gauge said it was full. The hotel team did come out with a new e-bike after we got in contact with them.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to loud temple and sun beds positioned not under the sun so you can’t really enjoy sunbathing on a relaxing day. Other than that, a lovely place to stay!
- stephen (10/5): A great stay - What a great hotel, our room was a great size and really comfortable, the bed was soo comfortable and everything was really clean, the team went out of their way to look after us,the walk into town was around five minutes with restaurants to choose from, the pool was refreshing after a long day sightseeing, would highly recommend
- Marianne (10/5): - Lovely small hotel in Vagan, kept in the colonial style. Good food, clean, helpful staff. Would go back in a heartbeat!
- LUI (10/5): A very nice hotel. - The room is spacious n clean. The staff are friendly too. Its location is also very convenient to get to nearby visitation places.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A truly beautiful hotel! Very professional Hotel Manager and Assistant Manager. Be careful booking activities at the front desk. One employee seems to promote her personal connections, and what is promised is not always delivered; however, the Hotel Manager took care of this tactfully. I would definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Tooth brush was used. There’s no tooth paste in it.
I preferred pancake for a breakfast, it was very hard(microwaved too long). Accommodation itself is fine but little bit old. The door lock in the bathroom is almost broken.
- Pavel (10/5): Amazing hotel - Absolutely wonderful place to stay, I have zero complaints and so many good things to say about Areindmar. Staff is lovely and helpful, breakfast is one of the best we had in a hotel, the pool is a true oasis, location is very convenient with a choice of ebike rentals and restaurants nearby. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished, we enjoyed every minute in it. Next times in Bagan I will be back to this hotel for sure.
- YS (10/5): nice n pleasant staff - the staffs are nice and pleasant. very accomodating in allowing us to early check in and late check out at no additional cost
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place in New Bagan - You're not going to find a nicer place for a better price. No matter where you stay in New Bagan, you definitely do NOT want to stay in a hotel directly on the main street. Traffic noise starts up before sunrise and is hectic all day and late into the night after dark. Areindmar sits one short block away from the main street and that means it is quiet and peaceful. Almost impossible to hear traffic noise. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were very nice and welcoming. Most of them don't speak much English, but I don't speak any Burmese, either.
The hotel was so nice and comfy I extended my stay by two more nights.
The pool is great in the evening after a long host, dusty day of touring the ruins and temples.
- Laura (10/5): - The hotel is amazing! The room was beautiful and the staff is very nice.
You can rent scooters right in front of the entrance, very handy!
- Ram (8/5): - Awesome. Room is clean, staff is very friendly and helpfull.
- Debra (10/5): Highly recommend - It was great. It's clean and beautiful, the location is good with lots of restaurants around. Staff were helpful arranging taxis, horserides, etc. They even were able to provide an adaptor for my laptop. We were allowed to stay after checkout until our flight time. We stayed four nights and would highly recommend Areindmar.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location for new bagan and off the noisy Main Street. The hotel is very romantic at night with lanterns lit everywhere. A very comfortable bed is waiting for you after a long day sightseeing in bagan. Moe Moe rents ebikes right outside the hotel. The hotel was very accommodating.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel with First Aid Trained Staff - Awesome staff. I had an accident on an ebike and the staff were so helpful in patching me up with their fully equipped first aid kit. Breakfast was pretty good! As I came in from the JJ Express from Yangon early in the morning they were able to check me in at 6am after a long journey on the bus. I was so happy to rest in bed. The staff were able to book a guide and driver for me the next day. They even brought me some apples to help me feel better. I would definitely stay there again. Food is a little expensive though. Overall great stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice - Nice hotel, great staff and good food...................
- Verified traveler (6/5): A Cosy and Centrally-Located Property - A cozy property just off the main street of New Bagan. Be aware that you may be housed in an annex across an unlit street with no view. The rooms are simply furnished yet spacious and comfortable. The staff are very efficient and can help you with tours and transfers.
- allan (8/5): Was ok but my friend found a raoch in her room - Everything was good and nice except there was a roach in my friends room which is a bit unpleasant.
- Joy (8/5): Was very happy with the hotel until I saw a Roach - The hotel is generally good and I like the whole environment, breakfast was decent, however the last night of my stay I saw a big roach in the room which ruins all the good impression. I can’t say the room are dirty cause the bed sheets etc seems fine, but I can’t say it’s clean as the roaches are there for a reason.
- myanmat (4/5): Bad experience at checkin - Check-in was very slow and horrendous case of arguing your case to a staff who doesn’t care. Booked prepaid 3 months in advance asked to pay $100 extra. Thank god I had all my itinerary prepared otherwise it could have gotten worst.
No WiFi. No hot water (fixed next day). Breakfast ok. Nice cocktail at happy hour.
Best thing that saves this hotel is it’s nice ambience, unfortunately, staffs need to better serve their customers. Simple smile “welcome” would help. Just be friendly to your customer, especially at check in and check out.
- HES (4/5): Overpriced and Overrated - Pros:
-staff was friendly
Cons:
—Water leaking from roof/ceiling onto the bed and floor (was not fixed for second night)
—pool was not cleaned for months (could not see bottom of the pool through haze of dirt)
—location overrated in other reviews—not that close to restaurants and activities
—Musty smell from A/C, sheets on bed, brown pillows more than other hotel experiences in Myanmar
—prices for non-alcoholic drinks and food was absurd compared with other similar level establishments in Bagan
—Overall, we regretted listening to the Expedia reviews—look at the Agoda reviews for confirmation of this relatively lower review. We did not want to give a low review because we want the staff to succeed and prosper, but no one is telling the truth on the Expedia review site, probably for similar reasons.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely garden retreat after hot dusty day - Good value for Bagan.
Clean, modern room with all the amenities you could want.
Lush garden setting around pool was a welcome sight after hours riding in hot, dusty mule cart! $3 happy hour drinks by the pool is a must!
- Ali (10/5): Bagan best hotel n service . - Fantastic service, awesome location staff Super excellent, the hotel is like Raffles hotel. We are Glad that we stayed at this hotel.
- C (6/5): Nice hitel - Lovely hotel; very comfortable. The only downside was the constant, religiuos chanting, that went on for 24 hours plus. Even through the night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Marvelous. - We were welcomed with a glass of lemonade and an ice cold towel to cool ourselves. Such a treat after our travels.
Staff was wonderful, always smiling and eager to be of assistance. Concierge helped us to book drivers to various locations, all of which were excellent.
Free breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
Swimming pool was great.
We stayed 3 nights and loved the place! No complaints whatsoever.
An absolutely marvelous hotel!
- Robert (8/5): - The hotel was clean and attractive. Pool was great and located nicely on a side street off the main road. Breakfast however, was very disappointing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful hotel - Entrance to hotel is very impressive! Beautiful room, comfortable beds and the shower was amazing! Friendly staff. Beautiful grounds. Pool was a welcome break during the hot hours. Really nice to have breakfast, lunch/dinner looking at the pool. Breakfast was lovely. Nice selection. Taxi and scooter service directly across the road. We booked our tour guide in the hotel for our tour of Bagan. Delighted we stayed here.
- Sylvester Ngilo (8/5): Good pleasant stay! - Arrived early from Yangon @ 7am and room was ready for check in. Polite and helpful staff manning front desk and also the bar. Breakfast selection could be improved but maybe cause it's low season. Very convenient to have ebike rentals just outside the hotel.
- Terry (10/5): Beautiful Oasis in Bagan! - As it was low season, we got a great rate on this hotel. We didn't expect much but we were completely amazed by the hotel, the room, and the service. It's probably the nicest place these two budget travelers have ever stayed in. The breakfast was off of a menu but we could choose anything and everything (included in room price). The pool was 15m, which is large for a hotel pool. It had a beautiful garden in a courtyard to add to the charm. Great, quiet location as well!
- chris (10/5): - It was a very good experience. I would recommend this hotel any day.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to perfect - Hotel was brilliant value for money and well located to allow us 3 days visiting temples. The hotel wasn't elegant and comfortable. A few small improvements (such a shame filtered water refills to cut down on the amount of plastic bottles wasted, mosquito nets, a fresh coat of paint etc) would perfect the stay.
- EATxPLAYxLIVE (8/5): Conveniently location, relaxing atmosphere - The hotel was located in New Bagan which is only less than 15 minutes ride on e-bike to Old Bagan. The surrounding pagodas and restaurants were plenty and the staff are very kind.
The e-bike rental across from the hotel also makes it extremely convenient to rent and get around to exploring as soon as you check-in.
We did experience a little issue with having our room cleaned in a timely manner and the sheets did show some signs of the times with some stains. Luckily, there are robes available and I used these to line the bed.
- Poh Chai (10/5): Fantastic Stay! - Great location. E-bike rental right in front of the hotel. Arrived at 5:30am, hotel allowed us check-in right away. Very good breakfast!
- Erik Poul (6/5): Mixed Experience at Hotel Areindmar - Very nice big comfortable room. Good small pool. Quality of food and service in the restaurant disappointing but reception service was friendly and helpful. On a scale of 1-9 (9 being top score) I will give Hotel Areindmar an overall score of 7.
- Ashley (10/5): Convenient and beautiful hotel - Beautiful hotel with large and clean rooms! Well located in New Bagan - e-bike and car rental service just outside of hotel (Moe Moe and his family were great!), restaurants in short walking distance (black rose was super tasty, 7 sisters restaurant had great ambience but food was nothing to shout about). Pool is a little small but the poolside area was shady and great for a relaxing afternoon. Free Wifi was available in the room but not the fastest wifi. Hotel was located on a small road so it was quiet and nice. Would definitely stay there again!
- Richard (8/5): Clean and spacious. Friendly staff - We booked a deluxe room. Very good. Very spacious. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Convenient for hiring scooters and access to the temples. Close to many restaurants.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Conveninent and clean hotel - Bad WiFi in the room and so and so breakfast. It is a lot cheaper to take taxi at the airport than to ask the hotel to organize a pick-up for you.
- rhona (8/5): - The swimming pool was great and the grounds are beautiful. Good Restsurant and breakfast
- Laura (10/5): Highly recommended!!! - A real hidden gem. We love this place and wished we could stay longer. It's a stylish resort with an outdoor dining restaurant. The setting is so beautiful. It has a small good-size swimming pool. It's a superb feeling to be able to have a swim after spending a day among the Bagan temples. All the staff have been so friendly and helpful. The restaurant menu is basic with good French wine selection.
- Francisco (10/5): Extraordinary hotel for Bagan visit - This is a small hotel with great rooms and a nice restuaurant (you'll probably end up having dinner there, so it's good that the food is nice). The service was extraordinary, and in general the hotel ambience feels very relaxing... just what you need after a day of temple-hopping. The pool is also very nice. Definitely worth it!
- joel (10/5): Wonderful hotel in Bagan - Lovely hotel and very relaxing atmosphere and we really enjoyed our stay. Staff was absolutely warm and friendly and also very accommodating. Would go back in a heartbeat if we travel to Bagan again.
- Romain (10/5): Very Enjoyable - We loved our stay from beginning to the ens. Location is great, rooms are very clean, breakfast and food is very good and thw staff is helpful. Very enjoyable stay in Bagan
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect hotel for a few days in Bagan. - They made it an extra special honeymoon experience by decorating the room and surprising us with a honeymoon cake. Staff was most helpful and friendly I have seen anywhere. Facilities and atmosphere excellent. Convenient bike rentals and taxi service, tour guides directly across the street.
- Verified traveler (10/5): An Excellent Choice in Bagan - This hotel is a very special place in Bagan, with great service & absolutely amazing grounds. The building itself is a date colonial-style compound that has tremendous charm. E-bike rentals are just outside the door & it's just a 5 min ride down the street to pagodas. I couldn't recommend this hotel more.
- Matthew (10/5): Wonderful stay - We booked this hotel because of other reviews. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed it immensely and highly recommend it.
- James (10/5): Idyllic retreat in the centre of the Bagan Temples - Beautiful rooms, friendly service and a great location make this the perfect place to explore Bagan from. Set in pretty gardens decorated with candles and fairy lights, Areindmar provides a great setting to relax after a long day.
We would 100% recommend this hotel.
- T (10/5): Good hotel - comfortable, spacious, clean - For an area with relatively few amenities (after all, it is located in Bagan, a village-type environment known more for its ancient temples than for its metro settings), this hotel provides modern-setting comforts and hygiene. There was good value for money too, as we were more than satisfied with the size of our room
- Stacey (10/5): Quiet poolside hotel in great location. - Lovely peaceful hotel in garden setting. Staff helpful and professional.
Great pool for afternoon swims. Room clean and comfortable with everything you need. One block from main street so a great location without the noise.
Beds pretty comfortable by myanmar standards. Internet patchy. Good air con and nice breakfasts by the pool.
- Paul (8/5): - 4 due to the reasonable price paid
- Shun cheng (10/5): definitely nice hotel - nice hotel, good pool, breakfast is wonderful, very good services.
- Tom (10/5): Nice hotel witv big rooms - Big rooms kn a quiete area.
Friendly and very helpful staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect - Absolutely incredible
- Elizabeth (10/5): Fantastic stay - great space, helpful staff - I spent 2 nights at Areindmar with 2 friends. We were there during off-season (mid-June), so the hotel was relatively empty. The space is amazing - our room was very clean, spacious, and well decorated, and had lovely details like bottled water, fresh fruit and one day even flower petals on the bed! The common spaces like the garden, restaurant and pool are also beautiful and well decorated. It was great to get the included breakfast.
The air conditioning and wifi (both in the room and in the common spaces) both worked very well.
The staff was extremely helpful - receiving deliveries, helping us sort out a flat tire with our rented bicycles, and allowing us to check out at 4pm so that we could rest before our flight home.
We rented bicycles from across the street (Moe Moe), which was great, and I highly recommend!
The only downside is that the hotel restaurant is a bit overpriced, so I recommend eating dinner/lunch elsewhere (there are some great restaurants in easy walking/biking distance).
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ok stay - I had a good stay at the hotel. The people were friendly and helpful. I did not have much hot water during my stay
- Didi (10/5): higly recommended - the stay was pleasant. enjoyed it
- Gustaf (8/5): Great service! - Great hotel for a few nights, terrific service. We came late for breakfast and everything was removed, but they still put one together for us.
- Jan (6/5): Good place for stay short - We came from Bagan with the small bus and were staying two nights at the railroad hotel. The staff was really friendly and helpfully and the breakfast on the veranda was one of the nicest in Myanmar. There was WiFi but without internet - it didn't work in the whole town (also not in the internet cafe).
The rooms are big and comfortable, but we had no aircon and the shower was "asian-style" with the toilet in the same small room.
- andrew (10/5): Nice hotel in quite New Bagan. - The hotel is intimate, and number of rooms arranged in a u-shaped building overlooking a lush, manicured tropical garden. The staff are wonderfully quiet and unobtrusive but helpful, in the way of the Burmese. The rooms are of an good size, and are tastefully decorated in teak and whitewashed walls. There is a sense of space and tranquility. This is a boutique hotel experience at a far flung corner of the globe.
- Phebe (10/5): Gorgeous place in Bagan - The rooms are wonderful, with little artistic touches that give the hotel a truly Myanmar ambience. Had a very relaxing stay between exploring the pagodas and stupas and temples of Old Bagan. Definitely a wonderful place to stay!
- Di C (10/5): Oasis of comfort and calm in magical Bagan - We loved this place. Amazing value for a huge quality room, beautiful gardens, dining, bar and pool area. We stayed three nights and would happily have stayed longer and would definitely return. Well appointed large room, king sized bed, desk, daybed and great bathroom, all stylishly decorated. Friendly staff and service, helpful with bookings and information. Good breakfast choices and cocktails. Good menu available though we only had the inclusive breakfasts. Quiet location one street back from main road. Easy access to the temples from here with a locally hired scooter and lovely area for lunch and dinner within walking distance with choice of restaurants and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend the Areindmar.
- Namal (10/5): One night stay - Great place to stay and relax. Wish if we had stayed more nights. The rooms we stayed in was very spacious and had a good bathroom and a comfortable bed. The hotel staff was very helpful in arranging taxis to/from airport and horse cart rides to see the temples. Had a reasonably good food offering too.
