• Sylvia (10/5): Relaxing, beautiful and not long enough - This trip exceeded our expectations. Michele and the staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. We chose to eat at the hotel every night because the food was outstanding! Our sea view room was clean, cute and perfect! It truly was a pleasure staying there and would definitely go back. There was nothing that I didn't like. The hotel and staff were perfect.

• CELINE (10/5): - Tout le personnel est très sympa, aux petits soins, à l'écoute de nos besoins. C'est une équipe très familiale (un frère et une soeur) qui dirigent l'hôtel. Ce sont de très belles personnes, chaleureuses, sympathiques. Nous avons vraiment aimé le fait d'être dans une petite structure familiale cordiale. La chambre est très propre, la cuisine est saine et délicieuse, le petit déjeuner est excellent. Ils ont un jardin et beaucoup de choses servies sont composées avec des fruits et légumes frais du jardin, ce que nous avons vraiment apprécié! Il y a la possibilité, même sans prendre la demi-pension, de prendre les repas du soir à l'hôtel si on s'annonce avant 15h le jour-même. Il y a à chaque fois trois possibilités à choix pour les "primi" et trois possibilités à choix pour les "secondi". En cas de régime spécial (vegan ou autre), ils peuvent même adapter les plats à nos besoins, ce qui a été vraiment très pratique pour moi qui suis enceinte (et qui avais beaucoup de nausées durant le séjour). Ils ont fait très attention en préparant la salade et les différents plats pour que ce soit compatible avec ma grossesse. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié le fait de pouvoir prendre chaque jour le petit déjeuner dehors sur la terrasse avec vue sur la baie de Naples, c'était vraiment un gros atout de l'hôtel pour nous. C'est une des raisons qui a fait que nous avons choisi cet hôtel. Le buffet est à l'intérieur, mais on on peut aller s'installer sur une table de terrasse (aussi pour le repas du soir d'ailleurs!). Possibilité de pouvoir vraiment manger sainement à tous les repas: il y a toujours d'excellents fruits frais (aussi au repas du soir!) et de très bons produits de qualité au petit déjeuner. C'est très varié, il y en a pour tous les goûts. Il y a des gâteaux et viennoiseries faits maison chaque matin, des confitures maison, du fromage, céréales, etc.
• Andrew (9/5): You are in for a treat with a family operated establishment! - Hotel Villa D'Orta was amazing! First - this place has an amazing view from the outdoor eating space for Breakfast and Dinner and our rooms with balconies overlooking a garden out to the sea water were spectacular. The hotel is "up" the hill, however, this provided amazing views and cool sea breezes. We traveled into the Casamicciola port and right away the hotel was there to pick us up in the air-conditioned van. We were greeted by an amazing staff. Super friendly, gave us great recommendations and shared their experience of living in Ischia. The hotel location is up the hill so it does take 10/12 minutes to walk up to the hotel. There are stairs, but you are walking. There is frequent public buses to and from the hotel, plus the hotel provided 4 or 5 daily trips to and from the port if your schedule aligns. The place was incredibly clean and you could see the pride of the family who owned and worked on-site. The location of the hotel was a great part of the smaller port - which was really nice and quaint. The breakfast was very good, felt very fresh and local. We had dinner one night at the hotel and it was so well done. We only used the pool for a few hours, but it was nice with loads of sun loungers. You are in for a treat with Hotel Villa D'Orta! We would stay there again as a family of 5. (2 rooms) Remember this is Italy - the rooms are well appointed, super clean and fresh but on the smaller size for bathrooms and overall room space, but then again we are visiting to explore the island, not lounge in a room. A full sized queen bed and a closet and desk, so plenty of space, just no couch or chair to sit in the room. The linens were comfy and clean (white). Something that would be helpful would be a luggage rack to place you luggage on instead of the deck top or floor.

La piscine, la petite piscine intérieure chauffée plutôt jacuzzi et le hamman. La gentillesse du personnel qui a pris le temps de nous expliquer les plats qu’ils proposaient le soir au restaurant et leur très grande discrétion. Ils se sont tous appliqués pour que notre séjour soit le plus agréable possible et ce fut le cas. La propreté de l’ensemble de l’établissement. L’originalité aussi, un potager dont on peut savourer les légumes le soirs lors du repas. L’établissement est un peu en hauteur prévoir un véhicule mais il y a un parking. Très reposant, calme et bien situé pour visiter l’île

They really made us feel at home. Homemade, delicious and authentic food, not only the included breakfast but also the dinner, we were always looking forward for what the dinner menu would be! Clean and well maintained rooms with no frills but just what you need. We loved the pool and the views from the terrace! Overall a 10/10 experience! It is a up in the hill so a little bit out of the way from Casamicciola town centre, but they organise free shuttles and for us was not of a big walk (10-15 minutes)

• Liza (10/5): Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt mit sehr herzlichen Menschen! - Am besten hat uns das Personal gefallen, welches sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit war. Das Frühstück hat eine gute Auswahl geboten und man konnte herzhafte Dinge wie Eierspeisen oder Schinken und Käse auf Nachfrage kostenlos dazu bestellen. Das Abendessen war fantastisch und dafür sehr preiswert. Am Pool herrscht Badekappenpflicht, welche im Hotel erhältlich sind. Den Pool hatten wir meistens für uns allein und es sind reichlich liegen vorhanden. Die Aussicht vom Hotelzimmer aufs Meer ist traumhaft und das Zimmer an sich hat auch alle Erwartungen erfüllt. Man könnte hier maximal die Dusche nennen, welche wirklich sehr klein war und die Lage evtl. noch einmal erwähnen, da das Hotel 1km und knapp 100 hm vom Stadtzentrum entfernt liegt. Wenn man gut zu Fuß ist kann man das aber Problem bewältigen, ansonsten fährt ein Bus oder zu gewissen Zeiten auch ein Shuttel des Hotels welches wir jedoch nicht genutzt haben. Dafür hatte man einen tollen Ausblick und eine ruhige Lage. Also alles Meckern auf hohem Niveau. ;)

• Sean (10/5): Beautiful location with stunning views, lovely staff and food. - Fabulous views from the dining area, swimming pool and bedrooms with sea view. Worth paying a bit extra for the sea view rooms. They are incredible. The staff are lovely, very professional, warm and friendly. The food at the hotel is excellent as well. The property is about a 15 minute walk into Casamiccolia, which is fine. Also the buses run regularly very close to the hotel and take you straight in. Bus service generally is great. We bought a 7 day bus pass for 14 euros each that gave us unlimited use. This was great to see the different areas. It’s very easy to get around. Ischia d’Porto and ischia Ponte are nearby and are lovely and great for eating. Lots of options there. Casamiccolia is more limited on restaurants but the hotel food is good and it’s easy to get to other places. The hotel do a set menu with options for first and second course. Plus you get a small course or two in between the set courses which are great. It’s good value as well.
• Cassandra (8/5): Exceptional staff and view! - Staff were exceptional, went above and beyond to meet our needs. Breakfast was quite ok too, glad they served eggs and decent coffee. And the view was a magnificent touch! Suggest getting the dinner here one night when arriving as it’s a good view and deal. The bed and pillows and linens were classically Italian hard. Not very comfortable for me.

They have a menu plan which is a 5 course. They grow most of their vegetables. This hotel staff are very accommodating and considerate. We would stay here again. We have been very fortunate to meet wonderful people here. Not a thing. It was clean, and comfortable, a great size room and balcony, wonderful food, and extremely relaxing.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the wonderful staff, until the end, we just did not want to leave! The property is beautiful and has the best views. It was exceptionally clean and our room was serviced daily. The food in the restaurant was amazing, and the service was perfect. Michele was always willing to help and even took us into town outside of the shuttle times. We highly recommend staying here to anyone wanting an authentic Italian experience. • Robin (10/5): Perfect stay in Ischia - We had a fantastic experience from start to end. Michele and his team saw to it that our transport to and from the airport was sorted and even arranged a bike rental to be brought to our hotel, which made our stay so convenient. The staff were so friendly and hospitable, giving advice about where to visit in the local area. The restaurant serves delicious breakfast with an amazing view. Our room was perfect and facilities were all so well cared for and spotlessly clean. The location is also great, as we were a short scooter journey from several beautiful beaches, local sights and good restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again if we visited Ischia. There was nothing we didn’t like.

• Chloe (10/5): The Perfect Hotel - I absolutely LOVED my stay here, I genuinely couldn't think of one bad thing to say - I had such an amazing time and if you're thinking of booking a stay in Ischia this is the perfect hotel. Everything is 10/10! The hotel is incredible value for money and if you stay you MUST have the dinner! The menu changes every day and the food was absolutely beautiful, some of the best food I ate all trip. So fresh and well thought out - I couldn't believe how delicious it all was. The staff are so lovely and really helpful, and the shuttle bus is a great addition. The pool area is beautiful, so well looked after, really clean and so relaxing. Rooms are great - I had the superior double and had plenty of space, with a massive balcony - everything was spotless. I highly, highly recommend this hotel - it's an absolute gem in Ischia and I was so glad of my find. Everything about it is perfect for a relaxing stay. There's nothing I didn't like!
• Elena (10/5): Awesome - It was amazing! Thank you very very much! The reviews do not lie, this hotel is really good. The location might seem a bit inconvenient, but the view and the shuttle service compensate for it. The bed was super comfortable (you don't really find memory foam pillows in a lot of hotels, but here they have them, my neck is very greatful). It was very clean, very quiet, the pools and sauna very good, and the staff was just so welcoming and nice! I do recommend dinners in the hotel (please, send the Chef my love). But if you're on a diet, avoid it, because even if you're so full you can't move any more, they will get that cheesecake into you, and you will love it. So, thank you very much once again, will definitely come back!

Rooms were sparkling and air con 👌 It is a bit out of the way and up a hill. I personally liked the peace and quiet and a good walk after a pasta. It’s a solid 10 mins walk up hill or a cab ride. The bus also stops right outside - they are easy to navigate.

Nice breakfast with garden fruit, amazing home made jams, eggs to order, italian cakes and sweets, Luca makes great coffees made to your liking. Inside or sea view terrace seating, Beautiful hillside property with amazing sea views. Good size rooftop pool with Sun loungers with hill and sea views. Michele runs the free hotel shuttle at certain times, also 3 buses outside, or a 10 minute walk down to the harbour. My room had a spacious furnished private terrace with gorgeous views over the Bay of Napoli. The rooms are a bit old fashioned but are immaculate. Ok bathroom, small shower.

Felt like a dream! - What an incredible place - the view is unbeatable, the pool are is GORGEOUS (so much nicer than it looks in the pics), the staff were so friendly and couldn't do more for us, and our room had the most gorgeous view of the harbour. Food was actually some of the best we had on the island (and we ate out for most meals) and very good value. Our drinks bill at the end of the week was only 100€ despite having had 2 aperols or beers every night! The ONLY downside is that it's a bit of a walk into town and there's not that much going on in Casamicciola Terme. We got the bus quite often to Forio, which was very easy but a bit of a slog when you know you've got to do a 12 min very steep uphill walk at the end of it.

• Emily (10/5): Truly remarkable and heavenly - Absolutely delightful and serene hotel with a garden on site where they grow all of the produce they use at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel had an amazing view of the surrounding town and felt like a quiet oasis on top of the world. We didn’t have any complaints about the property but worth noting outside of shuttle hours you need to be ready for an uphill walk! However this was great in contrast to all of the delicious breakfasts, pizza and pasta we’d been consuming.

We enjoyed the fresh made eggs and cappuccinos every morning and loved the property so much we ate dinner there every night and it was delicious with a different homemade menu of local specialties and local wine every night! We would have liked a softer bed, but understand everyone has different tastes.
• Victoria (10/5): I was here to do some work in Naples but I wish I could have stayed longer. - Very peaceful and beautiful location. The view from my room balcony was stunning. Staff were kind and helpful. This is not a bad thing, but the location is high up the mountain. There are buses that stop by as well as a hotel shuttle, but next time I would probably rent a scooter or car.

• Eilidh (9/5): Excellent, clean and friendly. Staff are all lovely. Would highly recommend - Hotel were totally fine with our early check in (the only ferry we could get arrived at 10.30am!) Room was spotless, and exactly what I expected, with a comfortable bed, mini fridge and outside seating area with a sea view. We took advantage of the midday shuttle back down to the seaside and got it back up at 7pm that night. Breakfast was lovely, with pastries, some of which were homemade, and also cereal, home made jams, and omelletes made to order. You can also ask for cold meat and cheese etc. It was warm enough to eat on the terrace and enjoy the fantastic views. The staff were very responsive to any enquiries and they even ran an extra shuttle for us to the port as our ferry was leaving early. I'd happily stay here again and definitely recommend it The shower didn't want to heat up at night, and after a long sweaty hike I wasn't keen on having a cold shower. Even in the morning it seemed to take a while for the hot water to come through

• Amaya (10/5): Perfect little hotel to discover northern ischia. Great staff. - This little hotel has first and foremost really good staff big shout out to Lucca . The breakfast was tip top to start off your day. The pool and jacuzzi are also great addition. The rooms are on the smaller size for Italian standards and the shower could do with a bit more pressure especially if you have thick hair! But honestly 10/10 for this place.
• Anais (10/5): Stay here for a peaceful time. - Mostly I will remember the friendly staff, everyone was so nice, remembered how I like my coffee and what I like for breakfast etc, little details like that make it a 5 star hotel for me. The hotel and the room was also extraordinarily clean. The food was also amazing, every time something special with fresh fruits and vegetables from their gardens.It was in a peaceful and quiet area, eventhough there were buses not too far, they still had a shuttle service that I used. I'd come back any time! Thank you to the team for this amazing time!!! That my holidays came to an end and I had to leave this little paradise.

Facilities are basic but well managed and super clean. Worth hiring a scooter as location is quite out of the city centre and taxis are expensive. Mosquito nets would have been great as we prefer not to use aircon all the time. There is a lot of them, despite deet and cintronella, plenty of bites!

• Nicola (10/5): Lovely stay at Hotel Villa D'Orta - Hotel was very relaxing and peaceful. Never been to a hotel before where the pool has been so quiet. Staff were amazing, very friendly, knew everyone's room numbers and were really helpful. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of different choices and plentiful! Can't think of anything at all!

Last minute booking ( 2 days before travelling ) but everything from communication from Michele prior to us arriving and collecting us from the port , until being dropped off at the port at the end of our holiday , was excellent . Family run hotel and all staff obviously take pride in what they do . Helpful and attentive without ever being intrusive . Always very pleasant and cheery. We were on B and B but when we did eat in the hotel in the evening the food was excellent and great value . My wife and I are both vegetarian and this was no problem for the staff who made a meal specifically for us . When not out and about we used the hotel pool which was always quiet and never an issue getting a bed . It actually felt like our own private pool at times . Thanks to Michele and his team for a great holiday . Although up on a hill and a steep walk from the marina, the views afforded from this location were excellent . We also made regular use of the hotel courtesy bus service and the local buses which dropped us at the entrance to the property so the location was never an issue .

Having seen a few in Ischia, this is most definitely one of the best stays on the island. Beautiful building with character, two pools, ample communal space, fantastic food with home-grown ingredients. And, most importantly, the staff – always going above and beyond to make sure you’re happy. Met a couple there who return every year since 2016, this is my second time – but most certainly not the last! There’s honestly nothing to complain about. Fantastic hotel.

Whole Team is super friendly and made you totally feel like home. just amazing! Also nice mediterranean breakfast with home made cookies, marmalade and the like. Nice offer of dinner, if you can make it in time (until 21, which was a bit early for me). Why not pure 10: - Nothing wrong with accommodation, but facilities are not the newest, so just to temper the expectations. - location is a bit in a hill, so you better have healthy knees (ca 15min walk from the coast) , or waiting for local bus it is then.

• Kate (10/5): A brilliant hotel! - Hotel Villa D’Orta is amazing! The rooms are clean and a good size and the balconies have beautiful views. We loved the pool which was clean and quiet and also the terrace where we ate meals. All the food is delicious. The dinners especially are exceptional as the chef is amazing and all the ingredients are fresh. The food is very reasonably priced. The hotel is on a hill but we didn’t have an issue with the walk and there is a helpful shuttle. Everyone who works here are friendly, professional, and helpful and we felt so welcome the whole time! • Lola (10/5): Fantastic views, very clean, friendly, great pool. - Fantastic hotel. very clean beautiful pool and stunning views. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. stayed for evening dinner and it was good value and nice fresh cooked food. We also had a few lunches very large salads also very fresh and tasty. All staff were so helpful and friendly. It is family run and they could not have done more for us. We had a large room on the second floor over looking a fantastic view with sofa and 2 arm chairs. A large room with a sofa and walk in cupboard. Comfortable large bed. Great bathroom and everything was immaculate. If you don't want to be in the bustle of things this is the place.

All staff very polite and helpful. Knowledgable about the island and gives sound advise on getting to places around the island. Can have an evening meal at extra cost - different menu every night with some Italian specialities. A lot of the food comes from their local garden. Great family run hotel. I loved it, nothing to complain about. However it is in the mountains which is about 5 mins away from the harbour.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner was nice, nothing exceptional but all fresh and tasty. Room was clean. Balcony was big and had the most beautiful views! Location is a bit out the way - no shops/restaurants etc within walking distance. However they are happy to drop you to the nearest town which saves a 20/25 min steep walk! Also had to pay £15 a day for the cot which seemed quite expensive.

Ischia is a small island and island wide the water is pumped from the mainland. Tp our mind the water has a taste to it and we drank mostly bottled water.

Michele and Titi were incredibly friendly and helpful and always went out of their way to help you out and show you around. The breakfast was great and the room was incredibly clean and the beds are super comfy! The balcony was also huge with a great view! You would need a car/motorbike to get around. There's nothing in the immediate area so it's a good base to leave and come back to but there's nothing around walking distance. We were looking forward to the small terme pool in the hotel but were disappointed that the water temp was not warm enough for our preference.

This hotel is efficiently run by family and friends and it is obvious they take great pride in their property. Antonio was our taxi driver and was always reliable and on-time, we can’t wait to go back to this fabulous hotel and see what we consider now, our friends, Luka, TT, and Michelle. Nothing.
