- Russel (9/5): Amazing time. - The grounds and the ghost town where fantastic The halls can be a bit confusing
- Crystal (8/5): -
- Hannah (10/5): - Absolutely LOVED our stay here! There was so much to see and do and the ghost town was much more of an immersive museum than expected. My kids also loved the sand pit area and the ship playground as well as the train ride! The rooms and building itself were clean and comfortable. The rooms were a good size and the view was spectacular! We will definitely be making our way back for another trip soon. The staff were all very friendly and polite. 10/10 would definitely recommend for a family trip to remember!
- Jason (6/5): Stayed 1 night, jammed a lot into the 1 night, beach, kayaking, swimming pool, games room, supper. - Location is perfect. The kayak rental was great. The hotel is weird but in a good way. It was clean and it was what I expected it to be. Would be nice to get Netflix or something on the TV. Would have been cool if the arcade worked.
- Kayleigh (9/5): It was beautiful very fun - We were a little confused with the cafeteria didn't know were to go and how to get things that weren't out and was listed on the back bored but other then that good The fitted sheet was to small and would just keep coming up
- Sebastian (8/5): -
- Bobi (8/5): Felt like our own little fairytale that we could run away too - Location was incredible and over all it felt like its own little world while we stayed. The bathroom was also the cleanest I’ve ever seen for a hotel room! Beds were super comfortable too. My husband and I loved that each room had a balcony so that we could “sneak away” at night to hangout while the kids slept without disturbing them. Truly the only downfall was how hot the room got! However that’s our own fault for booking during a heat wave. Would love to visit in the fall!

- Ashley (7/5): Hotel was great. Restaurant isn't worth it. - The front desk staff was amazing. Friendly, easy check in and out process. All in all it was great. The restaurant as a whole, was at best - mediocre. The evening staff for dinner was, sad. We were greeted with an "I'll be right with you", which she never did. Another young woman seated us at a table, that she openly debated with herself which one to put us at. The table was wiped down with a sopping cloth and therefore I couldn't put my arm or bag on it. She put a coloring page for my son, instantly soaked. Said we'd get some colors, and they never arrived. Our waiter, Beau(i think that's what was on the bill, he never gave us his name) appeared bored, and like we were an inconvenience. The food was expensive for lackluster meal. I asked for no tomato or onion, but also got no lettuce on my burger. Which was a frozen grocery store patty and a handful of fries for $20.
I was optimistic that maybe this was just a rough night for them, but breakfast was just as garbage. No one offered my kid a booster seat either time, I had to get it myself. The shredded hasbrowns were undercooked, the sausages were bland and unseasoned. There was so much butter on the toast it was running off. And again, this was a $20 meal. Both times when asked how it was going, it wasn't even a question. It was "everything is OK here, right?" Maybe the garbage food would've been better if the service was top notch, but it just left a lot to be desired.
- Kimberly (9/5): Anybody who is looking for an affordable get-away, this is it! - I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful view from the balcony attached to our room. You get such a beautiful view of the lake.
I also had so much fun venturing through time exploring the museum on site. Would definitely stay here again!

- Liberty (9/5): Loved it and can’t wait to come back - The history of the Chateau plus the ghost town adjacent made it a chef kiss of a place to stay Just needs more places to sit and lounge in the garden.
- Derek (8/5): very pleasant, good value for the money, a fun stay. - View, location
- Susan (5/5): Not bad. Under utilized facility. - Location Food and service terrible in restaurant.
- Tracy (7/5): Pleasant staff, quiet sleep. Enjoyed the balcony overlooking the gardens. - Loved the maze like nature. Wanted to explore the grounds, but too much rain. The rooms were a little dated.

The staff are super friendly, the food is amazing and we love the Ghost Town.

- Oksana (9/5): -
- Randy (6/5): - Place was cool to see but the room had a few items that required fixing.
- Wes (9/5): -
- Ross (6/5): - Easy access to/from the highway.
Convenient parking.
Good dinner and breakfast.
Friendly staff.
Be aware that this place is all by itself, so if you want to go to the nearest town you are at least 20-30 minutes away.
- Farzaneh (7/5): - the view was amazing
- Andrew (7/5): -
- Troy (8/5): - It is a very unique, eclectic property. definitely visit the ghost town. The mattresses and sheets were from another era
- Megan (9/5): -
- Chantelle (8/5): - Had a great view . Ghost town was great, i loved that there was something to do during our stay. Also ping pong tables were great to. The pool temperature was a little to warm and lots of floating hair. But everything else was good
- David (10/5): - A very clean room that fully met our needs.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Very eclectic unique property . Great condition dispute being older . Definitely would come back again.
- Barbara (10/5): - Amazing views and well kept historical property including the historic ghost town 🤩 enjoyed visiting 😍 and run by family 🤗 of original owners ❤️
- Frank (9/5): -
- Mukesh (10/5): - The location is the high point of this hotel. Beautiful scenery and so peaceful. Everything was so perfect here. Will come back and stay every time.
- paula (9/5): -
- Mike (8/5): - clean room. lake view
- Colette (10/5): - Great stay but old building.
- Mike (10/5): - Parking was very good and secure. The lake view was awesome and the indoor and outdoor gardens would be amazing when in full bloom! The staff were very nice and accommodating and the room was clean up in need of some updating!
- JENNIFER (10/5): - Safe -parking area. Beautiful scenery, fantastic lake view. Extremely friendly and obliging staff.
- Robert (6/5): - Tired property
- Allen (10/5): - The parking area was safe but a bit of a walk if you dont get in early. Snd the virw from our room was fantastic. No ac but the breeze off the lake was enough to keep the room cool there is ac in the halways though. Kids loved it here and so did we.
- Mark (8/5): - The hotel and our room had an absolutely stunning view of the lake and the mountains. It is really one of the most beautiful pieces of scenery one can see. The balcony was a lovely place to sit and just simply look out. It made for a very tranquil morning coffee.
The hotel itself is generally very well-maintained, but there are several areas that are showing definite signs of aging. The paint on parts of our balcony was flaking away and looked very splintery. I felt the need to be cautious around it when maneuvering around. This looked to be consistent across the entirety of the property.
The TV in our room seemed to have continuous trouble connecting to channels and the picture quality was always a bit blurred. The entryway to the elevator by the indoor gardens had quite a few spiders that had taken over a significant area of the doorway and throughout the property there were a few lights in the hallways that were burned out or dimmed.
While none of these things are anything I would consider major issues that would stop me from returning, they all do contribute to a feeling of the property being a bit "run down".
The staff were excellent and took pleasure in helping. I can only say nice things about them.
The room was comfortable and was well-laid out. The room and linens were clean and nothing was out of place.
I am satisfied with my stay and I will absolutely come back, but I think the property could use a bit of love and care to really make it outstanding.
- Leigh (10/5): - Property was very unique. Along with the beautiful views outside, the lake and garden. The building was very old with lots of history. As well we really liked the ghost town right next to the hotel.
- Merel (4/5): - Be Prepared – the Walls Are Extremely Thin
We stayed for two nights and, unfortunately, both nights we were placed next to young families. This led to two main issues:
Noise Levels – Parents should be mindful and teach their children appropriate behavior, especially in shared spaces like hotels. Excessive noise early in the morning (5:30 am) made it difficult to relax or sleep.
Outdated Facilities – The hotel is in serious need of renovations. The rooms feel stuck in the 1950s, and for a rate of $200 per night, guests should expect a more modern, comfortable, and soundproof environment.
Overall, the stay was not as restful as it should have been.
- Steve (6/5): - Unique place to stay
- John (10/5): - Staff were great. Interesting place. Lack of wifi in rooms not ideal but having lots of data works well. Lots of free parking
- Robert (10/5): - Very unique & interesting. So very different than normal hotel properties. If we had time we might have stayed an extra day. It seems that the restaurant could be better in terms of setting, ambiance, etc. Food was just OK
- zhiqiang (10/5): - Super good
- Robert (10/5): - everything amazing. beautiful property and views. waitress excellent
- Candius (8/5): - This property is in a very beautiful location surrounded by mountains and a lake in front. Property is very clean. Has a great little ghost town attached which is worth the exploration of history. Be prepared to unplug as the hotel does not have wifi in the rooms and the TV reception is poor. Very remote about 15 min to Revelstoke.
- Rhys (10/5): - Lovely picturesque location with beautiful lake views from the balcony. Lovely staff, who are extremely welcoming to provide everything for a comfortable stay
- Mary (8/5): - Dinning room has gluten-free options. Beautiful gardens to walk around in, a lake with kayak rental. The ghost town on the property is great to tour and the train roundhouse with the vintage cars offers a great experience.
- Judith (10/5): - Loved everything!!!
- Merel (4/5): - Was excited to stay at this historic site. But be aware, room walls are not insulated so you hear your neighbors. Kids are lovely but parents should be reminded to not allow yelling, screaming and jumping at 5:30 am onward. Seriously you hear EVERYTHING. Even people having a discussion can be heard. Lots to see around the property, ghost town is super cool, even for adults. Amazing collection of things and the buildings. Would love to stay again but likely won’t. $200 a night to be woken at 5:30 am and not have the room restocked with coffee or fresh towels each day is a big turn off
- Selina (8/5): - Beautiful view Limited wifi
- Lucia (10/5): Pleasant stay and interesting location. Good meals. - We enjoyed our stay at this interesting location.
The meals (dinner and breakfast) were very good. It was nice that we did not have to look for a restaurant as it was right there 🥰 . There was nothing we did not like.
- Bahereh (8/5): - Beautiful place facing the mountain and water/ lake, Beautiful garden.
- Bob (8/5): - Nice view of the lake from the rooms!
- Keilah (10/5): - It was such a cool experience! My kids loved the indoor gardens and the pool and the play area by the pool. There’s so much to explore it’s amazing! Would definitely stay again!
- Leiann (8/5): Good little stop out of town. - Staff was very friendly on check in and checkout and anytime i ran into them in the hotel. Room while a little dated was very clean and had everything i needed. Didn't notice the lack of ac as the provided fan was moremthan adequate. The only downside to my stay was that the people in rooms above me were very loud and i was near the stairs and could hear people clomping up and down them.
- Nancy (8/5): - The hotel is rustic. Rooms are clean. There is no a/c but fans are provided. It is noisy with the highway being very close although the traffic settles down at night. The ghost town is great and very well done; well worth a stop!
- Madeleina (8/5): - Charming!
- Gary (10/5): - Good fun hotel and related ghost town. No AC, as their advertising noted.
- laurie (8/5): - We enjoyed the room, restaurant, gardens, exploring the building, and "Ghost Town".
- Judy (8/5): - It is an aging building but it is a unique experience and would go again
- Rokus (8/5): - special
- Richelle (10/5): - This is an excellent place to stay, cozy comfortable and the staff is amazing. The ghost town was so neat and the train ride was great.
- Angela. (10/5): - Lots of history and beautiful antiques
- Darla (10/5): - Food choices could be improved
Local area food choices excellent
- Sarit (8/5): - Good property
- Brian (6/5): - We had picked this place based on other people’s online reviews so we were a wee bit surprised when we pulled up and then went to the room. Who knows - maybe the reviews were fake. The place has definitely seen better days - I felt we were on a set from the 1980s with the indoor plant room, the Neighbourhood watch stickers on the patio doors, and the lonely microwave in the activity area. We thought about going swimming but the pool is a large bathtub with a strange homage painted on the walls to the titanic, and the beach is not really welcoming. From the outside, we can tell many of the rooms have been decommissioned because of damaged window coverings and weed infested patios. The front desk clerk was friendly, but there’s no air conditioning so in the summer beware. There were five tv channels but three didn’t work and no wifi in the rooms. Spend the money and stay in Revelstoke as unfortunately this place is decades past its glory days. Revelstoke is lovely and cute with lots of fun and good places to eat plus the museum to keep you busy.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Amazing views of the lake and grounds.
A great place to stay if you want to relax.
- LAKSHMIPRIYA (10/5): - The hotel, the lake view is beautiful. So many things to do there to enjoy the vacation like canoeing, TT, pool or just seat on the lakeshore or roam ghost town. Dining facilities are also available and downtown is just 10mnts drive.
- Waldner (4/5): -
- Opal (10/5): very relaxing - the views were awesome the weather
- Julia (7/5): - This is such a cool and amazing place. Ghost town was fantastic, lots of activities and things to do It was really hot with no air conditioning
- Stephen (8/5): - It' a great location. If you stay there you need to visit the Ghost town beside the hotel. The building need a lot's of structural love, but it's a very clean and decent place. The staff also very friendly. I would stay there again.
- Kyle (10/5): -
- vern (10/5): Wicked ghost town - Friendly staff
- Diana (10/5): - Beach property
- Paul (10/5): - Very friendly staff ,always there to help.
Clean rooms and public areas as well.
A litlle out dated but it has a charm with all the antiques at the facility.
- Linda (8/5): - Confusing layout.
- elodie (6/5): Correct - Lieu atypique
Propre Très mal insonorisé, on entend la route qui passe juste à côté, et le train de l’autre. Également ce qui se passe dans les chambres voisines.
- Fatima (8/5): - Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Ghost town is must see for all ages. You can spend hrs exploring this town. Ghost town is very dusty, maybe it's the feature to show age but I was sneezing all the time. The room at hotel was also a bit dusty.
- Samantha (6/5): - Unique place.
- Dominic (8/5): -
- Mary Jane (10/5): - I loved the environment in general. So relaxing! Peaceful and quiet!❤️
Abundant water supply in the washroom and shower.
- Laura (10/5): - Restaurant was poorly run and my food was cooled
- Chris and Elaine (8/5): - Picturesque setting in the mountains.
- C (10/5): - It’s a very unique property
- Susana (10/5): - Beautiful scenery with a bit of history. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet the room was with the door closed since the hotel is by the highway
- Abdul (10/5): Great fun stay with family friends. - Greta view from Balcony to Garden. No Air conditioning
- Florence Gay (6/5): - Exterior and outside view No aircon, exterior really old and some have smell
- Jacquie (6/5): OK but could have been better - What a great location for a resort, surrounded by beautiful scenery and such a great lake for swimming after a hot day. There were lots of hidden treasures both in the hotel itself and the ghost town. No air con (although a fan was provided). No toiletries in the room - not even a bar of soap for hand washing. The restaurant was a disappointment - although the service was good, the menu was not. Breakfast was non-existent.
Missed opportunities for an isolated resort to capitalize on.
