• LisaL6469 (10/5): Great one night stay - It was updated and we had a nice stay. We’re top tier members and he matched my online rate and upgraded us to dbl queen with a small kitchenette. The beds were comfortable and there’s a small continental breakfast in the morning. It was perfect for a single night stay. The room is tight at 450 square feet so you have to use it as it’s organized. There were 2 of us and we could have cooked but we didn’t have any pots or pans. I didn’t think to ask at the office so we went to Taco John’s and brought food back. The shower was a tube shape without a tub. It was awkward but clean. I’m 5’7 and 120 lbs and could barely turnaround in it. I would consider putting in a hose instead of the shower head. There wasn’t a way to move the shower head. The only other thing was we smelled curry from somewhere else cooking, I’m sensitive to that and I didn’t smell it when we checked into the room but about an hour after we checked in I smelled it that evening and it just hung in there all night even into the morning plus I had the exhaust in the bathroom running.

Upon arrival we realized that all rooms have doors to the outside which would not work for us as we were traveling with someone with special needs. Upon arrival we were met by a very professionally dressed manager who took time to show us a few different rooms in the property. The rooms were completely renovated and immaculately clean. The front desk area was welcoming and even had fresh flowers at the desk. The manager was very kind, professional and understanding. We would have stayed there if it hadn't been for the outside doors. This may have been a former Motel 6 but the new management has completed updated the property and it just needs new signage. It's very clear that the management takes great pride in this property. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. It's perfect for travelers or truck drivers and very clean. Thank you.

• BeerLove (2/5): The Worst $63 I’ve Ever Spent – Avoid at All Costs - This hotel should be condemned. I booked through Priceline and arrived at 10 PM after a grueling 9-hour drive, only to be greeted by a building that looked abandoned. No cars in the parking lot, a pile of discarded mattresses, and an atmosphere of utter neglect. But the nightmare only began there. I checked in and was handed a key to a room that was worse than I could have imagined, even for a budget roadside stay. The floors and walls were filthy, the AC was a cheap rolling unit, and the room was riddled with chips, holes, and a ceiling that looked ready to collapse. Everything was coated in dust. But the worst was yet to come. When I turned down the bed, I discovered hair everywhere—long strands, pubic hair, you name it—clearly indicating the bedding hadn't been washed. The pillow had a disgusting stain, possibly blood or pus. This room was not just dirty; it was unsanitary. In an attempt to salvage the situation, I tried turning on the TV, but it was completely non-functional. After fiddling with it and realizing even the remote was broken, I went to the front desk for help. What followed was a frustrating, infuriating exchange with a clueless and unhelpful attendant who was clearly in over his head. I requested a refund. Denied. I asked for another room. They had none. I pleaded for clean sheets. He finally brought me one flat sheet, apparently unaware that beds require more than one sheet. When I pointed this out, he stared blankly, showing an utter lack of comprehension or care. The bottom line: This hotel should not be in business. It’s filthy, unsafe, and staffed by people who are completely unprepared to assist guests. You’re better off sleeping in your car than staying here.

• Jose (2/5): Worst stay of my life!!!! - The guy at the front desk is rude yelled at me cause I left my key in the room at 7 am. The lobby doesn’t open till 9am. He gave me another key and it canceled my other 2. I went to ask for the other keys to be reset and he got mad. That key stopped working the following day so I had to go back to as for another key. He yelled at me and said that was the last key I was going to get. I got there on Wednesday and they didn’t clean my room until Sunday because I chased down the house keeper and asked if she would clean our room. She said “ I will clean it but I can get in trouble. We are not allowed to clean rooms until you move out. “ They are tearing out drywall and and insulation from all the rooms around us so the room gets dusty really quick. The lady did a good job at cleaning the room and by the next morning everything was dusty again. I’m still here in rock springs but I moved to a different hotel.

It should be closed until finished but they are still renting rooms and it was very unpleasant. Our room had a portable AC which did not keep the room cool. The water pressure was very, very low and there was no lock on our door. If iit s wasn't so late we would have moved on. Give it a year or so and maybe it might be different?

But our reason for leaving was because after 4 attempts we could not get a key to work to even open the door. Desk clerk even tried. I can't evaluate the room because did not enter. Clerk said there would be no charge but he charged my debit card anyway. Am going to try to get it back. Would recommend Quality Inn instead. Nice and clean! .
• Danny (6/5): Curious what it will be like when done - The hotel is under major renovations. So normal operations seem to be a bit lacking. Stained towels, exterior of building in disrepair. Their road sign has a weekly rate they will not honor saying it is broken. It has been broken for a year.

Almost all the rooms were being worked on and there was a lot of insulation and other things that were from the rooms being gutted all over the property. The pool has been filled in with cement, we lost power in our room 3 times because we were told you can’t use the AC unit in the room and the Microwave at the same time. The toilet leaked when you would flush, there was little to no water pressures and holes in the walls they just stuffed paper towel in to fill them. I understand you get what you pay for but this was possibly the worst place I have stayed at.

• Daryl (2/5): - Worst motel ever. Door locks for room didnt work staff had to get the door opened, should have been the first clue. After that missing bath towels and dirty face, hand towels and shower mat left out for use. Staff said they didnt have any small towel at first and provided bath towels. Ended up leaving after 5 hours, 2 of the 5 hours were spent at dinner, after the cops showed up next door for another visitor. So bad i didnt wait for a refund. Terrible

• Kelly (2/5): WORST MOTEL - It was AWFUL. The manager was so totally rude and condescending every time I had to deal with him. I drove 17 hours through the night because I was staying a month. He absolutely would not let me check in early and I got to town at 1130-12. I had a space heater for heat and it snowed the first 2 days I was there. After the first week it warmed up and I had no ac. I was told to open the window. I’m a day sleeper so u can imagine just how much sleep I got with the window open blowing hot air in, hearing every word spoken including some man near my door screaming at his kid. The final straw on a Sunday afternoon I was laying in my bed sweating and he walked into my room. No knock no nothing. That’s just a few of the highlights. I will NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER EAPECIALLY ROCK SPRINGS WYOMING

• Peggy (2/5): - The air conditioning was out in all the ground floor rooms. The room they tried to give me smelled so bad of cigarettes smoke that I refused to stay there. The clerk indicated I would get a refund because I did not stay there but that hasn't happened. Would not recommend at all
• Verified traveler (2/5): Bad experience. Do not stay here - Bad experience. Person at the desk was not very helpful. 1st this Motel 6 in under going re model 1st floor rooms not avaible. 2nd floor rooms had no AC, person at desk said they would bring in portable AC quickly But then key (card sensor) did not work. Person at desk came out and saw my card sensor was not working so he used his. Got me into the room, but then I realized he gave me his MASTER sensor card, I could get into any room (I checked on a couple rooms)> I went to desk and told him about giving me Master sensor card, and thought that was not a good idea (I have /had no bad intentions) He switched the card and moved me to a 3rd room . I decided it was too much hassle, and asked for a refund and went to a different hotel. When I was there another person was having difficulties with the check in person. This other person ALREADY paid for his room and it had cleared his bank. But the check in person, said that his card was not working. I do not know the outcome of this but it was not looking good. Desk check in person was not helpful and did not seem to know what he was doing
• Kelly (6/5): - The rooms were very run down. Our light fixture was missing a light bulb and falling off the wall. Our bathroom ceiling had drywall torn apart and open holes. The room hadn't been moped in recent days. Our nightstand was missing. No grass area for pets, we had to leave the property to walk our dog. We love Motel 6, but this location needs tlc.
• Lorena (4/5): - Nobody in the office. I waited about 20 minutes before someone showed up. My confirmation charge from Expedia was $63.73 and the clerk said no and charged me $89.00. I was very upset. I filed a complaint with Expedia.
• Iana (2/5): - I booked a room with 2 beds they gave me a room with 1 bed and tried to lie they didnt have any other rooms available. Contacted expedia and they said they called this place and they told them i got a room with 2 beds and will not refund..
• james (2/5): Scam - When to motel 6 the room was dirty towels had stain carpet had not been vacuum the shower still had water in it toilet had not been clean when if they had aother and got told no even though it had its vacancies on so i had to book a different hotel thier special is a scam

• 108carols (2/5): Worst Motel 6 experience ever - The worst experience at a Motel 6 ever. Spent months transversing the US, staying at Motel 6, the pet friendly hotel. The Rock Springs, Wyoming charged me $40 (cash) for two dogs. The room was dirty; lights didn’t work, microwave didn’t work, Wi-Fi didn’t work; towels looked like rags. If you have a choice, don’t stay here!
• Kevin (4/5): - Serviceable. Great bargain if you are traveling alone and just need a clean bed for the night. Surprisingly though, it had a functioning mini-fridge and microwave. And a plug-in electric heater because I guess central HVAC wasn't working. Hint: do not try to run heater and microwave at the same time. Booked and paid for the room through Orbitz, but apparently Motel 6 had trouble collecting from Orbitz. So Motel 6 charged me separately, and said it was my problem not theirs. Took me an hour and a half to resolve -- not great since I had a 1000-mile drive ahead of me. I guess you have to pay extra for a polite and helpful front desk.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Worst stay ever! - Very disappointing. The check-in clerk was not friendly at all. My grown son had to push the door really hard with his shoulder to get it to open. There were no wash cloths or a trash can in the room. The towels looked like they were really old and worn out. There was no AC. Luckily for us the temps were only in the mid 60's. The room had two double beds and they were jambed against the walls. They had two ice machines and neither of them worked. The only decent thing was the price. We've stayed at a lot of Motel 6's and always had a good experience. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place.
• JOSEPH (2/5): - Do not stay here! Or room didn’t even have a working smoke detector. I don’t even think that’s legal! When I asked to be moved to a room that had one, I was told they were full up even though no one was or is here. The light fixtures are stained or shredded. The ac doesn’t work. The light in the bathroom flickers so much, it’s a good thing I’m not prone to seizures. This property should be permanently removed from all reputable platforms.

• PeteD1186 (6/5): OK. Middle of the road Motel 6 - We stay at Motel 6 a lot because we travel with our pup. This one was very average for a Motel 6. No major issues but nothing really great either. Room clean but older furnishings. Bathroom had been remodeled but the shower was pretty small. No good place to walk our dog. Like I said, average.
• Robert (2/5): No water at motel 6/no cancellation allowed - It has been a while since I wrote a bad review for a motel, but I had a big issue with this property. Arrived into town, booked a room minutes before pulling into the Motel 6, and tried to check in. The evening manager said that the water had been off for a while because of a frozen pipe (it is Wyoming in the winter) and that he recommended I cancel and stay elsewhere because there was no estimate of when the water would be running again. The plumber told me outside, when I was booking another room, that it would be a while and it would be wise to go elsewhere. The plumber and the front desk were in a small argument and it is after 9 PM; not a good sign. I contacted Hotels.com customer service the next morning and told them of the issue. The Motel 6 Rock Springs manager decided he was going to deny the request for my cancellation that could get my one nights stay money back. I do not think this is fair at all; that person knew about lack of water and I don't know how 2 people could have used the toilet, let alone shower or get a drink of water. Things happen, especially in frigid weather, and ethical businesses look beyond a cancellation policy and make things right. Sad that you decided to keep the money; you didn't really have a motel room to rent.
• Troy (10/5): Perfect cheap motel - It’s perfect!!!! It’s a cheap stay, all I needed.
• Beverly (4/5): - The floors were dirty. We walked around in our socks and the bottom of the socks were blackened. Flimsy cheap washcloths. Outside area around door was dirty. Mattress on bed was uncomfortable. Very disappointed. Will not be staying there again.

• T4042HDjamesb (10/5): Thank you very much good job - I was having issues with my Mac book having a internet glitch so I took it down to the front desk Motel staff helped me get connected very friendly I appreciate there help excellent customer service.
• Vivian (4/5): - Curtains were not all the way hooked on the rod, no wash clothes, no soap, shampoo, etc. Refrigerator smelled and freeze was full of water, very few options on TV for children and not the cleanest. And, No coffee pot but did have a small microwave. No heat but the office furnished a space heater. Outside was not maintain and several piles of dog poop. And, for some reason he charged me about $20 less then i was quoted online, which made it a little more in comparison.
• Gwen (4/5): - Blankets smell like pet urine and had stains. Heat did not work and it was very cold. Bed was very hard and garbage all over the grounds outside.
• Dennis (8/5): - This is an older Motel 6 undergoing extensive renovation. Our room was the classic Motel 6 room, clean, comfortable and basic. No complaints. A good stay at Motel 6 price.
• Daniel (4/5): No Heat/AC - We had two rooms, and the AC/Heat didn’t work in either.
