Guest Reviews
- Ralph (6/5): - Some maintenance issues were needed. Wasn’t real clean. Bed was uncomfortable. Foul Oder. Located nicely next to freeway.
- Seya (2/5): - It felt very unsafe.
- Cameron (2/5): Crime scene - This was a dusgusting location. The room had holes in the walls, a used band-aid on the wall, a broken thermostat, only one towel, graffiti. I could go on. Remove this sh!thole from your website.
- Randi (2/5): Don't stay here - The condition of the motel is very run down, stairways and parking areas had lots of trash around, room wasn't clean, graffitti on the walls and mirror, heater vent was off, vent in bathroom was hanging off the wall, window frame was broken, curtains had holes in them, only 1 bath towel for 2 people. Bed was comfortable and the tv worked but that was the only good thing about it.
- Sarah (2/5): Policy and procedure OR hustle and theft? - I booked this room on Hotels.com, did the non refundable because I was literally in the parking lot when I booked it (yes, for the discount) - I walked inside the lobby and the woman wanted government id for everyone with me - including my young niece who has none, when I explained we did not have the requested docs, she told stated that was a none negotiable and that it was best she cancel and refund my room right then because she would be kicking everyone without valid id off property either way. I was frustrated but appreciated her no nonsense attitude and honesty prior to losing money- so I thought…. It’s now been almost 2 weeks and no refund or response to any attempts to communicate with that office since. What seemed to be a mutual understanding and simple solution to the situation, was any but. Basically I lost almost 100$ for reasons beyond my control, and they were able to pocket the cash, and probably rent the room again immediately after, making it quite a profitable little “policy” for such a run down and sketchy motel.
- Bryan (10/5): Motel 6 Midvale - Once again Motel 6 Midvale, Utah delivered. Room was clean so clean my white socks didn't get dirty. Front desk attendant allowed me to check in 30min early and the room was clean and smelled wonderful. Heater worked showers were clean under the bed was clean toilet clean no drug paraphernalia floor was immaculate. TV worked lights worked and the grounds were kept clean. Thank You Motel 6 for yet another great experience. To the front desk attendant Your awesome. I believe her name is Maria. If that's wrong I apologize. Thank you for your kindness.
- Bryan (10/5): - Front desk attendant who's name escapes me was absolutely excellent, friendly and helpful.
- Sean (6/5): - When I first arrived they gave me a key card to upstairs because the entire bottom of the building heat is off I go to the room and open it just to see I just walked into a occupied room I went back and got a new room the room was poorly cleaned but overall satisfied
- Melissa (4/5): - They were extremely rude!! We ended up not even checking in or staying there.
- Robert (2/5): - When I arrived they told me that I had requested a room with a refrigerator. I said yes. The lady said well we have a room with a working frig but there is no heat in the unit. She asked if that would be ok. I told her no it was Jan 14th in Utah. She said well let me see. She said she could upgrade me. When I got to room I left my bags went for dinner. When I came back and looked at room closer it was dusgusting. There were gaps in front door where you could feel draft from ouside. There were blood stians on bedding along with many many other stains I dont even want to know what from. The restroom was dirty and when I turned the heat on it sounded like a old car trying to die. I packed up my things and left. wenty to front desk and told her my issues and that I wanted to leave she would not refund. I was trying to save a little money but will never do that again. This place should be condemed. I have video of the room if you want it. I would not assciate your business with this place. I ended up moving to La Quinta in South Jordan it was $50 more per night but it was great. As a matter of fact Im going back there in March and will stay there for sure.
If you could get a refund for me from motel 6 that would be great.
- philip (4/5): disappoint not motel 6 standard - very disappionted not up to motel 6 standard
room was warm
not given room ordered online service third country communist!
- Hanif (2/5): - Too cold, not heat in 20 degree weather
- Carlene (10/5): - If your a stay over they don't clean the room or replace tissue...
- Chad (2/5): - There was no microwave there's no refrigerator the ice machines didn't work and the heater didn't work. It was cold very cold. I got the place to get in Out of the cold spend couple extra dollars if possible And stay at one of the many places located directly Next door
- Trevor (6/5): Area - Rough area
- Verified traveler (8/5): Motel 6 Motive - The only part of my entire stay and did not sit well with me, was that on my second night of my stay 12-9-23 as i was about to exit my car after parking it I was approched by a security cop guy and he said exactly this " I'm going to go ahead and guess that you dont have a room here". I was a bit confused by what he had said and after his repeating it i informed him i was in fact a registered guest and and did he want my room number and that i also have my parking pass placed on my dash as i was instructed. After hearing this and my friend walking up to take my dog inside the room he mumbled what i thisk was an apology and then got in his car and drove off. I am very pleased that there is security guards on duty at night although i would hope they be more people friendly. His words of choice were more like an accusation rather than an inquiry. He alarmed me rather than me feeling safe. Im truly love staying at this same hotel and enjoy my peaceful time there. I was a bit bothered by this paticular situation but overall it was an awesome stay and great service. Motel 6 Motive
- Trevor (6/5): Rough - Little rough in the area room is fare
- Carlene (10/5): - Quiet clean place
- David (4/5): - Heat did not work well so we were cold. Also, we had a mouse in the room that we saw and heard... Not good.
- Crystal (2/5): - Roaches, filthy mattresses, invading of privacy , very rude . Stained towels with blood and urine . Fridge is not cold enough for food . Staff has really bad attitudes upon asking for cleaner sheets and towels., harassment from the security guards and front desk managers and sexual harassment which was reported yet nothing was ever done . Homeless people or those on drugs trying to open your door throughout the night ., outside and conjoined door. People breaking into the rooms cops called there constantly , stray dogs running around . No heat no AC , water leaking inside from the windows on to the bed. They do their own personal charging as far as your stay not the online or regular $amount . Let’s just say you’re better off spending that $100-200 nightly stay at a respectable cleaner hotel it’s worth it to sleep somewhere safe especially if you have children to protect .
- Chris (2/5): - 30 degrees heater not working,
Have TV but no remote, staff didn’t know what he doing..
- Gamaliel (2/5): - So bad and so dirty
- Scott (2/5): - No working TV. Front desk lady was very nice, but the place is rough.
- Shellie (6/5): - In my room there was no way to cool it down. I tried the thermostat but it just kept getting hot. Window was permanently sealed shut and couldn't open it.
- Rhonda (2/5): - We travel from Oregon to Florida and back every year and rely on Motel 6 for our stays. We know what to expect since my husband and I both have worked at them. This one didn’t offer morning coffee and had two ice machines both of which were broken. One actually had leaves in it and it was indoors. Needless to say, this property is giving the Motel 6 a bad reputation.
- Galaad (4/5): - Room had cockroaches and mice running around. I had to plug holes with bathroom towels so the mice would not come in. Floors look like they have not been moped and rat feces was found behind the furniture. I had to throw my food outside in the trash because mice climbed on the furniture. Mattress covers had cigarette burns on them and drapes were dirty.
I liked that is was pet friendly and the bed was comfortable.
- Galaad (4/5): - My bathroom door had a hole and needed repair.
- Silas (4/5): - As soon as we parked the car the sucurity guard at night comes and knocks on our car window. He’s as rude as you can imagine and even swears at us while we are trying to get ready to go check in. The receptionist was very nice and understanding when we told him about the experience. On our way to the room the security guard follows us and passes by our room three times within a few minutes. Least to say I slept in that room more worried about the security coming and breaking in to our room more than anything else.
- Markley (6/5): - The room was OK but there’s no AC was freezing
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room was dirty, cigarette burns on the bedding, noisy, people coming and going at all hours, lots of sketchy seeming people hanging out by my vehicle, checking it out. The door of the room didn’t seal properly so it was cold, no toiletries. The list goes on. Lesson learned, will not stay here again
- Andrew (10/5): - Cute and well maintained.
- julie (8/5): - There was no air conditioning, the room was hot. There was no wash cloths, the fridge was leaking water all over the floor.
- Anthony (2/5): - Horrible stay no air conditioning
- kaylene (8/5): Better than expected - For motel 6 I was surprised no remote control for TV and I paid extra online for a fridge and microwave in my room and it did not have either one I was tired so I just went to bed room was decent and clean otherwise.
- Dawnell (2/5): Nightmare at motel 6 on friday the 13th - The heater Didn't work. The front staff was extremely rude. If you complain about the AC, then your heater doesn't work. I wanted to cancel my reservation, they told me i couldn't and was rude about it. I'm never staying there again. I'd rather sleep in my car, then stay there again.
- Benjamin (4/5): - The hotel is old the rooms are import condition fixtures broken The floor was sticky The AC and heater did not work The staff was kind of rude and the nightly rate was ridiculous for what you get. It's in a very sketchy area with lots of people high on drugs walking all over the place but it's in an area with lots of restaurants and there's a WinCo next to it so it's convenient in that way but it's in an area where you probably don't want to walk much if you don't have to. It is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at and I hope I never have to stay there again.
- Rajesh (2/5): - Room was not clean, floors were sticky. Our bed had only one pillow and when asked the staff mentioned they'll send someone soon and they never came! Bathroom was not in good condition, flush wasn't proper, sink did not drain well.
Not recommended
- Malcolm (2/5): - Dirty, not cleaned, only sheets inthe bed, very cold room and unable to change temp. For some reason there was bite marks on the toilet seat. Avoid this one.
- Tiffany (2/5): - I love the ladies that work in house keeping they are so nice and helpful . Ive been going motel 6 on 7200 do for over 21 year's now and house keeping knows how to run the that place they know what they are doing and they have good customer service skills
- Kathy (4/5): - Hole in wall in room from fist punch. Room needs new entry door, warped does not close easily.
- Cassidy (2/5): - The room we stayed in needs serious remodeling, or upkeep. No shampoo or conditioner, it was cold and the heater in the room didn’t work, we had blood stained sheets, no vents covering the fan in the bathroom, the floors looked like they needed to be mopped.
- Alex (2/5): - This is by far the nastiest and most horrid hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The place is run down, absolutely filthy, and riddled with crime. The non-smoking rooms smell like they’ve been smoked in for 1,000 years. The blood splatter stains on the curtains and ceiling are a nice touch. Oh, and we really admired the roaches that came crawling out from under the bed. We also enjoyed walking past the rooms with the curtains open where you could see drug paraphernalia sitting on the nightstand in the wide open. Want to have tweakers knocking on your window (that won’t lock shut) all night? Then this is the place for you!
- Anthony (2/5): - TV was smashed like someone took a bat to it. No toilet seat. Bathroom door was broken and didn’t close. “Interesting” folks hanging around the hotel. Blood stains on curtains
- David (2/5): - Rooms in need of simple repairs. Beds without blankets. Unclean. Staff not competent in sales or management. Etc.
- jamie (10/5): - Ive had a wonderful stay for my first time and felt I was in a safe area and had a full night's sleep cause wasn't noisy outside from people.
- Stephen (10/5): - Fast, easy, simple. Got in got out no problems
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The only downside was no blanket and only one pillow on the bed for a married couple in town for a wedding
- Trevor (2/5): - Rude attendant at check-in. Stained mattress. Blanket had cigarette burns on it. Room was freezing cold. Enough to remind me never to stay at another Motel 6.
- Adriana (2/5): - HORRIBLE SERVICE, THEY DIDN'T GET US GET CHECKED IN AND I NEVER GOT REFUNDED. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!
- Dana (2/5): - Nothing but drugs in parking lot and bums in lot trash everywhere. Would not recommend to anyone
- Kyle (2/5): - Took 6 trips to front desk to ask for towels: the parking lot is full of people dealing using drugs. Swimming pool shut down as people were using needles
- Mary (4/5): - Young man at desk was pleasant and helpful but he was the only one there, so check-in wait was about 30 minutes. Property had trash and broken glass around, rooms were dingy with exposed greasy, dusty bathroom fan, stains on sticky floors, stains on bed skirting, peeling and delaminating baseboards, dirt in corners. Shower sprayed sideways from fixture, out above shower curtain into bathroom. Air conditioning was not fully effective, and its fan was noisy.
- Loa kay (2/5): Not a place to stay - The cleark told me the AirConditionar was not working, it was raining and cool night si I thought it would be fine. I arived around 9 and I had to do registration through the late night window. You could not hear the person registering. His english was poor and it took forever to get registered. There were several people standing and waiting, it became real awkward. When I got to my roon there were loud noises coming from the heating and airconitioning unit. I figured out how to turn it of and that helped but I could still hear the o e next door. The small refridgerator was frosted up till you couldnt even see the freezing compartment, there was a hole kicked in the bathroom door no place to plug in charging units and pretty much disgusting. I have and do star at motel 6 often this was not a good experience.
- Harry (6/5): - Air conditioner was out did not stay
- Saul (2/5): - Terrible service, no air-conditioning, and very unsafe area.
- Dan (2/5): - Terrible!!! I came to check in and the reception guy told me AC doesn’t function im the hotel, and all windows can’t be open, the place looks like slams scary and dangerous, I think this hotel should be shut down automatically, I had to leave and search to another place late night
- Travis (2/5): - Totally untidy. Unsafe. No ice. No A/C. That is all I can say because every time I try to tell the truth about this place it says I have to revise my comment. Don't trust these comments because they won't let you be honest at all. Expedia is doing you a disservice. Almost as disappointing as this hotel....almost.
- Veronica (2/5): Will never stay here again - The air conditioner was not working on any room there were rooms with broken windows and really dirty swimming pool
- Ernest (4/5): - Didn't like that they didn't have the air conditioner working at all and it was through out all of the rooms.
The owner should of been on top it being all fixed and with the hot weather, it was horrible.
- Kelle (4/5): - This was a harsh reminder to always read the most recent reviews & not trust Expedia's rating system. What's the deal with Expedia search results displaying ratings higher than the rating scale? I just needed a cheap bed for the night as I was driving through, so I expected old & run down--no big deal for me. Expedia search results for this price range showed this property as "6.4/5 - Exceptional!" & many other motels listed this way. I thought, "hey, maybe it's a surprisingly good Motel 6." Nope. I should've looked more closely. When I arrived at 1 AM after a long day of driving, it was still 80° outside & I was told there was no AC in the rooms. I asked if the window opened & was told no, but I could leave the door open. A woman traveling alone sleeping in a motel with the door open!? No thanks. I should've been informed of the AC outage the instant I booked online 2 hours earlier & given an option to be refunded. That could be a serious health issue for some people. I asked to check the room to see how hot it was. As I walked past other rooms, there were in fact many with their doors open, some playing loud music and TVs. I checked my room & decided I could manage to sleep there--I'd be hot, but I was tired & unlikely to find another place at that time of night. With the door shut I couldn't hear much of the noise outside. The room itself, besides being hot, had a cockroach, a sink that wouldn't drain because the plug was stuck down, dirty surfaces, & hair on the bedding.
- Stephanie (2/5): Don’t book - A/C wasn’t working and it was 100 degrees with 2 kids.
- Jennifer (2/5): - No air conditioning. We didn't even check in. I'd like my money back.
- Autum (6/5): Meh - Well had a hard time checking in, I think the guy was new because it was prepaid and he kept trying to run my card again. Also got some glass stuck in my foot in the room so that sucked
- Sylvia (2/5): - The staff are not helpful. They will not answer their phones.
- Brian (2/5): - No AC
- Braden (2/5): - No ac and there was sketchy people everywhere.
- Richard (2/5): - Motel 6 in Midvale Utah IS A PIG STYE!!@
DO NOT STAY HERE!!
NOISY, DANGEROUS, HOMELESS DRUG ADDICTS, HORRIBLE SERVICE, BROKEN AC ETC. ETC
- Annette (4/5): No AC - The air conditioner was out the pool was broken, none of the lights had shades. The phone was an old broken one that wasn't even hooked up. Then a cockroach climbed out of the shower in the morning.
The poor beds were hard and we slept terrible.
- Erika (2/5): - The ac was busted so we didn't even stay there. Felt very run down and dingy just from the lobby/outside of the building.
- Komasquin (2/5): - This hotel sucks they still charge full price for rooms with no working air they don't tell u this till u arrive so ur stuck with hot room ice machines don't work they don't even provide fans pool is dirty and all there is plenty of r drug dealers in hall ways and prostitutes what a waste of money they trap u like a fly
- Jennifer (2/5): Awful - Smelt awful- cigarettes even tho it was a nonsmoking room. The door’s lock in latch was broken. Along with the air conditioner.
- John (2/5): - Unfriendly night staff, was not told AC was not working, some heavy, itinerant clientele passing through. Room smelled strange, this place needs some work to get back up to Motel 6 standards.
- Charlotte (2/5): - This was a Ghetto Motel 6. They AC was being serviced blowing warm air. The swimming pool was being serviced also. My white socks turned black from the floor in the room. There was a bug on the bed, the bathroom sink faucet was loose and sprayed water when it was used.
- Komasquin (2/5): - Nothing the place was a big mess
- Matthew (2/5): - Property was filthy, in disrepair, bad staff. Evidently is in a bad area of town, lots of police activity. Hotel was in disrepair, staff waited until AFTER formerly checking in to let us know that the AC was not working, was middle / end of June, room was quite hot muggy and uncomfortable. Graphiti in and around stairs, massive amounts of trash in stair area as well as other parts of property. water leaking from under toilet, shower head leaked bad, staff had at some point prior to our arrival tried to fix shower head by wrapping with aluminum foil. Did not sleep worth a crap, the most uncomfortable beds we have ever seen. Definitely will NOT be staying here again, do not recommend to anyone.
- Rodney (2/5): - It’s a dirty filthy crack house… I could stay the night it was so bad
- Don (2/5): - The room was run-down, noisy and people coming and going in the room next to ours.
- Christopher (2/5): - Non-smoking room had clearly been smoked in. AC unit did not work making the room at least 10 degrees warmer than outside. Just a very unpleasant experience.
- Michael (2/5): - If you are a drug user then you would probably be in heaven if you stayed here because that is all there is. I saw people doing drugs under the stairs, walking around high, and multiple fights. Some of the fights were early in the morning, so if you don’t have an alarm clock, that’s probably a good thing too. The air conditioning did not work in my room either, so I’m sure I lost a few pounds sweating constantly. I’ve been traveling for close to 15 years — this place is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to. On a positive note, the prostitutes were amusing, so at least I laughed a little bit during my stay. If only I could post video reviews. . .
- Brandy (2/5): - The place looked nothing like the pictures! The rooms were appalling! They smelled! There were stains on the bedding, walls, ceiling... everything! People were up to who knows what in the parking lots all hours of the day! The police were there 3 times in the first hour we were there. And a repossession agent on the day we checked out.... which was a day early. We were given a smoking room that we didn't ask for that had actual burn holes in the sheets, and smelled like an actual ashtray. The staff referred to me as "that lady" when i checked out.. which was very unprofessional. Did not ask for refund on the way out.... just wanted to check out.
- Verified traveler (2/5): I don't normally leave reviews. - The motel 6 at Midvale has been a surprising experience - just not in a good way. While it is cheaper than most options out there in the wild, this particular location you don't really get what you pay for. What we did get were prolific spots and stains of questionable origin, accompanied by the sound of screams and fights coming from just outside the door that prevented us from resting easy, to the point of having to leave around 5am, after just 4 hours, seeing our car seat as the better accommodation, if it wasn't for the gentleman that attempted to break into our vehicle while my wife was still inside as I was checking in, then promptly left when realized there was someone still inside. Greeting me at the front desk was a very tired young lady and a couple of individuals who were clearly under the influence of either alcoholic beverages or other nasty stuff that comes to mind. Surrounding the area were also working girls, if you know what I mean. We asked for a refund of the second night we were supposed to be staying there and found another hotel, which, for only 10 bucks more, was - and I'm saying this full heartedly - completely worth it. In conclusion, our stay at the motel 6 at Midvale was a Veritable nightmare, and one experience that we won't make the mistake of repeating.
- Delicia (2/5): - Horrible, I will never stay here again, They’re are literally people staying under the stairs on the property. No ice buckets, Small rooms. My kids are scared to go outside cause of all the people just hanging around. Definitely NOT worth the money. I can’t believe it cost me 120$ to stay here.
- Page (6/5): - It was late at night and there were lots of people milling about the property, sitting on stairs, smoking. I kept being woken up because someone would whistle really loud and yell. The shower head was extremely low flow. There were no hangers to hang my clothes on, but there was a screw sticking out from the bathroom door so I could hang my towel. Not recommended for a woman traveling alone.
- Beate (2/5): Terrible stay - My son traveled from texas to WA,and i booked this place it looked ok online. He said it was surrounded by drug attics in frint, around and in the motel. No soap or shampoo in room. Moldy shower curtain and just overall a not clean environment. Yes the amount of cost for 1 night was low, so it was not expected to be a top notch place, but mold is not acceptable at any time! And i shouldn't be afraid in my room to sleep because ppl knocking on doors.
- Nathan (8/5): - Nice, friendly, family type atmosphere. Just be careful of who you trust. There were hackers at this location that where able to get some of my information on my phone and computer. It’s a password protected Wi-Fi, but is open, so always recommend to spend the money for a VPN/Proxy server app for your electronics.
- Sandra (10/5): - Campus was very nice and clean and very spacious looked kinda like a park
- Isi (2/5): - Gay
- Nathan (10/5): - It’s a Motel 6, not The Ritz. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Great experience to date.
- John (4/5): - Hooker and drug dealer traffic all night. People pounding on doors. Not a good scene. Maybe got 2-3 of rest all night. Worried about our car getting stolen or burglarized. Spent condoms in the parking lot and broken glass in the driveways.
- Natasha (2/5): - This place was a disaster. We were just looking for somewhere to sleep and then get back on the road. We got in around 2am. The room we got smelt of cigarettes and was dirty. You can tell it was cleaned by someone because the bed were made but the bathroom sink had gunk in it.
We were woken up at 3:40am because a “worker” was trying to get into our room. I did not feel safe enough to fall back asleep.
I would have asked for a refund but I booked on here and knew they wouldn’t.
- Courtney (4/5): - Smells like cigarettes. And the room is extremely hot, even when the thermostat is turned to the off position.
- Tyler (4/5): - It was supposed to have a refrigerator and it did not.
- daniel (6/5): - On the property -quite a bit of police activity both undercover and in marked vehicles
- Aspen (2/5): - This property is so ghetto. On your app it seems so nice but it’s the exact opposite. The sheets were filthy and had major stains all over them, there was blood on the bathroom floor and on the walls. There was a BULLET hole in one of the walls. There were also a giant amount of druggies sitting outside of the hotel all night and they kept starting at us. Oh and the door to our room doesn’t even close all the way. We spent all of 5 minutes in the room before we just left. I wouldn’t be able to sleep with all of that stuff that was going on there and I booked this hotel to be closer to the hospital I was getting my kidney removed at. We ended up going home and having to drive an hour and a half at 3 AM for my surgery. This hotel being the way it is we had no choice but to go home.
- Christopher (4/5): -
- Rebecca (2/5): - Room wasn’t cleaned at all. Tweakers and prostitutes freely roaming the property. It wasn’t safe at all
- Ronoldy (10/5): - Nice place
- Max (2/5): sketchy and unsafe old style motel. - Ths place was a dump. I only stayed one night and left because I was so sketched out here. There were homelss hanging out outside my door and the whole property. It also seemed as a half way house based on the tennants around the property. I had to call security 3 times at both day and night. I was woken up by gutter punks starting at 4am on because they decided they wanted to have disucssions and smoke by the hotel doors. If you want to feel and get a peaceful sleep this is not the place for you. I had all my gear in my car and throught it was going to get stolen all night.
- Kiley (8/5): - Its right off the freeway, that's what I like best about it!
Next to Denny's for quick breakfast too.
