Guest Reviews
- Jason (8/5): Great money for value accommodation tucked away in a lovely part of the ranges. - The location was perfect to proximity to an event we had on at another venue in the area. The price was great value. It's a no frills type accommodation and it had exactly what we needed for our weekend getaway. If you are looking for a good quality accommodation at a good value, then look no further. It's an older type accommodation and it has not got the current modern methods for keeping the cold out of the room of a night time, however, there is a in-room heater and split system heater that warm the room up nicely pretty quick. The main foyer and hallways of the accommodation have ducted heating, so it was comfortable.
- Harris (10/5): - The views were beautiful đ
- Andrea (6/5): Okay stay - Good value for money

- Christine (9/5): For an overnight stay it was perfect. Coffee available 24/7 - Peaceful, close to venue we were attending
Able to get a coffee anytime was in room but also in area near the bar Like a rabbit warren lots of corridors
- Caroline (8/5): Facilities great, roads leading to it .. not so great - Property was excellent, clean and comfortable Location. Very dark and one way narrow streets to drive down.
Was a bit scary in the dark driving on a single lane two way road

- Kandi3136 (8/5): - Very nice gardens and surroundings were beautiful. No fridge in my room. Rooms are pretty dated could use a nice lift to modernize the place.
- Simone (9/5): - The resort was located on a beautifully kept property, amazing backdrop! There really wasn't anything we didn't like can't fault the property.
- Suzanne (8/5): Amazing. Had a wonderful weekend. Thank you. - Close to wedding venue. Great facilities for the price. Felt it was good value. Could hear others in the hallways easily.
- Guest (1/5): -

- Chinhoyi (8/5): - We were privileged to meet the owner. Very welcoming and friendly. Accommodated our needs with kindness. Went over and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Thank you Would have preferred one bed instead of twin beds joined together. The bed was too low for my knees

- Bella (10/5): -
- Pam (7/5): Quiet and cosy in a lovely area. - The location is lovely, very quiet and the room was warm and cosy It was unfortunate my room was so far from my car, and the outdoor stairs to and from the carpark could do with a handrail.
Also some more information about the facilities in the premises would be helpful, and food and drink options available.
- William (9/5): Great stay - Lovely secluded spot.Owner/manager was very nice. Nothing at all..

- Ibrahim (4/5): -
- Neil (9/5): -
- Gloria (9/5): Pleasantly enjoyable. - Pleasant surroundings, clean comfortable, staff helpful and pleasant. Bathroom shelving inadequate, using a towel placed on the floor to place my e.g. makeup, toothbrush, etc on.
I didnât realise it would be so isolated. Somewhat scary returning from Seville at 10pm by myself, after a family wedding. But no incidents occurred!
- Ranji (1/5): Beautiful location but Could not sleep most of the night due to noise - Beautiful location and backyard. clean and good staff Every step on the hallway reverberates through the rooms. Every door shutting, opening etc makes a huge noise disturbing guests. Something was banging, scraping, thudding extremely loudly from afternoon till about 1am
- Emilio (8/5): I would have appreciated better signage of Olinda Road, giving us confidence that we were on track - I did not stay for breakfast, but it would have been nice if a menu had been provided , showing what was available for breakfast? There needs to be much more street lighting at the rear carpark of the property, and also better signage and lighting at the front of the property.
Coffee/tea facilities need improvement
- Simranpreet (9/5): - Loved the facilities, especially the common area with pool table where you can sit, relax and have fun. The room and bathroom could've been cleaned better, we saw a few bugs and mosquitoes. But the beds were comfy to sleep.
- Jakub (9/5): -
- Jenny (10/5): - Really quiet location in the mountains. Free bottle water and fruits. Nice staff. Room is too small.
- Michael (10/5): One of the best stayâs Iâve had as I know the area well. Staff were great and friendly. Would definitely go back. - Location. Well presented room. Clean and tidy.
- Carmel (7/5): -
- Beryl (3/5): - We were not offered breakfast nor were we asked what we would like for breakfast. Size of bathroom.
The
- Warren (3/5): Be careful and aware of the limitations of this place. - Location is great. Room allocated had no "garden view". See attached photo.
Only other guests were located close to our room and the walls are thin and noisy.
Bathroom is tiny, almost unusable.
Swimming pool was unheated and freezing.
- Wendy (7/5): I liked the motel i just think they could have working tvs in the room incase you didnt want to be with other people and - I liked the common rooms I never saw any staff our tv in our room did not work there was no fridge in our room
- Chloe (10/5): -
- Paul (8/5): -
- DD (7/5): -
- Sheridan (10/5): - Amazing place
- Sian (10/5): -
- Savannah (8/5): Amazing - Location Two double beds to make a queen was uncomfortable with crack in the middle
- Mohita (1/5): - Nothing just location The room was extremely small. Location of the room was bad. We could hear noises throughout the night from other rooms. Bed wasnt comfortable . The spring made sound even when one turned. Bathroom wasn't clean up to the standard. No mini fridge or any amenity in the room whatsoever. It was awful. We cut short the trip to one night and we paid for two .
- Blair (7/5): Enjoyed our stay - Value for money
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Robin (9/5): - Beautiful location
- Kerry (5/5): too remote for my liking - big room the property is in the bush , dirt roads no street lights. there was no restaurant and no where close to buy any dinner. staff did not give any advice in regards to getting meals.
- Niru (7/5): - The location is quiet and.nice in Woods. Tea kettles are old, need replacement.
- Penny (8/5): - It was in a beautiful, quiet area
- Montagu (5/5): - Everything
- Irene (7/5): Relaxing, would recommend to family & friends - Enjoyed our stay, staff were very nice & helpful
- James (4/5): -
- Jim (9/5): - Located in a great peaceful spot away from traffic. Clean and neat. facilities are good. Plenty of parking on site. Everything was ok.
- Liliana (7/5): Was good for the purpose of our trip of attending a wedding - Next visit will be much better. We will stay in the Pet friendly room, which has the divine scenery Air conditioner remote didnât work on arrival. However, customer service gentleman told fast action and replace the remote within minutes.
- Kerry (1/5): Terrible never again - Nothing Old and tired .. I had no towels or Bathmat , a vent in the floor you could see outside , tv kept turning off .. bedside lamp would not turn on .. then buzzed and switched on .. there is no signage that says panorama .. had no idea if I was in the right place .. reception doors would not open from car park
- Quang Dai (7/5): Great hotel, great location but need to improve. - Amazing Location Some of the other customers were quite disruptive â a few were very noisy, with children running around loudly, and others even brought dogs despite them not being allowed. The staff were very kind, but perhaps a bit too lenient, as they didnât remind these guests to be considerate of others, which made our stay less enjoyable.
- Bertrand (6/5): Reasonably comfortable - Never had breakfast The TV did not work and that was very disappointing
- Bob (7/5): -
- Dale (7/5): Overall - Liked the size of the place. Being able to park front or back was good. Nobody was there. Very do as you please feel with lack of cameras, old school key to open up the door. Pool was shaded which is hard to come by. Owner was accommodating to change rooms as our room had views of the carpark We enjoyed our stay what we note was thatvtheres no elevators, Smelt like an old abandoned building, rooms need newer facilities(TV, Phone, Venetian blinds, etc). A Clean under furniture wouldn't hurt. our particular bathroom fan wasn't working and the place had bugs for days.(is in the hills so expected)
- Carlie (4/5): Nice location - Location.
Night time staff were helpful. Bed uncomfortable.
Tried 3 rooms to find one where tv kinda worked. With only ABC or SBS.
Very basic.
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): - Location was great. Bed wasnt great and moved away from the wall. Had a bar but no one manning it
- Tania Barry (8/5): - The fresh place and the neat of the gardens surrounded the retreat The carpet is outdated, but it's very clean, and the bathroom is way too small fir our likely
- Michelle (5/5): Fun but definitely not what the pictures looked like. Staff had no care and rooms were not even made up with towelsetc- - The large hall and billiard table Thread bare carpet
Lack of staff- left before 4pm and did not see anyone the next morning
No response to issues raised
Needs a makeover
Incorrect signage - dirt road- no food available.
- Michelle (5/5): Place was definitely a lot more run down than advertised, staff went missing and we were basically left alone I.the buil - Bed was firm Shower was terrible, wasnât supplied with a towel.
Room was tiny, tired and worn out- asked to move and staff didnât come back to me.
- helenmA6790PQ (10/5): Beautiful stay at Panorama Retreat Kalorama - A beautiful place to stay at, it's in the middle of a forest. Reasonable rate to stay at the Panorama retreat/resort. We had dinner in the gardens at the retreat (brought our own food), views that looked like a painting of forests. The rooms are comfortable, has air conditioning, comfortable mattress, fridge in room if you ask for it, huge shower. Got the pool to ourselves, so much fun on a warm evening. Great place to get away from stress and just relax. Beautiful scenic drives through forests. SO HAPPY after this weekend.
- Simone (5/5): - The pool. No concealed drive, singage stating another name, no dinning options , no food options or breakfast options, no room frigde, no pool towels
- cerone (5/5): -
- Jaimie (9/5): -
- Blake (10/5): Incredible Hidden Gem - Incredible location with unique characteristics for relaxing and unwinding.
It may not be perfect to everyone's liking but it was perfect for me and others who love scenery, great service from caring staff, the serenity in the evenings all in fashionable characteristics. TV reception isn't the best at times but this isn't a bad thing as there's plenty of natural entertainment to satisfy most cravings.
- MIRIA (9/5): -
- Chona (9/5): -
- Jason (7/5): - A beautiful area to stay
- David (6/5): -
- Lily (10/5): Peaceful and quiet - Loved the rooms, peaceful, beautiful gardens,
- Eve Sirinya (10/5): Stunning place! - We stayed at Panorama Retreat and Resort last night, and it was such an unexpected gem!
The place is incredibly peaceful a huge resort we happened to book randomly, and it turned out to be such a beautiful surprise.
Driving down there felt like entering another world.
We were lucky to meet the owner who looks after the place; she was so lovely and welcoming. She even took us around the resort, and the view behind the hotel was absolutely stunning surrounded by big trees and calm nature.
Weâll definitely come back again for sure!
- Avi (3/5): Had a very unfortunately difficult experience - Nice garden and location There was no body on site during night. No fridge facility in the bedroom.
Power outrage on 16 Jan 2026 at 3am until morning. No water supply. The water came back with dirt and dirty muddy water. No customer service. No one on site to help out. I used medical device and there was no power on 16th Jan 2026 at 3am. Had a sleepless night. I was scared and was only resident in the hotel.
- Fiona (1/5): It felt more like a backpackers hostel rather than a hotel. - We brought a friend and they accommodated the request for his room to be next to ours. A lot of windy roads to get to - advertised as a "panorama" hotel for it's panoramic views which is a misconception. They have an ant infestation at the entrance to the rooms from the rear carpark. The walls are so thin, the rooms are exceptionally noisy. There are gaps in the doors to the rooms that light comes in from the corridor which is on all night. The bathrooms are so small and the shower pressure is terrible. The beds are uncomfortable, none of us really got any sleep. Definitely do not recommend unless you are backpacking and don't care about any luxuries. And the staff member was rude to my partner when checking in as we arrived late (which was notified) but she was exceptionally rude about it as he was asking where the box was for picking up the AH key. And it wasn't in an obvious location. It used to go by a different name "Country Place" which was still the sign at the entrance from the road.
- Scott (5/5): Was expecting slightly better room dated and very small - Nil part of booking Very old style rooms, very small room only one beside unit limiting space to charge phone etc, reception closed at 4pm, we did receive text message about how to access locked.boz to get room key, we then had to find room in complex ourselves.
- Yingzhe (9/5): -
- Michelle (8/5): Good - it was great, very comfortable I got there a bit later in the evening and didn't realise there was no facility for getting any snacks or food. i should have read the email better.
That would have made it perfect though. even a vending machine would have been amazing.
- John (5/5): Fair value for money - Location was nice and quiet Rooms were too hot and unable to change temperature
- Dickson (10/5): -
- Sofia (9/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): Our stay fabulous and it was so peaceful and a great night sleep with no disturbance from anyone or - The location absolutely magic. Sooo beautiful and peaceful. The view was fabulous. Nothing to dislike. The road in needs work but we know councils aren't spending money.
- Sofia (10/5): The best way to embrace nature, without the additional frills - I love that this place is tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil part of the Dandenongs. We really enjoy going for hikes and exploring the local walking tracks around the Olinda Falls area. This is wonderful value for money. This is not a dislike, but just something to point out to others looking to book here. They don't have onsite food/ bar that is open.
They do have a complimentary coffee / tea station and bottled water and breakfast packs so be prepared to drive 5mins down the road to enjoy lunch / dinner offsite. This is one of the reasons why the accommodation is so affordable.
