From the time I checked in, the place felt warm and welcoming, and everything seemed well organised. The room was clean, comfortable, and properly maintained, and the staff were polite and helpful whenever I needed anything, which made the whole stay feel easy and relaxed. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the General Manager, GM Mr. Chandramouli. He was very friendly, approachable, and took personal care to make sure guests were comfortable. You don’t often see a GM interacting with guests so warmly, and his positive attitude clearly reflects in how the hotel team treats people. The food was good, the surroundings were neat, and the overall environment felt calm and guest-focused. Of course, no place is ever 100% perfect, but the genuine care and friendliness here really made a difference. I would happily recommend Shimona Lemon Tree Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with sincere hospitality. Even the food taste and quality was good since I tried some snacks and dinner as well. The location is ok since I had some appointments at MIOT. The service of the house keeping staff was good. The staff were not professional or effective. The front office manager was suppose to get back to me on certain things but he did not, I looked for him for several times and he got the message but he did not took the effort to meet me. The girls on the front desk were not professional and efficient. The standard of the hotel and rooms is far below what I have experienced 4 years back. It is not worth for the amount of money I have paid for. Booking.com should check the standards of the hotel before enlisting it in their site. The hotel rooms are not maintained properly.

Easy access to many outlets and various facilities. Had a wonderful time with family as all arrangements entertained as requested.Highly recommended.

The front desk staff were extremely professional, warm, and helpful—they made me feel genuinely welcome and ensured all my requests were handled with care. The housekeeping team did an excellent job as well—everything was spotless and well-maintained throughout my stay. Breakfast was an absolute delight—so many flavorful options, beautifully presented, and the staff were friendly, polite, and attentive, making mornings extra special. A special mention to the Slounge bar—the atmosphere was fantastic, the drinks were amazing, and the staff, especially Sreekumar and his colleague, were outstanding! Their hospitality and cheerful service made the experience memorable. Overall, it was a perfect stay—great service, delicious food, and a team that truly cares about guests. I would definitely love to return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chennai!
