Guest Reviews
- Myrna (8/5): - Hospitality and customer service was excellent Poor lighting in bathroom
- T5566USsuep (4/5): Poor Amenities and Unreliable Internet - will not be staying at this hotel again. The towels were limited and below standard. The sink was clogged, and the hot shower knob was extremely difficult to turn. Breakfast had very limited selections. The internet was unreliable — I couldn’t stay connected and had to log in repeatedly.
- Imelda (9/5): -
- Miraflor (10/5): - Beautiful establishmeny
- John david (2/5): - They stole my rolex and doesn’t even help me to locate it. All they do is delay the process. They wont even release the cctv footage to the police. I dont recommend staying at this place. The room was dirty also their drain system in the bathroom doesn't work. Youll be showering with your shower water above your foot. Disgusting.
- Joseph dennis (8/5): -
- Nielioan (8/5): meet you at the avenue - it would have been a pleasant stay should the fridge been working. it had to be replaced twice. our room smelled funny but the freshener sprayed only masked the odor for a few hours.
there was a small platter of fruits (1 piece each of banana, apple and citrus) that welcomed us as we entered our room. the ginger ale came 15 minutes late.
service crew was attentive and cheerful. shout out to ms. pearl who provided me a stationery when i requested one. she really went the extra mile to find that single sheet.
breakfast was acceptable. nothing spectacular about the delectability of their food but it would do to satisfy your morning hunger.
- flippin73 (10/5): Pleasantly Surprised - The hotel is perfectly situated at the heart of Naga’s commercial district, with a lot of interesting restaurants and fast food. I stayed in one of their executive suites and was impressed by the amenities in the room. Based on what I’ve read in previous reviews, I braced myself to a shoddy internet access but was pleasantlh surprised about the consistent and reasonably fast internet that I was able to log-in to my work’s VPN and got into a number of Teams calls.
When I’m back in CamSur, I will definitely book my reservations in this hotel. Way much better experience than what I experienced when I stayed at Villa Caceres.
- Filipinas (9/5): Excellent! - We appreciated the politeness of the staff and the room is clean.
The hotel’s location is perfect for a walk to Basilica and outside restaurants. Also very accessible to any part of the city.
- EMEGIN (8/5): - Airport shuttle was the main reason why I booked this property. Bathroom door needs improvement.
- Edward (8/5): - Internet was down 2 out of 4 days.
Restaurant is very warm, recommend more air conditioning units be installed.
Excellent staff, very friendly and responsive.
Highly recommend hotel.
Clean and comfortable.
- Craig (6/5): - Allot of the equipment did not worj
- Aison (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (8/5): - It’s kind of old
- Maria (10/5): - Staff are very responsive and respectful.
- Fiameta (10/5): - Few dining and shopping options nearby
- Christine (6/5): Service has went down over the years - Location It’s not readily prepared for guess. No face towels, no robes, no slippers and no bath towels.
- Maria (8/5): Very good - The staff was very courteous and helpful. Ian , the shuttle bus driver went out of his way to help me secure a bus ticket to Manila when my Cebgo flight cancelled.
- Amy (6/5): Not worthy for the price we paid. - The property boasts a convenient location near various dining options, while the staff provides exceptional service, catering attentively to our every need. We experienced issues with our access card, requiring frequent assistance from lobby staff. Additionally, the facilities show signs of aging, including air conditioning leaks. The breakfast selection falls short for a 4-star hotel.
- Syla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (10/5): Overall excellent. - Total great birthday experience. Room cleanliness
- ethannicolaid (8/5): Great, but didn't like the lobster. - The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Lovely rooms and facilities. The food was great but I didn't like how they cooked the lobster. Could've been just me because the lobster was a bit undercooked. The dining area was very lovely. Can tell that it's a popular place for celebrations.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -

- Leny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gienah (6/5): Pleasant - I love the pool There's some smell in the room. Maybe from the carpet.
- Madeleine (5/5): Passable - Pool area The rooms are old and not clean enough. Our room has a floor leakage so we transferred to another room
- Jemmy (10/5): Avenue Hotel stay - Happy with my stay. 4 star hotel with 5 star vibes. Great service. Free breakfast, foods were OK (mostly Filipino foods). Free shuttle to airport. Nice comfortable bed and room also with enough space. The place accessible to city center by short distance by car. Have some good restaurants and bar outside hotel.
- eddiealpip (4/5): This hotel was good before! Renovate to keep up with the times. - This hotel was one of the best hotels I've stayed in the past. However, after the pandemic, they never updated the rooms, it was sometimes full of flies, and the rooms were sometimes dirty.
The staff though is very accomodating and they will always try to cater to the needs of the customer. However, it doesn't help if the rest of the amenities was not up to par.
I would recommend that the hotel renovates its rooms as you are being left behind by the other newer hotels in the area.
- Crisolo (9/5): Superb -
- Nathan (10/5): - Great hotel and staff!
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (9/5): Superb -
- Rona (3/5): Poor - accesible dirty chairs (with stain), smelly carpet, faulty switches, and limited sockets to use for charging
- Melba (8/5): It's good - All the staff are excellent very accommodating . During our stay a lot of maintenance work.the pool. And some others.
- Sarfaz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nathan (10/5): - Staff was amazing!
- JYao55 (8/5): Next time you visit Naga, stay here! - Stayed here recently and I enjoyed the stay . Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Kudos to Rodel, Dennis, Mikay, Queenie and Tristan.
The room I got was spacious and elegantly decorated. WiFi can be a bit spotty at times. The hotel makes good use of natural light in some areas .
Starting to show its age but still a nice place to stay .
Cheers!
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Staff are fabulous.
- Kurt (6/5): Pleasant - The staff was exceptional. Above all expectations. The breakfast was good. The hotel is in need of maintenance. The pool was disgusting, no pool furniture or umbrellas, water was dirty
- Maricris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lolidie (10/5): Our new favorite when in Naga :) - -Customer Service - superb! Everyone is smiling and greeting you, helpful at all times and willing to go beyond like making sure our baggage is assisted and we are not burned by the sun with umbrella :)
-Location - at the heart of the city where you can just walk at night to find restaurants, coffee shops and pharmacy
-Breakfast - buffet with many choices and everything is delicious
-Lobby - with grand piano, unique design and welcoming ambiance
-Parking -has ample space
-Room - spacious, cold AC, has fridge, cabinet, chairs, tables and a bath tub -The window in our room (Naga river view) was dirty. I think it was not cleaned for a long time.
-Tv remote was not working and has only 1 channel.
-The pool is cold during day and night - wish it was heated .
- Josefina (7/5): Good - Good breakfast Non
- Maria (7/5): Good -
- DO ROZARIO (8/5): A good stay! - Good friendly venue. Nice restaurant food. Good location easy car parking
- David (10/5): Excellent - I watched the workers a lot. Everyone seemed to legitimately care about their specific job. The rooms director happened to be floating from one post to another handling lots of various things. The restaurant Mgr and door man referenced me by name! Not much it was all good, for what I paid. Actually exceeded expectations for the price
- Quezada (8/5): Best hotel in Naga so far - The hotel staffs are friendly and accommodating. They readily respond to your needs. There are restaurants and fast-food nearby. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The beat hotel I've been to in Naga so far😍 Overall it was a great experience
- Edwin (10/5): Wonderful stay - Breakfast food and people working in the hotel Bathtub with shower
- cholengp (8/5): Great and welcoming place to stay while in Naga - My family stayed here for a few days because of a family event. I'd say it was a pleasant stay since there's nothing majorly negative I could say about this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious enough, the lovely staff were courteous and accommodating, and I knew the hotel was a reputable one because it obviously was an events place (there were wedding pre-nup pictorials and receptions more than once everyday during our stay). Add to that an array of stores and restaurants just a few steps from the hotel made it convenient for those who want to get a quick bite nearby.
I could see myself staying here again if ever I find myself in Naga again. Great memories here.
- Mae (10/5): Exceptional -
- Satish (10/5): Exceptional -
- josesamuelr2023 (10/5): Top Notch Customer Service - I’ve been to the Avenue Plaza Hotel twice this year and same great experience.
I love the very friendly and accommodating staff from the Front Office who are also always wearing lovely genuine smiles and to the Duty Manager Mr Trestan and Front Office Manager Yani who never fail to say Hi and check how was my stay.
Kudos to all the staff, they are all friendly and willing to help especially their Director of Rooms Mr. Dennis Serrano who is very accommodating, assisted everyone in the lobby, He treated me as always like a very important guest.
Worth recommending this hotel to all my friends and family. Keep it up Avenue Plaza Hotel. I’ll be coming back for sure soon..
- Cesar (6/5): - The washroom is dimmed and not properly maintained. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
- Anonymous (10/5): It was worth it - Convenient to a lot of things None
- Anonymous (10/5): Excellent but needs improvement. - Staffs were excellent. The facility needs some face-lifting. The bathtub was so high and I felt it was not safe for use. The bathroom. Food needs more improvement. Needs to add on kakanin, longganisa, and more.
- Sammy (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent staff, super friendly. Impeccably clean rooms, perfect location. A 5-star experience
- Clarisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Florianne (2/5): Did not live up to its reputation as the best hotel in Naga City - The lobby and dining area were nice. Breakfast was okay. Staff, hospitality, and customer service were excellent. The lobby made it look like a luxury hotel, though 7-8 employees around the reception desk seemed unnecessary. Welcome drinks and snacks upon check-in were a nice touch, but could have gone without if everything else was excellent. Our room was a disappointment. Rooms badly need an update. Dirty windows and carpet. Smelled old and musty. Curtains were stuck and would not slide open. Stains on the walls. Old furniture that didn't function properly. Old style, small TV with poor channel choices and video quality. Extremely slow internet connection. Bathroom tub drained very, very slowly. Broken clothesline. Getting in and out of tub was a challenge and safety hazard for elderly and people with mobility issues. Nice size swimming pool but many pool tiles were missing which is another safety hazard. Could not work remotely due to poor internet connection. Transferred to newer hotel across the street which had better wifi and accommodations.
- Felerlaine (10/5): Since it was my birthday, there was a romantic bed set up! Towel art were on point, very much the same experience we had - My husband and I had dinner at the hotel, food and staff service were great! The room provided went beyond our expectation. They gave us a room with a nice view of the pool and gym. Nothing.
- Victor (10/5): Home away from home ! That says it all up! - It’s home away from home whenever I stay on this hotel.
Very accommodating staff Kudos to Carlo(not sure if that’s his name but he was the concierge that night) who lent me his charger for my phone! Amazing indeed!
Missing my mangoes though for bfast. None
- Renan (7/5): Good -
- Sheilla (10/5): Location is accessible to all your needs, shops, drugstore, resto and church. - Breakfast is very good, all staff were very good mannered N/a
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mylene (9/5): Feels home away from homr and staff go out of their way to make stay more comfortable 😝 - The location is great and the service even better!! Nothing! I stay here every year on my birth month :)
- Jillian (8/5): Very good -
- Jose Alvin (8/5): - It was awesome and good stay in the hotel for 5 days.
- Go18717 (10/5): Hospitality at its finest! - The hospitality and the smiling staff members are why many travelers make Avenue Plaza Hotel their choice when visiting Naga City. Providing an excellent mixture of comfort, convenience, and practicality, it offers amenities, an ideal place of relaxation, and a haven of tranquility. The location provides a variety of entertainment, including exquisite bars to unwind and decompress from an exhausting day full of fun and exciting activities. Upon arrival at Naga City airport, I was fetched by a hotel staff member. With a smiling face and friendly conversation, I learned about their positive experiences relating to their work involvement and satisfaction while heading to the airport, reflecting their longevity and loyalty to the organization.
When I arrived at the hotel's lobby, I was greeted by the hotel's staff, including the convivial security guard, who ensured the incoming guest was shaded with an umbrella. With some refreshments offered by the concierge and the on-duty managers, Mr. Dennis Serrano and Mr. Galang, thank you for making my six days stay so memorable and extraordinary. I was assisted by Miss Ariane swiftly in processing the accommodation and the different services the hotel can offer to their customers. While staying at Avenue Plaza Hotel, guests can access a 24-hour front desk, a concierge, and baggage storage. You can also enjoy a fitness center and complimentary breakfast. I am so grateful for meeting the hotel's staff members and extending their unwavering hospitality and pure dedication to their work in serving their guests and supporting them in pursuing excellence in assisting their visitors.
Kudos to Mr. Sy, Rodel, Nel, et al. for preparing their guests' daily hearty and sumptuous breakfasts. The administrative staff, Jessica and Rosell, assisted us in preparation for the upcoming event of my mother's 80th birthday next year. If I have missed some names, my apology, and I will never forget your genuine service and dedication to serving your customers. Lastly, I will recommend the hotel to anybody I meet and interested in visiting Naga City! It's an accurate sample of excellent hospitality.
- A_Top_Reviewer (8/5): The staff service is one of the best ! - We have been regulars here at the Avenue Plaza hotel for the past several years and it was our 1st visit back in 4 years since the pandemic, which affected the hotel services like all other businesses. With that being said, the reason this review is “Very Good” is solely due to the superior customer service of all their staff who treat guests like family and try their best to meet guest needs amidst the challenges being faced in the "much-needed" improvement in the hotel facilities and upgrades in its infrastructure. Mr. Dennis Serrano (Manager) has assured us that there are plans in place to address the same and wish him and his team the best. A special thanks to Ms. Arianne Cortez and the front office staff as well as the restaurant, housekeeping, porters, security, gym, cleaning, IT and other staff who go out of their way to make guests happy.
- Anonymous (9/5): It was a wonderful stay overall. - Urban, convenient and good location along a busy street and yet still secluded from the noise and traffic. Close to good restaurants and coffee shops. Rooms are spacious and facilities are clean. Staff are friendly and super helpful. Shout out to the manager and staff of the restaurant. Food is delicious from the breakfast buffet to the dinner offerings/specials. Not much to complain about, only suggestions for improvement. Rooms and public areas could be updated. Additional places to sit near the pool area and umbrellas by the chairs for shadewill be helpful for guests who want to step out of their room for some fresh air and enjoy the facilities. Pool is mostly occupied by swimming classes and not enough space for guests. Lobby has limited seating.
- Junabel (9/5): Because of the staff, we had a great stay. - What i like about the property is the super excellent service from the staff What i didnt like was i feel like the rooms are not that clean. We had to request to move to another room because our first room has lizard poops and lizard inside. Also the bathtub rubber is black already and the aircon is leaking. When we were transferred to a different room it was a little bit cleaner than the first one but the aircon is still leaking and there were a lot of ants on the table. Nonetheless, our experience was okay.
- William (8/5): Revenge Travel to Naga - The trip was to visit family in my hometown. As always we prefer to stay at Avenue hotel. We only opt for other hotels when there’s no available room at Avenue.
The stay was as always comfortable, there are however a few minor comments, like dripping faucet, water pooling at the comfort room drainage, fly at the breakfast buffet table, we also have to request for bedroom slippers and bathroom towels.
We also would like to see local Bicol delicacies at the breakfast buffet table.
The stay was not bad but improvements could still be done for better service.
- markwV9480MK (10/5): The shining star of Naga - The Avenue Plaza is our favorite place to stay in Naga City. The hotel facilities are excellent with a beautiful swimming pool. The daily breakfast is a taste sensation with many local dishes offered and fresh baked pastries and fresh fruit. If the wide selection of food on the buffet doesn’t give you want you want you can also have omelets made to order and pancakes. The hotel is secure and in a beautiful location close to many things. What really sets the Avenue Plaza apart from the others is the staff. Gracious and courteous, the staff bring another experience to the Philippines by themselves. They can guide you to fun local spots or give you ideas on regional fun spots. Be careful though … you might makes some friends here because the staff is that easy and nice to interact with!
- Maria (9/5): Superb -
- Judee (10/5): The best! - My son & I loved the breakfast buffet! The location is a bit far from the places we wanna go to, but it's worth it! Location.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dennis (3/5): Poor - Tv are very old and small no chanel compare to other cheaper hotel all latest. And breakfast no warning coffee are have extra money 2 pcs are almost 400 pesos or 300 i got charge but i got breakfast included unlike other hotel breakfast all free buffet I dont want surprise charges
- hernsh (10/5): Good value and quality in Naga - Don’t skip this one in your list of choices for hotels in Naga! The rooms were nice, everything works well, always clean, very attentive and courteous staff from the front desk all the way to housekeeping who by the way respond very fast to requests for the room. Bonus is a nice sized pool and an on site well equipped gym. Food was very good too esp breakfast. Also quite near to other good restaurants and cafes in the Magsaysay stretch. Great value for money!
- Rey (10/5): - The staff were very friendly, accommodating, helpful and polite.
Above all, Mr. Alex Galang did an excellent job.
- Edison (10/5): Exceptional -
- PeterJGoodwin (10/5): Avenue Plaza Hotel, Naga City - We'd booked this hotel via the internet a month or so ago, having first stayed there a few years back. The staff stayed in contact with us regularly to ensure things went smoothly. We arrived at Naga airport from Manila via Cebu Pacific ahead of schedule, a very pleasant experience. We were met at the airport by the hotel shuttle, the vehicle was clean and modern, and the driver was very professional. We arrived at the hotel and greeted at the front steps by several employees and the duty manager, Dennis. What a surprise and very impressive! The check-in process was very slick. The staff were all really polite and welcoming. The hotel foyer is very clean and well cared for. Another surprise was in store for us, as we were upgraded to an executive suite! Our room was clean and spacious, and while it's not a new hotel, maintenance is obviously important to the owners and staff. The buffet breakfast was quite OK, but I feel the menu is mostly aimed at the Filipino market, so Westerners should just be aware. Ours was a short stay, but I highly recommend the Avenue Plaza Hotel, which, despite being a provincial one, punches way above its weight and competes exceedingly well with bigger name hotel chains in Manila and elsewhere.
- Mei (3/5): Poor - the location, full with places to visit my friends experience sleep paralysis, my boyfriend felt there’s someone watching him, and we experience a quick earthquake but it was terrifying
- Manilaguest (10/5): Home away from home - A great surprise in the heart of bustling Naga City. Tucked behind a row of great dining places , the Avenue Plaza is a gem . Facilities are well appointed , rooms are large, quiet and comfortable, but most of all , service is par excellence. Before our arrival , they requested for the names of guests for the different rooms we booked. Such that upon checkin, our rooms were ready and key cards prepared. No wait to get us registered .. just the required ID presentation for security reasons . Speaking of security, key cards are required to operate the elevator to one’s floor … assurance of safety . The staff are welcoming and friendly… always helpful . Will definitely make the Avenue Plaza our home away from home every visit to our home province .
- Dulcisimo (10/5): - Their best assets are their staff! Great service!
- Q8791YQpaulj (10/5): Very nice place with a great staff. - This place is nice. We stayed in two separate rooms with our family of 8. I really loved the pool and gym. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. The rooms were very comfortable and the shower was awesome. It’s always hard to find a great shower in the Philippines but they had perfect water pressure and it was nice and warm.
My only 2 gripes are the wifi was not good in our room and the breakfast was way overpriced in my opinion. Still if you are looking for western style accommodations in Naga this is your best bet.
The most important thing and why this place earns 5 stars for me is the staff. They were really wonderful. Really above and beyond in my opinion.
- Conchita (9/5): it is a pleasant stay for me coz the staff are accommodating. - excellent location, the staff are exceptionally nice, courteous, friendly and cater to visitors needs. the bathroom has a big tub catered to big people not safe for smaller and handicapped.
- Jesusa (2/5): - Don't be fooled by the pictures. Like all advertising, they show you their best. While the lobby area is fine, once you get to your room you will be severely disappointed. The curtains are torn, the toilets have rings and stains. I don't think they know what clorox is. The rooms need serious renovation.
- adeluisam (10/5): Genuinely Delightful Hotel! - > We stayed for 11 days in this amazing hotel. Our room was spacious, modern, with all the amenities. Every single person working in this hotel provided incredible customer service.
>
> A typhoon came in the middle of our stay, and we did not lose electricity because the hotel has a generator. This was especially important for my job connectivity. The Internet was fast and reliable.
>
> My favorite part of my stay was the breakfast buffet. It had a daily changing menu that was always delicious. The staffs/servers were very attentive and made sure each meal was a pleasure.
>
> Overall, a genuinely delightful hotel, attentive and helpful staff, and from this experience will be staying again for my next trip to Naga.
- Ricky (3/5): Way back in college, this hotel is the best in Naga City. I don:t know what happeen - I like the location of this hotel. There are various restaurants, bars, and coffee shops around. Room service, facility, the quality of furniture, cleanliness.
- Minipin02 (6/5): Good Customer Service - It was a last minute decision to leave Manila and book this hotel. The rates are on the high side but rooms are clean, quite old but spacious. I arrived at 10 am which is very early for check in. However, the staff were very nice to accommodate my early check in due to my very early flight. It was very helpful that i got a room so I can catch on my sleep.
The hotel interior was nicely decorated for Xmas. The breakfast was included in the rate and they offer a wide variety of dishes . What I was looking forward is a good bread…they dont have brown bread. I guess hotels in the province dont have suppliers for such. A 4 star hotel should never miss having this kind of breads .
The wifi wasnt that good but maybe due to the location of my room which is the grnd floor. I always carry my pocket wifi so I have no complaints. The hotel is at the central and walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops.
What makes this hotel worth coming back is the fact that the staff are mostly polite and helpful . They will assist you the best they can. One example is looking for a bus going to Caramoan and they made effort to contact me at 5 am just to assist me in getting to the bus terminal. The security guards are there to assist you to get a cab or give info how to go somewhere and ready with their umbrellas when its pouring. Overall, it was a nice experience and will certainly recommend to friends.

- 840winfriedb (10/5): Perfect value for the money - We stayed third time in 6 years and found the place as good as always. Spacey and clean rooms, perfect service and a wonderful and quite terrace behind the dining area.
Special praise for Dennis Serrano the room director for his outstanding service.
We will definitely come back!!!
- Lanit (7/5): A 2-star hotel experience in a Top rated 4- star hotel - I liked the location of the hotel. It's close to fast food chains that are open 24 hours. I am a night owl, you see. Some staff. Not all. Just those who greet the guests such as my self. What I didn't like is anything other than the location. My bed had a torn sheet for starters. I reported the flush of the toilet getting stuck to the receptionist @ the desk before I went out to go somewhere and they were just laughing. I came back after a few or so hours and it was still the same. They didn't even take me seriously. The TV was a mess. All I can see was black and white picture due to bad reception. For the price per night that they charged, it was maybe a 2-star hotel experience. Terrible. A staff of the hotel tried to open my door while I was inside and didn't even announce him or herself. It was most likely a case of mistaken room. But still. I was in the restroom that time. Maybe the staff thought nobody was there. Sigh...
- Marites (3/5): Poor -
