- Shay (8/5): - central & convenient - lady was nice and helpful - breakfast was great
- Esmee (8/5): - Host and staff were very helpful and pleasant. Displayed a genuine interest in their guests and their company. As a couple in our 70's we found the stairs a bit challenging.
Great location by train station.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was basic. owner pleasant . Did not have cooked breakfast due to dietary restrictions .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like that it was near kent railway station, and only a few minutes walk to city centre.
- Wilfredo (10/5): - Lovely and very accommodating people, good service and very warm persons especially the owner, will not think twice to come back, parking is the only setback {street parking/not safe}
- Natalie (10/5): Would absolutely recommend! - This was the first place we stayed on our trip to Ireland, and it was a very good first impression indeed! Probably not for you if you're looking for something large and luxurious, but it was clean, everyone was very friendly and our breakfast both mornings was delicious!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and quiet property close to city centre , nice staff. Perfect for the price we paid.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really central, decent breakfast and friendly and helpful staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The host Derry, friendly, professional, nice breakfast, iron, hairdryer available if needed, great location just a short walk into town, would recommend & would defo return
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming. The room was comfy and quiet and I enjoyed my stay a great deal. Excellent breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, etc. Would recommend!

- Mairead (10/5): - Short stay but ideal location. Friendly staff & clean
- Amanda (10/5): - Judy was a lovely host! Just the sweetest! Plus we were right across the street from the train station which was very convenient! I didn’t manage to have breakfast, but my partner did and he said it was very good!
- Francis (6/5): - Owners could not have been nicer.
- John (10/5): Great location - wonderful host - Directly across the street from the train terminal and easy walking distance from both bus terminals. Very small but adequate in every way. There is no air-conditioning but most places don't have it. The breakfast was very good. We had a very pleasant stay.
- patrick (8/5): Nice B&B - Friendly host
Clean and compfortable rooms
Great breakfast
- John (8/5): - Very helpful staff. I arrived later than the standard check-in time, and they were willing and able to accommodate that. The bed was comfortable; the hot breakfast was lovely (perfectly cooked / toasted); the staff were friendly and helpful.
- Laura (10/5): - Great location. Judy is friendly, helpful and cooks a great breakfast.
- Steven (10/5): Great place to stay - Very clean and comfortable room, great location too the town, 15 minute walk to the bus station and right across the street from the train station. We offered a full Irish breakfast every morning.
- Noah (8/5): Great staff and clean rooms - The hotel is next to the station and a ten minute walk of the bus station.
The family running the hotel is very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was delicious.
Although the room was rather old, it was as clean as it could have been.
- Larry (8/5): - Greeted by Judy's wonderful smile, a welcome sight to a jet lagged couple! Everyone was friendly and helpful, sharing information on local spots to see.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice B&B close to the city and opposite the train. - B&b was excellent, decor abit dated but all you could expect is their. Room clean and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was lovely home made and fresh if you wanted the fry but toast, cereal also provided in the dining room. The owner and staff were very attentive to your every need. If the staff could help in any way they did from directions, taxis and recommendation on places to visit or to eat. Would stay again any time home from home. Highly recommend it.
- Paul (8/5): Hospitable stay - My stay was pretty good the B&B was clean a couple of things could do with updating but nothing major. The gentlemen host was chatty and welcoming.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad experience - Very dirty place
- Maria (6/5): Not the worst. - I don't usually leave negative reviews, but...
Clon Ross isn't a *bad* place to stay. It's a good location (5 minutes walk to the train station, 15 mins into Cork city centre), the breakfast is good, the place is clean and the staff are friendly.
The couple who own the B&B are lovely. However, the other staff member, in my opinion, was overly friendly. I know how that sounds but when you've just spent the day travelling or are busy or trying to relax, you don't want people trying to catch you every time you leave your room just to repeat jokes to you.
The rooms themselves are fine. A bit small, no problem. The site says there are tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms - there's not. There is WiFi which has good signal but the password is downstairs. I would suggest making a note of it before you go up to your room or else you run the risk of bumping into talkative staff again.
Also, be prepared - it's so noisy! You can hear the conversations in the other rooms, everyone that is being checked in, and everybody running down to breakfast at 7am.
I would stay here again if I absolutely had to - like I said, it's not the worst - but there are better places for €10 more.
- Sinead (8/5): Clean, great hostess - Hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Excellent breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The place was very handy as it was close to train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely.
- John (8/5): Short stay. - Room could have a better shower. But the lady who serves breakfast and greets you is 5 star!! Great lovely lady!!
- Nadine (8/5): - Good experience, convenient location, nice and clean, welcoming staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - Great location! It's right opposite the train station and is within 15 minutes walking distance to the city centre. The room was clean and very warm. The breakfast was tasty. I would definitely stay here again. However, I wish the prices were more affordable as there are cheaper B&Bs with a more updated decor.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Wonderful staff and very good Irish breakfast included in stay.
- Jennie (8/5): Great location. - The location was perfect. Right across the road from the rail station and close to the car rental agency. Even the city centre was just a short walk away.
- Rod (8/5): Fine to stay. - Very friendly reception and convenient location. Breakfast was delicious.
Nice guesthouse.
- Mike (6/5): Not too bad. A place to sleep. Awesome breakfast - Most hotels in Cork are a little pricey. We just needed a place to sleep. The hotel is not up to date at all. However, the woman who ran the place was very nice. The full Irish breakfast she cooked for us made was very good and made a difference.
- Aimee (8/5): Cozy place to stay... - The rooms are very cozy, there is no lift nor parking so keep that in mind when booking.
Judy, who operates the guesthouse is lovely and makes a wonderful breakfast. The size of the rooms are alright for a layover but a long-term stay could get a bit cramped.
- sue (2/5): Where you do not want to stay - Booked 2 rooms . Cost me a 170 plus euro . Not worth it . It was disgusting but too tired to go anywhere else . Put the chair up against the door because no proper security lock on the door . Toilet seat was disgusting . Toilet was right up against the wall . Husband had to sit sideways. It was indescribable. For not much more money we had fabulous places in Ballina and bray
- cornelius (10/5): A great place to rest the head after a long day - A pleasure staying, I may even do a return visit
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very close to train transportation. Very nice lady that runs it. Within walking distance to some good restaurants.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Find something else - Room far too small, TV did not work, room cheap and nasty, not good Luke for money
- Glen (6/5): Basic accommodations - This B and B is literally across the road from the Train Station and about 15 minutes walk to the main street of Cork.
The staff are friendly but the facility is quite basic and needs updating throughout.
- SOMA SEKHAR (6/5): GOOD - Good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Clean, room a little cramped and lack of space for bags and luggage. Shower not very strong. Friendly landlady. Offers no parking facilities. For what it was it was overpriced. I suggest 75% of the going rate.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - -------------------------------------------------------
- Luke (10/5): Excellent! - Room and service were both excellent!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great budget B&B, friendly and helpful - We stayed here when we went to live at the marquee concert. Room was great value with breakfast. Good shower and near mac curtain street
- Ruth (10/5): - Loved it there. Judy made a wonderful breakfast for us every day and was wondering.
- Seth (6/5): Gets the job done, assuming basic needs - Got walked to the sister property across the street; not a big deal but makes it harder to properly review the booked hotel. Assume they're similar enough based on the buildings looking nearly identical.
Room was fine, if a bit cozy. Breakfast was fresh cooked and tasty. Walking distance to the train station (and the bike share station there) was our main reason for choosing the property and in that it did not disappoint.
- Mark (10/5): Great stay - Most welcoming and accommodating staff, even let me borrow the iron, i will definatly be back for another stay.
Mark.
- Stephen (6/5): - If you are looking for "cheap and cheerful", this is your place. Small rooms (hey, this is Europe!) but located directly across from the train station and an easy walk to town. Terrific host!
