It's worth every step you have to take to get up there, and if you've ever been to an island with hills you'll realize it's not even that bad. The balcony is super romantic and the sunsets from it breathtaking. The apartment is huge, clean, and modern. The washer is a big plus. The PERFECT place to stay for a gir'ls trip. This place is worth every penny and then some!

We saw one management person when they knocked on the door for CASH PAYMENT, which is not in accordance to their Expedia listing. Towels were like sandpaper. Bedding is marginal. It is 175 vertical steps on your trip to the Hvar Harbor - have sturdy legs when carrying your luggage. Be proficient with the Expedia app as this is their only communication vehicle. Updates, check-in, etc… very nice person I met once for payment and property is fine, but not exactly what I expected. Choose wisely!

The apartment was spacious, spotless and located in a fabulous location just above old town and our terrace gave us a ‘wow’ view over the water area- a great spot for breakfast. Our host was great and easy to communicate with- sending us local info on sights and dining options. And the beautiful resident dog Rea was a delight - especially as we were missing our dog back home. We traveled with a cat and parking was easy and accessible at the property. Seriously a 5 ⭐️ experience for us. Wish we had longer ! Can’t recommend enough.

• Christa (10/5): Great Location, beautiful stay! - The only bad thing about this Villa were the stairs! With luggage they were very challenging! The room was comfy, the shower had great pressure, the little garden terrace was beautiful and had a very helpful clothesline in it. The hotel was right above the ferry walk area. The owner was friendly and attentive. His machine was down and he told us we could come back in a few days to pay, no stress or worries! They sent us messages before we arrived with pictures showing us where to walk to get there. They also sent us messages about recommended places to go! They were so great! Would absolutely stay here again!

Just a few minutes walk from the ferry - up steps like everything in Hvar but the view is worth it! The owner was fantastic and was very helpful.

• Angela (4/5): Misleading advertising - Very disappointing. The annexe is not connected to the main building - it is the neighbour’s house. The annexe does not resemble the main property. Cleaning standards were exceptionally poor, despite the host charging a cleaning fee. The lady running the ‘annexe’ (i.e. the property next door to Villa Milton Hvar) is a very friendly and kind lady. It is a real shame that the properties are advertised in the way that they are, which guides guests to expect the same standard in the ‘annexe’ A’s is advertised for Villa Milton Hvar.

• Alex (10/5): - Beautiful, extremely spacious apartment with a large balcony and incredible views of the harbor. Very clean and modern, yet still had charm. All of the amenities you could possibly need, including a large kitchen and even a washing machine. Pero was extremely welcoming - reached out immediately after I booked and provided detailed directions to the property, as well as a number of great restaurants and places to party. Even with all of the steps, it's less than a 5 minute walk to the main harbor area/ferry port (slightly longer with luggage). If you have a lot of heavy luggage, you may want to take a cab from the ferry when you first arrive, which Pero recommended and said was about 100 kuna (~$15). Also being higher up reduces the noise, so it's not an issue if you don't want to stay out all night partying.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - This is the perfect little sobe. The location is great, the room was lovely and the staff super helpful. They let us check in a little early, along with a gift of a local beer. We had rooms 7 and 8 which share a private balcony overlooking the garden and the harbor. Pero folded back the balcony divider so we could sit outside together and enjoy the view. The owner and family live on site, along with big fluffy dog, so this place has a calm, family feel to it. Highly recommend both the lodging and Hver Island!

The owner, Pero, was a very kind and warm host and easily reachable on WhatsApp. I wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely stay again if we return one day :)

• Verified traveler (4/5): - Well what to say. It was very disappointing. For £140 or 155€ it was the most basic room. The bathroom was tiny, 30 years old, the shower leaked, the toilet pan stained brown. The room was also tiny and the furniture pre-Croatian independence. On the positive side the balcony was large, the view is beautiful, the owner/staff friendly and helpful, and the air conditioning worked quietly and efficiently. Hvar was lovely, but having stayed 2 nights, I think it unlikely I would return.

However again, I would happily stay here and even pay more due to the view overlooking the bay. The hosts were amazingly friendly and knowledgable!
• Amanda Braun (2/5): The only bad thing about Hvar - Our stay was doomed from the start. Firstly, this 'hostel' should not even be on a hotel website as it's the furthest thing possible from a hotel. Upon arrival we had no clue what to do so after trecking up about +150 stairs with our luggage we had to awkwardly wander around what we assumed was a hotel or private villa, but actually someones home. If we wanted to stay in a shared home we would have done so and gone with a MUCH cheaper & more affordable Airbnb with a shared living space. After finally being greeted we were taken to our room which was extremely tiny and out dated, which I can only compare to a tiny university dorm room. The room had 1 accessible electrical outlet, the washroom was old and outdated, and the bed sheets were rough and on a bed that was low to the ground and hard as a rock. The pictures & price are VERY deceiving for the quality you get. I visited a few other friend's Villas around Hvar and couldn't believe how much better theirs were for paying MUCH less then we did. The worst part of it all was that one night we accidentally got a stain on the sheets (100% not intentional), and something that sometimes happens, and we got scathing mean messages from the 'landlord' telling us to never come back, after the second night of a 3 night stay. He went from being presumably nice to horrifying, and I had to spend my day arguing over the phone with him to allow us back. It was so bad that we decided to get a whole new place of our own. Horrible memories.

• Justine (10/5): Fantastic accommodations here! - We stayed at Villa Milton in Hvar. Pero was a super host! From the moment we met him and stepped foot in his establishment, we fell in love with it. Pero was very generous and kind. He even brought us a special snack when he had heard we’d been out all day at sea and figured we’d be hungry! Our room was one of our favorites in a 3 week trip where we stayed in 6 different cities. The room is beautifully decorated, well kept, and very clean. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, stove top, and kitchen sink. We loved sitting out in our private terrace garden. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Pero as a host!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - We had a good stay at Villa Milton. The location is close to everything we needed. The steps are about a 5 minute walk and unavoidable in Split. The bed was not the comfiest I've ever slept in, nor the uncomfiest. Our room was slightly removed from the main villa building but we had a great ocean view.

• Geologicia (6/5): Fantastic views and very friendly staff - Had a very nice few days here. Pero and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The views from my balcony were exceptional. Room was clean and functional. Only drawbacks were the pillows which were probably an 8.5 on the Mohs hardness scale and the bathroom was a bit pokey and basic. I was well looked after and overall enjoyed my stay.

• Tom (10/5): Nice hotel, very friendly owner - Pero, the owner of the hotel, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He was a great host and very helpful. The hotel was very nice and comfortable - it's a long walk up the steps from the seafront, but a nice view from the balcony.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Very dated and very basic but cheap and close - The location was ok in a more residential area but was close to Hvar old town (5-10 mins) albeit up a lot of steps so make sure you're happy to do that. Pero and the manager lady were both pleasant and helpful if we needed anything. However the place itself is very dated and the bathroom particularly so we were disappointed. We had a standard room side sea view so the balcony was a plus. Overall the place was really cheap so you can't expect much more but I would say it's very basic and dated but clean and safe.

• CHUK KWAN FIONA (8/5): Perfect location - Location is amazing, Pero has been very helpful, check in are all smooth. This apartment is just 5 mins walk from the central area (harbour) but you will have to prepare to walk up and down for a lot of stairs. The place has everything you need, and its very clean. I stayed in a studio with my parents so actually we don't have much space but I think it is a good studio for 2 person.

Pero the owner was really helpful with good recommendations and suggestions about what to do. He put the heating on one afternoon before we got back as had been cold and a bit rainy. • Kelsi (8/5): Oasis for one with a GREAT VIEW - As a solo traveler I felt safe & conveniently located to the historic town of Hvar. I had read the previous reviews complaining about the fact that there are stairs, but the whole town is full of them! Cannot fault them for stairs, the location provided balcony ocean views and a 3 min walk to the main harbor area. Pero was great about recommending restaurants, bars, and activities. He even mapped them out for me when I checked in. I was able to leave my bags with them post checkout but prior to my ferry boat departure. I would be sure to stay again!

• Pat (8/5): Nice place with good location - This Villa is very pleasant. It is not flashy of over done, maybe even old feeling, but very clean and quiet.. Pero runs the place and is a great host. We would stay there again when in Hvar.
• Dan (10/5): Great Room & Great Hospitality - These apartments are up on a hill, with great views and just a few minutes' walk from the harbour. Upon arrival Pero, the owner, greeted us and told us everything we needed to know about nearby restaurants, beaches, places to visit, etc. We had a complimentary lunch and local wine ready for us in the fridge. Plus, he has a lovely Samoyed dog called Rea! Our apartment (room 8) was clean, looked recently refurbished and while the balcony was to the side, still had great views out to sea. Pero and family were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay and Hvar is absolutely beautiful. If we return, we will definitely be staying here again.

Room was fine but the wifi didn't work inside our room. Had to sit outside on patio to use it. I think that's a common issue as I brought it up but there wasn't any resolution for it. Also, our view wasn't quite that we were hoping for and we had to share a patio area with another room. Overall, okay apartment definitely good value for price.

Pero and Nelica looked after us, welcomed us with a drink and gave us recommendations for places to visit and eat. This is a great location (although it is up a few steps from the harbour so may not be great for someone with walking difficulties), and we were able to sit and watch the sun set from our balcony. Overall, a great stay, thanks Pero.
• Christopher (6/5): Great View - Hello , Got there but there was no one there , we had to wait for someone to check us inn ( 15 min ) , Although they were very friendly. The room is ok , it has great view and close to everything , be aware there are like 5 flights of stairs before getting to the hotel , pack light.
• Gozde (10/5): A very pleasant stay and great hospitality - The Villa was at a hilltop overlooking to the beautiful Adriatic Sea and islands. Pero and his family made us feel very welcome by giving us all the important tips about where to eat, the good sights as well as a surprising goodbye gift of delicious local white white and lavender. He even gave us a lift to the port which made travelling a lot more easier. I would happily stay at Villa Hvar again and I highly recommend the experience.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Amazing view from terrace, but needs renovation! - Room is seriously dated with bathroom small but just about workable, but in need of complete renovation. There is mold in the grout and everything is the cheapest plastic possible. In terms of room, mattress comfort and state of bathroom this is a one star property and seriously overpriced. However, the lady running the place is wonderful and the guy who checked us in was very efficient and friendly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants. The terrace with a stunning view is what makes this place. If you think you'll spend some time on it, it may be a good choice for you. But if you're out and about or asleep 90% of the time, there are more comfortable options for less money.
• John (8/5): Little gem overlooking the sea - Was looking for a quaint room close to downtown with a view and found this gem. Perfect for a place to sleep with a balcony.
• Taras (8/5): Great service despite the hiccup - Due to an overstay by a guest for one night on arrival, we agreed to quite a poor twin room on at the rear without air-con on the promise of a far superior room the next day with large terrace at the front by the Manager (for the same rate) which proved to be an amazing large terrace (enough room for table and chairs, two deck chairs and more) overlooking the sea. Aircon was excellent; the place was quiet; the on-site owners were lovely and the Manager, Pero was excellent picking us up when we arrived and on-hand for any help we needed. Though the room can do with some cosmetic updating (especially the one we had for one night) to the standard shown in the pictures, they were clean and of a good standard with little noise. Despite the initial hiccup, we became very fond of the place and can't imagine we'd want to stay anywhere else but the same room if we came back to Hvar.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Ok spot in great location - Great location. Villa was not as nice as expected, bathroom not ideal.
