Excellent restaurants with variety. Very good breakfast (except for coffee) Be careful to avoid rooms next to night club area which is very loud on Friday and Saturday nights. Complimentary coffee at breakfast is truly awful.

• 881berylk (10/5): Amazing Staff and Food - Our flight to Wewak got cancelled and they booked us in with the Lamana Hotel. The service was amazing and the staff very helpful. We were given the wrong vouchers at the airport and only found out once we got to the hotel. Staff drove back to get the correct ones so we could check in. After checking us in, the staff carried our bags up to our rooms. Dinner was absolutely amazing. I had the spiced pork belly and it fell apart on my fork. It was so juicy and tender. The veggies were fresh and flavourful. It was absolutely delicious and our server Vali was so sweet and kind. Would 100% come back. Especially for the food :)

• Pakoa (8/5): My 3 night stay at the Lamana hotel is enjoyable given the property is well secure and protected. - All in all the service provided by the hotel during my 3 night stay was amazing. All the services requires are available and event it is more convenient with the additional hospitality provided by our host of the meeting PNG Customs. The only challenge I encounter which requires some improvement is the internet connectivity especially the WFI coverage and connectivity which at times it is very weak while in the room. Otherwise everything else provided by the hotel is exceptionally outstanding.

• Niall (9/5): - Location is great. Easy to get to the airport and on to other destinations. The bar and restaurant facilities are really good with heaps of options. The staff (In particular Michelle at front desk and Kelvin driving the transfer bus) were very professional, helpful and went out of their way to ensure I was well looked after during the three stays at the hotel I did a couple of weeks ago. Wifi in room isn't great but is fine in the other areas of the hotel.

• Manish (1/5): Pathetic - Breakfast and meals have vegetarian options. They have very poor WiFi connectivity. In all Suits you do not get Wifi Signal. I never stayed in normal rooms so I do not know about them. In my 14 days of stay, for 3 days, I was awake till 1 am to get my toilet flush working. After 3 days they fixed it. I waited for 3 days to get my WiFi fixed. Technician does not know anything. Later on Hotel told me they cannot fix it. So finally I purchased data packs. Everyday I was checking for if there is any improvement in the Wifi signal. For 14 days, it was not fixed. I am pure vegetarian as per my religion. But these people served non-veg food to me (when I had ordered veg dish). I dont know if it was deliberately done to damage my religious sentiments. But no action was taken on staff. Be careful if you are religious. They can feed you anything.

• Joel (4/5): Hopeless front desk - The hotel messed up my confirmed booking and thought I was checking out days before I was due to leave. I went to the front desk to sort this out and was told that it was fixed. I returned that evening to find my room had been packed down and they had opened my safe, put all my dirty clothes and clean clothes into my bag and emptied my fridge. After complaining they promised free laundry so I could have clean clothes for my remaining days of work. On checkout they still tried to charge me for the free laundry.

Amazing selection of breakfast and beverages, took the kids in and Lafare was very helpful and understanding. Also the smashed avocado was awesome. Food at Spices restaurant was delicious as always! The apartment did not look like the photos- some of the things like couch bed for eg, was not in the apartment. The door did not lock securely. It was very noisy - a lot of drunk guests screaming loudly obscene words on the corridor, and there was no good lighting outside the rooms. Some of us with vision impairment found it quite challenging to navigate around.

The staff were very flexible, agile to and al all amendment al all changes even last minute were accepted with a smile. The food was amazing as commented by the 19 guests. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to go to Lemana for a formal, semi formal, or celebratory occasion - you will not be disappointed.

• Elizabeth (8/5): - The rooms were clean and tidy. Ground staff and securities were excellent. The cleaners did an amazing job keeping the rooms and yards clean everyday . It was quite windy and they did amazingly well in sweeping the leaves off the stairs and footpaths. I only had an issue with the front desk staff. I had paid for three rooms on the day we checked in 05/09/25 and two days into our stay I was told that I hadn't paid for one of the rooms yet. I explained to the front desk staff that I paid for all three rooms upon checking in but they insisted I hadn't paid. I even showed them that my account was debited on check in day and I had receipts to prove it. After all the back and forth the issue was resolved. In future I would suggest that staff do a thorough check before accusing guests for non payments.

Hence they proved it . Vari mairi her is service is so good . She is well experienced too .

• Hannafi (2/5): - I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at Lamana Hotel. What was meant to be a relaxing time with my female friends turned into an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. Staff Conduct & Discrimination: We were treated poorly simply because we were women. Staff were dismissive, condescending, and unhelpful throughout our stay. It was clear we weren’t being taken seriously, and requests that should have been standard were either ignored or met with attitude. To make matters worse, we witnessed bribery among the staff—offering “special treatment” or faster service to certain guests who paid extra under the table. Meanwhile, we were left waiting or overlooked entirely. Safety & Comfort: As a group of women, we didn’t feel safe or respected. The environment was unwelcoming, and at times intimidating. No guest—especially female guests—should have to feel this way in a place that claims to offer hospitality. Overall Experience: The service was poor, the staff lacked professionalism, and the culture of favoritism and sexism was deeply disappointing. Final Verdict: Lamana Hotel urgently needs staff training and a major shift in attitude toward female guests. I would not recommend this hotel to women travelers—there are better, safer, and more respectful options in Port Moresby

• pngTraveler77 (10/5): Birthday Event - Excellent Experience - I recently had a birthday party event in the Conference rooms (2 large rooms) for 85 guests. Great value for money had I hosted this event and self catered as the delicious buffet was more than enough (5 protein dishes+ Salads - we had a lot of young teens/adult boys - no complaints!) plus the best mud cake in town, all catered for by Lamana was well enjoyed by the guests - excellent tasty food. The audio visual facilities worked great, 2 x large screen projected our birthday video - sound & lighting excellent. The staff and customer service from booking the date and event to the lead up preps was very efficient and pleasant. The event team on duty for the night was very professional, great customer service skills, friendly & accommodating to requests/questions and kept the drinks orders efficient - team leader Magdalene was super managing food service, drink tabs and cake with our program timing. Thank you Jacquie, Umesh, Daisy and your awesome team for making our occasion memorable. Recommend for a birthday party event with post event Gold Club available was an extra bonus for our guests.

The rooms were excellent, food was exceptional with good options to choose from. Having pool tables, DJ, nightspot and the bowling alley added to the experience. Spent a few hours up in the lanes. Thanks Kat and Nat for joining us for a couple of bowls, keeping the beers coming and just your friendly personalities. Always a friendly smile and chat with Velmah each morning made a great start to each day and all the ladies worked tirelessly to help. Definitely recommend the Lamana and it will now be my go to hotel in POM. Anthony.

• rosesA9973QQ (10/5): Best lunch with a variety of side dishes and deserts - The restaurant is nice and cool with good music and very friendly staff. The Indian dish is too good. Very affordable price for a good portion of meal Will sure recommend this place anytime.
• Stuart (4/5): - The room was good but I was kept awake through the night with staff members talking to guests. At 4am I finally lost it and told them to move away from the corridor. The doors on the rooms are the worst part of the hotel. Every word can be heard from both sides of the door. No peace and quiet and no privacy. Avoid this place like a plague if you’re there for a romantic night or just for peace and quiet. The commercial Pilot I needed to sleep and was seriously fatigued the next working day. Check-in took over 30 minutes, standing in the reception being ignored by staff.

• juniorsA715MJ (10/5): Gloria is awesome - Gloria was great when helping us during breakfast, bringing sugar for the tea and coffee and being on top of collecting the empty plates. The breakfast was delicious and the waffle lady was on point with making and remembering our preferred toppings.

• 658jayek (6/5): As a wife of the Sheriff of PNG, I feel like this is not how you should be treating your customers in this way. - All was good except for the front desk. Send the ladies for customer care training so that they will know how to approach guest in a more appropriate manner. We are regular customers and within a week stay of extension s everyday, the ladies at the front desk had no patience but to call every 10 minutes to pay up We spend money out there and is this how you treat your customers? PLEASE SEND THEM OUT FOR PROPER TRAINING. I AM VERY UPSET WITH THE WAY THEY SHOWED THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE FRONT DESK. Thanks.

• SueS2954 (6/5): Two nights at Lamana. - The hotel is clean, sheets & towels fantastic. Food & service at spices restaurant were fantastic. I would give them 5 stars. Valma served us in the restaurant& Cafe & she was wonderful, as was the lady at dinner. The porters, Peter , Don were helpful. My only complaint would be front desk. They need to work on their skills with dealing with guests in a kind way. One girl had obviously had a difficult phone call before we asked for help & she was very rude to us. Obviously, this doesn't apply to all front desk staff but we had 2 girls who felt with us in an uncaring, rude manner.
