- Mar (5/5): it was rather expensive, there are nicer places to stay - quiet location couldn’t close the door of the room, no curtains, pool was closed, scruffy bathroom

- Loonis Helene (1/5): A FUIR! IUNE HORREUR! HOTEL ABANDONNÉ ! AUCUN CLIENT! AUCUN SERVICE! NI PAPIER TOILETTE! - Une CATASTROPHE! A fuir impérativement! Rien! Totalement flippant!!!
- Cristiane (1/5): ¡Horrible. No volveré jamás!

- John (10/5): - Our family of four stayed one brief night in Riad Meknes as a stopover during a drive from Tangier to Merzouga. While we didn’t have too much time in Meknès or the riad itself, we did enjoy both the town and riad. Our room was spacious and we loved the lovely decor throughout the riad and the interesting layout. We had a quick dip in the pool and wished we’d had more time to use the garden courtyard.
We did get lost in the medina while trying to find the riad to check in - and Google maps had a role in leading us astray - but we only found it thanks to some kindly locals showing us the way. I’d advise ignoring Google maps and making detailed arrangements with the riad on how to find it in advance of showing up.
- Alfadl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect, central and very good value for money - Excellent value for money. Perfectly placed near the entrance to the medina. The roof terrace was excellent and the staff there were really kind and helpful. Spotlessly clean room. Breakfast was very good too. Nothing it was all fine.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely welcome and superb breakfast.
Beautifully presented, calm space with gorgeous garden and lots of spaces to relax.
Perfect stay. I highly recommend staying here. Nothing. It was perfect.
- Samira (1/5): Bad - Nothing went well, bad place to stay
- Eldar (9/5): Superb -
- Youssef (5/5): Passable -
- Clara (6/5): Lovely place which needs a loving hand - Meriam was a great host, who was kind and helped us a lot! Decorations were very pretty. Ambience very authentic Dirty pool with still water, pool needs restoration, good breakfast, location very specific, bathroom needs renovation.
- Jean-marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bouzón (9/5): Superb -
- Ashley (6/5): Pleasant - The riad itself is beautiful and has many seating areas and gardens. The room was very big, clean, and had AC. The Riad was difficult to find as the location is not accurate on GPS maps and it actually goes by “Maison d’hotels restaurant and Riad” which is the sign out front. It took 1 hour of walking around and asking locals for directions to find the entrance. The beds were squeaky every time you move but were comfortable. The Riad only takes cash, many others let you pay online by credit card. Lastly the bathroom sink was very dirty and we were really looking forward to using the pool that was advertised but it was out of commission.
- Adams (9/5): Superb -
- Falk (10/5): Exceptional - Great Riad! Great, great place! Love it!
- Hartwig (9/5): Superb -
- Ismail (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lamia (9/5): Unveiling
Meknès in October - Very welcoming, respectful and helpful staff.
The location is not in a touristy place but in the heart of an ancient neighborhood, with no car access.
About 1/2 mile of walk through sinuous streets lead to this gem of a riadh. All neighbors know it and can direct to either front or back door.
It is like a personal small castle in a Moorish fantasy of (1001) Arab Nights, yet no music or entertainment. The room and bathroom are spacious, with ethnic furniture, adorned ceilings, and colorful excavated windows. Tinted geometrical windows let beautiful and colorful rays shine for a serene wake-up.
The bathroom walls are fully covered in zellige, the basin is in copper.
The patio and garden are a delight to relax and enjoy sunbathing and lounging.
Huge living rooms with Moorish style divans at each floor are welcoming for parties?
The decor in the staircase and hallways is amazingly authentic. Be ready to climb stairs!
The receptionist was particularly kind to offer to run a few grocery errands: fruits, yogurts, and water.
Would have loved to have access to a tea pot with tinted glasses to enjoy the flavorful mint tea!
The breakfast and cleaning lady has patiently explained how to get to the medina and enrolled the owner's brother to walk me through. He was so kind and faithful as he was heading on a Friday to honor his Mom's in visiting her tomb.
Medina is very close (a mile away) once one has joined the main square.
Next time, I would seek a room with viewing on the indoor patio and garden. Breakfast food is authentic yet not considering of restrictive diets.
Also, served until 10 a.m. only, which is a constraint in such a leisurely place. I have ordered a single item, but charged in full, which might be fair yet not fulfilling.
Nobody is at the reception after 6p.m.-ish. Restrictions to get the luggage kept. Or was it because of a Saturday, and this time being a religious celebration Eve? Apologies for holding you too long. So cumbersome to leave Meknès on a rainy evening!
A costume party with a photo booth is a suggestion to enhance the marvelous visiting experience.
No dining options although there are no restaurants close-by. It seems that this Riadh had a restaurant that closed down during the pandemic.
It would have been fabulous to be informed and entertained in-house for the Prophet's birthday as Meknès is renowned to hold marvelous spiritual celebration: bringing a scholar or sharing through videos or even booklets an insightful glance would have made me stay longer and enjoy further. I'll be back!
- Anton (2/5): Very poor - I'm sorry to say but the way guests are treated in this Riad is far below standards. The staff is very unfriendly: in 30y travelling around the globe I never witnessed such an unpolite receptionist/manager. The Riad is authentic but in a very bad state due to poor maintenance. Breakfast is only from 9.30 onwards (impossible if you are there for professional reasons) and there is no Wifi. Rooms were not done. I can only recommend to stay away from this Riad maybe until it is taken over by people that care more about their guests.
- Melody (7/5): Good - quirky friendly decor, good breakfast, friendly staff, good price I have two suggestions: One, the sign outside does not say "Riad Meknes," and it is hard to find. Two, the shower in our room did not drain well. The 2nd person to take a shower had to stand in 5 centimeters of water. Please fix this for the next guest.
- Catari (10/5): Nice beyond words! - Lovely facilities, wonderful staff, wonderful food, overall a great stay. Highly recommend.
- Catari (10/5): Absolutely beautiful! - Close the all the main sights in Meknes. Beautiful grounds and friendly staff. Food is much better quality than Riad standards. Very pleased!
- sergio (4/5): - Staff were terrible , we had to ask for towels, soap, phon. Rooms not like the photos on internet. The hotel owner very unpleasant. Nice the swimming pool e garden.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pool is empty - Its a pretty good hotel if a little hard to find. Problem is the pool is empty and hasnt' been filled in some time. They need to post honest photo's so more guests aren't confused.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Palace, excellent classic cooking - Slightly faded palace, with nooks and crannies, and cool old stuff all around with lovely furnishings and immaculate bedding and seating areas in the ornate and unique rooms. We were there first days of January and all the spaces were cold, but wall heater plus space heater and heavy blankets helped. Really a rare place...I would recommend it for the experience. Like staying in a museum. We had dinner there the first night which was truly exceptional, without fuss but a classic preparation from the eight different salads through the sumptuous chicken tagine to the coconut macaroons and tea for dessert. This was the best cooking we had in the 10 days and 5 cities we visited in Morocco. It is a destination spot.
No vengáis.
- Yesar (4/5): Good to see but not stay in - My first impression was good but wait until you stay there. I regret the time I booked the holiday. The room is very spacious but probably hasn't been cleaned from dust for a year. Everything smell of dust. The bed, pillows, carpet, floor, and furniture.
The bathroom is disgusting. My wife made a decision nobody is allowed to take a shower that night and we should wait for next stay in fes. The shower is disgusting. The toilet is clean but smell. The basin is broken and look dirty.
The food in the restaurant is good quality but probably over priced for morocco. Couscous meal 110 Durham. In the square 50 dirham but the cats sits below the table awful.
The breakfast is free but very very basic
I have no intention to go to meknas again but if I do I will not stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): recommend - condition is good, but room no wifi.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay if you don't mind the walk - Hard to find and a few minutes walk away from the next street accessible to car traffic. Min. 10 min walk from main plaza. Very nice and quiet setup, even including a little swimming pool. Great breakfast and nice service, although very little English spoken. Our room door was difficult to completely close from the inside - no latch, just a padlock - and otherwise would leave a sizable gap for all kinds of insects to come in when we had the lights on after dark. Leaking water faucet, few and improperly installed electrical outlets, and missing shower curtain on the negative side.
