The breakfast was fresh and light. the location was fantastic and walkable to all main sites. The complimentary bike use was a great and we used them both days. Nothing.

Staff went above and beyond. Always pleasant and extremely helpful. Even got to chat with owner who was an absolutely wonderful and warm person. Will not be the last time that I stay at Hotel Marisol! Highly recommended!!!

• Renee (10/5): Get away for our anniversary. - Right in walking distance to the beach and different shops. Area around the hotel very clean. The parking you couldn't park at the hotel there should be a designated area for guests only.

• Jim (9/5): Nice boutique hotel - Location was great, in a quiet stately neighborhood just a block from the shops and restaurants of Orange Ave and also a block from the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was kind of cramped. The next time I think we'd go for a Junior Suite instead of a king room.

• Raymond (10/5): Newly remodeled, quiet, small hotel with free parking, easy access to restaurants, shops & beach - Tucked on a quiet side street to main Coronado town, but close to everything, restaurants, beach walks and the Del Hotel. Easy access to your car where parking is free! Great morning coffee, with fresh fruit, yogart, hard boiled eggs and pastry. Simple and delicious breakfast for travelers on the go. Quiet room, comfy beds, newly remodeled with tasteful decor. We go every yr for a convention at the Del, this is our new go to place. No $60 parking and $9 coffee. We loved our stay at the Hotel Marisol. Nothing NOT to like. We will return on our next visit.
• Ronald (10/5): I would recommend this property to anyone visiting San Diego and Coronado. - Recently remodeled with excellent attention to detail. The lounge area and the courtyard provide excellent comfort and space for socializing. The staff was professional and quick to respond to any questions and requests. The homemade cookies in the afternoon are a nice touch.

• Dana (9/5): I liked staying there, it was perfect for a nice getaway for a couple. - The property was in a good location, close to restaurants and shops and the beach, but also quiet and away from the crowds and traffic on the main streets. It was really close to the beach and you could borrow chairs, towels and bikes. I didn’t like the way our room was configured. I bathroom has a ‘barn door’ and it’s super close to the bed. The door kept sliding open so you’d be on the toilet and the door would just slide open and my partner would be lying in bed almost arm’s length away. It didn’t bother him, but I like my own privacy on the toilet.

Breakfast, champagne, cookies etc. We could hear the people stomping around at 3 am which is NOT good. I asked for house cleaning, and all she did was make the bed and add an extra shampoo and lotion. The floors weren’t cleaned (near the beach you need this. It had also been raining), she didn’t give us any more clean towels or wash rags. She left the dirty champagne glasses on our table and didn’t refill the water in the refrigerator.

• Matt (10/5): Amazing Boutique Hotel - Beautiful little boutique hotel a block from the beach/Hotel Del and next to all the shops and restaurants. The hotel is very stylishly decorated, offers a continental breakfast with delicious pastries plus free deckchairs and umbrella for a day at the beach. There’s also a lovely courtyard to enjoy some outdoor space. I can’t fault this hotel and will definitely return the next time I’m in Coronado. Amazing value for money.

The staff are exceptional, personable, and helpful. The breakfast was laid out perfectly: healthy and very tasty. Hotel Marisol is in an excellent location, an easy walk to the famous, Del Coronado and Orange Ave. With most restaurants and of course, the ocean and beach within a few blocks. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Marisol. Parking can be challenging if you have a car, but it is manageable with effort!

• Sabine (10/5): Wundervolles kleines Hotel in Strandnähe - Dieses wunderschöne kleine Hotel liegt unweit des langen und breiten Sandstrandes von Coronado. Wenn man die Lobby betritt, fühlt man sich gleich wohl und willkommen. Parkplatz muss man sich im Wohngebiet suchen, ist aber kostenlos. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, geräumig und gemütlich. Die Klimaanlage war angenehm. Wir haben sogar eine Strandtasche mit Handtüchern bekommen, auch Stühle hätten wir leihen können. Das Frühstück war ganz ok, auf jeden Fall ausreichend. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Eines der schönsten Hotels auf unserer Reise. Ich hätte mir Tabletts gewünscht, wir mussten unser Frühstück einzeln auf die Terrasse tragen.

• roksana (6/5): - The hotel did not have any standard amenities in the room, such as shower cap, iron etc. There was supposed to be a complimentary glass of Champaign in the room but that was missing and not provided. The hotel breakfast did not even have bread , toaster milk nor cereals which even in a two star motel you can get these items. The staff however were super nice specially the housekeeping people. Too expensive for the poor quality of breakfast and amenities in the room.

• Kurt (10/5): Short walk to the beach and a lovely place to stay. - This is such a sweet little hotel! My partner and I enjoyed it. The hotel was clean, cozy, and the staff was extremely responsive. The person who cleaned our room went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. There is a light breakfast every morning, a nice outdoor space, and (I didn’t know this before visiting) you can borrow bikes, beach chairs, beach towels, etc. from the hotel. The only negative I’ll say is that we could usually hear people in neighboring rooms, but that isn’t anything they can change (it’s just an old building) and I would still much prefer this hotel with its quirks over anything else in the area. 10/10, would stay here again!

• William (10/5): - Beautiful modern 1920’s hotel is on a quiet street near an historic area. Tucked between a serene neighborhood and bustling Orange avenue with shops and restaurants. So easy to walk to everything including the beach which is two blocks away. I highly recommend the Junior suite, it is spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast of fresh fruit bowls, yogurt and hard boiled eggs was perfect for us with a cup of coffee out on the patio. Afternoons they provided just-baked cookies. We walked 3 miles along the beach one morning and saw other hotel guests borrowing beach chairs and beach cruisers. As for parking, it was very easy to find spots in the adjacent neighborhood. On Expedia it says parking is included but it is not. The staff met our every need and was very professional and friendly. We felt very relaxed and taken care of here. Highly recommended hotel!

Staff was attentive and hospitable. Property was clean and rooms are spacious.

• Karen (6/5): - The fact that they have no parking is kind of a big deal. We spent so much time driving around looking for parking. If you don't have a car or are taking Uber for trips, then no problem.

• Chaza (9/5): Very lovely and relaxing stay - We loved this cute little hotel, very clean and couldn’t be located any better! Close to all restaurants and shops and to the beach as well. We didn’t need to take the car anywhere. They provide bikes, beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, even sand toys for kids. Additionally they offered complimentary champagne and a small continental breakfast every morning. We enjoyed our two nights here and will be back! I wish they provided a pack n play for smaller kids or child seats on the bikes. Outside of that everything was great!
• Carime (6/5): Lacking in hospitality made up by location - Location is great and the facilities are clean The hospitality and engagement of the front desk staff was lacking overall. The front desk was frequently empty and if you did see someone they were less than enthused to see you. Upon entering the hotel on the day we arrived (yes we knew were before check in but wanted to touch base and ask some questions) no greeting or any acknowledgment we walked through the door. After greeting the staff member, was just given a reminder that we were before check in. Not a great first impression at all. Also breakfast is very continental.

Staff welcoming and always asking if there was anything that we needed. Enjoyed having the beach chairs and towels. Great dining options just around the corner. Nice to relax on the beaches with the complimentary beach chairs and towels.

• MARK (10/5): - The property is beautiful and very close to Coronado Beach and restaurants. The bed is luxurious. The staff is warm and welcoming. Cookies are available in the afternoon. The lovely continental breakfast can be taken on the patio. Excellent!
• Wenjue (6/5): - Have booked a king room but got a queen sized bed (Rm 101) instead . The lady who helped me check-in did mention the complimentary champagne, but then she was interrupted by someone else at the gate so no champagne in the end. The room at the end of the isle on the first floor had not enough daylight if you didn’t turn on all the lights. But there was only one switch for all the recessed lights so it was quite inconvenient when someone was sleeping and you only needed a little bit of lighting. It did have a very small window by the bedside but due to privacy I kept it shut day and night because the passers-by could see or hear almost everything from the courtyard. Parking was a little tricky during the day (only two hours parking in front of the building) but no problem for the night. Not sure if I will stay again but just try to avoid the first floor if possible.
