• Zhan (10/5): One of the very best! - Excellent hotel!! It’s such an amazing property that was bright, luxurious, modern and at a great location. Since the photos and reviews were not very good, we didn’t expect much. What a great surprise! We enjoyed staying there so much, we postponed our trip to Rome to stay one day longer. Everything was nice but the kitchen stove was not working completely. There was no kettle to boil water. However, you will enjoy everything else and never forget the experience!
• John (2/5): Basic bedroom—- very limited kitchenette - Room had a very poorly equipped kitchenette. No corkscrew (! And staff refused to provide one even after agreeing to do so if we returned to the hotel used for check in which we did), very limited and worn out utensils, no dishwashing sponges or soap, no salt or pepper, no kettle. This is no suitable for anyone expecting to take some meals in the room. There is a had to find washing machine (2) in the basement but no dryer.. just three small clothes lines.

Unfortunately there isn't a parking area, you have to Park outside and you have to pay. Woud be nice to know this bevore booking! Especially when you are arriving with a 1 year old baby.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Frustrating - Be warned that the check-in is not at the residence. This was not communicated well. The free wifi requires a password, but this is not written anywhere in the accommodation. Communication is poor. The room was ok, and the location was good. However, I will not return to this accommodation. There are many better places in Parma.
• Frances (10/5): A little piece of heaven. - I rented a 4 room apt at this location and was completely satisfied. Very clean except the shower had some mold.Kitchen had dishes and utensles for 4 people,including a cheese grater and corkscrew. I had a king size bed and also a foldout sofa in the dining/living room. very quiet street in the center of town. Very walkable.This apt had an elevator but I still had to navigate 12 steps to get to it. I use a walker. Very nice views of a park and an old church. Free concerts nightly at house of music about 500 yards away. awesome. This is a light tourist area and very safe to walk around even in the evening. Make sure you read the check in instructions as you check in at a different location. Shuttle provided to the apt with advance notice.
• Johnny (8/5): - You can ask for shuttle to drop you off at the Residence after you check in at Novotel by the train station. Not when you check out. But, the walk with luggage was about 15 min, it was not bad. The facility is old. No question about that. It was well maintained. We did not have any problem. There are some stairs you must climb before you can reach an elevator. And the elevator is small, 4 people is probably the maximum it would fit. There is a facility person and two vending machines on site, not much else. However, you probably can get everything you need within 10 to15 min walk. For other help, such as calling a taxi, you can dial 9 on the phone in the room, (yes they still have landline) to ask the operator at Novotel to call it for you. It is a nice quiet place for a short stay.
• Patricia (6/5): - The “Parent” hotel, Novotel was beautiful, modern and nice. The residence experience of staying in apartment, wasn’t great, but it was ok. The art on the wall was a bit distasteful, and a bit inappropriate?? The decor/furnishings are older and antique but clean a comfortable. There was no coffee, and I suppose that was because it was an apartment not a hotel room. But the staff were amazing, and Parma was great to explore and the location made it easy to enjoy all the Parma has to offer.

• Hermione J. (8/5): - Read the description well before booking. Because we knew what to expect (mostly). Good, quiet location crossed from a small park. We really liked the kitchenette and small table and chairs. Good size room for Italy. The only problems we had were that the room phones didn’t work and the morning reception desk at Novotel didn’t respond to our WhatsApp messages. It was pouring rain the morning we had to checkout. Because we had to check out at the other hotel and didn’t know how to schedule a taxi we were soaked from walking to checkout.

• Valentina (6/5): Una pessima esperienza! - Le foto dell'appartmento non corrispondevano a quelle viste sulla preview. Edificio vecchio, con poca o totale assenza di insonorizzazione - rumori dal portone e gente nei corridoi udibile chiaramente anche se queste parlavano a voce normale. Non siamo riusciti a chiudere occhio. Pulizia della casa accettabile, ma ragni al soffitto e doccino che appena aperta acqua calda ha fatto fuoriuscire residui di ruggine e acqua marroncina. Per il prezzo offerto, assolutamente sconsigliato! Non ci torneremo mai piú.

The residence's area is restricted to the traffic but you have to pick up the key at Novotel, outside the restricted area, go to your residence, and , before leaving ..bring back to Novotel the key. What about tourist's car pass to restricted central areas ? None. What about tourist without car ? Should they walk kilometres with their luggage to pick up and give back the key ? Novotel awfully is saving money on customers service but they do not advice you about this check in procedure before buyng their rooms

• Amber (2/5): Check in is 1.5 km away at a different hotel - We were so disappointed that we didn't stay at the hotel. We were only supposed to stay one night because we were on a road trip heading home. We booked it because it was located in the center of town. But when we arrived after a long day driving we found the building locked with a small sign on it saying that we had to go to the Novotel Parma to check in, which was over a mile away and an extra ten minutes in the car due to the way the one way streets work. We called that hotel and they told us that you had to check in and park your car there and then they would bring you in a shuttle to the Residence Liberty. No where on the hotels.com website or app did it say we would be faced with such an inconvenience. Of I had known that I would have never chosen that hotel for just one night. We ended up asking the Novotel to give is rooms there instead to make it easier on us. Bit I had to pay a lot of extra money to do so.

Selve lejligheden var ikke super charmerende indrettet, men der var rart at være - og mest af alt billigt - hvilket man ikke som sådan mærkede!

• Verified traveler (6/5): Affordable, but... - I would characterize this as more of an air b & b experience rather than a hotel. We had to walk two blocks to another hotel to check in and out, there was no daily cleaning of any type (no beds made, no towels exchanged) and if we wanted to use the little kitchen area there was a note that we’d be charged 20 euros for it to be cleaned. All that being said, we probably would have still chosen to stay here as it was very affordable and a decent location. I just wish this info was disclosed beforehand as we would have come better prepared (like bring more toilet paper!).

• Verified traveler (10/5): Ótima estadia. - O quarto é muito bom e a localização é fantástica. Só atente-se ao fato de que que o check in é em local diferente do hotel (próximo estação de trem) e ter que refazer o percurso com malas grandes será muito ruim.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Arrived to the hotel and there was no one there to help with check in. Just a sign saying needed to go to another hotel to get the room key. That hotel says permanently closed. Found the replacement hotel which had no parking at to stop and check in. Was finally given the room key to head back to the originally booked hotel. Arrived in the room and the heating was left on full blast and a running tap in the bathroom. When checking out the person at reception wasn’t very helpful and didn’t offer any assistance with who to contact. It is a well placed hotel but there is absolutely no information about what to do upon check in and out or help offered. Rooms also need updating.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - All'arrivo, che si è effettuato in un'altra struttura, la prima sorpresa: non c'era la navetta per accompagnarci al residence, nè è stata proposta una soluzione alternativa. Soluzione: taxi a nostre spese.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Buona posizione ma migliorabile il comfort. - Come note negative devo sottolineare il mancato transfert dall'hotel Astoria al residence, anche se 5 gg prima abbiamo chiamato x prenotarlo. In pratica abbiamo dedotto che a coloro che prenotano con hotels non permettono di prenotare il transfert ma gli viene fornito solo se sul momento c'è ne la disponibilità. Poi al check-in in un primo momento sembrava non essere disponibile il monolocale da noi prenotato ed hanno cercato di assegnarci un'altra sistemazione. Alla fine però il monolocale ci è stato assegnato. Abbiamo immaginato ci fosse stato un problema con la fogna settica, perché il primo gg c'era un forte profumo di deodorante delle pulizie che copriva un leggero odore di fogna proveniente dal bagno. Infine ultimo aspetto negativo è stata l'assenza di una spugna con detersivo nella cucina. Invece come positivo indico sicuramente la posizione, a due passi dal centro e dai locali. La pulizia della stanza, anche se il letto per noi era un poco duro (ed a molle). Il monolocale era poi molto ampio. Inoltre abbiamo trovato comoda la macchinetta delle bevande presente nel corridoio.
• Mary (2/5): - La réception dans un restaurant avec des receptionnistes incompétentes, le logement était affreux sans lumière. Le chauffage s'éteint à 23h donc toute la nuit on a grelotté de froid. On a demandé des couvertures, ils en donné un seul petit pour toute la famille, les lampes marchaient pas, s'était sale, vraiment terrible.

• Tess (8/5): - The room was a good size, although it felt outdated because of all the wooden furniture and old bed spread. The shower head was really weak, and the kitchen costs extra to use. The room had a really strong smell of cleaning products, especially the curtains, which made it hard to breathe unless you had the windows open. The location is really good, close to the main streets, and in a nice and quiet area. Checking in and out at another hotel was fine because it’s close to the train station, so it’s good if you’re traveling by train.
• Francisco (8/5): Parma - Estadia foi boa. Quarto bom com acessorios para complementar a estadia. Muito bem limpo. A parte do serviço que nao foi boa foi o fato do Check-in e Check-out ficar um pouco distante do Hotel ... estacionamento na Rua sai mais em conta pagar o dia, pois a hora e caro.
• Katrine Yderstræde (8/5): Fin lejlighed - Ikke prangende, men fin lejlighed, der er ideel til en familie (3-4 personer). Beliggenheden er rigtig fin, da området er stille men tæt på centrum. En smule irriterende, at receptionen ligger på et andet hotel en god gåtur derfra. Dog fint, at der er parkeringsmuligheder (mod betaling) ved receptionen.

• David (10/5): perfect for a short stay. - This property is in a excellent position within Parma, close enough to get everywhere by foot but situated in a quite are of the town. The apartment is a little outdated but saying that we had an excellent stay and couldn't ask for anything that the apartment couldn't supply. The bed was excellent and large, the electric shutters meant we had complete darkness and as it is in a quiet area our nights were perfect. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to any visitor to an absolutely wonderful part of Italy.

• Michael (8/5): No stress at this Stresa hotel - A great location, just off a pretty square filled with cafe, bars and boutiques and just a few metres from the lake and ferry wharf to the famous islands. There was a lift to the room which was clean and light but had no fridge. The buffet breakfast was bountiful, while our half board dinner of mushroom pasta, trout , and dessert was pleasant. Staffers polite and friendly. Good value for the price
• Geraldina (10/5): - Ubytovanie naozaj nemalo chybu, len parkovanie trochu ďaleko, ale ináč výborné. Vynikajúci izbový servis. Rezidencia sa nachádza v srdci mesta. Priľahlé námestie v pozadí s Katedrálou poskytujú krásny výhľad z okna izby. Osobitne sme ocenili možnosť parkovať v podzemnej garáži, patriacej hotelovej spoločnosti. Ladislav a Geraldina

• Anthony (8/5): Good value for money - Nice place and attentive staff. Central location and good value for money. Would definitely stay again next time in Parma.
• Rose (8/5): Central Parma apartment - Great place 10 minutes from station and right in historic centre, 2 minutes from Duomo. Our room had a loft with bed and downstairs with good bathroom and living area with big sofa bed. There is a kitchenette in living area so you could cook - we didn’t - and it was very well appointed with excellent equipment, China, pans etc. Sign said if you do cook then there is an extra 20 euros charge for a ‘deep clean’. Our only issue with this place was that you need to checkin at another hotel which is located at station. This is not explained anywhere so we took a taxi to the Liberty Residence Hotel only to be told that we had to go back to the station area to the other hotel to checkin. The cleaning lady who told us this had no English but she tried so hard to help, rang the hotel, we spoke to their staff who had excellent English and it was all sorted out. I recommend that the checkin arrangements be clearly set out on the site to avoid initial confusion. Otherwise a safe, quiet place in an excellent location. The cleaning lady at the Rtesidence and Luca at the Hotel Astoria where we checked in were very helpful, friendly and nice.

• Monika (8/5): A nice hotel in the centre of Parma - The room was very big, clean and comfortable, and the hotel conveniently located. There is one massive downside about it. You check in and have breakfast in Astoria, which is very near the railway station and everything would be fine if that information was highlighted enough in the description. I walked from the station in the rain, passed by Astoria and when I finally found the hotel it turned out I needed to go back to where I came from. The staff at Liberty were very helpful, made a call and a person working at Astoria simply brought the key.

• BOB (6/5): Rather dreary room. - Check-in premises was being refurbished so parking not available. Charged 20 Euros for parking - which was a surprise, but the parking was excellent.
• Esteban (8/5): - Guest are complaining the check-in Service as we have to go to the parent Hotel in Astoria for checking in. We have to walk for 11mins to reach the hotel and take the keys and Back to the residence. Then afterwards, we have to carry our stuff to walk again for checking out. The property is so good and quite.
• Soso (2/5): ZLAVIANA IS VERY RUDE AND MEAN!!!! - ZLAVIANA WAS VERY RUDE AND MEAN TO MY FAMILY, SHE GOT THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I VE EVER SEEN, SHE KEPT SAYING THAT EXPEDIA MADE A MISTAKE IN MY RESERVATION, I ASKED HER TO CALL EXPEDIA, THEY TOLD HER AND ASSURE HER THAT THERE WERE NO MISTAKE AT ALL.HER ATTITUDE WAS VERY SHOCKING AND REPUGNANT!!!THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!SHE WAS TALKING VERY LOUD AND SCREAMING IN FRONT OF OTHER GUESTS, THEY WERE SHOCKED TOO, I WON T RECOMMEND THE LIBERTY NOT EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY.SHE RUINED OUR STAY, IT WAS HARD FOR ME AND FOR MY FAMILY TO MOVE ON......WE STILL WONDERING WHAT MADE HER ACT LIKE THAT????!!!! THE DIRECTOR DAVIDE WITNESSED THE SITUATION HE OFFERED US A TAXI RIDE FOR FREE AND EVEN TREATED US TO DINNER, IF WE WERE WRONG , HE WOULD HAVE NEVER DONE THAT, I M STILL WAITING FOR THE GM Mr. ALESSANDRINI REPLY, ONE MORE THING SHE WANTED TO CHARGE US FOR THE SOFA BED, I HAD A PREPAID RESERVATION ALL WAS PAID FOR , MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN SLEEPING ON THE WORST COUCH EVER , WAKING UP EVERY MORNING WITH BACK PAIN, I CALLED THE FRONT DESK SO MANY TIMES I SPOKE TO Alexander AND I LET HIM KNOW THAT THE COUCH IS NOT TOO COMFY AND MY DAUGHTER COULD FEEL ALL NIGHT LONG THE SPRING OF THE COUCH, BUT UNFORTUNATELY NOBODY SEEMED TO CARE.TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESIDENCE AND IF CHOOSE TO STAY THERE BE SURE THERE WILL BE COMPLAINTS.... YOU LL GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Attic Room....no windows....just 2 skylights - No staff on sight. Too difficult to request a change. Checking in was done about a mile away. Excellent location for walking to old town. Would have preferred lower floor with a window.
• Mary (6/5): Bella Parma! - We stayed in Parma for only two nights. The central location of the hotel made it easy to visit historical sites. The city is very clean, people very friendly and helpful, excellent food, especially the Prosciutto.
• Geoff (8/5): Spacious Self Catering Studio - Studio is clean, roomy with comfortable double bed, well equipped kitchenette and bathroom. TV and Wifi worked well. Electric window screen ensured privacy from street view. Room was serviced daily. Handy location - within 10 minutes walk of the stazione centrale. Some minor maintenance issues with the room. Neighbourhood is quiet but piazzale opposite is frequented on occasions by itinerants. Would stay again.
