Verified traveler (6/5): Needs a renovation. - The property was run down. There was no one at the desk. You had to dial 0 to get someone to come check you in. The toilet in the room was broken, and the carpet was stained. There was a cigarette hole in the shower curtain, and you could see light around the door. But, the bed, and the sheets were clean and comfortable. Property overall felt like in a safe area.

Justin (8/5): - Super clean, room was well set up, beds were decent. I recall 4 minor negatives about the stay: 1) the window curtain was separated at the bottom therefore the AC unit blew it open. 2) the inside curtain was missing, you could clearly see into the room, I mitigated this with electrical tape. 3) there was nochain lock on the door. The brackets were there. But the chain had been ripped off. On top of that the deadbolt would not lock because it was offline camted about 2 mm and I did not have the strength to pick the door up to get it locked all the way. I corrected this by putting two tables and a chair in front of the door. 4) Not really a Big Deal, but I believe there was only one Coke machine at the hotel and the credit card piece was offline, the dollar insertion piece wouldn't accept a regular size dollar. Ultimately, I resorted to coinage 10 quarters for $2.50. With two attempts I was able to insert nine quarters and the 10th one disappeared both times so that Coke machine now owes me 50 cents.

DAVID (2/5): - They did not show my travelocity res so had rent when I got there at inflated cost. Room had no sheets so called desk with no answer. Walked back down and finally rang someone to it who then got the room made up in 15 minutes. Room was nice and roomy though. Ice maker working. Soft sheets. Nice granite and tile.

Chandler (4/5): Cleanliness - My boyfriend and I went for a night away together at this hotel. We had been to another Scottish inn and suites a few months ago that was awesome so we went here. Sadly it was not the same experience. The couch in the room appeared dirty, their was an odor when you walked in, bathroom did not look like it had been cleaned, and the sheets and bed were dirty. Their were stains all over the fitted and lose sheets. I found hair in the bedding as well including pubic hair. We had already paid for the room so we stayed but thankfully I brought my own bedding to sleep on. The guys at the front desk were very nice tho. I just will not stay here again.

Harold (10/5): Every bit as comfortable as a Hilton - I was looking for a clean and economical place to stay while on Houston/Galveston trip with two sons. This location was midpoint and coincided with visit to Johnson Space Center. We also stayed on beach in Galveston and high end hotels in Houston. What I noticed.. This location was well cared for and had "pride of ownership" written on it. I believe these are the owners who do all the work. And, it shows. My compliments to the staff for making our visit every bit as enjoyable as a Hilton.

Furniture was old and left over from previous owners from years ago. No remote for tv, no do not disturb sign, no bible, no channel list for tv, toilet kept running, water in shower was not hot and no coffee for the room or from the lobby. No breakfast and the parking lot was very trashy. Office workers were nice enough, but this place needs improvements, like now!

JerpAngel (2/5): - We stayed in room 217. The bed was so hard it would have been better to sleep on the floor. Every time I sat on the edge of the bed it would make a popping noise as if the frame was about to break. The door frame was broken on the bathroom door so the door would not properly close or latch. The room smelled of stall pee, the tub was rusted and looked as if it had never been properly cleaned. The couch that was in the room looked the same as the tub as if no one had bothered to ever dust it. The long term resident in the next room was smoking weed you could smell.it seeping through the walls and door. Overall this was the worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. I will never stay at another Scottish Inn. Management was rude and the overall look and feel of this hotel was disgusting and disgraceful.

Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointing stay - My wife and I had decided to go out of town. When we got to the hotel, the parking lot is extremely narrow and small, making it hard to get in and out, as well as only accessible from one direction off of the main road. We got to the room where we were assigned to and the air conditioner was turned off, and even after turning it on max, it wasn't cooling the room down at all. We complained to the staff and they moved us from the King size bed we had reserved to a room with 2 Queen size beds. When we got there, we discovered that the housekeeping staff had put the top flat sheet OVER the main blanket on BOTH beds, so we ended up remaking the beds so that the top flat sheet was where it was supposed to be, under the blanket. After that, my wife used the bathroom and the toilet paper she used wasn't getting flushed down. We complained to the staff and they came and plunged the toilet. However, even after that, the paper didn't go down again. We complained again in the morning, and this time after the staff plunged the toilet, the paper would then flush. The bathtub plug was also visibly rusty. My wife also asked for additional towels as the 3 small (for us) towels weren't quite enough for us, and they would not give us additional towels, only swap for what we had already used. If it wasn't for the staff, this would be a flat 1 star review. The staff is the only saving grace for this hotel.

There were inappropriate and loud people out all hours of the day and night. The bathroom was not cleaned well. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. We asked for an early check-in and it was no problem at all.

Children’s dirty hand prints all over walls, bad remodel job where the Sheetrock was coming apart from the side of the shower. Nothing felt clean. Not impressed and felt a bit sketchy.

Verified traveler (8/5): Nice but needs a bit of TLC but wonderful staff - Room was a great size. Was clean but smelled musty and dank. Needed a decent air-freshener or something like that. Bed was clean with several pillows but very worn down. Felt like we sank about a foot when we sat down. Definitely not a quality bed but it got us through the night without sleeping on the floor. The shower head absolutely needed to be de-scaled. Worked well but looking at it was kind of gross. The decor was decent. Very homey. Didn't feel like your typically cookie cutter hotel room. The front desk staff was very nice; both in the evening and in the morning. The gentleman in the morning was even attentive to our children. Noticing their interest in the fish tank they had displayed; he brought out the fish food and let them both feed the fish. Very nice! Continental breakfast was a bit lacking. Juice machine had horrid orange juice that was watered down and a strange color. Waffle batter was way too thick. But it was food and the cereal wasn't stall and the milk wasn't rancid . So it wasn't a deal breaker. There are also many places to eat and entertain yourself with very close by.
