• Hallie (1/5): Better Business Bureau will be contacted. I would like my Wednesday refunded to me. - Nothing, the discover the hotel had roches, the toilet leaked, the owner were theives, there was a man before me at the counter had issue with payment. They took a day of my payment and asked me to leave and called the police when I was ready at all for a departure. Because I was suspose to stay an extra day. I did not like their lack of ethical business practice, the unclean facility, the broken toilet, lack of clean liens provide as well as toiletry after you have paid the hotel fee.

• Marquez (1/5): Terrible experience! - I have no idea because I did not spend the 2 nights that I paid for. I received no refund. I paid for 1 room for 2 nights. They would not allow me to change my stay to Wednesday night and Thursday from Monday night to Tuesday night but they said they had an open room for those two days. They would not refund me my money. They took my money & I received nothing in return. I am talking with the Better Business Bureau about the scam. I will no longer stay at a Motel 6 nor recommend that motel chain to anyone. Very frustrating and disappointing situation to be in.🤯

• natasha (10/5): Mom/daughter getaway 2026 - We loved the fact we were away from being downtown, but still able to be close to it. We loved the restaurant next door to Eric's. A fabulous place. Both the restaurant and hotel staff are amazing. We ended up having to leave super early March 1st 2026 due a fire on our property and had to leave a vehicle there because I was supposed to drive home, but I didn't have my seizure meds yet being that early so my 19 year drove us home. The staff member said it was okay and took our information down. We are going to call back today and inform them when my daughter will be back that way as she attends college there. All of the staff there are amazing, the lady at the front desk when checked in Friday night, the night on Saturday is super sweet, funny, and friendly. The housekeep Saturday morning was amazing and she was so sweet. She's most definitely a hard worker. I didn't get her name though. Yesterday morning the front desk was so understanding and the sweetness was amazing. Our experience here was great and will be back and will be recommending to friends and family 😊 the breakfast is good, just please don't let someone burn their waffle and send the fire alarm off in the whole hotel.. We didn't do it, someone else had. The only issue we had was the no hot tub. Come on now I'm old and have health issues and the heat helps. It still was an amazing stay 😊

I reserved more days before my time to check out what's up and I still had to leave or pay a $20 check in early fee I didn't think that was right so I left and came back. I think that is bad business.

• Hayden (1/5): Touch couple nights but it was cheap if that’s what you’re looking for - Hard to find a cheaper bed in Bloomington-Normal. Somewhat near the university and fast food options nearby. Whole place smells like cigarette smoke. The hallways looked like they have never been cleaned. Lots of sketchy people hanging around. The room itself was ok but could use a very deep clean. No shampoo, soap, or coffee included with stay.

• Amy (1/5): Do not stay if you can help it; dirty and unsafe for single travelers or families. - Service at front desk was friendly and helpful. She was behind bulletproof glass, which should have been a clue for the rest of my experience. Property was disgustingly filthy and seems like it was being rented out. Walked to my room, didn't feel even remotely safe with the locals watching me in the hallway to see where I went. Turned around and walked straight back to my car and left.
• Samantha (3/5): - The a/c was new, new furniture and linens,cheap. Front desk staff was nice. And I could book and pay with cash on arrival. Shower had a hole with tape and was painted poorly, shower head leaked when you moved it, the sink faucet also leaked when turned on. Looked like a flippers DIY with poor finishing and rushed paint jobs. Front desk was completely glassed in giving me vibes that they obviously have had some problems to merit that expense when your taping holes in shower floors.

• Tyler (10/5): Good recharge for the next day! - I liked that I could see my car out of the window adjacent to my room! I didn't like that there wasn't a security latch on the door along with the deadbolt!
• Jerad (6/5): - I like the location and it's convenient to other stores and the town. As well as the Amtrak being nearby. The lack of funds that aren't put back into the infrastructure of the building and all the associated areas needed to support this hotel.

• Fairbanks (3/5): - The brothers of the children arrived later in the day and reported that the people at the front desk were compassionate when told that they needed to see their siblings and explained the circumstances. I was in a state of crisis when I arrived at the motel. I traveled from Chicago in the middle of the night to pick up my cousin's children from a police station after my cousin suddenly died of a heart attack during a road trip. It was literally freezing outside and I didn't want to make the children sleep in the car the same night that they witnessed their mother die. I was able to choose an arrival time of 6am through booking.com and assumed that meant I would be welcome at that time. I was not. It was very hard to convince the lady at the front desk to let us check in before 3pm. I had to pay an additional $40 and the lady told me she was still doing me a big favor by letting me check in before 7am with the additional $40. The policies seemed unaccommodating and left me with a desire to never stay at Motel 6 again.

• Inez (1/5): You get what you pay for. - I liked that there was plenty of parking. The bed and pillows felt like I was in a spa, they were pretty comfortable. I also liked how there was a fridge, microwave and tv. I found a roach. My room was supposed to be non-smoking and it smelled like cigarettes all over the floor all day and night.
