Janine (7/5): Overall, our stay was comfortable and pleasant. - Clean environment. Sea front access. Close to a lot of cafés and other restaurants. Safe area. The walk to split was relaxing. When room was cleaned we didn't get fresh towels and the water and coffee were not replenished.

LUDMILLA (8/5): Gostei do hotel com estilo de pousada e ambiente seguro para quem viaja sozinha. - Ambiente limpo, agradável e charmoso. O wifi no quarto estava com sinal fraco, mas o Oscar resolveu rapidamente. O cheiro de produto de limpeza no quarto estava forte, deixei a janela aberta desde a hora que cheguei até a noite, e qd voltei para o quarto já não tinha mais cheiro. As varandas super agradáveis para sentar e curtir o hotel ao ar livre, além da piscina. As moças da limpeza foram muito simpáticas. O funcionário na recepção durante a noite, precisa ser mais simpático. No ralo da banheira do quarto número 1, onde fiquei, havia muito cabelo, acredito que faz muito tempo que não o limpam!...eca... Pena que havia sargassum, prejudicando o visual da praia e o acesso ao mar.

La solución que nos dieron fue un ambientador. El restaurante del hotel es caro. Llegamos media hora antes y no nos dejaron hacer el check in.

ashleylT4906TY (6/5): Dirty hotel & fun snorkel tour - I stayed in one of the dorm rooms here. The facilities like the bathroom are pretty disgusting and old. The door didn’t lock, the toilet toilets, barely flushed, and the floors were always soaked in water and sand. Definitely didn’t feel clean. I also did a snorkeling tour with them. My guides were Bingey and Chingey. They were definitely Brose friendly and made the tour fun for everybody! However, just beware if you’re a young female, you will probably get hit on.

Lo reportamos el primer día pero no hicieron nada. La nevera tampoco funcionaba, también la reportamos y no hicieron nada.. El lugar en general olía mal y los ambientadores tampoco funcionaban.. En general no me gustó quedarme en este hotel.. Una de las peores experiencias en hoteles.

Additionally, the hostel staff were kind and welcoming, which made parts of the stay more pleasant despite the issues experienced at the hotel. Our experience at this hotel in Caye Caulker was quite frustrating. From the beginning, there was a clear language barrier, which made communication with the staff very difficult. Unfortunately, their attitude was not understanding and at times even rude, which made the situation worse. Regarding the food service, it was very poor: the dishes were served cold and on several occasions were incomplete. This, combined with the lack of willingness to resolve issues, made the experience even more uncomfortable. Traveling with children requires a certain level of support and empathy from the hotel, but in this case, it was the opposite. The lack of cooperation from the staff made the stay especially challenging. I would not recommend it, especially for families.

Property too close to unfinished house & cemetery. Smell of sewage,so spent waking hours away. Bathroom very tiny.

Viele Touris kommen nur für 2 Tage, schnorcheln... und zu Riffen -teilweise tot - mit angefütterten Fischen..... Viel Trubel, Lärm und Verkehr - knatternde Golfkarren- Restaurantpreise wie in Europa. Mathijs (7/5): We enjoyed our stay overall but given the price we expected more - Nice pool, easy access to day trips, location The fountains of the pool kept us somewhat awake at night since our room was next to the pool. This couldn’t be turned off unfortunately. Room wasn’t very clean on arrival (e.g. fake eyelashes in the bathroom, lots of dust under the beds). Small rooms for family of 4. Bathroom and furniture a bit outdated and could use an upgrade. Yet we did add an extra day to our stay because it was too much hassle to go somewhere else for just 1 night. We came back to Caye Caulker a few days later but went to another hotel for those days. Overall high price to lesser quality didn’t match our expectations.

Telika (8/5): It’s a good value for your money .. - I’ve stayed at a few different hotels on the island and tropical has one of the best pools by far.. The rooms are just a little outdated but not in a bad way ..
Lacetta (4/5): You get what you pay for - The people at the front desk were nice The pool smell. I got stung by a yellow jacket. The bed was hard. They did not clean the room much at all. I had to go to them because the trash had not been empty. I ask for the sheets to be changed. It was never done. I had gotten sick and had to go to the hospital/urgent care, I got sick 25 times and the toilet was never cleaned. I cleaned as I went and did not make a mess. I will never go the hotel again and I told many people about the place

HELENE (1/5): Did not stay here. Too dirty. The Bar was not open at the pool - The place was dirty and stunk like sewage. We could not take the smell. We could not take the smell. We told them we were not going to check in after all and they said I had to pay anyways. I told them they can provide availability to someone else and we were leaving.

Katherine (7/5): Nice design but disorganized staff - The pool is nice. The layout of the hotel is nice and spacious. The hotel is at the end of the main strip which makes it a quieter location. The bathroom is outdated and old. The toilet seat was cracked. We arrived at 3:30 (check-in opened at 3:00) and we were told our room was not ready, and that we could wait by the pool until it was ready. We went back to the check-in at 4:30 and they said our room had been given to someone else. After half an hour they found us another room, which was a downgrade of what we booked and paid for. We paid for a courtyard view and we were given a room at the far back overlooking pipes that would overflow when the shower was being used. It was very disappointing and disorganized. The hotel is at the end of the strip, so you have to walk quite a bit to get to the strip and the main beach area.

EVA (9/5): Ottima assistenza per escursioni, Henry può tutto chiedete a lui!! - La vicinanza al cimitero non da affatto noia. Le aree comuni sono molto pulite e la vista mare da quasi tutte le camere. La notte si sentivano delle vibrazioni forti come di un frigorifero, di un generatore , non all’interno della camera. Le lenzuola marroni non erano molto invitanti.

Katie (9/5): Perfect location and well looked after facilities. - Great location and facilities. Unfortunately we only stayed one night so didn’t get to try the pool. They gave us a different room than we booked but when we questioned it they gave us a voucher to spend at the restaurant to compensate. The shower could have been warmer but that’s usual for C America.

jh (8/5): Vakantie - Mooi zwembad en leuke huisjes die goed schoon worden gemaakt. Hotel is actief met excursies aanbieden. Echter vertrekken deze nooit omdat ze minimaal zes deelnemers willen hebben voor ze vertrekken. Verderop wel de excursie kunnen doen. Het restaurant is vergeleken met de rest van caye caulker erg duur. Betaal bij sommige restaurants bijna de helft vergeleken met het hotel.

Andrew (7/5): Good affordable accommodation in excellent location by the sea. - Affordable accommodation next to the sea, with a pleasant sea view pool area (although the poolside bar wasn't yet open in October). Convenient for the north and south of the island. Friendly staff. I was re-visiting, having briefly stayed in May this year. I was happy to extend my stay from four to six nights, relocating from my bungalow to a cheaper and better 'deluxe double' room. On my previous stay I had a double room but on this visit I decided to book a bungalow instead. However, the bungalow was smaller, had no fridge and had a noisy ceiling fan. I was happy to extend my stay though and relocated to a superior and cheaper double room. Also, there was a bar and restaurant on site, although I found more suitable eating options elsewhere.
Sunil (8/5): Good Location, clean rooms with AC - I am reviewing this during the off-season. The price was excellent, sea front, has a pool, the rooms are nice, like cabins. The ferry port is 7/8 minute walk. Tons of bars and restaurants close by and even on-site. The wifi was fast. They let me check in a few hours early. You can also book your snorkelling tours on-site. Prices are decent. It can take a little while to check out as the rooms have to be inspected, so if you have a ferry, check out 10 mins earlier to be on the safe side.

Luke (8/5): - The property is in a good location, easy to walk to and from the dock and shops. The staff were very friendly, special shoutouts to Miss B at the front desk and Henry who helped with booking tours and transport for us! Pool is very nice, the rooms were comfortable and spacious.

Christie (4/5): - Bed was very uncomfortable. AC broke and had to change rooms. Door not very secure. Did not clean room daily. Javon was very friendly and Javier/Henry was very helpful.
Catherine (7/5): Good location some of the accommodation tired - Staff very helpful, brought safe to room, and happily moved us when air-conditioning stopped working. Good location. First room we were in, Room 6, had the oldest, most stained bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel - very offputting. The room we were moved to Room 2 had an upgraded version which was much better so obviously they have a programme ongoing.
Amber (10/5): - We got a cheaper room, and it was still very clean! Took me a couple days to get used to the hard mattress...lol. Staff was absolutely amazing! They were all very kind and very accommodating to us! Henry, the guy on the beach side that plans excursions for tourists is amazing! He works very hard to make sure each excursion is your best experience! We did an all day snorkel excursion that was so awesome! Oliver was our snorkeling guide and he did an amazing job at making sure we saw everything! He is so informative! We will most definitely stay again and have Henry book all of our excursions! We love Belize! And Caye Caulker is our favorite place!

Dean (8/5): Overall, great trip, loved Caye Caulker! - The pool was being worked on throughout our entire stay (9 days). We were compensated with 2 measly free breakfasts. When we asked for more coffee pods for our room, we were told each cost $3. "Henry" made up for any disappointments. He arranged for our snorkel excursion, which was the highlight of our trip! I paddle boarded on the paddle board that was provided. And even though it rained all but one day, we like the rain, we're from the hot desert of Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
Rachel (4/5): - Very convenient location. But the pictures posted aren’t showing the actual property as it is. Room is outdated and not clean. Rooms booked from Air BNB are different than what posted on other platforms. I can say so much more, but I enjoy and rather support Belize owned establishments and wish the best. Unfortunately I wouldn’t ever book here again.

MikeW3613 (6/5): Feedback on our stay in September 2025 - We stayed in cabin 17 and 18 from the 7th to the 10th of september. I have previously written the hotel / owner direcly with some feed back, but since they have not replied I have decided to write my feedback here. Upon checkin we were to pay BZ$ 80 or leave a signed creditcard with no amount on it as a deposit. I signed the blank creditcard slip under protest as I did not have enough cash on me. I then hurried to an ATM and got the cash. When I got back to the hotel, no more than 15 minutes later, the creditcard slip had mysteriously dissapeared. So my signed Creditcard slip was out there for anyone to use. I decided to call my bank and cancel my card. Luckily I always travel with more than 1 card. I have travelled the world for more than 40 years and I have never had to sign a blank creditcard upon checkin before. So for anybody planning in visiting this hotel, be careful to give your creditcard numbers. When we checked out the receptionist could not find my cash deposit. As we had to hurry to the ferry, we decided to leave. To be honest I am not 100% sure that I gave the reception the cash deposit when my creditcard slip mysteriously dissapeared. But pretty sure I did. The cabins could use some TLC. The toiletseat was loose and so was the bathroom sink. I informed the reception about the toilet and the sink, but nothing was done to fix it. The mosquito nets did not cover the whole of the windows and there were cracks under the doors to welcome uninvited guests. The bed / matresses and pillows where very good and I slept very well. The water pressure in the shower was also very nice and I liked that there was a cold fridge for my beverages in the room. The A/C and fans also worked very well. The housekeeping staff was very friendly. The pool was super to take a cooling dip in. Unfortunately the pool bar was closed, but it was low season. So we brought our own cans and plastic bottles. One evening there was a pool party where the guest brought there own glass bottles to the pool area and in the pool. Maybe security did not see it ? We booked a snorkeling trip at Henry at his "office" by the ocean. Henry is a real asset to this hotel. Henry was also very serviceminded and it was also because of him we decided to move from our Airbnb to the hotel. Henry can arrange everything you need. We where informed that breakfast would start at 7am, but they did not start to serve breakfast after 8am. The breakfast restaurant is apparently not a part of the hotel, but maybe their communication should be better. There is however several breakfast /lunch/dinner restaurants close by. Michelle (8/5): Beautiful no frill spot right on the water - This is a small quiet resort with a nice pool, small individual casitas and a gorgeous view of the water. Caye Caulker is a walkable island, and it is only a short 5-7 min walk from the water taxi. The restaurant and bar were open but as it was Lobster Fest this trip, we did not personally utilize either place. They were busy every morning while we were there. This spot is no frills, but rooms are clean, ac works good, water was hot. They are in front of the water, beautiful dock and lots of seating to eat your fry jacks from Erroyn's every morning.
