Echt prachtig, alles goed in orde. Zalig verblijf gehad.
- Meirav (8/5): - The property is beautiful however the room has no amenities and vary small
- Yvonne (8/5): - Rooms were a bit old, but great breakfast
- Paul (8/5): Budget stay on trail walk - Good value comfortable stop on fisherman’s trail - huge pool and new air con
Basic accommodation but clean and comfortable
- Zuzana (10/5): - The hotel has a very nice mootish style, the pool is nice too
- Lianne (4/5): - The write up specially mentions , resturant in the write up . This is true but the don't have the staff to run it. It was miss leading as i booked this hotel because it said it had a resturant.
- Dave (10/5): - Very comfortable room.
Good breakfast
Friendly helpful staff
- Thomas (10/5): - During this stay, I was mainly interested in peace and quiet and a certain seclusion. I got all of that here. I was pleasantly surprised by the Moorish style that runs from the entrance hall through to the rooms. Even if some things seem a lil bit outdated, all areas of the hotel where I stayed were safe and clean. At the breakfast buffet, I was delighted with the coffee machine, which was able to conjure up many specialties in the cup. For me it was the mochaccino :) Otherwise, the buffet had everything I expected: from sweet to savory, everything was there and always in sufficient quantities. The staff were attentive and extremely friendly at all times.
In the immediate vicinity, in Vale, there is a laundrystation and a mini mercado for most other errands. The Restaurant Vale there serves delicious and fresh interpretations of Portuguese cuisine.
This is my individual experience with this hotel. I also take into account the price and the season. However, it is in the nature of things that everyone has different priorities or requirements.
- Robin (8/5): - Clean, but a bit old
- Jose (10/5): - Rooms are big, the people in charge of the hotel are so friendly and have an excellent customer service.
- Moira (8/5): Relaxed - A comfortable relaxed hotel well located for walking on the west coast. Restaurants near by.
- Robyn (8/5): - The internet in the room was not very good. Had to open the door to have access to the internet. It was good in the lobby,
Breakfast was good
- Bente (10/5): Beautiful hotel with service minded staff - I had a great stay at Hotel Vale da Telha, near the Arrifana beach. I got a very nice and clean room, bigger than expected. The hotel is beautifully furnished in arabic style, with kind and service minded staff, great breakfast with delicious fresh fruits. Very clean everywhere. A little noisy sometimes as the walls are thin, but mostly a quiet and beautiful place to rest.
- Roberto (10/5): - Struttura molto confortevole, a 10 min da Arrifana
- Charlotta (6/5): Average stay - A very dated hotel in a fairly remote location - car is a necessity. Staff were kind and rooms are clean. Works well for one night in the area but wouldn’t stay again. Rooms and common areas are in need of an upgrade.
- Giacomo (10/5): - Struttura confortevole, stanza e bagno puliti e ampi, colazione ok, piscina ok
- Ulla (8/5): - Fine senge. God morgenmad. Rolig beliggenhed. Gode parkeringsforhold. Ingen elevator
- Cor (10/5): Heerlijk rustig - 2 jaar terug waren we hier ook. Niet voor niets gingen we weer terug. Lekker rustig, erg vriendelijk personeel.
- richard (10/5): Excellent - We are 5 guys on a cycling trip staying for one night. The reception was excellent and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel even had a secure lockup for our bikes
- Marie-Chantal (10/5): - Room now updated, good size
- habi (10/5): - Wonderful Staff
- Greg (10/5): - We ended up at this place on a whim as we stopped because we were tired from driving. It didn’t look to be much from the outside and we were one of two cars in the parking lot when we arrived but it turned out to be a great place for the night. It was priced very reasonably, provided a decent breakfast and the staff was outstanding. Also, to our surprise we had dinner at the only place open in the neighbourhood. It turned out to be fantastic and filled up with locals as the night went on. The room was clean and the bed was great. If you end up in this small town I would recommend this place to stay.
- boguslaw (10/5): lovely hotel - We stay only for one night , but it was absolutely amazing really frendly staf great breakfast simple but very tasty.
Our 8 friends group really enjoyed stay in lovely hotel , 100 % recomends
Parking facile.
- Claudia (8/5): - Alles gut.
- Robert (10/5): - Great location with beautiful vistas. Good dining options .All at a very reasonable price.
- Sylvie (10/5): - Tout
- Gintaras (6/5): Nice from outside and big pool - The pool was big, but not very clean.
The pool terrace seems old.
The roo. Was OK, but the smell was overwhelming. Really difficult to breathe.
Otherwise room was OK. However, I've had some bites in the morning, so probably they have mosquitoes around.
The breakfast was good. Enough options.
- A. P (8/5): Could be so much better - A clean and comfortable hotel but has too much emphasis on the North African theme which is evident everywhere. It does not have a bar and only an automated vending machine for cold drinks
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Find - Hotel was just what i needed for my road trip. Room was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was sufficient.
Had to leave key with front desk when i went out. When i came back it was a different person to whom i said 105 and he just gave me the key, making me wonder about security. But everything was ok.
- Charlene (8/5): - Breakfast buffet was not well stocked.
- christian (8/5): Schöner unerwarteter Aufenthalt - Gutes sauberes Zimmer in orientalischem Familienhotel.
Gerne wieder
- David (10/5): - Wonderful staff. Existent English. Thanks for help with COVID self test.
Breakfast is fine with good variants even after 7 days. Nice pool.
Would recommend.
- Stephen (8/5): A nice Hotel with a Moroccan twist - A really good local hotel, with a great Moroccan throughout which gives it some very nice features. A real need to have fly screens at the windows, we both got massively bitten in the night. Breakfast was not very well explained but the two staff were very attentive in other ways.
- Daisy (10/5): Great hotel - Clean and pleasant hotel, with a lovely pool and a great breakfast and friendly staff. It was my second time staying in this hotel and it never disappoints, I shall be back soon.
- Anders (8/5): Bra hotell. - Bra hotell, sköna sängar o rum med a/c. Mycket bra frukost.
- JOSE (8/5): Excellent rapport qualité/prix. - Bien situé, pas trop cher et confortable. Beau décor mauresque.
Très bon petit déjeuner.
Wifi parfois un peu absent
- Kimberly (10/5): Wonderful stay! - Beautiful Moroccan decor, friendly staff and a nice breakfast. The 12oclock checkout also made it a nice leisurely morning. With COVID, you have to reserve dinner in advance, which i was unaware of, but there are other yummy restaurants in the area. Definitely great value for the money
- David (10/5): Top - Super rapport qualite/prix, imbattable. Et en plus la déco de l'hôtel est sympa et on y est bien.
- Marie (8/5): - Une nuit sans problème , hôtel confortable !
- Verified traveler (4/5): - the room was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. but the hotel is a little dated, the walls are very thin so it can get quite noisy. the shower was spilling everywhere and the wifi connection in the room was very weak (we were at the end of the hallway). breakfast was generic, sadly not taking advantage of the beautiful regional produce. not an awful experience but wildly overpriced.
- Steen Skovlund (8/5): Good experience - Great effort done to make a bit dated hotel good!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic but decent enough - Quite a basic hotel but decent enough. Stayed there for one night during a road trip, which was perfect. For a longer stay, I would have required a little more comfort.
- Bianca (6/5): - Service was not exactly bad but strange. When we asked for a pool towel the receptionist looked at us and if that’s unheard of, we then waited 10 min as he walked back and forth to get one. Same happened when we asked for bottled water.
- Liliana (10/5): - We enjoyed the stay, the pool, the rooms and in special the breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good hotel - Very good hotel and breakfast incl large pool for the price.
- Valtony (10/5): - Friendly staff, Lovely rooms. Excellent buffet breakfast.
- Richard (10/5): Better than a two star! - Pleasantly surprised about this place. Perfect to explore Aljezur. Great swimming pool area. Staff friendly, breakfast adequate. Room was bigger than we expected, with a nice balcony. Couple of bars/restaurants very close. Very good wine at €2 a glass in the hotel, a good nightcap on the balcony!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Gerne wieder - Tolles orientalisches Hotel. Grosse saubere Zimmer. Tolles Frühstück mit frischem Obst und Rührei
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice hotel with only 26 rooms the hotel has a large pool and bathing area . Rooms are of a good size with balcony and bathroom with a bath.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great , very topical small hotel , with great rooms , breakfast and pool area .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Moroccan still!
Lady from kitchen stop looking what people eat and haw much!!!! We pay for breakfast !!!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly & Helpful staff, great location but may be a bit remote for some.
- James (10/5): Don’t miss this hotel! - All aspects of this hotel were great. The breakfast was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful, lobby and halls decorated with original artwork and furniture from Morocco. Very quiet and safe. It is out of town or on town’s edge so you need your own transportation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the friendly staff and the Moorish style. Great breakfast, comfy bed, good showers. Pool area attractive, great base to explore superb beaches in this area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice small hotel with a beach nearby (10-15 min drive)
The beach seems to be popular with surfers, but it has amazing views and is very nice.
Nice staff and breakfast. Only issue was that maybe the bed was a little worn, but I still had a nice sleep.
- Joyce (8/5): Comfortable and charming - Although the building and grounds are in need of some updating, the hotel itself is charming and very clean. Enjoyed the black and white photos and framed prints of local artists on the walls. Service was excellent from front desk to cleaning and kitchen staff. Breakfast very good. Location is between beautiful coast and historical town of Aljezur. It would be difficult to get around without a car.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel at Algarve west coast - Really nice hotel, not sure why it has only two stars? Breakfast could be improved by serving proper coffee (espresso), nice fresh fruit - the toasters rotating belt was not working for more than a week...
- Laura (8/5): Good stopover location - This was an unexpected surprise - I don't think that this hotel does justice to themselves on the website. It's a little dated, but nice and clean. Very easy check in process, and the room was big with comfortable beds and a good shower. There are a few options for dinner within walking distance if you don't want to eat at the hotel. Breakfast was very fresh with lots of choice. This is a great option for a stop over on the way to somewhere else, and I would recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel with nice people. Easy access and close to several nice spots.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely small hotel , with large swimming pool. Ideal for touring the area. Staff very friendly, rooms and grounds very clean and well kept. Bedrooms large in size, comfy beds, air conditioned. Small balcony with chairs, either facing east or west. Breakfast is mainly continental but has all you require.
Large pool with loungers and chairs, small children's pool. Often had pool to ourselves as the beaches with the surf are the attraction in the area. These beaches are about 5-10mins away by car. Would need a car to get around the area. It is a great little hotel for it's star rating , highly recommend .
- David (8/5): Close to Marina - Well kept facility but a little aged. Breakfast was a little underwhelming. Staff were all nice accommodating people.
- Brian (8/5): Comfortable base near some great surfing beaches. - The hotel is generally pleasant and good for the local area, but provincial and a little tired. The rooms are clean and tidy (with a/c), and public areas also, but the hotel facilities are limited otherwise. Nice pool. Altogether, a comfortable base to explore the area (which is spectacular and rugged). Staff were polite and hospitable, and helpful. Great as a B&B (and breakfast was more than ample),
Needs some fresh ideas from management: attention to little things like two glasses, not one, in double rooms; locks that open/close easily; cupboard doors that don't stick. And someone to remove the wrecked car in the car park..!!
- Nicholas (8/5): - Hotel was very pleasant with friendly helpful staff. Only negative was loud music from a neighbouring establishment made for some missed sleep on our two niights.
- jan (8/5): Moroccan retreat - Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, quiet setting's.
- pamela (10/5): awayday - Good time had by all. Good food and plenty of it.
Will stay again.
- mark (10/5): Convenient. - Plenty of car parking, easy to find. Good value.
- Stacy (10/5): Great value! - Excellent hotel for the money. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.
- sarah (8/5): The accommodation. - The not so good points: The room we were given had a disappointing view over a back lane and the sliding door to the small balcony was very difficult to open and closed and nearly impossible to lock. The water from the hot tap was yellow and the shower was such that it sprayed all over the floor. The television was tiny!
The positive: The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. The pool was very nice as well. The location was very good as it was a short walk to several restaurants. We recommend the barbecue place diagonal the roundabout and the pizzeria 2 km away. Monte Clerigo beach is a very short drive away. Overall I would recommend this place as none of the negative points mentioned detracted from what we were there to do .... Enjoy the great weather and beaches..
- David (10/5): Return visit - Excellent hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent continental breakfast. Quite quirky building and decor. Rooms spacious and colourful
- Mary (10/5): The staff go out of their way to be helpful - Whilst the hotel offers comfortable, clean facilities, it is the staff that truly make this an outstanding experience. Nothing is too much trouble and all help is made with a cheery smile. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to get away from the main tourist areas to enjoy a unique local experience. The wonderful sandy beaches are about 3 miles away, for which you will need the use of a car. The local town has two very good restaurants. There are three restaurants within walking distance of the hotel each offering a wide choice of menu. Plus the hotel offers a 3 course evening meal. A really relaxing holiday.
- MICHAEL (8/5): One of the few hotels in a sparsely populated area - The hotel has improved over the last 5 years - this was our third visit. It seems to have adopted a moorish theme for its decor and seemed smarter, more comfortable and friendly. The breakfast was good, but not special. We did not use many of the facilities - our main reason for staying was we had visited the beaches of Costa Vincentina and the excellent restaurant Taverna Gabriel II on a headland beyond Monte Clerigo.
