- billsI7389RQ (10/5): Nice hotel and staff in Lake Charles, LA - Had an overnight stay here on a road trip back from Calif. I have to say that this was one of the nicest Hampton Inn we stayed at on a 3 week road trip with the best Front Desk Staff. We didn’t have a reservation but Anthony welcomed us as Hilton Honors Members. He was so friendly, polite and helpful with recommending local restaurants. He is a great representative of the Hilton Chain. He was training a young lady who was also very nice. The room was large, very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a typical Hampton Inn breakfast. Even though this hotel is not located directly on I-10, it’s on the loop around Lake Charles, I’d stay here again when in the area.

One of those reasons is because the staff is exceptional especially Rodney and Zina! They are so sweet, welcoming, and go above and beyond for us! Another reason we stay at this particular location is because the breakfast is always great! There’s several options to choose from and always served fresh and warm! Can’t wait to book another stay here!

- livingandlearning9 (10/5): This Is How It’s Done, Hampton Inn - The first thing I noticed was the absence of odors. I have asthma triggered by chemical smells, dander, pollen, and cats — so this matters to me immediately. The welcome was warm, the staff polite, and the elevators worked without issue. The guest room itself was spotless. Linens appeared clean and fresh. The room included a microwave, fridge, and a valet bar in the closet — along with an iron and ironing board. That last touch should honestly be the norm at every Hampton Inn. I travel frequently, and it isn’t. I had one minor maintenance issue, reported it to the front desk, and a note was made. I’m confident it will be addressed before the next guest. I travel as a solo female. During my stay, a full bus of teenagers heading to a rodeo in Houston arrived — and there was plenty of breakfast for everyone. The kids were well-behaved, and I never felt crowded or uncomfortable. That’s not always the case when buses roll in. The remodel is excellent. Whoever oversaw it did a outstanding job — modern touches throughout, well-executed from top to bottom. Frankly, more Hampton Inns should visit this property and take notes, both on the renovation and on how to run a staff. Lake Charles has its challenges with staffing, but as a guest I never once felt that strain. Parking is tight, as you’d expect for a full hotel. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Would I recommend it for my kids and grandchildren? Without hesitation.

The shower appeared to not have been cleaned - there were pubic hairs in the shower. There was only coffee set up for one cup of coffee in the room. The shade in the room appeared to be disconnected. Water stain on the ceiling.

- millit92 (10/5): Great stay, no complaints! - I stayed for five nights and every night was great. The staff was consistently welcoming and accommodating. Anytime I needed something printed or had a request, they handled it quickly and kindly. Kaitlyn took care of me each day, and Rodney greeted me with a smile and jokes. They both made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. Even the breakfast staff in the mornings were friendly and pleasant. I truly appreciated the hospitality and would gladly stay here again.

BUT our mattress was Terrible!! The ONLY complaint I have is the bed! My nine year old daughter and I shared the queen size bed together. There was a huge dip in the middle of the mattress which had us sleeping on top of each other all night. VERY uncomfortable! Needless to say neither if us slept well and she had a big gymnastics competition that next morning. She still did great though!

There is access to most of the main entertainment apps on the television, though you will need to sign in with your personal login information. We enjoyed being able to waych YouTube, rather than whatever was available on cable. Simple breakfast was available in the morning, which was nice as we had limited time before the event we were in town for.

- 607ashantia (10/5): Fantastic Weekend - We stayed at Hampton Inn Lake Charles for my birthday weekend, Halloween. It was a lovely stay. The room smelled clean and fresh. I don't eat pork, so it was a pleasant surprise that they offered different breakfast sausages on different days. There was actually chicken sausage. The breakfast was fresh and hot everyday and waffles. You already know. The guy at the front desk, Rodney, was very friendly and welcoming and greeted us each time we left and came back. This was our second stay at this hotel. We will definitely be back again.

Biscuit and gravy would be a nice addition and upgrade in bagels and real juice. The first room I got on ground floor smelled really bad but the kind man behind desk put me in a better room, so all was good. The shower doors need to not look like a streaked film on them, that may make shower look a little more cleaner.

Every staff member we encountered was pleasant. The only downside was the shower head in the room but it got the job done anyways (ha). Can't say enough great things about this stay!

- Neoshee (7/5): Customer service makes you want to return to this location - Breakfast was good & staff member who helped my husband make his waffle! Nicole was at the front and provided great service... including helping me with my request for booking an extra night. The TV gave us a minor issue screen showed something about the change the "source" and it didn't work so we just went to sleep on the second night ..it was not a big deal and I would still book again!

- annetteaY931XR (10/5): A FANTASTIC STAY! - What a great hotel! Friendly staff 24/7. Very clean even going through renovations. From the minute we walked in until we left, the staff greeted us with a smile. Nicole and Allison, working the desk during the day had a smile and a hello whenever we made contact. Our housekeeper, Odalis, was top notch in taking care of room needs. Then there’s Rodney! That’s the man you want to see at the front desk 24/7, even though he’s on the 3-11 shift… his personality is contagious! Can’t say enough about this location other than God bless these hard workers who made our stay a memorable one.. we will be back!

- D9529BDcarlosr (10/5): Genuinely Caring Employees - You would be hard pressed to find a more personable and welcoming front desk person than Rodney; and Zina was so amazing and sweet to my son. She brought him breakfast before the allotted time without hesitation. Truly wonderful people that make you feel welcomed.
- Ronald (2/5): - The condition of the room was terrible - the furniture was ripped up and in very bad condition. They had advertised as “remodeled” but when we said something to the front desk they told us they hadn’t gotten to ours yet. We feel we should get part of our money refunded as we would have stayed elsewhere had we known the terrible condition of the room. The office chair that was important to us was a hazard to sit in and the stuffing was coming out as was the case of another piece of furniture there. We took photos of some of the furniture.

- 864stanf (10/5): Rodney at Hampton on Holly Hill, Lake Charles! - Fantastic stay at Hampton on Holly Hill! Rodney was friendly and called people by name when they walked through the lobby. He had phone numbers so I could order pizza and have it delivered. He even gave me plates and napkins when the delivery showed up. Absolutely wonderful over the top employee for Hilton/Hampton hotels! Thanks Rodney!
