Guest Reviews
- Brian (10/5): -
- mathew (10/5): - Love this place! This is r second time here. Super close to our favorite beaches and affordable for the area!
- Erin (8/5): Great lotion and hotel - The pics are not the same as in person of pool
- Pavy (5/5): - Its a motel, not a hotel. No reception or service after 6pm or before 9:30
- Bertha (10/5): - Very clean and staff is friendly
- Susannah (6/5): - Cute little place but very expensive for absolutely no amenities along with bizarre self check in services. Staff was not very friendly in person- felt almost like they were doing us a favor. Exterior decrepit- hard to get into/ out of parking area. Dimly lit exterior at night.
- John (10/5): Couple 2 night stay - Love this place! Night renovations and in a great location!
- yohann (7/5): - Chambre spacieuse et chic avec un petit jardinet. La piscine était top et l'accueil chaleureux. L'hôtel se trouve au bord de la route.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Second time staying here and it’s still an incredible experience. The accommodations are excellent, the pool is heated, and the atmosphere is quiet, clean, and kid-friendly. I recommend this hotel to all my friends and will definitely be back in a few months!
- Naz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cordeiro (1/5): ok for one night, but very expensive and not very practical. - The parking is very far away from the rooms. The booking process was difficult.
- Caroline (9/5): peaceful - the extremely high pet fee - $150 for one night, and the headache of having to drop my dog at someone's house for a few hours because he wasn't allowed to stay in the room alone...
- Stacy (8/5): Lovely staff beautiful room! - Beautiful property great location! A few bugs and spiders other than that perfection we will definitely be back!
- Matthew (7/5): Good -
- Amy (10/5): - We loved Hotel June while visiting Malibu. It was outside of town so not so hectic. We felt safe and the customer service was great but we really didn't need any help as everything was as expected or exceeded our expectations. We loved the small quiet pool area for relaxing and felt it was a great place and good value compared to more expensive properties in town.
- Benjamin (3/5): So little for such a high price is not acceptable - Comfortable bed. Simple but recent installation The roadside location makes the hotel noisy and not really interesting in relation to its location. Requires a car to do everything. No services on site, the rooms are minimalist and it is cold - some will find this great, I am not bothered by this except when I am asked $500 per night. The pool is very small and again the roadside location must not make the experience memorable. We do not know anything about it because it was closed. No breakfast and no staff after 11pm. Again, for $150 it is fine, for $500 it is unacceptable.
- Vanessa (10/5): - This Malibu property is a rare find—quiet, private, and perfect for families. While there is some noise from PCH, everything else exceeded expectations. Highly recommended!
- Heidi (8/5): - Cute property, very minimalist. Next to Pacific Coast hwy so a bit noisy.
- Lauren (9/5): Beautiful spot - Absolutely beautiful room Paying for parking at a motel like this was an unnecessary charge
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional - Great location Toilet was a little cramped
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay at June! - Would definitely stay again, staff is very friendly, rooms were comfortable and clean, and products were top notch. Very cute pool area to hang out and relax in. Really love the little extras this hotel offers like surf boards all the beach necessities like umbrellas, coolers, chairs. Only downside is that you have to drive everywhere in Malibu but that’s nothing to do with the hotel. Bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper as you’re right off the PCH. I slept great! All in all great place.
- Alexandra (9/5): Great stay discovering Malibu - Lots of good little touches in the room and available food and extras eg they were very happy to do some washing for a good price. Unlimited free water and lovely games available in reception. Great pool area. Comfortable bed for us and bunks for the kids. Big room. Perfect
- william (10/5): Mellow Malibu - Most mellow, off the beaten path (but close to all the goods, w/o the crowds) comfy spot in town. Second visit was better than the last...now that there's a pool!
- John (5/5): Passable - pool was dirty and not heated
- Jason (10/5): - Hotel June is our favorite place to stay while in Malibu! Great rooms, easy check in, and friendly staff!
- cindy (10/5): - Room is cute wirh patio
Great location
Nice pool
Friendly staff
- Lisa (8/5): Overall a very happy and the management team are very professional and very friendly. - The staff, pool and rooms Loud - our room was near the PCH, and we heard our guest talking loudly in the room next to us.
- Georgia (2/5): Not Chic and Cool. Cheaply done and cold. - The lobby was fine. As we were checking in we were informed that we had to pay to park. There was no parking lot since the recent storm so we had to park in front of our room 1/2 way on the sidewalk.
I thought the room was bad until I was FaceTiming a friend. She asked me if I was allowed to have a phone in jail. I told her I was in a hotel. She said it looks like a jail and I agree 100 percent. That was the perfect description. The dirty brass, filthy Venetian plaster, and the cement floors added to the jailhouse vibe. The road noise doesn’t help at all. The rooms are actually backed into the highway.
It looks like the designer was going for a chic and cool beach pad feel. Instead it is cheap and cold. There are no real amenities in the room but a mini bar I paid $16.50 for chips and a coke.
I wish we would have stayed over the hill in Calabasas.
- Hadar (7/5): Nice, clean but underwhelming. - The property was clean, and the staff was kind. The bed was very comfortable, and the location was great. The room was not suitable to have a young child staying overnight, the door unlocked from the inside automatically when the lever was pulled with no additional security and so we had to barricade the door with a bench at night to make sure our toddler didn’t potentially wander out. The photos online were misleading, I was under the impression there was some sort of complimentary food onsite other than coffee and tea. The pool and its surrounding space was also much smaller than presented online. The property did not feel like a hotel, more like an upgraded motel. It didn’t feel very luxurious, and the interiors were almost so minimal it was underwhelming. The bathrooms were clean, but for the price I was paying I expected something nicer. It was very small. Also, the additional fees upon arrival of $25 PER DAY for parking and $25 separate dollars PER DAY for internet/etc were insulting after paying so much to begin with. It added $150 to our bill, which btw their parking lot had flooded so I’m not even sure why we had to pay for parking…
- linda (4/5): - The customer service does not match the property.
- DANILO PIETRO (8/5): - Historic site.
- Rhea (4/5): - I would never ever stay here again. Outrageously expensive for what you get. The only place to hang clothes is on a PIPE coming down from the ceiling !! The $28 resort fee is laughable and so is the parking fee of $25
- Morgan (7/5): Simple - Simple, clean, expensive
- Gaddy (10/5): I loved the stay because it was near the beach. That environmental difference is a big change to a good experience over - environment next to the beach abd friendly staff expensive
- India (9/5): Superb -
- Junwei (10/5): - Good minimalism hotel with nice features.
- Olivia (10/5): - Hidden little gem on PCH! Simplistic, clean, and the perfect for a weekend getaway. Loved the heated pool during our winter stay. Location is great but still requires a quick drive to the local spots. Ubers can be tricky depending on your excursion, but the hotel staff was great at helping navigate.
- Sean (10/5): - Very nice hotel. Fantastic ambiance and really nice rear patio/pool area
- Lori (10/5): - This place is a super cute and quaint hotel. The remodel is really crisp and clean. It’s close to a lot in Malibu and everyone was super friendly.
The biggest issue is the road noise from the PCH. We slept, but cars are buzzing day and night. We paid a lot for 2 nights. I definitely think it should be in a lower price point.
Overall, it’s a precious little hotel and concept.
- Ronda (10/5): Loved our stay there! The staff was friendly, clean and nicely decorated rooms and great location! - Enjoyed the coffee each morning and rode complimentary bikes to the beach! Everything was great!
- Loren (10/5): - It was a stunning mid century bungalow in the perfect part of Malibu
- Michael (10/5): - I would have put parking, which was fine, but there were parallel parking spots to use and, maybe it's LA, but NO ONE could parallel park worth a darn. Easy to get in and out anyway, and the room was cute and comfortable and very convenient for our visit to Malibu.
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (4/5): Complete rip off for the price. - the fact you could text to get help from the front desk the room was extremely minimalist and cold. The bathroom had no storage for my facial products. For the extreme price the entire hotel room was very underwhelming. I regret paying that much for that level of hotel room. It was a cleaned up motel as far as comfort goes.
- Vickye (10/5): - It is a cute hotel. Very California/Austin vibe.
- Yvonne (10/5): - Staff so friendly, quiet and super
clean
- Mark (10/5): - Perfect spot near Zuma Beach. Hotel is clean, modern and has everything you need. Staff are beyond helpful. Made everything easy. We really enjoyed it
- Dania (9/5): relaxing stay, room had attention to detail - cozy and minimal vibe
