- Susan (2/5): We made the best of it, as it was just a one night stop in order to be closer to the airport. - The beds were fairly comfortable. There was a very musty smell to the room which did not go away even with the door and windows all open. The kitchenette did not have any dishes or cutlery. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee. The bathroom window handle was broken and the window had to be closed from the outside patio. The couch was too stained to sit on comfortably. The breakfast was disappointing. The only fruit available was some apples that had gone soft, and some bananas that were very brown.

- Kirmayer (7/5): my stay was comfortable. and the stuff treated me very well . hope to visit again - I liked the room and its location, the staff was very friendly and tried to help. The people at reception tried to help as far as possible. but there was no manager to talk to. what i didn't like is the important part: 1. no directions of the location and how to get to the hotel with public transportation. 2. the hot water in the bathroom had a problem and the guy trying to fix it didn't know how. i already described what i didn't like the main issue is a lack of management with authoritative power.
- Oscar (10/5): Volveremos a hospedarnos!!! - Excelente ubicación, tanto para ir de compras como para salir en transporte, el personal de recepción, limpieza y restaurante muy amable, la comida del restaurante rica y variable, el chef excelente servicio, muy buen ambiente para el desayuno!!! Las habitaciones bonitas 10/10 muy relajantes, cómodas y sin nada de ruidos a pesar de las obras, se descansa muy bien, el mini refrigerador, horno y estufa funcionando al 100% La alberca con su área para niños y para adultos muy bien No es que no nos haya gustado, pero seria bueno mejorar. Tarda un poco en salir agua caliente en la ducha por lo que se desperdicia. El agua de la alberca algo fría. si se puede meter y nadar muy bien, pero estaría mejor si estuviera un poco mas templada!!!

Considerando el desayuno pésimo se me hizo caro el hopedaje considerando que no tiene vista al mar. La comida, en julio del 2024 me había hospedado ahí y me encanto el desayuno y senti que le daba un plus al hotel esta vez era buffet y considero que en ese sentido se igualo a otros hoteles que ofrecen desayunos, pero con la intención de que no lo consumas. No sé qué tanto se reduzco el gasto pero este caro para ese desayuno. Ademas nos comentaron que a las 10 de la noche ya no debería haber ruido y como a las 12 habia unas personas con bocina en la piscina.

- Oscar (2/5): Cuando valla a los Cabos, ya se dónde NO ir . Gracias - La ubicación, la cama y el cambio de toallas ok. Pagamos un alojamiento con cocina (tipo apartamento) tenía heladera, Anafe. (No tenía ni un utensilio (ni para calentar agua) y cuando pedimos nos dieron 1 olla y dos cucharas, y para que nos dieran un cuchillo, debíamos dejar una identificación. En varias oportunidades no pudimos lavar y/o secar ropa, porque no tenían fichas para las máquinas. Nos cobraron unas fichas y no tenían cambio (lo fuimos descontando cuando lograban tener fichas… porque el cambio nunca lo tenían para devolver) El desayuno (Pésimo)

Cómodo, limpio y con un desayuno buenísimo - Un hotel limpio, cómodo, buena ubicación y su desayuno es muy bueno Ahorita están construyendo me imagino que un distribuidor vial y es un verdadero caos poder llegar al hotel. Tienen una vía para bicicletas, el hotel podría arreglar con el municipio el poder usarla para llegar al hote, ojo, uso exclusivo para los clientes. Son 150 mts que haces hasta media hora en recorrerlos por el tráfico tan pesado. Entiendo que no es parte del hotel pero deberían de poner un comunicado antes de reservar

J’aime les matelas ferme, mais là, j’ai eu l’impression de dormir par terre. Aucun équipement, même pas de simple mouchoir. Infestation de fourmis. Et déjeuner qui aurait pu être bon, mais qui aurait dû être chaud, ou au moins tiède, mais qui était déjà froid à 9h alors que nous avions jusqu’à 10h30 pour déjeuner.

- Daniel (8/5): Great place to stay close to everything - Great location, easy parking, great pool, awesome internet. Breakfast was great. The staff is very friendly and professional. Things to improve.. We had a suite with kitchen not a single utensil, pan, glassware, we were exhausted to ask for anything but makes no sense to have nothing. The breakfast coupon to be collected each morning at the reception makes no sense whatsoever, what a waste of our time. Just give them out at check in. Excellent for a place to sleep and rest after hitting the waves, would stay here again.

- Michael (8/5): A good value in a decent location. We would stay again - Very convenient: easy walk to supermarket and a few restaurants, and a reasinable walk to the beach. Room layout a bit strange and dated.
- Jonathan (10/5): - We stay here often for one night stays. We’re expats living in Mexico and our home is not close to town. We stay for shopping trips or prior to airport departures. The hotel is basic by international standards, however, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The self parking is great, many good walkable restaurants and stores. Downside is no elevators with three stories. Pool is nice, great little restaurant for included breakfast.

- Rebekah (7/5): Skip the balcony rooms - Decent price, nice pool, hot breakfast, nice multilingual staff, a/c in bedroom , convenient location next to supermarket and some restaurants. Beds are uncomfortable, don’t bother with the “balcony” rooms as they face a loud street. FYI: Difficult to find public beach access as the path is rerouted through construction sites and most beachfront is blocked by higher end resorts
- Cora (2/5): - We booked a room with kitchen and refrigerator. We were given room 508 which only had a mini fridge. We could hardly fit a few bottles of water. The space for the full size fridge was empty just vacant space. The kitchen had nothing! No plates no utensils no glasses. We had to beg for two plates two forks and and two cereal bowls and had to buy knives and a frying pan from Walmart. The towels were so dirty , again I had to go buy from Walmart. Big mistake to choose this place. The only one that ever smiled was the cleaning lady every one else hardly showed any interest or cared. The so called breakfast is awful except for the coffee. Same overcooked scrambled eggs served cold, a bowl of granola with 3-4 tablespoons in it. There is massive construction and noise and dust a few meters away from the pool. Never had such a bad experience and we come to Baja a lot.

- JOSE ROBERTO MEJIA (8/5): - In general terms the hotel is nice, fulfills needs and has a good location. Front desk are young and needs training to learn and understand how to treat, deal and offer solutions in a professional and respectful way with costumers. Cleaning ladies made the difference. Always helpful and doing her job great. Restaurant offers a good quality and abundant breakfast. Every dish was tasty and well executed. Rooms could be better if furnitures are renewed soon. The hinge of our window was broken so we didn’t tried to open it a second time. Flat screen has good size and it’s a recent model. Good conectivity.
- Ana (8/5): Inexpensive stay - I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Great king mattress, great air conditioner (quiet), plus a kitchenette. This hotel is where the hotel zone begins and across the street from a huge grocery store that includes a food court.
- Candice (8/5): Enjoyed our stay at Santa Maria 🏨 🛏 56 - The staff are very cheerful and friendly, including Ross and all the housekeeping team. They are very professional, responsive to any issues, and keep your room clean and tidy. The pool was well maintained. The bed was comfortable and we had a kitchenette with two burners, microwave and fridge. We were within easy walking access to several restaurants and a large supermarket that has an excellent bakery. Our room faced a golf course, providing some early morning entertainment. Attractions like Santa Maria Beach are a short drive away. Casual atmosphere. Walking around in the area feels very safe. Kid friendly and there is a playground nearby. Highway 1 is nearby, so it can be a bit noisy, although I found it to be tolerable. Resorts take up most of the coastline, so walking to the beach probably takes about 15 minutes. We were happy to have a car to get around.
- Sadie (8/5): Very good - The room was great. The kitchenette, small dining area and balcony w/chairs were an added surprise. The room was ample and clean. We were close to La Comer which was great for shopping. The only difficulty is the traffic when leaving the parking lot. The heavy traffic area. Priority for lower floors should be given to older adults.
- G5423YNlauras (2/5): Terrible Customer Service! - This hotel was possible the worst customer service I have seen. First, housekeeping only showed up 3/9 days we were there. When they did come, it was at 5pm. The hotel staff was abrupt and borderline rude. The beds were saggy and uncomfortable. The pool was closed and we were not informed until we checked in. No compensation was offered and we had to spend $200 to use another hotel’s facilities. The pool finally opened the day we were leaving so we were not able to use it. The laundry facilities were unavailable most of the time. Overall these little things could have been addressed but there was no communication and we felt the need to spend more money for things the hotel should have offered.

- Valeria (6/5): Pleasant - Breakfast was great. Comfortable beds. Good location. We stayed for 2 weeks. we work remotely and the wifi is not good. It goes up and down. It was a problem. After one week I asked the receptionist to please have our sheets changed but they didn't. By the end of our stay they were very dirty and never changed. Our bathroom sink was plugged, I asked the receptionist and she said she would send someone to fix it. Never happened. Our first language is Spanish, so it wasn't a problem of miscommunication. Room for 2 has a table with only one chair, a coffee machine but not even a spoon. This hotel is good for 1 or 2 nights but for 2 weeks is not great.
- Mardi (8/5): I would stay here again but choose a different room that did not face the road. - Very clean, staff was friendly and accommodating. The pool was amazing. It was a short walk tot he beach and the grocery store is right across the street. The garden view is really a street view and very noisy. The breakfast didn't have fruit on some days which was disappointing.
- Jenna (10/5): - We really enjoyed the breakfast included with the room. It had nice traditional Mexican options as well as pancakes etc. We were a bit dissatisfied that there was nothing in the kitchenette to cook or eat with. Seemed pointless to have paid extra for the kitchenette if we could not even use it but there were many dining options nearby. The pool was also being redone when we were there and we weren't made aware of this at the time of booking and was one main reason for us booking there but I think that's not the fault of the hotel to tell us as we had booked through Expedia. Plus side is that they will now have a beautiful new pool. So if travelling soon call ahead to make sure it's completed if you want a pool. We would definitely stay here again. We chose this location/hotel for the secure parking and easy to find from the airport after dark. Staying downtown the parking can be more challenging and the streets a bit more confusing after dark.

The hotel manager Emilio is very helpful too. If we need help, he's happy to help us solve the problem. I enjoyed my stay here.

- yogithom (10/5): Cabo is gross, but if I have to stay there this is absolutely the place - I loathe Cabo and had to stay in it only out of logistical necessity. That said, of all the hotels I've used in Baja that weren't of the totally unique in a tiny town middle of nowhere variety this was, by very very far, the nicest one. Even the breakfast was very good. 50 times better value than the same-priced hotel we stayed at in Cabo San Lucas on the way in.

Beach is about 10 minutes walk. You cannot swim in the largest beaches in San Jose del Cabo, but it is great to walk there. I would stay again in this hotel.
