AdrianaT1295 (2/5): Rude staff and dirty old hotel - The rude receptionist (male) hung up on me when I asked him to correct a mistake on my bill. When I called back and asked why he hung up, he defiantly said, because the conversation was over. This is the WORST experience I have ever had with a receptionist at any hotel. In addition, the hotel is very old and dirty. Do NOT stay here.

Our hotel room furniture ( couch had corner bitten off, side of the desk was bitten off. bathroom tile was loose and under the bed we noticed paper scraps and a bitten apple. The pool was dirty. The elevator had urine maybe from a pet. I could not believe my eyes and I regret the hotel we checked into.

However, we found the AC in our room was either way too cold at 65-68 or kind of humid and stuffy from 70-74…couldn’t find and happy medium. Our toilet would only flush every other use and the morning of check out found a dead roach the desk. Really wanted to like this place, but we most likely will not be coming back.
Veronica (10/5): Comfortable stay - Our family trip was pretty smooth staying there was great . The best beds I’ve slept on in a long time !!!! Breakfast was ahhh ok I guess. The pool was nice my kids loved it . Plenty of restaurants near by and close to the beach . I would definitely book this place again
P1982SIbiancas (8/5): Great Staff, Comfy Beds, Yummy Breakfast - We stay here a lot. Morgan at the front desk was exceptionally helpful in showing me how to use the Marriot Bonvoy app which allows you to check in & issues you keyless entry on the app! This hotel is best priced spot in the area with comfy beds & breakfast included near the island. They also offer a Military rate! The rooms each have full kitchens and comfy beds. This time we stayed in room 223 which had 2 queen beds. The main bed was super comfortable but the second bed, not so much. It make a weird nose when ever we sat on it. It felt foamy, similar to an air mattress. we all slept on the same bed. I'm not quite sure what that was all about. Also, the light our bathroom was wired to trigger on the LOUD air vent. This made it hard to be discreet in the night or forced us to go pee in the dark. It also didn't help my headache. I couldn't do my make up in the restroom without the noise blaring in the background...ouch. Other than that, breakfast is yummy & the staff is quick to replenish any food, drinks or condiments that run out. They have a lot of options to choose from: cereal, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, milk, juice, non dairy milk, coffee, eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit & waffles. The maker is a hit but the line can get lengthy, especially when people are making more than one. The hotel should invest in a couple more waffle stations. We will still most definitely will return. I will just request not to be put in room 223.

Verified traveler (2/5): Gross room! - Gross hotel room- never again. Barely cleaned and we found dishes with old food, women's hair balls every where, old moldy food besides the bed, stained sheets and just much more. Room service only available if you stay 3 nights. At least the staff was friendly enough.

The lamp in our room was rusted, the air conditioning unit had a portion of the vent cover hanging off, the phone did not work, the internet was spotty and the room smelled like an old cigarette. It is not up to the standard you would expect of a Marriott property. Staff were pleasant and professional.

Rosalie Leleo (8/5): quick trip to the beach - I took my 5 grand girls to the beach about 3 weeks ago. We had fun but even after applying sun block 3 were a little too sunburned to spend another day at the beach so we just played games, shopped and swam in the indoor pool. I specificly choose a hotel with a indoor pool should they get too much sun so that was good and they loved it. I wanted to go back because I didn't get enough beach time so I chose to stay Townplace with my girlfriend and her dog and 1 gandgirl. The front desk were very nice and helpful. We were pleased that the fee for the pet was less then stated on the web page. Our room was on the 4th floor and the reservation was for 4 but just 3 went. We had to ask housekeeping (they were working on our floor)for another set of towels and bedding for the pull out couch, which they were very polite and helpful. The pull out couch had a small dime size hole in the corner off a cushion so I let housekeeping know and I also let the front desk know about it so they wouldn't think we did it. Everyone was nice. The pull out bed mattress old, stained and worn out. I'm sure it was the original mattress. The room was well stocked but did not have a blow dryer. The breakfast had many choices and was yummy. The outdoor pool was closed and needed a good cleaning which was ok since we basically went to the beach, altho my grandgirl wanted to try the pool but we played yatzee instead. Overall it was a good stay and Yes we will go again. I like that checkout is 12.

Victor (2/5): - Stayed for one week, requested room cleaning and did not get cleaned, floors and carpets never swapped or mopped, requested towels, they had a waiting list i was number 7 lol to get cleaned towels. Back door never looked, homeless would come in and out like the own the place, not secure. Guy that made breakfast nasty hands and nails, serving food like that disgusting. Smoking no gloves come rigth back to serve the food. Rude cleaning staff. I was charged $75 twice when i was staying there,then charge again yesterday. They sed they were going to fix it and never did.

The other thing that bothered me was: I made reservations several weeks before for a large group. Yet only when we showed up at the hotel were rooms picked out for us. I would have liked to have rooms next to each other.
Tiffany (2/5): - We went to for a family vacation to the beach, after driving 5 hours & getting to the motel we were told we would not be able to check into our room for another hour. I was extremely upset & we were so tired. After waiting an hour I went & asked & was informed our room still wasn’t ready & we would have to wait longer. I do not feel like I should have had to wait 4 hours after check in to be able to get into my room.
Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel near everything - The location is perfect. It is near shops and restaurants but just outside all of the heavy traffic. The mini kitchen is great. They even had appreciation pizza for the guests.
Rachel (8/5): - We had a room with a King bed and pull out couch, the room was smaller than I expected so not much space with the couch as a bed. Also they don’t supply pillows for the pull out and only had 4 standard size pillows on the king bed. We wouldn’t have had enough pillows if we hadn’t brought our own, and I expect king size pillows on a king size bed. My fault for not paying attention, but this hotel does allow pets and the room next to us had a dog that barked a lot. When I asked to change rooms shortly after our arrival I was told they were sold out, which was odd since she asked me if 2nd floor was OK, so I can only assume there was an open room on another floor. The rest of the staff was very nice, & the pizza party every afternoon was a nice treat for guests. Overall a pleasant stay.

JoCara (10/5): - Townplace Suites is always in my top 5 of hotel choices wherever I travel. This location was ideal for us. Everything was within 5 miles and the beach (JB Luby) was less than 20 minutes away. This hotel is showing its age but the staff was friendily and it was clean, so I have no complaints.
Adrianna (6/5): - Hotel was old and in need of remodel and upkeep. Lobby had a bad smell that reaembles urine. Breakfast was poor and not refilled efficiently. The room was dirty. Old chips under the bed and thw sheets looked dirty.

Serena (2/5): - This was a terrible experience. I DEFINITELY expect more comng from the Marriott brand. This was the only hotel that accomodated all I needed for my trip at good price so I booked it. Unfortunately, my showerhead did not work properly, having to wash my hair in the sink. There were tears in the loveseat cushion located in my room. The garbage in the breakfast area was always full. The property was never secured. Each time arriving to the property, i found a side door or back entrance held open or the door did not properly close without being slammed. There was nothing but pork offered as a meat. The Raisin Bran was old. And to top it off, the pool never opened. Each day i asked about the pool, I was tildn we will open it later today. My ENTIRE first full day was completey ruined. Terrible experience.

Ryan (2/5): - I’m completely upset with what happened to me at this hotel to say the least. If there was a choice of a 0 that would be my rating. I booked with Expedia to this hotel a month ago. I completely paid for both of the nights. I couldn’t show up the first night because my aunt is in the hospital and I had to rebook my flight and I didn’t have the chance to call and let Towneplace and suites know I wouldn’t be coming the first night. Honestly knowing I paid in advance and not being able to get anything back for the first night was completely fine. But when I showed up to check in the next day to be able to stay for my other night - again that was fully paid for - the receptionist said because I didn’t call the night before and check in that I wasn’t able to stay there at all. Only because I didn’t check in the night before?! Unbelievable! It shouldn’t matter if or when I call in at all. If I fully paid for two nights and show up to stay the second night. That’s still my hotel room! In the hotel’s defense they said it all falls on Expedia because that’s their policy. Even though they want to throw the blame on Expedia they still could have helped me in some way. I’m completely appalled and will never have anything to do with Towneplace suites and Marriot ever again! I feel like I got robbed! This was unacceptable in every way! The complaint doesn’t stop here. Everyone will know about this before they choose to stay at any Towneplace suites and Marriot that’s affiliated with them.
Amanda (10/5): - Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Hotel was clean and breakfast was good. Room was clean and nice and the temperature cool. Bed comfort was average. Kitchen placement was not ideal but it worked. It was right by the door and while my husband was in and out I had to keep moving while cooking. You couldn’t stand in front of the stove without getting hit by the door if it opened. Also I’m right handed and it was right against the wall so it was a bit annoying but I will not lower points for this since everything worked and was clean.

Douglas (8/5): - Overall, a really good place to stay. The rooms are a good size and there are some walkable restaurants in the area that include Saltgrass. The only negative would be that breakfast in the morning. The shredded cheese had mold and the options weren't very appetizing. Other than that, I can't complain. There is a small charge for parking nightly, which is a little inconvenient, considering the area. I would stay more often but I typically travel with a pet and the pet fees are outrageous upfront, nightly isn't bad. I was not able to check out the gym. The hallways were really warm and muggy but the room was okay.
65lisamarie (2/5): Avoid - Avoid this property. We attempted to stay here for a four night stay but checked out after the first night. Issues were that the entire building AC was out and made the lobby unbearably hot. We were advised that the AC units in the rooms were operational. And yes, the unit did produce cool air but it also leaked water and we woke in the middle of the night to a wet carpet. The hotel did not have hot water and the toilet would not flush properly. I have no idea how this hotel can keep their Marriott property status. Extremely disappointing and not how a Lifetime Titanium Bonvoy member or any traveler should need to deal with while traveling.

Hilda (2/5): - First of all, the place was hot upon walking in, they did not even ask for I.D. neither. The room had dirty doors, filthy shower curtain. The mattress was so uncomfortable. It felt cheap. You could feel the springs as you laid on them. The pillows were so uncomfortable. They had no shape. They would wobble and your head and face would sink strsight into it. The temperature in the room felt cool but humid. They also had no parking. We had to park way in the back and walk around the building to get to the front. Also, the water in the swimming pool looked yellow and dirty. The whole place had a dirty & musty smell; needless to say. We got no sleep that night. The whole stay was just awful. I would not be wasting $129 for this type of service again. It was definitely NOT worth the price.

Ronald (8/5): - Nice hotel, safe area and good price. They did have some trouble with trying to keep the breakfast food supplied for the hotel guests. At times, they only had scrambled eggs with no meat options to choose from.

Joan B. (4/5): - Our bathroom had mold, The bathroom door had been broke and just tapped. The tub had no plug. You couldnt get more towels. They didnt have blankets or sheets for the pull out couch bed. The pull out couch bed was hard as a rock and spring were felt.
Araceli (8/5): - The place is good, but they left a used condom in the room's trash can. There are families like me who have children and the truth is that leaves a lot to be desired. I don't know if it's because they don't clean or don't check those things, but that's unacceptable.

Tracy Sue (10/5): Love the staff!!! - We love this TownePlace in Corpus. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are always clean. I will make a recommendation to the owners, let the AGM order the breakfast items. We always love your breakfast but this visit there was no bacon, no sausage, no scrambled eggs, no weekend waffles, no bottled milk and no yogurt because the order wasn't placed by corporate. We were there for 5 nights too.

Staples191919 (2/5): Extremely disappointing for a Marriott product - Don’t expect a lo. They say you have things to borrow and they don’t. They say they have a barbecue, they have one, but it doesn’t work and there’s no propane. They say they have gluten-free products in the breakfast area, they don’t. Very poorly managed. Asked for a rate reduction due to all the problems and we were told you already had the reduced rate. Not what you want to hear when the stay was as bad as it was.

Rafael (4/5): Poor Cleanliness - There was food left over in the fridge along with half empty water bottles from the previous guest. Our dogs were chasing a roach on the carpet of our room. And the sheets looked washed, but had what looked like old dirt stains.

Sarah (6/5): - The service was wonderful, every employee I talked to was professional. The only problem I had was the hard bed. I’ve always heard of people complaining of back or hip pain because of a hard bed but never experienced it for myself until I stayed there.
