- Gurnoor (3/5): Poor amenities, bad odour - The location was decent and the staff were pretty helpful and nice. The price was low too. The hallway and room had a bad, musty odour. The room walls had scratches and random missed paint spots. There wasn't a fridge or microwave in the room. It was barely clean enough but overall, it wasn't a good experience.

- Hewes (4/5): Excellent room, not so much for the rest. - The room itself was clean; all lights worked, and the TV was fine (remote buttons were not fully functional), but overall, the room was fine. The hallways were not cleaned, and had a bit of a dirty smell. The elevator also looked rundown. There were some people hanging out in the parking lot (not sure if they were guests), but they seemed to be just loitering. So, I think next time I visit Portsmouth, I'll stay elsewhere.

- Lisa (2/5): I paid $189 for one night, and this was the worst place I've ever stayed. - Nothing The bathroom was filthy, and the room had not a single convenience like a dresser, closet, bathroom countertop, or even a lid on the toilet.

The toilet made guggling noises for 15 to 30 min after being flushed. It was quite loud which was not good in the middle of the night.

- Patrick (1/5): Horrible - My original room had a broken air conditioner , several of the days I stayed were 90 degrees plus , I called and talked to one front desk attendant about this and was told to come from work and talk about it , half of my time I had no air conditioning . My second room had no refrigerator and on my last day I wanted to grab ice since I didn’t have a refrigerator , the front desk attendant said they would be getting an ice machine next week , there were dogs barking past midnight and it was dirtier than I expected Everything about this stay could have been better , I would like the number to corporate so I can explain my stay

The ice machine in the building was not working there was poop markings in the toilet and the best part was when I was checking in and the ambulance showed up for a believed overdose on the thrid floor with no elevator. NO WORKING POOL!!

- Brenda (9/5): Worth the money - The women who worked at the front desk while checking is was so sweet and friendly. It was a small simple clean room. The location was perfect. Check out was 11am and easy. Worth the money. The elevators need to be fixed. You press the button but it does not light up or make any noise. So have no clue if it was coming or not. We just kept taking the stairs.

Room very small compared to picture. Shower head was not in the greatest condition. Smoke detector hanging from the ceiling. Definitely will not be going back.

- Cunningham (3/5): Will not stay at this location ever again unless I preview the Motel first - Location and parking area had lighting. I did not stay the night at all because the room had cob webs, air conditioning mechanical panel was coming off wall, bathrshower had a small dirty water puddle, found a bug in the room, the entire motel and my room smelled like Marijuana. The exterior side door remained unlocked after 9pm which didn't feel safe as anyone coming from packing lot could enter Motel. Still waiting on llrwfund from 10/4/2025 (27 days now)

- Gabriela (5/5): Good enough for a few hours, wouldn’t stay again though. - It kept a roof over my head for the few hours I was there. The sheets were clean. The towels seemed clean. The heater worked. The restroom had a strong smoke odor. The floors were so dirty my white socks were black on the bottom. The hallway smelled like marijuana. There weren’t any usb outlets.

The room was in poor shape ants on the floor none of the doors to the building were locked anyone could’ve walked in didn’t even stay the last night had enough won’t stay again.

We get up to our room and get settled for the night to then receive a call from the front desk in broken english asking if we had got checked in ok, when she was the one who checked us on. 5 minutes later there was knocking on our door as we were trying to sleep, the front desk had given a new couple our room number and key cards to it after she checked us in. The young couple went back to the lobby after they realized the front desk over booked the room. 5 minutes after this we receive yet another phone call from the front desk in broke english asking who we were and what room we were in. This was hands down the most unprofessional and worst service we have ever seen, and yes we did not expect much from a motel 6 but this somehow was worse than what our expectations were.

I didn't feel super safe, either... found some transient tents on neighboring property, alot of trash/ on the side grounds. The mattress sunk in the center and the bed linens appeared very old, worn, outdated. All of the above...

- Tornick (5/5): I PROBABLY WOULDN'T STAY AGAIN UNLESS THERE'S NOWHERE ELSE TO GO - There was plenty of parking space. The room was initially clean when we checked in. They did have an ice machine but you had to go down to the first floor by the desk to use it. Housekeeping was less than stellar. Of the three days that we were there thay only came the first two and only did the bare minimum when they did. The trash cans were emptied and a towel was replaced but the used ones and washcloths weren't removed. The sink area wasn't cleaned either. I'm not sure if they're required to make up the beds ( I'm not saying changing the sheets, just making the bed), but they didn't. They had the barest of amenities as far as snack or beverage machines goes. One each on the main floor.

- Rhoda (8/5): - This hotel is very conveniently located to the Interstate and has plenty of shopping and eating options right across the road. It is a pet friendly hotel, which is great for people traveling with their fur babies, however when you step in the lobby area and elevator there is a very strong pet odor. Our room was clean enough and did not smell.

The facet in the bathroom sprayed everywhere soaking not only the counter but also the floor. The outside side door near our room doesn’t latch. The woman that checked us in was very rude and short. Would not recommend.

This place is surrounded by trash and vagrants. There is no safe, specified place to walk dogs. Do not stay here. We eventually left, despite having traveled 9 hours. I would rather drive 5 hours more than stay here.

The thermostat on the wall was disgustingly filthy towels were more like paper towels, really cheap and expensive thin no paper or pen. TV was very small. Very limited for channels old motel needs to have an update needed it in a pinch took it but never would do it again thank you for accepting my comments.

Had to call security and I was told to “ calm down” upon answering my call and I was completely calm as other guests were yelling and screaming in room next to us. Stayed in a pet friendly room that smelled like a wet dog. Have stayed in many hotel 6 motels AND will never stay in this one again. Zero concern for guests safety

- Kate (4/5): - We booked this hotel many months ago for the Thunder Over New Hampshire airshow. I booked 2 rooms. One room smelled of cigarette smoke really badly, and the hallways also had a reminder of a nursing home smell. The other room only had sheets on the beds with no blankets. I believe there are a lot of extended stay guests that call Motel 6 home, based off of what I saw when other motel guest were entering their rooms. They looked like they lived there and were often seen smoking outside (thankfully) but the odor just traveled with them inside. I would not recommend this hotel and suggest staying somewhere else. It didn’t help that the weather was terrible for the airshow and everything got soaked. I did enjoy a hot shower after the storm, lol. The staff was friendly at checkin.

- BJ (3/5): I would never recommend this property. - We will never use a Hotel 6 again. I know it was only $99, so I didn’t expect the moon and the stars, but it was sterile and prison like. Sterile and creepy. The other guests appeared to be very transient. I could not wait to leave. Had a really bad vibe.

- Paul (4/5): - First off, the staff all deserve awards for working as quickly and efficiently as they did in that environment. Workers bear the brunt of bad owner and management decisions, often without even the small recourse of complaining that customers have, and these guys were putting up with a lot. The hotel was clean but stuff was worn down. The ballast in the light above the reception counter had a loud awful hum. The flooring in my room's bathroom was lifting. There were holes about the size of a hammer head in the wall of the room, some of the built in furniture was damaged. One the plus side, things were clean as mentioned, the beds were well made and comfortable. The environmental controls worked well. We couldn't hear too much noise from the ajoining rooms. Overall it had the vibe of a hotel with hard working staff suffering under an owner taking plays out of the slum lord playbook, the kind who justifies holding off on repairs because "They'll just break it again anyways." Also, human trafficking seemed to be an issue there, or at least, someone was very concerned that it might be.
