Guest Reviews
- Tyrone (1/5): There are too many bad things to put all in one paragraph but everything is wrong with the rooms - Location location location Everything Everything Everything
- keith (1/5): Less than zero stars - The owner is a liar.i called in plenty of time to just switch my day of stay.gave me the run around told me to contact booking.com which i did .he told them to call him back in 15 minutes same nonsense he never picked up phone.Same thing he pulled with me.now i have to dispute the charge to my credit card.he will be reported to the BBB.i have never done that to anyone in my life.Do not stay here !
- Owen (5/5): -
- Brian (5/5): - The property is an old school motor lodge which allows the guest to park outside the room door. This is handy for motorcyclists or guests with lots of heavy bags. We did not like the price hike for the room which coincided with the local university graduation.
- Tracy (8/5): Great stay - Peter at the front desk is one of the kind people I’ve met. He saw I was tired and worried about some life stressors. He was comforting and gracious. Room was clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed.
- Tracy (8/5): -
- Jimmy (8/5): Excellent location, price, Easy to get too - Price, location, accessibility , cold air, cold fridge Noise of traffic ants in the bed, short shower, low water pressure , cigarette pot in front of room had fog shit in it and smelled like dog shit soon as we opened car door
- Julie (6/5): - Good location Nothing
- Scott (8/5): - Check in was smooth. Room was clean and comfortable. N/A
- David (7/5): Meh - Room was generally clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing. Refrigerator had prior occupants food in it and needed defrosting. Toilet seat was loose and showerhead leaked.

- David (7/5): For the price and comfort for a short overnight stay I was pleased. - Comfortable bed and clean room. I can’t argue the price for the comfortable bed and clean room which was the most important. My only complaint would be the very low water pressure.

- Den (9/5): Revisit the '70s and stay in a Motel. - Beautiful and nostalgic Motel located just 1 mile from downtown Harisonburg VA. I ride my motorcycle all over the eastern half of our country and always prefer staying at a motel rather than a hotel.
I'm a firm believer in the idea that our elders designed a much more functional society than modern developers. IOW they valued function over the sole purpose of profit. Motels are far more functional than hotels for travelers. I was completely satisfied with my stay.
- Julie (7/5): Good value but Disappointing - The location was close to the things we wanted to do. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The value was good. Although it was clean and the value was good. There were several things that could have been better. The flooring was peeling in many spots in the room, the floor was soft to step on in several spots. The tempnofvthe water on the shower was fantastic however the water pressure was horrible, the shower head was extremely loose and would not stay in position so had to basically stand against the wall at that end of the shower to be in the water. One of the reasons I picked this hotel was because of the breakfast they I listed that was included and the pool they had listed as parts of their amenities only to find out these were not available, they'll had listed make your own waffles, was not there and they're was no pool at all. These were clearly posted on their website and should be removed altogether bc they simply are not there. This is false advertising and bc of this I would probably not choose this location again in the future.

- Wendy (7/5): It was clean, convenient and comfortable! - Easy and convenient! Loud - traffic and people all hours of the night and morning.
- Carol (4/5): -
- David (8/5): I’d stay here again - Room was not fancy but was clean and the bed very comfortable. Hard to figure out the tv
- Lisa (1/5): Disgusting - Nothing The crack heads next door using as a permanent residence. Poop on the bathroom walls
- Matt (10/5): -
- Chastin (10/5): - was a great stay
- JOAN (8/5): -
- James (5/5): -
- Gerald (4/5): -
- Patricia (4/5): I wouldn't stay there again - The room was clean and the bed was comfortable The room had a very strong odor of cat urine
- Guest (4/5): -
- Olivia (2/5): - Clean and decently comfortable, although staff was ignoring an active domestic abuse situation next door. Staff was rude and demanded me to leave even before 11am, expecting that I would not have the money for the next day. This should never happen. They even called my friend and told her "if you want to renew, you should do so prior to 11!." They tried to lecture her about paying ahead of time. The lack of professionalism and human decency was shocking.

- Edwin (1/5): - First we asked for a non smoking but we’re given a smoking room. It reeked of smoke & alcohol. The tv would non stop glitch. The bathroom door did not close correctly. The bathroom floor also kept sinking in. After using a whole can fabreeze our clothes still reeked of the smoke smell. The safety lock on the door was removed. The A/C unit only works as on & off. It has an option to set at a certain temp but will continue to run. The bottom shower would keep running even though the top shower head was on. The bedding was stained as well.
- Molina (10/5): Great place great costumer service - Receptionist excellent costumer service All good

- DAVID (4/5): Hojo was a disappointing hotel - Breakfast was poor ..

Mini muffins
And toastable items is NOT breakfast Persistent odor of pot surrounding entire bldg
Homeless ppl residing in hotel
No room service
Generally rude guests inconsiderate if anyone else
- Devona (2/5): -
- Linda (7/5): - The odor fabulosous! This smell it’s to strong full of chemicals 😔
- Olga (9/5): -
- Roger (8/5): Far better than expected - Price was remarkably affordable. The room was quiet. A prior visit, there was some noise, but that subsided due to the location, and a dog barking two rooms away, but that subsided after a while for my prior visit. This visit was far beyond expectations. Quiet. Accessible to parking and unloading to the room. The staff person on duty was clear and very understandable on check-in on November 18 in the afternoon. I commend her. There was no carpet in the room, and that is actually better. No issues this visit.
- Robert (8/5): Cheap and convenient. - Twas cheap and convenient. A cheaper hotel like this can come with its character patrons, but all is well and everything felt safe at all times. My friend and I stood outside until late evening and received nothing but smiles from any of the humans re encountered. Honestly, I can't think of anything that I didn't like. My expectations were met.

- Barbara (8/5): Clean room, good place, great price. - Location ok. Did not eat it. What was served was ok. I did not see any butter, jelly, or jam to put on the toast or bagels that was offered. Who wants to eat plain toast or bagel??
- Jason (2/5): -
- Ruth (9/5): - Breakfast was ok, location was good. Place was clean Need some bacon, eggs, and potatoes
- Hunter (4/5): Low price, low quality. You get exactly what you pay for - The location Bed sheets had big yellow stain, room smelled like cigarettes in a non smoking room. Bath tub was about to cave in due to big crack in it.
- Allison (7/5): -
- Murphy (5/5): - Location was great, breakfast was okay I reserved a non smoking room. But it smelled strongly of smoke. If it hadn’t been so late when I arrived I would have requested a different room because of the smell
- Maup (8/5): Erg goed -
- Marvin (10/5): We were very satisfied with our stay. - We did not have the breakfast due to time constraints in our schedule.
We were very pleased with the accommodations, location and price as well as the staff interactions.
We will explore staying here on other occasions. N/A

- Orlando (7/5): - Location was good. Breakfast and price were good Ww were five. 3 adults and 2 children. Brds were too small and staff did not offer a better option. We initially got the key of doneone elses room. Do security is not guaranteed. We open the room . And realized it was not ours
- Kristina (10/5): Good experience would come again!! - Fast friendly efficient The shower was really the only bad thing.
- Tracy (7/5): A little disappointed this time - Location
Bed comfortable
Good breakfast
Large room I’ve read reviews that complained about cleanliness, and I was always confused. My room was always spotless -until this time. I want to ensure that I frame this appropriately. Overall, the room was again clean, but there was some kind of spill (that looked like throw up) on the side of the toilet. There were also some hairs in the shower curtain. That was off putting.
The sink was scratched but I actually find that to be a charming vintage feature. So, no complaints there.
I had never stayed on the 320 side of the facilities. The noise from neighboring guests was a little louder than usual, which highlights the thin walls.
The front desk clerk was not friendly. She wasn’t rude, just flat. This is hit or miss here, so I would recommend focusing on even just a small smile and “hi how are you?” Road weary guests enjoy friendly welcomes.
- john (8/5): -
- jeanneau (8/5): Très bien - Confort de la chambre Rien
- Alannah (6/5): Bath room nasty - Price Tub was nasty
- Tracy (8/5): -
- Deborah (10/5): - Efficient, friendly and helpful front desk staff member. Top class service. Thank you!

- Mills (9/5): I needed a bed bath tv in Harrisonburg for 2 nights and this was available and reasonably priced - Price location Nothing
- Ryan (7/5): -
- Jessica (1/5): Will never stay there again it was convenient location but not ran well - Convenient location Went to the front desk to ask for and additional towel since it was 4 of us and said they’d bring it over but after an hour they never did. Then when we called again said they’d sent were too busy with people there and never sent
- Steve (2/5): Pay the extra money and stay at a real hotel - Basically it is jsut gross the room smelled, the breakfast sucked. It was all kind of shady.
- Lynn (10/5): Great visit - Smoking room N/a
- Christopher (2/5): - Not much. Only breads for breakfast, nothing a diabetic should eat. Protein bars or something non sugar/carb would be welcome.
Could see daylight through the door cracks.
Safetly latch extremely loose, like it had been kicked through and not properly repaired.
Refrigerator defrosted 3 times a day, leaving puddles on the floor.
People smoking right outside my door all weekend, meaning I got to smell their smoke.
Loud discussions outside my door.
Motel staff didn't answer phone.
Definitely not worth 100 a night, even if you take the other guests' actions out of the loop.
I have photos of the un-cleaned sink, the light thru the door cracks, etc.
- Dana (9/5): Great place. Will stay again. - Perfect location The room was a little dusty
- Robin (10/5): - Great price. Rooms clean annothingd very friendly staff. Nothing

- Zimmermann (2/5): Terrible. Claustrophobic - The room was so small for 3 adults and a dog. Staff was pleasant but we did not need much. My husband said we booked a room with 300 square feet but no way did we get that. We thought about leaving but to pack up and go to another hotel but the thought of packing up was overwhelming. We suffered through it! Size of room and improved bathroom with size increased. We stayed 5 days and felt we were misled by the information posted online
- Courtlyn (10/5): -
- Richard (6/5): I would return. - Did not have it.
