Reading the reveiws beforehand Al Faro was described as a hidden gem, they were not wrong! Boat trips can be arranged at the desk, cost depends on how many people but even for two people they are very good value. Can't wait to visit again! Nothing

Happy hour drinks prices were great. Staff went above and beyond for our stay. Not an issue for us, but just bear in mind you are on an island so nothing else to do around eg restaurants shops etc.
• Angelique (8/5): Unieke locatie. - De toegang naar het resort met een bootje en het uitzicht is echt subliem. Het restaurant is goed en personeel heel vriendelijk echter heel afwachtend.De kamers zijn ook heel leuk en apart. Omhoog lopen met bagage, dunne matrassen op de bedden, overal mieren en ander ongedierte, douche die overal heen spuit en geen warm water gaf. Verder is er niet veel in de buurt te doen.

• Eric (9/5): sejour de réve mais un peu isolé et montée sportive - La vue est exceptionnelle aussi bien depuis le restaurant que depuis la chambre, les personnels très très gentils, Le cadre est vraiment fantastique Il faut cependant noter que l’hôtel n'est accessible qu'en bateau et est à une heure de coron en voiture. Il y a également une cote conséquente à monter à pied lorsque l'on arrive à l’hôtel pour atteindre le bâtiment principal. Ce n'est pas indiqué sur la description de l’hôtel.

• Aletta (9/5): Heel ontspannen - Hele fijne plek om te verblijven. De kamers zijn ruim met een goed bed en lekkere douche. de staf is super attent en hulpvaardig. Het terras restaurant is een heerlijke plek om ook overdag aan te schuiven en het zwembad ligt prachtig met mooie zonsondergangen. Met een grote regenbui lag er een behoorlijke plas water in de kamer.Dit kwam via de muur en vloer. Dit wordt vast aangepakt nu.

• Marion (9/5): Superbe fin de séjour aux Philippines dans cet hôtel - Très bel hôtel vue mer. La piscine est agréable et les bungalows également. Le personnel est très accueillant et disponible. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour reposant à Al Faro. Nous en avions conscience donc cela ne nous a pas dérangé mais bien noter que l'hôtel est très loin de la ville et qu'il faut prendre un bateau pour en partir si vous prévoyez de faire des excursions.
• LEIDELINGER (8/5): séjour reposant - Vue magnifique, séjour au calme dans un cadre splendide et personnel adorable. Restaurant bon, sans plus et surtout pas d'autre option sur place mais comme on recherchait le calme avant tout cela ne nous a pas dérangé. En résumé nous avons passé un excellent séjour et nous recommandons cet hôtel quand on aime être loin de tout. Enormément de marches dont certaines sont en pente, piscine très petite et surtout baignade mer impossible en raison des méduses (on aurait préféré le savoir avant car on pensait faire du snorkeling tous les jours). Pas de wifi en dehors du restaurant

• Jade (10/5): - Wow! Where to even start. Mind blowing views, gorgeous pool area. Best sunset view ever. Rooms facing the sea. Everything was cozy and clean. The food was delicious and affordable, massive selection! Free kayak rental to explore the bay. A lot of reviews refer to the steps to reach the top of the hill where the resort is located, it's really not an issue. Very easy to access (takes no longer than 2 min) and the view is worth it! Staff professional and everything so well coordinated. We will be back! Nothing at all.

• Putt (10/5): Fabulous and would visit Busuanga and stay there again! - A great casual and low key feel and so it was perfect for a chilled holiday but also great location if you wanted to venture out to do things. Breakfast choices were great and they were very flexible if you wanted other things or a different mixture. They all knew your name and room number and so you didn't need to worry about the bill and they tallied it along the way. Everyone was friendly and attentive. General menu was good and they offered specials for dinner too. The location was so lovely in the bay and eveyone had great views from each of the huts or rooms. The restaurant location was lovely too as it faced the ocean with great view and felt open and tropical. It was easy to book the kayaks for free or arrange to take their boat across the water if you needed to. It was easy if you wanted to arrange day trips etc. It was all very efficient. Loved it. Nothing really. Maybe more local dishes on the menu, but all in all it was fine as it was.

• Sebastiaan (10/5): - Dit verblijf is echt fantastisch en wat is het personeel super lief. De ligging is er goed en uitzicht geweldig. Eten goed, genoeg te ondernemen voor redelijke prijs. Het is een behoorlijke klim naar boven. Voor mijn geen probleem maar misschien voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn of ouder kan het een probleem zijn. Verder alles fantastisch, echte aanrader.

The tours proposed on site are great and at fair price. Many stairs de go up-hill and you are de facto limited in your options for the dinner or to visit Confession. It’s just to be known before. That said I do appreciate the hotel is offering great meals opportunity at very fair price
• Maria Lucrezia (7/5): - beautiful view and peaceful place The staff was completely absent and cold, which is very strange for the Philippines. We asked about tours and, without saying a word, they just handed us a sheet of paper and that was it. The room is very basic, which is fine, but it isn’t cleaned and the towels aren’t changed. Moreover, when we pointed out that the floor was completely dirty with gecko droppings, they came in and picked it up with toilet paper without even doing a minimal cleaning. The restaurant isn’t great; they charge you for everything, even air, and if at breakfast you ask for both coffee and juice, you have to pay extra on top of a breakfast that is already not included. The restaurant just outside (Sea Breeze) is definitely better, and the owner is lovely and kind. The pool is dirty and never cleaned.

Het is super gelegen, super begeleid naar de locatie: alles wordt voor je geregeld. Het personeel is super aardig en gaat duidelijk voor de beste beleving! Ook was de massage heerlijk. We waren graag langer gebleven! We waren iets minder onder de indruk van het eten van het restaurant in vergelijking met alle andere punten.

• Jennifer (10/5): Es war wundervoll! - Das Personal organisiert alles. Jeder Wunsch wird möglich gemacht. Die Aussicht auf das Meer war wunderschön Man sollte beachten, dass es wenig Restaurants in der Nähe gibt. Wir haben ausschliesslich in der Unterkunft gegessen.

• Pontus (10/5): Ett lyxigt men familjärt boende med oslgbar utsikt. - Läget, maten, men det var framförallt personalen som gjorde hela vistelsen så enastående. De var så otroligt snälla, trevliga och omhändertagande. De lärde ens namn och vart man bodde, planerade med en om man ville göra någon aktivitet, och såg till att det funkade. Middagen planerades i förväg och vi behövde aldrig vänta på maten. Köket var också av högsta standard. Ett otroligt boende med en svårslagen utsikt.

Das Hotel liegt außergewöhnlich idyllisch und ruhig, mitten in der Natur, mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick – perfekt für alle, die Entspannung und Naturerlebnisse verbinden möchten. Die Küche überzeugt mit frischen, sehr guten Speisen. Das Personal ist durchweg sehr freundlich, engagiert und unterstützt zuverlässig bei der Organisation von Aktivitäten, Scooter-Verleih und Transfers. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die einzigartige Lage, die ideal für Aktivitäten wie Kajak-Erkundungen ist. Ein echtes Highlight sind außerdem die Inselhopping-Touren mit lokalen Guides in angenehm kleinen Gruppen, oft nur mit wenigen anderen Hotelgästen. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die North-Calamianes-Tour zur traumhaften Black Island. Da diese der erste Stopp der Tour ist, hat man mit etwas Glück den wunderschönen Strand und die Höhlen nahezu für sich allein. Ein perfekter Ort für Naturliebhaber, die Ruhe und besondere Erlebnisse suchen. Nichts.

• Ruby (10/5): I couldn’t recommend Al Faro more!! - The staff at AL Faro were incredible, very friendly and helpful. The location couldn’t have been better in regards to accessing things around El Nido. Our rooms and the facilities were clean and freshened up everyday. They have a shuttle to beaches out of town and unlimited free chilled drinking water. The cocktails were the best we had in the Phillipines and breakfast was fast and delicious. I couldn’t recommend Al Faro more We didn’t stay long enough

• john (9/5): A jewel location in Busuanga bay - Beautiful setting and views, wonderful, friendly staff, great meal options, easy pick up for boat tours, comfortable bungalows, excellent massage therapists on site, nice pool. Folks just need to know upfront that its a 45 minute ride from Coron town, a short boat ride and once you arrive you need to walk uphill 100+ steps to the top of the hill. Good exercise but not for those with any mobility issues.

• Joshua (10/5): - We felt welcomed from the first moment. The staff is incredibly kind, the food was really good, and they always made sure you have something planned for the day. The ferry from the hotel runs at all times, so you don't need to worry about being too disconnected. Enjoyed only having wifi at the restaurant and not in our room so we could focus on other things but our phones. We ended up staying in the UFO Loft (superior room) and stayed for 6 nights. I worried slightly if 6 nights would be too long, but in the end I am very glad we stayed the whole time. From our personal experience, we took the local/public bus from Coron to get there, had our laundry done on site, had massages, often ate at the restaurant (recommended), rented scooters, went scuba diving, took the free kayak out, and used the airport transport. All very good. At the end of the day, we always headed to the pool for the happy hour and the incredible sunset view. They have a cute dog. The only thing I did not like was the pizza. We had brick oven pizza in Coron with fresh pineapple, so I will admit I had very high expectations. I was therefore surprised to have canned pineapple on the Hawaiian pizza. Minor detail, otherwise food was great!

• giada (9/5): ll luogo perfetto per relax totale nelle Filippine! - Da dove iniziare, questo posto è incredibile! Staff gentile, preparato e disponibile, menù del ristorante adeguato e colazione ottima. Le stanze sono pazzesche, immerse nella natura e con una vista sul mare mozzafiato (ma se avete paura di insetti e animali non fa per voi, tutto è aperto, si riempiono di formiche e insetti, ma a noi non importava). Il salottino privato con amaca all'ingresso dei bungalow è adorabile. Forniscono kayak gratuitamente per farsi un giro in autonomia, ma tutto il resto è a pagamento (e un po' caro, ma alla fine lo capisco, siamo in mezzo al nulla!). Noi avevamo fatto tutte le classiche attività di Coron in città, quindi non abbiamo chiesto di fare nessuna escursione. Si è isolati dal mondo, quindi si passa tutto il tempo "bloccati" qui. Per una coppia che ha voglia di fare attività due giorni sono quindi più che sufficienti, a noi è servito per rilassarci e goderci il panorama. E' stato un soggiorno meraviglioso, grazie!

• Dariel (9/5): Wonderful location, food, and staff, will come again - Staff very friendly and eager to do their jobs well, owner was present, also really friendly and hands-on with management, food was great and worth the steep climb from the hotel wharf. I'd eat here even if I was staying elsewhere. Resort is located near several fascinating wrecks, and five minutes away from Gunter's Dive shop, the pioneer and specialist in Coron wreck dives. Breath-taking sunsets. We liked our experience so much, we extended for three more nights. The thatch roofing in our cottage gave me a bit of an allergy.

Breathtaking view, amazing cocktails and food, nice people, amazing view from the room (we had the one on top with 360 view on the ocean and the bay). The rooms are clean and the views from the room and from the pool area are awesome. There’s a good choice of food and we stayed for every meal whilst we were there and enjoyed them all. A really exceptional place to disconnect. Not really a problem but the arrival procedure and communication could have been clearer including options for hotel pickup etc.
• Kata (10/5): Exceptional - This was the best room I have ever stayed at in my entire LIFE. Not just the best stay in the Philippines (which it was, by far) but also overall just WOW. You can get there by boat which in itself is very unique, and after you climb up the stairs they greet you with a smile and a welcome drink, and the views, oh THE VIEWS. Out of a fairytale. The fact that the room had no glass window, you were part of the outside, feeling the breeze. Laying on the bed seeing the see, palm leaves and the sky: it truly felt like we were in heaven. The pool with the views, happy hour cocktails for cheap, some great daytrips. Our whole stay was perfect, like a dream, thank you! I can only mention some really small things to consider: the way up can be quite a struggle for some people. The bathroom doesn’t have a door, which did not bother us but it might be weird to adjust to for some people. For food your only option is the restaurant, which was good but of course not the cheapest. (The breakfast options are great though). And this did not bother us because we had our own scooter but we heard their shuttle and bike rental services are quite overpriced so better to have your own vehicle ☺️

• Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning location - great place to relax and enjoy some amazing views. Hotel staff were lovely and the bungalow was stunning with nice places to sit both inside and outside with amazing views.
• Nadine (10/5): A true gem - Al faro facilities and the team are exceptional. The location is secluded and private (and requires a short boat ride to get there) offering private accommodation with exceptional bay sunset views, a super relaxing pool area and fantastic food. You do not need to leave for anything - everything is taken care of and can be arranged. Activities on offer are arranged with simplicity in mind and include everything from scooters, to kayaks, to diving, to snorkeling and more. The service is outstanding and the people are incredible.
