- Peter (8/5): - This is an old property that is receiving some TLC. Staff was pleasant and the location was awesome. Pleasant 15 minute walk to a number of restaurants and shops and a 1 minute walk to the ocean front pathway.

- Kathy (10/5): - The owner was super! There is a nice garden area to sit and visit or BBQ. The vegetables grown around the garden are donated to the food bank. Sadly this place has been sold and condos will soon be there.

Fridge, microwave, glassware, cups, plates you name it. we stayed there twice and both rooms were very pleasant. extremely close to the airport right by the water and the beautiful small town of Sydney.

- Shirley (10/5): - Cedarwood is an older hotel within walking distance of downtown Sidney. Directly across the street is a walking path to Sidney with a park, sand volleyball court and an arts centre. The decor in the hotel is dated, however that leads to the charm. Love staying there snd will again when in the victoria area

If it was the winter I couldn't open the windows it could have been a lot worse. Only excuse I can come up with is it was a designated dog suite, but my dog is cleaner than the place for sure. Snot dried onto a face towel was gross. You were expected to do your dishes before checking out.... Redeeming factor was the front desk staff were lovely.

Walk right to Beacon Street and enjoy the shops of Sidney or take a straight shot bus right to downtown Victoria. Was extremely appreciative of their pet-friendly policies. Will def be back!

- Susan (10/5): - We like the quiet and it’s close to the beach and the shops in Sidney. Suites are clean and comfortable. We like having a fridge and oven so that we can cook easy meals. Netflix on TV was nice at night. The garden was rather rugged but probably due to water restrictions. They were doing a lot of gardening on the day we left. I hope they can refill the planters. Also we could have put dog with us. We’ve stayed here before and will again.

- Jodie (8/5): - The property was great for our needs. It had a small kitchenette. The fridge came in handy. We loved the living room area with the couch. It was a nice space to sit and visit. It was also very nice to be able to walk across the street to the Ocean. The beds were comfortable and clean. The room was a little dated and the chairs at the dining table were dirty and stained, they definitely needed to be replaced. It would have been nice to have a see through railing on the upper floor where we stayed so we could sit outside our room and enjoy the beautiful view. Overall I would recommend this place.
- Shakir (4/5): - Please ensure that you inform the owner to give you a non pet room if you have any pet allergies. We were put in a room that was pet friendly and both my son and I have allergies and immediately were sneezing and when we entered. I did inform front desk right away but they couldn't move us as I think they were sold out but did give us febreeze to cover the pet smell. Also, there was a strange Oder coming from the tub. Not sure if it was the drain or the water.

We were a group of 4 and the suite was very comfortable and we loved having a fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed. The staff were wonderful, the room was clean with an ocean view. It's also perfectly located for walks along the ocean or a stroll into Sidney for shopping, dining, etc. We also loved that the room had a binder with lots of information including restaurant recommendations in meal categories (breakfast, lunch, dinner, take-out, etc). I would definitely recommend the Cedarwood and will definitley be staying there again. PS - also super great for families as there is a wonderful kids park across the street.

- Alice (8/5): - We returned to Cedarwood because our first visit was so positive. Unfortunately 3 of the 4 in our party have mobility issues. The facility has no elevator so it was a bit of an issue carrying luggage up and down stairs. Would return but assure we are on first floor

The location to the airport and ferry as well as Sidney make it an excellent location for travellers. Additionally, the large suites would be ideal for families to come together
