Guest Reviews
- Sandra (8/5): - Building is neglected and area is ok. Room was clean, but small and cheaply maintained. Was about a mile from Lambeau field, so good for walking to see the game.
- Pete (8/5): - It was pretty much what I expected. Discount hotel, a bit run down. Towel bar screws barely secured to wall, plywood on front of sink damaged, probably the result of a cheap fix. Not even a full roll of TP in room when I checked in. Check-in was smooth. Other than some areas at the base of the bathroom that had not been properly cleaned, the room was clean.
- TERRI (2/5): Nasty place - I understand the charge for checking in early, but to find a filthy room. Mold in refrigerator, nasty dirty bathroom floor, fleas in the bad and on surfaces, dirty sheets/covers. Then night guy says he can do nothing, but put us in a bew room because manager gone for night. Telks me to talk to management in morning. Theorning person dont soeak englush. Says call manager. I do, she said because we took a different room. Its my problem.
- Eugene (2/5): Dingy - I checked out after 15 minutes. This place was dingy. I’m not sure the sheets were clean. There were little black specks in the threadbare sheets. I scratched one of the specks and it smeared. Possibly mascara? Just a guess. Stay away from this place.
- Gary (2/5): - I was unable to check in. The lobby door was locked There was a man at the side door and said they were sold out. I told him I had a reservation, but it didn’t matter. The lobby was unattended, and no one was answering the phone. so, I had to buy another room across the river.
- Janet (6/5): - No in room or lobby coffee, no microwave in room. Lady at front desk extremely friendly and helpful
- Jessica (2/5): Do not stay here, there are way better options. - There was no open office or area at all to sit. Vending machines were very expensive for little offered. The whole room felt more like a county jail cell than a motel room. Very expensive at over $200 for one night with NO amenities or perks to make it worth the stay. The toilet dod not flush unless you used the power of Hulk. No bath available due to flooding? It was dirty and scarce
- K559WZloisb (2/5): One Hotel/Inn to avoid!! - The floor was dirty! I took my shoes off when we first got there and the bottom of my feet were black in under an hour! I also stepped in cigarette ash( it was a no smoking room)! Every floor tile in the bathroom was cracked. The toilet "wiggled". At about 1 AM, someone moved into the room directly over us and started the shower. I actually got up to look as it sounded like it was my shower that was running. We could hear every word they were saying! Definately NOT worth the $300.00 we had to pay for one night! Avoid the Appleton Economy Inn!!!
- Garrett (6/5): - My friend and I went to a concert in Green Bay, and we knew it wouldn't have been feasible to drive out of the city after the show, so we booked a room here for the night. Despite its low rating, for the price compared to other hotels in the area, it was very serviceable. The room we got was clean from the bedsheets to the bathroom, the TV worked well, and there weren't any disturbances. The staff were decent too. There's no continental breakfast, but it's a big city, so nearby restaurants and diners are easy to find. It's not exactly a luxury suite, but if you find yourself in the area and you need a cheap place to crash for a night or two, this is your best bet.
- Wendy (10/5): - Very friend and very clean
- Wendy (10/5): - Very friendly staff and very clean
- Wendy (10/5): - Very friendly and clean
- Brenda (8/5): - Easy to find
- Marie (4/5): - Very dissatisfied, facility not professional, didn't feel safe. I didn't stay, checked in and out right away
- Bill (8/5): - I should asked for better pillows they was to soft for me
- Beverly (10/5): Pleasantly surprised - We stayed here for the 2025 NFL draft and I would definitely stay here again. Very reasonable pricing compared to other hotels in the area. I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and bed comfortable. No extra frills but it had everything we needed
- Amanda (6/5): No frills, clean motel. Nice staff - No frills motel stay that is within walking distance to Lambeau. Room was clean, beds were comfy. TV and mini fridge in room, both worked. Place was quiet and felt safe. Bathroom could use and upgrade but still usable and clean.
- Don (8/5): - Basic economy hotel, micro, no frig. Fine for $
- Marc (8/5): - good
- Nathan (2/5): - Not a very nice place. Had a very strong nasty odor. We checked out a day early even though there was no refunds because of the smell.
- Rose (10/5): - It needs new pillows
- Erik (6/5): Ok gor a place to crash after a game - Ok for a cheap 1 night place to sleep after the Packer game. Rooms are not in good condition. There was a lot of weed and cigarette odor in the halls.
- Rob (6/5): - Place is fine for crashing after a packers game
- Joseph (10/5): - Excellent staff, clean room, nice little Juliet balcony. No complaints
- Michael (8/5): - Room was clean but hallways smell like cigarettes and marijuana pretty heavily. Parking lot is tight, no elevator so be prepared for stairs to get to the 2nd floor.
- Julie (2/5): - Horrible place to stay; I do not recommend it for anyone.
- Jeffery (4/5): - I liked the price and proximity to the stadium. The room only had a bed, tv, microwave. NOTHING else. It had an actual key entry to hall and a different key for room. Hall smelled like marijuana. The room was very out dated, and run down.
- Carrie (6/5): When you don’t have other options… - Was the cheapest place we could find during a packer game. The toilet flush valve was broken, only one light worked (the bathroom), and a homeless guy wandered the parking lot each morning.
- Deanna (8/5): - Property is older but looks recently renovated. The rooms are always very clean. Area is quiet. Staff was very helpful and apologetic when they couldnt find our reservation. Luckily, they were still able to give us a room. Future advice, follow up after they send a confirmation and pay for the room in advance.
- Shannon (2/5): - Horrible
- Kenneth (4/5): - No room cleaning for a week. Rude staff. If all you need is a bed, this is the place for you. Poor pillows.
- Kenneth (2/5): - Added already.
- Bonnie (6/5): - Room was not clean. No shampoo or soap. Bed linens were awful.
- Alex (4/5): - No frills. Dirty property. Owner blocks off parking spaces for her convenience. Some guy acted like he was a security guard watching the lot so no one takes her spots.
- Philip (10/5): - Staff is awesome
- Jennifer (4/5): - Couple below us we're up all early am arguing an fighting bed had stains on couple blankets hallways not clean funny weird smell in building also sorry but not the best experience
- Nicholas (10/5): - The staff were extremely helpful and very professional. Extremely well priced, if you are looking for a place to crash I highly recommend economy.
- Kyle (2/5): - Hotel was not as advertised on Expedia. Room had no carpeting, cinder block walls, the window was into someone’s back yard, staff pretended to not speak English when asking questions but spoke perfect English when we checked out (same staff person). Bed sheets had stains, we found mouse droppings IN the bedding, and other guests were noisy most of the night. Trashiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in- was so bad we left a night early even though we paid for 2 nights.
- Stuart (10/5): Packers game stay - An older facility, but well maintained and clean. Easy walking distance to Lambeau Field and quiet when we needed it to be. Would stay there again.
- Yeng (8/5): - It's a decent place. But short on amenities
- Kim (4/5): - Large insects in the bathroom light. Sheets did not look clean, stains on sheets and pillowcases.
- Valerie (8/5): - Great location, good price, clean and very comfortable beds
- Thomas E. (10/5): - Very Nice, Thanks, Tom
- Adam (10/5): - Came here for our first packers trip and wasn’t expecting much, but this did the job amazingly! Very clean and everything worked! For the price we paid we couldn’t ask for more, quick 15 minute walk to the stadium, no complaints at all!
- Teresa (4/5): - The best thing I can say is that the location was very convenient to Lambeau and most things were walkable. However, the facilities were old and poorly kept. Our blankets were stained with what appeared to be old bodily fluids. The lamp shades were stained and peeling. There were no wash clothes in the bathroom. There was no coffee maker or teakettle in the room. There was an ice machine available but no ice bucket. The walls were paper thin. And finally, if you have knee problems you will have problems getting off the toilets because they are very low to the ground.
- DON (2/5): Great Location, Bad Comfort - Long story short, if you need a quick
place to stay for cheap, then this may be good for you. We paid almost 600 bucks, granted, it was a game day weekend, so I get the high price. The first room we haf, thete was a half bottle of soda in the fridge and the toilet didnt work. The staff was super friendly and got us a new room, but that room the mattress was old and had broken springs. Sleep was hard to cone by as you kept rolling all over due to the lumps in mattress and loud spring sounds. The bathroom sink is not in the bathroom, fyi. Overall , if I spent less money this might now be such a big deal. Great location, and front desk was helpful. TV worked fine. Comfort was terrible. Hope this review helps.
- MacKenzie (4/5): - The room appeared like it hadn't been vacuumed recently. The overall smell was of overwhelming bad weed and lack of ventilation. I understand it’s a budget hotel but it felt like the exploitation of it being a home weekend took advantage of those of us not being able to pay for a little bit closer to the stadium was a bit much. Glad we didn’t get bed bugs.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Read Reviews Before Booking - We went to the Packers vs. Vikings game on Sunday, and needed a place to stay. I understand that "you get what you pay for" and we did not have high expectations, but the bare minimums of cleaniliness and a relatively safe place to sleep were not met for $245 per night. The halls wreaked of marijuana. Not the end of the world, but not a great start. Our room smelled like every dive bar from before 2010, and thats coming from 2 former smokers. There was a piece of trash on the floor, and a long strand of hair in the bathtub. There were holes in the ceiling (besides them just being tiles), and some dismantled electronic on the ledge of the wall. We also weren't comfortable leaving our personal belongings in a turn-key room all day. Since it was non-refundable, we tried to tough it out, but ended up checking out after a few hours and stayed somewhere else. The only positive is that the lady working at the desk was very kind and offered to switch our rooms, but we still would not have felt comfortable staying there.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Decision - NOT WORTH A SINGLE DOLLAR.
Shady hotel. Homeless people. Clogged basin. Black moles. All your nightmares in one place.
- Lawrence (8/5): - The heater wouldn't turn on. It stayed around 68.
- robert (6/5): No Fridge, stained sheets and towels - Oooph. The place is really run down.Rust or mold on the drop ceiling channels in the bathroom, no fridge, both the sheets and towels had stains. Don't expect anything modern, this is a cinder block building, they give you two keys that look identical and tell you this one is for the doors and this one is for the room. They could at least make different color copies to help tell them apart. It's a pretty shabby run down place. absolutely no frills, no breakfast, i don't even think an ice machine, though i'm not certain on that. When i entered my room, the window was open, so i'm not sure if they are airing out smells or what. It a weird little hotel
- Deanna (8/5): - This is an older property but every thing was in good shape. Building and area are clean. Quiet. Walking distance to some restaurants and the stadium.
- dominic (10/5): - they are improving the property, clean and improved.
- Gerald (2/5): - Took 6 hours to make reservations, no one answering the office phone ,,expensive ,signs for check out don't match different times fill in at desk doesn't understand english, laundry hours are supposed to be 9am to 9pm but I was locked out after starting wash and they shut the washer off
- George (6/5): - Nothing fancy. A room with a bed. OK for a one night stay. Seemed clean enough.
- cori (4/5): - Rooms not cleaned, would not use shower. Very run down. Would not stay there again.
- Sarah (4/5): - Never got to Economy Inn.
Fuel pump quit working in truck. Stranded.
Reservation was non-refundable.
Won't do this again.
- Wesley (6/5): - An old property only good for a sleeping room. Room was surface clean and quiet. No desk lamp and the ceiling light was too dim and located to put desk in shadow. Retrofit heating/cooling unit meant for the floor was high on the wall and controls could not be read without a flashlight while standing on tiptoe. TV had less than 20 channels (none of which I wanted and the remote was difficult to figure out).
- John (2/5): - Unhelpful
- Curtis (6/5): - I could not get any hot water from the faucet in the bathtub and therefore could not take a shower. Hot water was available from the sink outside the bathroom. I requested a rate adjustment when I left, but I am uncertain whether this was granted. I will continue to stay here because of proximity to where I work here twice monthly, and because of the reasonable rate. Vending machine in the lobby was out of order, but posted with a sign.
- Wesley (6/5): - For a lower price motel you can do worse. Most everything is "good enough". Old, a bit run down, some spots of minor disrepair. TV was stuck on a dead channel, couldn't change. Room was cleaner than I expected.
Would call it a safe enough choice if you can't afford better. Staff was easy to work with.
- Jamie (2/5): - The room was dirty with stuff all over the floor and bed. The room also had an extremely fowl smell. There were no soaps except one hand soap, very little towels and the sheets had burn holes in it. The my sis give us a new room when we complained and asked for a refund. The 2nd room was better and didn’t have a horrible smell but was still pretty bad. I would NOT recommend this property.
- Matthew (10/5): - Great location close to Lambeau Field and downtown. Clean room and reasonable price compared to competitors.
- Jody (2/5): Price Gouging Dump! - Imagine a white collar prison cell with a banged up mini fridge... now add a layer of grime, a fist hole in the wall, and a shower that goes ice cold to scalding hot with no middle option... and then drop your expectations by half. Be prepared to pay $250 plus a night on a home game weekend for the opportunity to try and sleep in this dump.
- Lisa (2/5): - Management very rude. Room was dirty abd hotel smelled musty. Would never stay here again.
- Fredericka (2/5): - Refused to give me a refund for an accidental booking due to a phone error.
- Joe (8/5): Not much for your money - Very basic dorm-room style, with no amenities. Only thing positive was the proximity to the stadium.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Non empathetic customer service. - I am unable to give a review on the condition or the property, because I never stayed there.
I was unable to make my trip due to an upcoming surgery and they showed no sympathy or empathy and wouldn’t let me cancel. They would not work with me in anyway.
- Kristine (6/5): - Didn’t expect much as I knew it was a 2 star hotel but the place in run down and filthy. More like a half star.
- Gloria (4/5): - Room is falling apart. The ceiling tiles are exposed, towel hanger was being held by a piece of paper to hold the screw in. drawers were dirty and still had previous people item in them.
- Daniel (10/5): - Great stay, located close to event
Welcoming staff
Comfortable room, clean too
- Jason (8/5): - It was clean. There was no refrigerator in the room and no maid service for new towels
- Marcia (6/5): Run down and gross - Old and not very clean
- Terrance (6/5): Wrong choice on this trip - 189.00 per night . Vending machine out of order . Stayed 3 days Room was not cleaned once No new towels , sheets or trash even emptied.
- Karl (8/5): - Great place to stay, bed was very comfortable, actually slept better on their bed instead of mine at home... only issue was no toilet paper in room and their vending machines were out of order or completely empty... but i would stay there again...
- Mindy (6/5): - It was quiet and clean, no amenities but there was a gas station close by you could walk to for drinks and snacks. Walking distance from Lambeau field, so in all it was a good place to stay just very plain. Basically a bed and a bathroom nothing fancy.
- John (2/5): - Normally I'd say this is a wretched dump that should be avoided like the plague. And that IS true. It's super dirty, stains on sheets, doors swollen with age, people at the front very unfriendly. BUT... if you're just in town to go to a Packers game and just need a bed then this can be an option. I didn't see any rats or bed bugs... but it definitely wouldn't have surprised me.
- David (4/5): - I checked in to see maggots crawling on the bed along with poor bathroom conditions, clogged sinks, and had to kill a million flys nightly. Stay away
- Lori (4/5): - The hotel room was not clean and fresh. Their was no water on my last night due to water main break. Seems some concessions should have been met
- Crystal (4/5): - Usually I don’t write reviews, but the overall cleanliness of the Economy Inn bothered me. The shower curtain was covered in black specks that look like mold. My friends even had specks on their sheets. Our door was also very difficult to shut and lock. I thought for sure someone was going to steal our stuff since we were surrounded by some shady people. Until they make some serious changes, I highly recommend you stay somewhere else. It’s not worth the $500 we paid for.
- vernon (4/5): - close to the Stadium.and fair Wi-Fi but not secure public network
No coffee, no ice one bar of soap at tub one shampoo for two people
- Bill (4/5): Disappointed - Checking in was trying as owners accent was difficult to understand. Sheets were threadbare as was the blanket. I believe myself and my wife were bitten by bedbugs as we both have a few little bites with welts. The owner was courteous to us. The motel needs a complete overhaul and cleaning. I could go on and on. The place needs remodeling and new bedding plus a severe cleaning.
- GRAHAM (2/5): Appalling Hotel - Unclean and Unfit for Occupation - This property is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in and it should be noted that I am a regular traveller and have stayed in many locations around the world. The outrageous cost for a Two Night stay in a 2* Hotel was already appalling, but horror of horrors this property was not fit for pets to stay in. Initially the Receptionist was ignorant and said I did not have a Booking, principally she had EarPods and was more interested in her music than myself the customer, she did not even remove them as I was trying to sort out my Booking that had already been paid for in advance. After speaking on the phone to a colleague, possibly the Manager, and still listening to her music eventually she sorted out my Booking, not before I got a little angry. Worse was to follow when I git in the Room, it was disgusting - very dated, dirty and certainly not hygienic to stay in, but late at night I did not have a choice. I had to make the best out of a horrendous situation. I put what I hoped were clean towels on the chair and the bed so that I could sleep on something that did not seem to be dirty. There were no facilities provided such as Coffee, in fact not even a Bottle of Water !! I felt dirty all the time I was in the room and after the recent COVID Pandemic this property certainly does not meet the proper standards that are required. In summary this place should be taken off the Hotels.com site and perhaps should be even closed down !!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Absolutely Filthy, Bed Bugs - This hotel was awful, I was so disappointed. It smelled like a musty, moldy smell when we walked into the room. Hallways smelled like cigarettes even though it was non-smoking. Something made me decide to check for bed bugs and I’m so glad i did! I lifted the mattress up at all four corners and there were brown, rusty stains between the mattress and box spring. It was so disgusting and my boyfriend and I got out of there immediately and ended up at the Radisson at the airport instead. I’m hoping we didn’t bring any bed bugs home with us from the 10 minutes we spent in the room
- Amy (6/5): - Seemed a bit run down and the lady at the front desk was not very friendly and wouldn't run my card twice, then asked me to go find a ATM and get cash out. It was late, I was tired and had to drive all over to find a 24hr ATM. So I decided not to bother staying at all
- Tom (10/5): - The staff brought us clean towels for our 2nd nt
- Sara (8/5): - Inn was cheap and everything was clean and worked. Room layout was a little awkward and you needed to use an old school key to get in or out, but those weren't necessarily bad things, just unexpected. I'd stay again
- Braden (6/5): - It wasn’t the greatest place but the staff was nice and that made up for it. Will stay again.
- Evan (2/5): - This place is terrible, they could only get away with charging what they did ($300/night) because of the packers game. The place is a hole.
- Macey (10/5): - Quiet & the front desk auditor was very nice.
- Hilary (4/5): - Smelled bad, no microwave, no iron, no hairdryer. Did not appear clean.
- Anthony (4/5): - Needs renovation. Walls visibly dirty
- Tabitha (2/5): May the Odds Be Ever in your Favor - If you currently live in a dumpster you’ve got it better than staying at this place! We got a room with two bed and four people they gave us a half roll of TP and two towels when we asked for more they told us no… there were stains on all the sheets and towels. The floor was sticky, the fridge hadn’t been cleaned in the last year and the toilet only half worked. You can try and talk to the front desk but due to the constant language barrier you won’t get any where. Good Luck
- Thomas (2/5): - Room was dirty when we arrived. Had not been cleaned since the last time room was rented out. We arrived on Dec 24 there was a ticket in room from Dec 11.
- Karen (4/5): - Property is set away from most of the restaurants. Closest place to get food/drink is a convenience store about a 1/4 mile away. Very noisy. Doors are paper thin. Heard a fight one night and an argument the other in the hallway. Heat/AC is very loud. The only drink machine was "out of order". You definitely get what you pay for.
- Desyre (2/5): - Rooms nasty tub not
- Ericgrzen (2/5): UNETHICAL PRACTICES... THEY'LL KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT - I noticed on my credit card statement that I never got my $25 deposit back, so I called the hotel. They refused to credit it back. I didn't trash the room nor did I steal any towels, yet they told me I'll never see the money again. I naturally thought the deposit would credit back to my card after an inspection of my room, but apparently not. They never explained how their policy works and they never told me to make sure I read the fine print. They took advantage of me, and no doubt many others. They simply don't deserve your business. Unethical.
- joe (4/5): Disappointed - The hotel is very old and outdated. The smell of smoke was in the hallway even though the hotel is nonsmoking.
- Matthew (2/5): - We had two rooms but only one had a inside lock (for personal safety). We asked to move to condense to the one room because of this and we’re asked to leave.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Great Locale, Bad Room - The rooms weren't particularly clean, and the entire setting was a bit unnerving. The room had a lingering smell to it. The location was good, but considering the price I was expecting a much better staying experience.
