- Jaz' (10/5): Séjour reposant et accueil chaleureux - Petit village calme et reposant, belle maison traditionnelle en pierre, spacieuse et bien rénovée, dotée d'un salon, d'une cuisine, d'une salle de bain, de 2 WC, d'une chambre et d'un espace extérieur hyper agréable, lequel donne sur un magnifique paysage. Les hôtes sont absolument charmants et aux petits soins. La taverne qu'ils tiennent proposent de quoi se restaurer toute la journée pour des tarifs plus que démocratiques. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Franchement rien à redire

- Mirela Chelaru (2/5): Avoid this place! - The village. My partner and I were booked for a two-night stay, but we ended up leaving after the first night. The hygiene standards were unacceptable from the moment we arrived. We were shocked to find that the toilet did not have a toilet seat. When we reported this to the owners, their response was even more shocking. They asked, "What is wrong with that? Why can't we use the toilet as it is?" This made it clear that they have a complete disregard for basic guest comfort and cleanliness. They also mentioned that, being Saturday afternoon, they might not find a toilet seat. They eventually brought one and installed it. In addition to the hygiene issues, the air conditioning was dripping constantly onto the cupboard, which made it impossible to get a full night's sleep. The bathroom was also very small with poor water pressure, you can't get a proper rinse and the temperature varies from high to low. We cannot recommend this place to anyone.

- Lazar (10/5): A real Cretan village with real and most welcoming people. The experience of what Create is about - The village, the people that live there, everything is so warm and welcoming. The best experience on Crete. The locals showed us the life on Crete. The local taverna is amazing, the food homegrown and unbelievable. This is the place where I will always return to eat an amazing lamb and say hi to these amazing people.

- karamouzas (9/5): για ξεκούραση αληθινή σε χώρο άλλης εποχής...ταβερνούλα δίπλα άψογη, καφενείο με ταβέρνα επίσης - τοποθεσία υπέροχη...σκηνικό από ενετοκρατία...σπίτια μεσαιωνικά πέτρινα με εσωτερικές καμάρες και τεράστιο τζάκι που παλιά χρησιμοποιύνταν αλλά τώρα είναι άρτια διακοσμημένο, εξωτερική αυλή με τραπεζοκαθίσματα και κούνια, βρύση στην είσοδο με λάστιχο να πλένεις τα πόδια σου καθώς μπαίνεις στην εξωτερική αυλή, μπάνιο καθαρό, χώρος άπλετος, πολλά καθίσματα με μασίφ ξύλο διακοσμημένο, πολλές επιλογές εσωτερικού φωτισμού, κλιματισμός σωστός το νερό στο μπάνιο δεν είχε επιθυμητή ροή

Ben sistemata anche per il nostro check in siamo arrivati molto tardi di notte ma siamo riusciti comunque ad organizzarci con il proprietario senza problema. I proprietari hanno anche una taverna vicino alla stanza con una cucina ottima e prezzi basissimi.

Everything was clean, tidy and ready for us. A charming tavern just next to it with food and drinks, very local vibe. Would definitely recommend and come back as well!

- Guest (4/5): Nous avons l'habitude de voyager en Crête, c'est notre 7eme voyage et la 1ere déception. - CERTES SUR VOTRE SITE, IL Y A 45 BELLES PHOTOS. J'avais choisi la chambre en fonction de ce qui apparaissait comme une pièce claire, ce qui n'est pas du tout le cas une fois la porte fermée, la chambre est petite et que dire de la salle de bain qui permet à peine de se retourner. La vue sur le village non mais sur un champ en friche il y a mieux mais c'est plus cher comme nous l'a fait remarqué notre interlocutrice. "Pour le prix vous ne pouvez pas en demander plus !!!!!"

Auch die Hollywood Schaukel war intakt. Es könnte in der Tat etwas mehr Geschirr geben. Einziger Wermutstropfen waren die ab und an im Wohnraum gesichteten Schwarzkäfer, die wir nicht so mochten. Aber ist halt ebenerdig und mitten in der Natur.

- Amy (8/5): Rustic and picturesque house makes an excellent place to experience a bit of Cretan village life. - Vafes is a beautiful village off the beaten path. We enjoyed the traditional building with wooden doors and shutters and a great view of the hillside. The hosts taverna was very nice as well. I found the bed to be uncomfortably firm.

- Paraskevi (7/5): - Όμορφο παραδοσιακό σπίτι. Τα δωμάτια είναι σκοτεινά. Το ένα δωμάτιο ήταν χωρισμένο από το υπόλοιπο σπίτι.
- Humi (10/5): Muy auténtico. - Bien ubicado en un pueblo pequeño y muy tranquilo cerca de Chania y de otros pueblos con mucho encanto. Está muy bien que tenga una taberna donde poder comer. Todo muy auténtico.

Myślę ,że byłby lepszy w okresie letnim, była klimatyzacja, ale wciąż było zimno. Z ciepłą wodą nie było problemu :) Na duży minus zasługuje niestety internet. Jesli nie potrzebujesz internetu do pracy, to działał, natomiast jeśli potrzebujesz stałego łącza może to być problematyczne. Było czysto, były zapasowe koce i ręczniki.

Ήταν όμορφο το τζάκι, το διπλό μπάνιο, και η χώρος της ταράτσας στην κρεβατοκάμαρα, Δυστυχώς το κρεβάτι είχε πρόβλημα και δεν ήταν άνετο, κάτι είχε σπάσει από τη βάση του με αποτέλεσμα να βουλιάζει λίγο στη μέση.

- Σταύρος Σπανουδης (10/5): Μια πανέμορφη βενετσιάνικη γκαρσονιέρα - Βρίσκεται στην κεντρική πλατεία του γραφικού χωριού Βαφές. Ένα εξαιρετικής αρχιτεκτονικής αναπαλαιωμένο κτίριο. Πολύ όμορφα διατηρημένα οι πόρτες, το τζάκι. Μαγική η πετρόχτιστη αυλή. Στο στάνταρ δωμάτιο υπήρχε και κουζίνα και διπλό άνετο κρεβάτι και πολυθρόνες με τραπέζι και τζάκι και άνετος χώρος. Αν και είχε κρύο έξω, είχε πολύ καλή θέρμανση. Πάντα ζεστό νερό. Απίστευτη τιμή Λίγο αργό ίντερνετ. Λίγο μικρή ντουζιέρα.

- Carola (10/5): - We loved the athmosfare in the house and the willage. The house was nicely renovated and had a rustic charm. It was also a perfect place to explore the other pretty willages in the neighbourhood. Nothing that we did not like.

- margot (7/5): Traditioneel maar luid - Het uitzicht op de bergen was schitterend. Je komt ook echt in een lokaal dorpje terrecht. Dit is een traditioneel Stone House zonder twijfel. De foto komt niet overeen met waar je verblijft. De katjes in het dorp komen zo naar je toegelopen. Alles is aanwezig in het steenhuisje. Bed, lakens, kitchenette met frigo, douche, wc en wastafel. Wij hadden het koud in okt 24. In de zomer kan het daar wel warm zijn vermoed ik(geen isolatie). Tegen de koud hadden wij een extra deken gekregen . We hadden gehoopt op een zeer rustige locatie te zijn. Echter was dit totaal niet zo. Er zaten overal honden constant te blaffen, quads toer reed langs je voordeur, de schoolbus stopt voor de deur en de buren zijn een open terras restaurant s avonds laat. Het bed was voor mijn rug verschrikkelijk. De veren staken in je ribben als je op je zij ging liggen.
- E.P. (10/5): Παραδοσιακός ξενώνας για απαιτητικούς - Παραδοσιακός ξενώνας, άνετος σε πολύ ωραίο σημείο σε κλασικό κρητικό χωριό. Πετρόχτιστα σπιτάκια πολύ μεγάλα άνετα , με τζάκι, παραστιά ,καναπέδες και επίπλωση ρουστίκ. Με βεράντες μεγάλες , άνετες με έπιπλα κήπου. Τα κρεβάτια άνετα πολύ καθαρά και τα στρώματα επίσης. Μια πλήρης εικόνα των παραδοσιακών σπιτιών της Κρήτης. Ακριβώς πάνω από τα καταλύματα διαγωνίως λειτουργεί εστιατόριο με παραδοσιακά κρητικά εδέσματα ,που το τιμήσαμε δεόντως. Επίσης η κουζίνα είναι πλήρως εξοπλισμένη για μαγείρεμα. Σε πολύ κοντινή απόσταση βρίσκεται μεγαλύτερο χωριό για εξυπηρέτηση καθημερινών αναγκών.

- Nektarios (10/5): - Wir haben 10 wundervolle Tage in dieser hervorragenden Location mit sehr gastfreundlichen Menschen verbracht. Die Zimmer in dem alten, modernisierten Steinhaus sind sehr geräumig. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Wir haben jeden Morgen das ausgiebige Frühstück im Kafenion genossen und haben auch abends dort sehr gut gegessen. - Ángeles (10/5): Hermoso alojamiento tradicional - Hermoso alojamiento que permite vivir una experiencia mas auténtica. Me gusto mucho alojarme en una vivienda tradicional. Además era grande, limpia y cómoda. La recomiendo al 100%.

- Ilia (4/5): - The village it self is beatiful. It realy is very Traditional and pretty. Not much tourists, and not at all Off season. The appartment we got was definetly Traditional and felt like staying in a museum. It was refreshing and very different from what we expirienced. We also appreciate the owner who made an arragment with us because we wanted to leave after one night. The worst thing was the mattress which was worn out completly and we were "sinking" in it. The other thing was the bed it self which was making squicky noises every time we moved. No one came to meet us when we arrived and we had to look for the host and the house and wait. The electricity of some of the lights in the appartment wasnt working and others were very weak and didnt make much light. The kitchen door couldnt be open until the end. The neighbor had a dog on the roof and it was barking loudly at everyone who passed near by. Some of the windows didnt have any nets so we couldnt open them because of the mosquitoes. We take into consideration that we came Off season and the price was the lowest we found, so we cant act surprised. Even so, it was not a pleasant expirience for us. The kitchen was seperated, was lack some of the basics and the dishes was dirty.
- Karol (8/5): Spokojne miejsce, gdzie można spożyć bardzo dobre posiłki i naprawdę odpocząć. - Wyśmienite śniadanie oparte na lokalnych produktach. Rodzinna atmosfera wśród mieszkających w wiosce mieszkańców. Ładna okolica zapraszająca na długie spacery w pobliskich górach. Poznaliśmy część niełatwej i czasami też tragicznej historii tego miejsca. Nic

- Στεργιος (5/5): Μια λάθος επιλογή. - Τίποτε το ιδιαίτερο, Ευχαριστούμε την Κυρία στο καφενεδάκι για τους καφέδες. πολλά κουνούπια, μικρό κρεβάτι πολύ μικρό ψυγείο το μπαλκόνι ακαθάριστα οι καρέκλες βρώμικες,στο μπάνιο χωρίς πίεση το νερό, Υπερεκτιμημένος χώρος τό φώς στο δωμάτιο χαμηλό καί η μία λάμπα στο κρεβάτι καμμένη το ΊΝΤΕΡΝΕΤ ΠΟΙΟ ΧΑΛΙΑ ΔΕΝ ΓΊΝΕΤΑΙ,!!!!..

- Michael (10/5): Sehr entspannend, wenn man die Ruhe liebt - Ein wunderbarer stiller Rückzugsort und eine großzügige, ansprechend eingerichtete Wohnung. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und die Dachterrasse bietet einen schönen Rundblick. Es störte nur ein nervöser Hund und die Klimaanlage der Nachbarn. Ich selbst habe keine gebraucht, es hat im September genügt, die Fenster nachts zu öffnen, Mücken gab es nicht. WLAN war zuerst schwach, man muss den Extender auswählen.

- Bárbara (8/5): Receção calorosa e ambiente rústico. - Funcionários muito simpáticos e atenciosos, restaurante/café típico e com comida excelente e o ambiente rústico era agradável, fez-nos sentir em casa. Acesso remoto, presença de alguns bichos (devido a localização nas montanhas) e casa de banho rústica (mais antiga).

- Alex Cipry (10/5): Amazing place in a lovely village - We loved our stay! It's a very nicely restored old traditional building that now has everything you might need. It has a nice cozy bed, bathroom and even a small kitchen and fridge if you need one. Family that runs these rooms is so amazing and welcoming. They also have a restaurant nearby where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner and have a real village experience with a mix of a few other tourists and locals. All in all amazing experience far outside of touristy locations, only genuine people and good food. Location is also great for hikers or people with a car who want to explore other nearby villages that are also amazing. Hope we'll be able to come back to Vafes again!
