Guest Reviews
- davidy980 (6/5): A good break by the beach. - Average seaside hotel. Close to beach parade. 10 mins walk to town. Nothing special about the all inclusive deals. The best place is the beach pizza grill hut. Freshly cooked pizza and doner kebab. Very good black turkish tea. Beach is only opposite the hotel. Very easy to access.
- karenmG9250UJ (6/5): Customer service - I am currently staying here and will write a full review later but I want to say thank you to the young man on reception for helping me on my arrival, they didn’t have a booking for me although I booked the whole thing via EasyJet holidays
He was professional and checked me in- unfortunately the room was poor, when I went to say that he acknowledged my concerns and said that the hotel was full that night but the following morning he would move me as people vacated the hotel
The next morning true to his word he did this by mid day and the room was so much better, he text me when it was ready, really good customer service thank you
- Lovecupgravy (6/5): 3 star Hotel 5 Star Location and price - So there are plenty of 1 star reviews and 5 star reviews about this hotel .If your travel company sold you the holiday and told you it was a 5 star hotel they maybe should have told you it was a 5 star by Turkish standards and not British standards there is a big difference ,Jet 2 advertise the hotel as 3 star plus which i would say is about right .My wife and me have visited Turkey 11 times in 9 different hotels and locations this was the most expensive of all those holidays Diamond of Bodrum comes in at number 7 out of 9 in terms of everything you would expect .The location is without doubt the best we have ever had that is where it ends .Staff and service was average the two lads in the rooftop bar were excellent the indonesian girls in the restaurant were great most of the others were pleasent to downright miserable .Pool area broken sunbeds and brollies pool looked clean but was full of sand and dirt and was never cleaned in two weeks we were there . The beach, again broken sunbeds and brollies cig butts broken glass etc all over and never cleaned the sea was clean enough loads of stray dogs so not great .The room we upgraded to a seaview which was excellent, cleaning was ok but a bit hit and miss air con was rubbish made little difference to the room temperature there was no kettle or tea and coffee .Food was quite good with plenty of choice but was not hot enough for example scrambled egg at breakfast was out at 7am and was still there at 8.30 stone cold There were loads of cats running about and begging for food not very hygenic and bearing in mind someone died of rabies from a cat scratch in the UK which was picked up abroad not safe either . Drinks vodka and Gin were brand names the rest was vodka based with flavouring, measurments were generous .I would say taking everything into account this holiday was over priced by around by £ 800 for two weeks very poor value for money the only reason i gave 3 stars was because of the location .
- 363lineas (2/5): Not a 5 star hotel - I'm not sure who and when rated this hotel as 5 star... everything is dated there. We got a room with 2 beds which resembled prison beds or something in a camp. I don't think I have ever slept on a bed like that since I was at school. The bed was so hard it gave me back pain. The bathroom looked like it's been last decorated in the 80s. Tatty and worn, also tiny. The air conditioning didn't work and even when it wasn't hot outside, it was a furnace at night. No air.The WiFi situation was ridiculous, I had to keep signing in over and over again, as it would throw me out every couple of minutes. Ended up having to use roaming. When the WiFi was connected ,it was unusable most of the time.
We only had breakfast included( thank god), it wasn't great. The food was terrible. I ended up only going for coffee. It was off season, and even so there was only 2 coffee machines and queue to get coffee.
I can imagine in season it would be impossible to get any beds by pool or on the beach. The beach is dirty. As an animal lover, I did not mind the beach dogs and was looking after them, also the cats in the main restaurant.
I didn't have any issues with staff, everyone was perfectly polite and helpful.
I don't understand how this hotel has many good revues here, that must be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at( including 4 star in the past!). The only good thing about it was the location.
- dariusz_406 (10/5): BURHAN:)) - Exceptional Service and an Unforgettable Stay at Diamond Hotel Bodrum
I would wholeheartedly recommend the Diamond Hotel in Bodrum, not only for its superb facilities and charming location but, above all, for the exceptional quality of service we had the pleasure of experiencing during our stay.
The entire hotel staff deserves the highest praise for their professionalism, politeness, and willingness to assist, which truly made us feel well taken care of and comfortable.
My special thanks go to the waiter, Burhan. He is an excellent young man whose work in the restaurant was a true pleasure to watch and taste. Burhan is incredibly attentive, quick, and always smiling. With remarkable grace and precision, he looked after our table, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. His positive energy and professionalism are a true credit to the hotel.
Thanks to staff like Burhan and the rest of the team, our holiday at the Diamond Hotel was unforgettable. It is definitely a place I would love to return to.
Highly recommended!
- staceybF9238DC (2/5): Not 5 Star !!!! - My boyfriend and I booked 1 week all inclusive here, we booked in June to stay in September. In July I emailed the hotel 3 times requesting a room upgrade, no acknowledgment or response from the reservation team. I end up having to call Turkey from Ireland to speak to reservations, I was told my request was promised and it was on the booking that we are upgraded and we can pay the remaining on arrival. Arrived to the hotel
and there was no upgrade request noted on file, I explained to the receptions that I had organised all of this 2 months prior.
We spend 1 night in a room with a window as small as a shoe box, no natural light no air, it was horrific. We finally got upgraded but not to what we had originally requested.
The room was ok, bathroom was very outdated, rusty handles and the shower was horrific.
The complimentary drinks fridge was never restocked for the whole week we were there, not once. There was dirty towels in the bottom of the wardrobe, they were from the previous guests staying there before us, those towels stayed in the wardrobe for the whole week. One day the room wasn’t cleaned which is fine it wasn’t necessary dirty but we needed clean towels, I called reception twice requesting clean towels, they arrived 2 hours later. By that point we had used our dirty towels to shower as 2 hours is a long time to wait for a towel.
The aircon was shockingly bad, it sounded like a tractor therefore we could not have it on during the night as you cannot sleep with the noise.
The food was ok, the main restaurant didn’t serve anything appealing and if it did it was cold every single time.
The grill outside by the pool was nice.
The pool situation is terrible, it says that the pool is not open until 9am, however people were leaving their towels down at all hours of the morning and the staff didn’t do anything even if the claimed beds were unoccupied for the whole day. We got to sit at the pool only once in the whole week, because I deliberately had to set my alarm for 6am to put a towel down, I didn’t want to do it but how else was I going to actually get to enjoy my holiday. Again, I sat at the pool ONCE because of this situation. The private beach section was the same issue.
I found the reception team terrible, they were not accommodating or attentive or helpful. However the restaurant staff and cleaning staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Overall I will not return to diamond of bodrum again, I will stick to the hotel I normally go to in kusadasi which is a real 5 star hotel with exceptional service and cleanliness.
- samanthacU2097NL (2/5): How this hotel is 5 star is beyond me - I am writing to express my deep disappointment following my recent stay at your hotel in Turkey last week, which was booked as an all-inclusive holiday. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of the basic standards one would expect — let alone those advertised.
Accommodation Issues:
The bathroom facilities were in extremely poor condition. The shower hose was faulty and spat water out erratically, making it almost unusable.
The toilet seat was broken and the toilet itself was clearly old, stained, and unclean.
There was visible mold in the bathroom, and general dirt and grime around the edges of the room, not acceptable under any circumstances.
Food & Hygiene Concerns:
The food quality was appalling. Items were frequently cold or barely lukewarm, and in some cases, inappropriate for the meal (e.g., Brussels sprouts served at breakfast).
I witnessed ants crawling in the grill section, and more disturbingly, large insects on the food, including one that appeared to be laying or injecting something into the food.
The lack of hygiene and food safety meant I felt only safe eating toast for breakfast, and despite being all-inclusive, we had to eat out most days.
Facilities:
The spa and indoor pool were run down and visibly dirty, with dirt clearly visible on the bottom of the pool. The wooden decking around the pool was unsafe and hazardous.
At 5:30pm daily, we were told to vacate the outdoor pool area, despite many guests still enjoying the space.
There were signs stating “no towels on sunbeds” to prevent early reserving, yet we observed people doing this as early as 1:00am, with no enforcement by staff.
Beach Area:
The beach was filthy, littered with cigarette butts, and there was a strong smell of animal waste, likely due to the high number of stray cats and dogs.
Shockingly, during lunch, a stray cat jumped onto my back, actually drawing blood — this is completely unacceptable in any hospitality setting, especially in a dining area.
Entertainment and Atmosphere:
Entertainment was limited and lackluster, only offered a few nights a week.
Guests were removed from the pool area at 11:00pm for cleaning, further limiting enjoyment.
This holiday was a considerable investment and we expected at the very least basic cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene, all of which were severely lacking.
- bgbO7939TF (10/5): Great Hotel - I was almost put off from booking here due to all of the bad reviews, but this really is a lovely hotel in a perfect location! There are somethings that need improvement, bathrooms need updating, pool needs cleaning and the 2330 nonexistent buffet needs addressing. But if your looking for a well priced all inclusive that is clean and has friendly staff with good food options and real spirits on the drink offerings too then this place was perfect! I would definitely return
- 699jelenab (10/5): Very good 👍 - Family holiday from 06/09 to 13/09/2025
We had absolutely fantastic holidays in Bodrum. Booked though loveholiday company. We stayed at the Dimond of Bodrum hotel. When we arrived to the lobby, we meet a few staff members, smiling and very polite, they helped us with a luggage. Check in was extremely fast, then we were welcomed in the lobby bar, where the bar staff offered us a few drinks. Coming to the room (Double Or Twin Sea View Balcony Or Terrace) we were absolutely surprised with amazing sea view. Room was clean, bathroom looks a bit old and tired, but clean and suitable for our needs. Everyday cleaning, towels changing, drinking water and soft drinks in the room. Air-conditioning working ok, but anyway was so warm in the room. Food was served in the restaurant and at the outside grill bar. Daily menu was very nice and different . We tried to try a local dishes as much as possible 😁
Excellent service! We very thankful for all the staff for all help and support.
Last day my daughter and I were enjoying hammam bath/sauna treatment. We take a complex of a few treatments including sauna, hammam bath, peeling, massage and facial mask. Fantastic 😍 Very recommended!
Poor area. Good, only thing, is a shortage of a sun beds at the pool and at the beach. Some sun umbrellas was broken, but staff members always ready to help. The same at the sea beach. If you was late and don't have a sunbed, don't panic, just let know a staff, they will be sorting it.
At the evening you can enjoy a live music, some entertainment and dancing. Even if you feel bored, in the town you will be found a lot of different entertainments, music, markets and bars 🍻
The only disappointment was the refusal of late check out. Especially the weather conditions+ 34°, and late evening transfer. But we still was able to use all pools, beach and bars/restaurants
- W6577OCtraceyk (2/5): Disgusting - We stayed here 2 years ago and it was amazing, very clean ,staff always cleaning everywhere, this year has been a massive let down, place is filthy, haven’t seen one cleaner cleaning pool area corridors etc,we had a Chinese lad supposed to be coeaning our room ,everyday he asked for you need cleaning today, surely that’s standard procedure ,clean towel etc ,ants are everywhere, everywhere is filthy, literally had some grapes from restaurant been eating out everyday ,I know everyone has their own expectations but mine were of the experience we had 2 years ago not what we got .
- V7103PPkellyv (2/5): Worst Experience - This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in Turkey. To start, both my friend and I fell violently ill after eating their food, we refused to touch it again. The pool area was consistently neglected, with no towels ever available and guests left waiting endlessly. The toilets didn’t even flush properly.
The most appalling part, however, was the blatant racism. The staff openly discriminated against people of colour, not only did we experience it ourselves, but we also witnessed another couple endure the same degrading treatment. The difference in how POC were treated compared to others was glaring, deliberate, and completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the pool reeked of urine.
I could go on listing the failures, but the truth is simple: there is absolutely nothing redeeming about this place. It is a disgrace, and far from a “diamond” or the rating they show in-front of a building.
- tonyaH541ZA (2/5): Sad - Bad hotel smell in rooms
staff was good helpful
food not good everyday the same not enough options 😕
Rooms so small showers don't work 😒
- Nursel (6/5): - Hôtel qui n’a rien avoir avec un 5 étoiles.
- Skandrani (10/5): - Amazing vaccation in this hotel
- Gareth (2/5): - The hotel was dated and dirty
Fortunately I wasn’t all inclusive as the breakfast was discusting
- rachelsV6770VU (10/5): Excellent staff and authentic Turkish food. We will 100% return to this Resort. - I booked 6 days before departure, due to horrific reviews of my original hotel (Alexander the great resort and spa) . Due to booking late, I chose the economy room, which although without balcony, was clean and had everything we needed. The air conditioning was cold, the beds comfortable, with spotless white cotton bedding and towels. We were kindly offered an alternative room as soon as one was available the 2nd day. Staff were fabulous! They even arranged take-out breakfast for our trip to Ephesus due to early start. The resort is VERY clean and the all inclusive is one of the best I've experienced in Turkey. Every meal was delicious. All drinks were included, even Aperol Spritz, cocktails and imported spirits such as captain Morgan's. We only used the a la cart restaurant once during our stay (if staying more than 5 days you can use for free) We found the food in the main restaurant more to our taste. We also found that the staff around the main restaurant and pool more welcoming. The views from level 6 & 7 bars are incredible. And Hedera makes the best cocktails. Beautiful sunsets and harbour lights. And the Hamam is very authentic. My partner LOVED the gym. Its a real weight lifting gym, with showers, changing rooms, sauna etc. Mert was so helpful ensuring we had everything we needed each evening, and showed real Turkish hospitality. The beach is directly in front of the hotel. With Crystal clear wster. We will definitely return here, but next time would probably stay 2 weeks rather than 1.
- zoew928 (4/5): Adult hotel catering for local guests - We attended as a family. This is not a family hotel as advertised and this was confirmed by hotel relations that this needs amendment to the advert.
The food was mainly Turkish dishes asides from chips. I appreciate being in turkey and we like exploring culteral dishes but expected more continental dishes to compliment. Therr was one hot trolley of 8 dishes, the rest fruit and salad. The food was not quality tasting and as we are regulsr turkey attendees, the tukrish food was bland and on many occasions undesirable. The food was uncovered and had flys landing all over it. The snack bar was a saviour 12-5 for fresh cooked burgers, pizza and pasta. The shop was extortionate but is a convenience store and to be expected - we used migros down the road.
There was "entertainment" 4 evenings of the week, 2 nights of a 30 minute live music, 1 night dance show 30 minutes, 1 turksih night 1.5 hours. That does not constitute to an entertainment programme which begins at 9pm.
We borrowed an iron with a 30 minute time frame - the iron was faulty, spluttered out boiling water burning me and then tripped all the electric in the room - credit where credita due, an engineer arrived in minutes confiscating the iron and brought back the electric.
The shop ice cream freezer... wow! Myself and the 6 year old with us were electrocuted multiple times yet when raised this with the shop owner he confidently saod its because we didnt have flip flops on. Health and safety at its best. For a allegedly 5 star hotel, ive stayed in better 2 star propertys.
Our room was out dated and we given a gesture of good will change -
All the rooms are very small and the balcony has room for 2 dinning chairs only. The only change was vanity bench. The aircon is loud and useless as its internally looped as opposed to individual rooms. It blows out warm out and cooler with the door open.
The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh beding and the only rhing i cannot raise any issues with. The beds are rock hard but this is not a hotel issue and is a preference of the sleeper. For me, it ruined my back and I struggled to sleep.
The soft drink pipes needed cleaning as they tasted very chemically. The cocktails were never thensame tasting and the coffee awfull considering Turkey are renowned for thie coffee. We brough nescafe sachets and used hot water. Bottled water available throughout from fridges which was great.
The pool was small and there was a great deal of sand, stones and dort at the bottom from under foot being walked in but ive never experienced a pool like it before.
The hotel overall requires reapair and renovation. Glass screens are broken and shattered on the terrace bar, in the pool, a glass panel fell off and luckily fell backwards and not forward into the pool or worse, it was not a screen around the childs pool. We borrowed an iron with a 30 minute allowance which was faulty, burnt us and then tripped our electric! The shop freezer gave myself and our 6 year old multiple electric shocks and the store worker simply said this was because we wasnt wearinf flip flops. Someone will end up seriously hurt with this mentality.
We are not by far snobby or have ridiculous expectations. We saved up to specially try a 5 star hotel and have been extremely disappointed and wish we had stuck to our usual 2/3 star and our expectations would not have been higher.
Very good location - can walk from the hotel straight to the centre of Bodrum bar street and restaurants and shops easily. A very nice walk.
Sunbeds were another issue as they are in most hotels. The beds wre all reserved and theres a sign to state non return after 1 hour and you loose your reservation which i thpught was great although we had sat eaiting for availability and beds qere held reserved all day and the pool staff said we were not able to remove towels for their guests.
The hotel caters and is very welcoming of Turkish nationals and that may just be because the language barrier. We didnt feel overly welcome and were dismissed alot of the time. Particularly around drinks and meal times and stood queing for long periods of time where Turksih nationals were catered for above us.
The hotel pool showers we used on transfer day were broken and spraying water all over the place, a simple easy fix but another disheartening issue of a sinple shower before travelling home.
The hotel overall was a scraping the barrel "ok" as a sleeping base and had we not spent more money to have a more luxery 5 star holiday, this would have been fine. We opted for a 5 star luxury all inclusive package and had to spent a significant amount of money further to eat out and find family and entertainment. Its a massive learning curve for us. We booked with EasyJet rating this 5 star, upon further looking jet 2 rate this 3 star.
- Asever20 (4/5): Do not choose this hotel unless you want punishment under the heat of 40C!!!! NO AIRCON!!!!! - Very poor air conditioning almost just a fan I could find myself sweating after a shower considering aircon was turned on fully we complained about it they came almost no change at all
Talking to the people staying on the same hotel they all had the same problem
No aircon in the lifts sometimes 6 people together and staying longer than 5 minutes felling almost suffocating
Main restaurant area no aircon either maybe just a fan ,eating out food and using handfan was not fan at all
Also very poor choice of food we are a big fan of Turkish food but all we got was stuffed peppers almost every day
Liver once a week that was also burnt as well as the meat balls all crumbled and also burnt
Poor choice of deserts
We are just of the time outside considering that was supposed to be an all inclusive deal!!!!!
Also heard also almost everyone complaining about the same issues this hotel is max 3 star nothing more
We also complained about this to the reception and we won’t be back!!!! I would not recommend this hotel anyone unless they wanna be punished on hit summer days under the heat of 40C!!!!!!
- markcC5567XR (10/5): A great hotel with a great location close to town. Good food and friendly service. Will be back - A great little hotel. Good service, clean and friendly staff. Will be back. The location provides really easy access into the town centre which is a great short walk
- Nadya (2/5): - Awful I’ve been a regular client of this hotel and it’s very sad to say the property is getting old and it is not maintained well. Old and tired needs a major remodeling immediately.
The lobby use to have windows that would open wide to allow air flow. They replaced the old windows with cheap picture windows that doesn’t open. How stupid the MAIN LOBBY is hot humid and smells stuffy. It’s so hot in the middle of July it was awful.
- 599kingab (8/5): brilliant massages, amazing views and good food - I had a hard time enjoying the hotel beach as the sea brings all kind of rubish. Still just like 50 metres to the left it was much cleaner and there were beautiful fish to admire snurkeling. The hotel's food was very varied and tasty. The staff always smiling tryed to accomodate all of my needs. My favorite place was the Wellnes Center where I recommend asking for Mr. Murat. He gives you a personalized massage taking in account your pains and aches. Thanks to him I lost 5 cm in diameter in the hips! ... while eating well to my liking.
The terrace and roof view is hipnotizing. It would'nt hurt to clean the bathrooms next to the swimming pool more oten.
- Alev (10/5): - Me and my friend had a lovely time over there. Fantastic hotel. Excellent customer service. We are going back again soon.
- M1721TUgustavoa (6/5): Not too good experience - Unfortunately, my partner and I had a disappointing experience. We stayed for 5 nights.
Location of the hotel and the view from hotel are great (beautiful view at sunset from the rooftop). Staff is friendly and ready to help.
Rooms are not like the on the hotel advert. The standard economy rooms are very basic and A/C is not powerful. Rooms, especially the bathrooms, are very small and need updating. We initially stayed in a very small room with a tiny window. It felt very claustrophobic. On the third day, we managed to have our room changed for a room with a window (internal view) but the A/C was very noisy and not working properly. We complaint about it, but nothing was done. We struggle to sleep with the heat.
The main downside was the food and drinks. We chose the all-inclusive option. I've never been to Turkey before, but I love Mid East food.
There were quite a few options for fresh salad and cooked food, but the cooked food was very bland. It would be nice to have an option for a lamb or beef kebab for 1 day at least.
The desserts are tasteless and/or sweet. Drinks are very disappointing. The safest option is beer. We tried a few drinks and all tasted the same, sweet or watery. Wine doesn't taste nice (quite sweet) and they don't have sparkling wine. I was not expecting to have the best food or drinks there, but it definitely could be much better. The hotel is definitely not 5 stars (maximum 3 and 1/2).
- 150jerzyw (8/5): Good hotel, great SPA - The location is great. The food is nice. The views are gorgeous. Yet the best about this place is the SPA. They truely know how to take care of their guests. Professional and amicable, most of all professional! I recommend to start with the Hamam ritual right on the first day. Then anyone can find what they like and need. The quiet pool gives a chance to rest from the sunshine for a bit.
- 12chloev (8/5): Amazing hotel - A massive group of us stayed here for 3 nights for a joint stag & hen doo. Lovely hotel & we were all inclusive. Rooms were lovely too only let down was that the balcony’s/terrace were very small. The bar at reception is 24 hour - we arrived late so were able to enjoy a few drinks. The reception bar serve snack rolls at 1am. Buffet is lovely - different food each night. Pool bar did a variety of cocktails. We even had lunch at the A La Carte restaurant - this is free if you are all inclusive. Pool was freezing at this time of year but was nice to cool down as it was very hot. Free pool towels provided each day. Not a lot of sunbeds - we were lucky as it was a quieter time of year. There is a barber, spa, and supermarket inside the hotel. A 10 minute walk in to the centre with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. The rooftop bar is lovely - especially if you want to catch the sunset for stunning views.
- Nisha_Riat (4/5): Sad to be writing this review - I am truly sad to be writing this review, given that I have been to this hotel before and had a better experience last year.
The positives:
The hotel is located in the perfect area, walking distance to the town, shops and castle and it feels very safe to walk out in the evening
The view is stunning and absolutely 5 star, I cannot fault it
The marina is easily accessible for trips to Kos
The 24 hour bar in the reception is a welcome treat
The staff:
They are very friendly and helpful.
Mucahit on Reception was outstanding and super helpful with organising private vehicles for us.
Eray who is on Reception at night was friendly, kind and knowledgeable
The bar team Enes, Murat, Tulay, Sevval and Fatin were great and always smiling
The night manager Saim was approachable for any issues
Ali Inler and Imam Bakir in the dining all were attentive
Sunny - who worked for the efor spa was amazing
The Room:
When we arrived at the hotel our room was pretty much ready but we went for a drink to the Reception bar first, after about 30 minutes we were taken to our room by the porter, who struggled with our suitcases, that was not such a problem, however he failed to inform us how the safe worked which was locked and there we had to call reception to send someone to unlock it for us. I would have expected the porter to at least show us what we needed to do.
We were in a family room on the ground level right outside the entrance to the beach (room 5006) The room itself was spacious with a double bed and two singles, however we noticed that the bed bases had mould on them and that we were only given one tiny bin in the bathroom between 3 of us.
The lighting in the room was extremly poor, the mirrors were almost impossible to use as they were not clear more like a grey colour. The bathroom also had mould/mildew everywhere due to lack of ventilation and extraction.
The one good thing about the room was that the AC worked properly unlike when I visited the year before.
The room was cleaned every 2 days and we had to call for it to be cleaned and for towels and loo roll to be provided, the cleaning lady however was lovely. The hotel do provide plenty of shampoos and shower gel which was a plus.
The Food:
I have to say this was the biggest disappointment for me this time, there were not as many options for vegetarians, the food was bland and not labelled appropriately. Some food that looked veggie had what looked like meat in it. In June 2024 when I visited the food was actually one of the best things on offer, they even had the snacks open by the pool during my last visit, but this time none of that was available.
We were informed that the management had changed and a number of staff that we had spoken to agreed that it had gone downhill
The Reception:
Unlike last year June 2024 I actually found the reception area a lot more bearable, it was super hot last year and this time it was hot but I didnt feel like I was melting, although after speaking to staff I was informed that they do not turn the AC on in the reception, instead they keep the windows open.
The Pool and sunbeds:
The pool itself isn't huge and they only have one pool with a smaller one for children, it is more of an adults hotel which was perfect for our trip as we did not want to be where there were lots of young children. We were ok securing sunbeds as I would reserve them early however a number of them were broken and uncomfortable so definitely need an upgrade.
The Spa:
The spa was great I went for two treatments and both were worth it, they offered special prices for booking more than one.
The Beach:
There is a tunnel to get to the private beach right in front of the hotel, it is not huge but great for a dip with spectacular views.
Overall the hotel really could do with some significant improvements, particularly the food and the rooms. It's a real shame because there are some really nice elements to it as mentioned the view is outstanding and most of the staff are amazing.
This hotel in it's current state is most certainly not a 5* but rather a 3* after the necessary improvements it may get to it.
It's sad because I actually really like Bodrum and the location of this hotel.
- sahinc786 (10/5): 5 stars - It was a excellent holiday, staff was so friendly with us, love the view from terrace bar, definitely going back again, hope seeing guys soon..
- 207iwonab (10/5): Relaxing stay in a beautiful location - Perfect location with a marvellous sea view and close to the city centre. Very comfortable family rooms with a sea view. Clean and well maintained, services - porters and maids attentive and very efficient. Staff at the reception professional and exceptionally helpful.
Good food - variety of choices.
Friendly atmosphere.
- Nitapatel101 (4/5): Not great - There are so many things wrong with this hotel, and very good things to say about it. I do not understand how this is a 5* hotel and has such a high rating on trip advisor.
Let me start off with the good parts of our holiday and the hotel:
Staff - some of the staff were very helpful especially the reception staff to name one in particular Mucahit (name maybe spelt wrong).
Views - the view from the hotel is spectacular
Swimming pool - this was a decent size but did start to get over crowded towards the middle of our trip.
Shopping - the hotel is in a fabulous location for shopping and restaurants and close to a castle which is beautiful. The port is about a 20 minutes walk away if you wish to do day trips, we did one to Kos.
Things the hotel needs to improve on:
Bedrooms - We were staying in room 5006 and the beds frames had mould on them. The bathroom did not have proper ventilation hence more mould. In the wardrobe there was a open fuse panel which is dangerous. The telephone line cable was not secure and you could see the cables coming out from the wall. The rooms are apparently cleaned every two days. Our room was not mopped until we asked them to do it. Also there was only one small rubbish bin in the bathroom which meant all of our empty water bottles we had to gather on the floor, only after the 2nd night did they put another small bin in the room.
Food - The food is diabolical, I personally eat meat and i struggled to find anything that was of good taste and left me and my sisters with missing out on meals most days because we simply did not want to eat bread the whole time we were there. One morning me and one of my sisters also saw the night manager walking around picking things from the buffet without grabbing a plate, when this was raised with him he had no words. When you go for breakfast at 7am in the morning there is only one staff member around sitting around outside on a lounger on his phone, no other staff in sight and no one to greet you.
Reception area - the reception area gets far to hot even though they seem to say they have AC. They leave the windows and doors open hence the AC probably does not work as intended.
Bell boy - Upon arrival the bellboy brought us to our room but never really explained anything at all to us, later we had to call reception to inform them our safe was not working and when the staff arrived he stated did the bellboy not show you this to which the answer was no. The bellboy also was no where to be seen upon our leaving the hotel for our transfer so we had to carry three very heavy bags to out transfer.
Staff in general - we were advised by the helpful staff that the hotel is under new management and has gone downhill since last year. There were however some very unhelpful staff who just would not bat an eye lid and would not help nor have a smile on their face.
Language barrier - massive language barrier in Türkiye in general. We tried to learn some of there language as its useful however most conversations where had by google translate.
Overall, I would not recommend Diamond of Bodrum as the whole place needs revamp to make it more appealing.
- 745iuliat (10/5): Diamond of Bodrum great experience - Hi. I would like to share my experience at Diamond of Bodrum hotel
I’ve been with another couple ( for them was first holiday with all inclusive) and was a great time there
Rooms little bit outdated, but clean
Food was plenty (fresh fish on grill and chicken bbq)
Fruits and sweets a lot
Close to the town 10 minutes walk
Staff friendly
Not a Five star hotel, 4 is better
I will go back there…
Thank you Diamond of Bodrum
- magdazX4977XC (10/5): Brilliant - Third stay, I was not disappointed.
Staff is brilliant , polite, helpful, from bar to reception, restaurant … food is okey. Lots of choices.
Book a trip with Med, he is a gem. Our baggage was delayed, he sorted it out quickly.
Downside. Lack of animations, few. Nights without any attractions
We will be coming back . Can’t wait ! October ! Roll on!
- nikolasW6758FQ (10/5): THE BEST HOLIDAYS - The best holidays i ever had so far
Location is perfect close to the city and beach and trips arround
Hotel staff very friendly especially bars staff
Rooms clean
Turkish bath highlighly recommended.
Food great /drinks strong and good
Overall beautifull place and sad to be leaving
- Emanuela (10/5): - I would advise hotel to obtain more loungers for the beach and swimming pool! Its rather a stressful process each day as it feels like the war of the loungers :)
Hotel Buffet and Staff were very friendly and helpful
Great location of a single traveller
- I1073HBnaomim (8/5): Stay - Hotels.is lovely and the staff are lovely. Great location and only a 10 minute walk along g the seafront to get to bars and restaurants.
Only down side for me is the bathroom... very small ( you do have bath and shower) and could do with a big update. The room itself is big and modern, also very clean. Fresh towels every day. Drinks in the fridge. The alcohol not great but where it as been so hot we have just been drinking water and coke. The food is ok, you will find something to eat... choice not massive. Ice creams are good and the snack restaurant is very good. Sunbed do go early so sadly you have to be one of them people and get up early 😤 (same for the beach beds). They will remove towels after an hour or so if they see the beds not being used.. which i think is great.
All in all and very lovely stay and enjoyable
- T1513JBmelissab (2/5): Terrible experience - Scam, do not book this hotel. Everything was awful, don’t even know where to start. First of all definitely not 5 star, maybe 2 star hotel. Come here to enjoy a 5 start holiday with my family, after working hard for a year and it was just stressful and upsetting, bad food, bad service, no facilities available at the pool or beach. Absolutely the worst holiday ever.
- 753nigelc (6/5): Diamond Bodrum - Staff very friendly and helpful. Spa was very good and massage was excellent. Thank you Sonny .
Hotel has very good views and is well situated with access to a private beach
Food is adequate but finding tasty, nice dishes is difficult
Service was not very good in the a la carte restaurant, for free meals that can be booked once per week.
Rooms : there are a small number of rooms that should either be repurposed or sold at a budget rate and this is not apparent on the LoveHolidays website . The aircon can be noisy in some rooms
Overall the experience was just above average
- 322fulya_ (2/5): Lack of Security - We experienced a serious lack of management and communication at the hotel’s pool area. Most of the sunbeds were broken or unavailable. According to the hotel’s own signage, if a sunbed is left unattended for more than one hour (even with a hotel towel), it can be used by others. Following this rule, we started using a sunbed that had been empty for over 1.5 hours.
When we briefly left the spot, we returned to find our belongings placed on the ground and the sunbed taken back. When we politely asked why our personal items had been moved, the other guest suddenly began yelling at us and using extremely offensive language. Despite this, the hotel staff did not take meaningful action.
We explained the situation to hotel staff, but due to lack of language skills and effective conflict resolution, we received little help. Shockingly, a staff member even said, “If it’s just one time, it’s not a problem” regarding the guest’s verbal abuse. We sent a written complaint to management and were told they couldn’t give us information due to GDPR (KVKK), and that “necessary action has been taken” — but the guest continued enjoying their day undisturbed.
As local tourists, we felt ignored and disrespected, while the guest who behaved aggressively was seemingly protected — likely due to being a long-staying foreign guest. Sadly, the hotel seemed to prioritize income over dignity and safety. Very disappointing experience in terms of guest relations, management, and accountability.
- S6510TRingridc (10/5): Best holiday - We've just had the best holiday at this hotel. The hotel and location are 5*.
Firstly our arrival and check in went very well. Staff was welcoming & friendly. We wasn't keen on the location of our room and was quickly relocated to another room, thank you. Reception staff also managed to locate a clothes iron for us to use.
Our room was lovely & clean. Everyday the room was cleaned, given fresh towels and refreshed the bathroom products. I wish I had the name of the cleaner who looked after our room 2704 daily, she did an excellent job, thank you.
The food was lovely, a good wide variety of food on offer everyday, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant was clean. The restaurant staff work very hard, they are very friendly, very attentive. I'd like to say a special thank you to Burhan, Seydi, Imam, who are very organised and work very hard, thank you.
The bars are fully stocked with everything you could want. Most staff are smiley and welcoming. A special mention to Hediye, who works very efficiently with a smile on her face, and makes the best Long Island Ice Tea.
Although I have mentioned some names, I want to point out that ALL staff I came across was very helpful and all worked very hard.
I never used the pool or other facilities, but did see they were all very clean and well kept.
This hotel was the main reason why we had such a lovely holiday.
Thank you, and see you next year! We've just had the best holiday at this hotel. The hotel and location are 5*.

- LindaB454 (8/5): Not 5 Star maybe a 3 Star Hotel - Economy rooms are awful. We had to upgrade to get a sea view. No tea bags in the restaurant, so if you love a cuppa take your own. Sun beds need to get up early some need replacing. Towels always available at the pool. Lovely location, friendly staff.
- emoshh88 (6/5): Friendly staff- Far below standarts - The staff is hospitable, friendly, very positive, and successful in their work. However, I believe the hotel falls far below the standards of a 5-star ultra all-inclusive resort. It may not be satisfying for young people or those looking for entertainment, as there are no animation teams, music, disco, or similar activities. It’s more suitable for those seeking peace and quiet. The open buffet menu is quite limited, with few options and rather low quality.
Thank you.
- 837oceanem (10/5): PLEASE READ THIS! - PLEASE READ!!!!!: i have read through these reviews after my mum booked this hotel and i was terrified since the reviews are so bad but they are all lies this hotel is beautiful its definitely more of an adult hotel not really for children since no entertainment for the children and no water slides ect but for adults this hotel is amazing its so relaxing loads of people mentioned how they dont speak good English which honestly isnt that big of a deal since they just get their phone out to translate which is fine , the food is perfectly fine nothing wrong with it at all and also loads of options to choose from and the hotel is literally ON THE BEACH the second u leave the hotel you are on the beach i personally got a beach view room and its beautiful especially at around 8:00pm with the sunset and its never “too busy” you can find seats easily next to the pool or on the beach everyone is very dramatic but anyways hotel is literally perfect for adults dont listen to the other reviews please
- monica2301 (8/5): Summer hreak - Beautiful hotel with amazing views, get a Seaview room. Definitely worth it. Staff are amazing always cheery and helpful. Went to the Al la carte restaurant last night and it was a really nice evening. The food is plentiful and tasty, only small complaint is it's never that hot, a microwave would go a long way to solve that. It's probably being scottish that means we like our food hot. The cruise ships coming and going are a lovely site and watching them from the balcony is really enjoyable. The hotel is a short walk from bodrum. The cocktails are really good quality and the little private beach is cute. Would we stay here again, Definitely
- V959QIjohna (8/5): Just lovely - Yes it is a little diamond in the rough but the cocktails are as good as you'll get anywhere, the food is not as we brits would like but apart from that it's lovely and the staff are all there to please, just relax and be happy because that's what the views do for you.
- Agavni (8/5): - Breakfast was very nice, but lunches and dinner choices weren’t as good as last year.
- charlotte (6/5): - All inclusive. You may want to eat out for something less canteen style if your not on a budget!
Staff young and disinterested
- Ahmet142 (4/5): Great location staff TERRIBLE restaurant management - I am Turkish resident in the UK.
I have been to many locations in Türkiye and this was the worst experience.
As others have observed the location is 5* BUT if this was your first experience of Türkiye you could not be blamed in thinking never again.
The staff, as always, are very friendly, helpful but that's where it ended.
Location and staff great
Rooms had multiple broken missing items. The restaurant was by far the most disappointing thing. The food was cheap, poor quality and not at all representative of the delicious cuisine you would expect.
It would seem the management is not interested in return guests.
Pity.
Don't let this out you off Türkiye offers great weather and value, we are about to book our 9th trip.
- Q225SJstaceym (8/5): Diamond in the rough? - We have just stayed here for a week. Hotel is very nice and spacious views are stunning. We paid extra for a sea view room definitely worth it for the breathtaking views. Room was clean with nice bed and large vanity mirror and chair good size balcony. Bathroom good size little shabby but clean. Pool area amazing and there are three main bars pool bar lobby and roof terrace. Food was good first two days then went down hill. Fresh omelette made to order due breakfasts delicious lunch and dinner not so good eat out a couple of times. Deniz on the lobby bar was the sweetest woman. So happy and friendly made amazing cocktails she made my holiday the best staff member by far. Overall nice and a good place to stay just food not the best.
- Mahmut (10/5): - Herşey mükemmeldi. Personel güleryüzlü ve yardımsever.
- katdeeley2024 (2/5): Don't go to this hotel. - Just spent 11 nights at this hotel, booked it through Jet2, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and surprised that jet2 are sending their customers here, the food is absolutely shocking, cold and couldnt even tell what it was half the time, plates and cutlery were filthy, we spent a fortune having to eat out, staff were rude and unhelpful, had to repeatedly ask for clean towels and to have the beds changed, the place is grubby, the only bonus was the view, don't book this hotel unless it's just for the view cos you won't get anything else.
- HonestTravler0708 (2/5): Beautiful view, ugly experience: A stay to forget at Diamond of Bodrum - I recently stayed at Diamond of Bodrum for 5 nights in October, with an all-inclusive package through Jet2. Sadly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I travelled with my mum, sister, best friend, and her mum, and we were all left deeply disappointed.
Food & Dining Experience:
The all-inclusive food was absolutely terrible. The buffet at breakfast, lunch, and dinner was consistently unappetizing, with dishes that weren't even labelled, leaving us unsure of what we were eating. There was also zero variety in the food offered—it was the same bland, greasy meals every day. We were especially excited to try some authentic Turkish cuisine, but there wasn’t even a hint of it on the menu! The snack bar was no better—everything was greasy and tasteless. The hygiene standards were shocking—flies swarmed the food stations, and to our horror, we saw staff drop food on the floor and then put it back into the buffet. When we questioned this appalling behaviour, the staff laughed in our faces. We ended up eating out most evenings because we simply couldn't stomach the food at the hotel.
Staff & Service:
Communication was a real issue as the majority of the staff barely understood or spoke English, making it difficult to address our concerns. But the worst part of our stay was the night manager, Syeb. He was incredibly rude, shouting at us for no reason and even making offensive comments, stating that he "hated British people and women." This behaviour was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. When we reported this to the Jet2 rep, Osman (who was very helpful), he informed us that this wasn’t the first complaint they had received about this manager. Osman assured us that he would escalate the issue, but the damage to our experience was already done.
Room Conditions:
One of the rooms we booked had a broken air conditioning unit, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. Despite reporting this to the hotel staff, they refused to fix it. Thankfully, after calling Jet2 out of hours, Osman managed to change my friend’s room, which was the one silver lining in an otherwise dreadful experience.
Location & View:
The only redeeming quality of this hotel was its location and breath-taking views. The panoramic view of the coastline was truly stunning, and the hotel's proximity to the beach and local attractions was ideal. However, a beautiful view does not make up for the appalling service and substandard facilities.
Shocking Truth About Positive Reviews:
After speaking with several other guests during our stay, it became clear that our negative experience was far from unique. In fact, every guest we spoke to had nothing but bad things to say about the hotel. What shocked us even more was when we received confirmation from a staff member that they were responsible for writing many of the hotel's positive reviews, using Google Translate to generate them! This kind of deceptive practice is completely unacceptable and misleads potential guests into booking a hotel that is nowhere near the standard advertised.
Overall Rating:
In summary, I would strongly advise anyone considering Diamond of Bodrum to avoid it at all costs. The hotel's poor hygiene, rude staff, inedible food, and complete lack of variety overshadowed what should have been a relaxing holiday. Jet2 seriously needs to reconsider having this resort on their list, as it is simply vile and not fit for the standards expected from an all-inclusive holiday.
I never usually write reviews, but this one had to be done. I do not want anyone wasting their hard-earned money on this awful experience. Please take the time to read reviews before booking this place—I wish we had!
This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I will never stay here again. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
- Bridal123 (4/5): Not five star ! - Just don’t go.
Views are incredible but that is the only incredible thing about this hotel.
Food was absolutely awful. Not looking for British cuisine but couldn’t tell what exactly food was meant to be in spite of description written above it. When we did try first couple of nights it was disgusting. I spent most of the week on bread and butter ( don’t believe it was butter) .My hubby in desperation tried to get eggs one morning at ten past nine only to be told no eggs left.
Hygiene an issue too. I took my own tissues and wipes to the loos as there was a lack of loo roll and hand tissues in many loos. Especially on pool level three where loos were abysmal. The lifts could also do with a good clean and certainly did not smell fresh. People might love cats but I do not want them running around food areas. I saw a couple one morning putting down their plate so that one of the stray cats could feed from it and that turned my stomach. Some guest might be eating from that plate later in the day.
The bar staff have no idea of the cocktail list and when making espresso martini one night he ran out of coffee liquor so started adding other unknown ingredients instead of going for another bottle. Don’t even try pina colada’s because they are like water.
I do not usually write reviews when I have nothing nice to say but strongly feel this place need to get their act together. It cost us a lot of money for a crap experience.
I don’t want/ need generic reply from hotel saying they have taken my feedback on board and inviting me back because pigs will fly first.
Tavsiye etmem.
- Barry Neil (10/5): - This hotel is the jewel in the crown of Bodrum. it is in a wonderful location with stunning views. The staff are the friendliest I have ever come across especially our friend Burhan and the lovely housekeeper of 1411. Reception staff cant do enough to help. The food is out of this world the snack a la carte has pizzas to die for. If I was to look for any negative it is the bedroom air conditioning. |Do not expect a cool room you will be disappointed. It blows air and cant be fixed so dont even ask. Move the bed so you are directly in the air flow it helps tremendously and we were sleeping like babies after the first few nights. You acclimatise. That would not stop me coming back to this hotel it was super.
- Ferdi (2/5): - Ich habe bisher noch nie so ein schlechtes Hotel gesehen
Das ist kein Stern Wert eher eine Passion
- Sanela (2/5): - Unfortunately there is not an option to give 0 review rating!! It was a horrible hotel -- My son and I felt very unsafe, the staff and management were very rude. The AC was not working, the room was smelly and hot -- we could not get any sleep!!! It was extremely hot -- almost 40 degrees in Bodrum, the AC not working posed a safety issue, especially when traveling with children!! The supposedly "private beach" was NOT private at all!! It was filthy with garbage cans, paper, glass and homeless people were sleeping there!! The whole hotel smelled of mold, the hallways didn't even have light and the Internet in the room was not existent - I could not even connect with my family. The bathroom could not close and had a hole in the door.
While my son was taking a shower, the water stopped running and when I called the front desk they said they would send someone right away, but noone came!!. We felt very unsafe, and the worst part was when we addressed our concern to the management, they didn't find the right solution, but told us that could find us a different room next day! We needed a solution right away! Then he told us that if we didn't like what he proposed , we could simply go elsewhere!
He then started yelling in Turkish!!! A horrible and scary experience!!!!!! This is not even a motel, let alone a 5 star! This is PURE FRAUD and EXTREME FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Alev (10/5): - Lovely hotel. Amazing view
- Mine (8/5): - It is a very good hotel. The food was good. The service was excellent. The beach was average for Bodrum. The facility and location were great
- KAAN (10/5): EŞSİZ BİR TATİL YERİ - Harika Bir Otel Herşey Çok Güzeldi Tüm Personel Güler Yüzlü ve İlgiliydi. Herkese Çok Teşekkür Ederiz 🌸🌸🌸
- Harprit (8/5): - It had a lot of facilities inside the hotel. And I as in good walking distance of Bodrum city where you could go shopping.
- pelin (8/5): - A nice little hotel. It is nice that it is right by the sea and close to the center of Bodrum. The employees are attentive and hard-working. But the food options are limited, the pool is very small and not clean, there are not enough sunbeds, and the entertainment is insufficient.
- Agavni (10/5): - Amazing food, staffing are very friendly.
- Paul (10/5): - Personally, I needed some freetime away from work to R&R and found this the perfect fit. I could have peace and quiet or mingle if I wanted, I also enjoyed the entertainment provide each night. Staff were brilliant.
- Munawar (8/5): - Very convenient located hotel but little run down , rooms very basic but breakfast was good .
- Aya (8/5): - The hotel is not 5 stars first of all, but could go under 4 stars category. The staff are so welcoming, so helpful and nice all over the hotel. The food was good and so tasteful, unlike the reviews. Dessert buffet was amazing. Everyday they have a different menu. Buffet 3 times a day, and huge variation that suits all people. The terrace and view is so good. The location is perfect, walking distance to center. Beach is so clean, hotel is quite big. The only thing I didn’t quite like was the room, toilet is so small, needs renovation, and maybe different shampoo and shower gels cause they were bad. The bed was not really comfortable, but it was okay. I would definitely go again every summer. It was a nice trip overall. Thank you
- Selina (8/5): A nice hotel....if a little dated - Location ok and view lovely but the hotel itself is a little dated.
We booked a winter stay entirely for the indoor pool and it was not available.
- Shane (10/5): - Otelin konumu harika. Sakin ve kalabaliktan uzak ama merkeze 5 dakika yürüme mesafesi. Odalar temizdi, oda manzarası harikaydı. Kesinlikle memnun kaldım
- MARINA (8/5): - Centrally located, privatr beach and a daily fresh buffet.
- Ugurcan (6/5): - Great scenery and terrace bars. Very friendly staff. Food was very average. Rooms was tired and needs a freshening up.
- Sinem (10/5): - The location of the hotel is amazing; it's right in downtown. No other hotel can beat the Diamond of Bodrum in that sense. The staff are extremely kind and helpful as well.
- Avi (6/5): - Overall ok
- trevor (10/5): - Great hotel with lovely pool and beach area would definitely recommend but only fault is air con is rubbish
- Kian (8/5): - The positive bits first. Staff were brilliant, very friendly and couldn’t do enough. Shout out to Omar at the desk who went over and above to help me. The hotel is immaculate and location is excellent.
We paid to upgrade our room to a balcony/sea view which is worth the money. My son had a standard promo room which was small and dark but suited a teenager.
The food would put me off returning to the hotel. I am not fussy but the AI buffet is poor. The saving grace is the snack bar on the ground floor, which is more of a mini restaurant that serves decent salads, burgers, pizza etc.
Overall we had a great time and can’t complain for the money we paid. The staff are 5* although personally I’d rate it as a 3* in comparison to other place we’ve stayed.
- Rrezarta (2/5): - Staff was horrible, hotel is under poor management, no investment and always post old pictures of hotel to sell it. Not recommended at all. There's no seats by the beach. If you don't wake up at 7 morning to get one and stay there all day you will lose it.
- Derartu H (4/5): Well, when a hotel is meant 5 star my expectation - Well, when a hotel is garded as 5 star, I expect it to be 5 star not equal to 2 stars. This place was far from being 5 star.
1. I thought grading is international and wondering how they got their 5 stars grading?
2. the room was so dusty on the surfaces and the shower box as well. The garbage bin was so rusted entirely.
3. The size of the room was horrible. I asked the receptionist to upgrade me and I was told that all rooms are the same size which is not true. She added that I will be given another room only at the cost of €150/day on top of what I already paid. I called the website where I booked it from, they said that no-one answers at all. We didn’t have a space to put our luggages. You open the door, you literally fall on the bed.
4. The food was alright.
- Diana Marcela (6/5): - The hotel needs an update,
I don’t think is a 5 stars hotel, the bed is hard, the pillows almost flat, the towels are broken and feels like carton when you dry your self, the mini bar has only water and food at the buffet is average, also very few people speak English, so communication is difficult.
- BULENT (2/5): - Not my cup of tea
- Anita (8/5): - My third stay at this hotel and I enjoyed my trip very much.
Location is excellent right in the center , close to shopping , and a private beach across the street.
Some rooms are better than others and also with the wi fi , worked at some area’s better than others. Evening shows were reduced, some nights there was nothing to do. Food was ok , did not like the set up they had , where they put the food on your plate. I understand COVID is the reason but I have been to other all inclusive hotel and and that is not the case, hope one day it will be as it used to be. All that aside it is a great hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This is definitely not a five stars hotel. The room and the corridors were not clean. They don’t clean the corners. Too many insects. The toilet and room look very old and need maintenance. Old furniture. Tv screen not clear. Wifi very good all around the property. No variety in the buffet food. Flies on the food. Location is amazing close to everything. Nice music around the pool. Pool is great. The views are superb. The supervisor Surkan was very helpful. The staff are very professional and friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. Very dirty and so dusty they barely clean the floor even if we give tips. The corridors were also dirty. The food was average in the buffet restaurant… dinners better than lunches… many times we notice flies all over the food!!! The a la carte restaurant on the ground floor is much better and cleaner but only available for snacks/lunch time. Apart from this the views from the hotel terraces and reception were breathtaking! The location is the best thing in this hotel. It is close to the local shops and marina. Restaurants all around. Staff were polite and nice especially Surkan in the reception who was very helpful and could speak English and French very well.
- Farzin (6/5): Hotel management need to be reorganised - We stayed there 4 nights
Family trip.
Positive points:
The best location at the heart of the city.
They changed our room to better one without extra charge, appreciated
Very good DJ at the evening
Cheaper price in comparison with other 5 star hotels in that area
Friendly staff who had very hard job in 12 hours working time, without rotation
Negative points:
Poor room service due to lack of staff, only one person for each floor, every day!!!!
Terrible room air conditioning, it didn't work 3-7 every morning, noisy and unstable
Lack in quantity of staff in reception/restaurant/guest relation/room service....
Small pool and very limited beach...
Terrible food , and dirty glasses and dishes at restaurant
Low quality local drinks, only!!
The hotel, is not really 5 star hotel.
- emely (10/5): best of the best - Amazing place had a very lovely stay.
- Walter (8/5): Excellent but not perfect - It was really great with the view, the food is EXCELLENT, However, we are not happy about the condition of the rooms, the Aircondition is not cooling, even when we complained, Yet it wasn't cooling at all, also, there was no tooth paste on the rooms, they claimed because of Covid-19, I don't know why! the rooms are large but the bed is poor, very very poor! too low and the mattress is very low for such hotel, the bathroom is too tight, I think if the management can look into the Aircondition in all the rooms, Internet and fix the bed situation the hotel would be EXCELLENT, The staffs of the hotel are Just from another planet, they are WONDERFUL, Helpful, respectful and they do their jobs so well in the restaurant
- Mike (10/5): - Really enjoyed our stay at the Diamond of Bodrum. Our all inclusive stay booked through Expedia was great value; the same period on booking.com was £400 more expensive - not sure why! Not quite the 5 star advertised, but none the less, an excellent provision of facilities and staff that work their socks off despite a slight language barrier.
If travelling during COVID period bear in mind that food selection is a little tricky given the language barrier, and not being able to get physically close to the food. Snack bar caters to every need mid afternoon and comes with a full menu written in English if you’re struggling with the buffet.
Rooms were a bit rough around the edges but adequate and kept immaculately clean and disinfected by the hotel staff.
Never had an issue waiting for a drink at the pool bar, and the music round the pool was a great touch.
Short walk to beach or pool wherever your room is within the hotel, and just a short walk to town.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The property is really old they need to fix the rooms and carpets.Bathrooms are too small you can not even turn around you and we stay there for five days they just chanced the towels that's it.Our room was still not clean or changed the dirty glasses or vibed anything so housekeepers are really need attention. It is not worth it to pay that much to this hotel only good think about the hotel was breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We booked for 2 nights Saturday and Sunday great price for all inclusive. Food was very good. Room clean. The bed was very firm and perfect
Great stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful views. Good location close to port and castle. Food is good. Beds are really bad.
- MUHANNAD (10/5): amazing hotel - It is amazing hotel and very good services.
WiFi wireless internet is not covring all place and room in the hotel.
- Anita (10/5): - The property is in great location, everything is clean and the food is excellent . Staff at the restaurant are very slow to change the linens and ask for drinks. Drinks at the bar are good but not too many choices wish they could make martinis and frozen drinks. overall it’s a great hotel and definitely will recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The staff was horrible and the hotel is very poorly run. Everyday i was there i saw people upset waiting up to 8 hours to get their room. I waited 6 hours. I was supposed to have 2 beds with a garden view. I got 1 small uncomfortable bed with a view of a wall. The room was small. I had the all inclusive and the food was horrible. Everybody i met hated it. The pool and beach were nice but that's it. They have to take the 5 star rating away because it is not a 5 star.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property had great view however the food needs to be improved.
- Mohammed (2/5): - It was very bad no professional staff
The hotel in bad condition
The rooms very old
- Alev (8/5): - Everything was good. We had a great time with my girlfriend.! Highly recommended..
- Ashraf (4/5): - The property has a prime location. The staff, especially kitchen & food service work very hard. However, the property is run down, very poor maintenance, some rooms have no AC, some rooms have mould in the walls, they charge a prime rate for rooms that are no more than three stars.
We were checked into 2 rooms, one has an AC that blows sewage smell, the other had no AC. The first room they did nothing about till next day. The second room, they finally moved my chdren to a run down room without a door lock, wire sticking out of walls, not cleaned @ 1 am. Then next day, they finally moved us to the rooms we were supposed to be in from the begining!! When I asked for a refund for the first horrible night with no sleep, they kept playing games with us till we left!!
- Mohammed (8/5): nice for fun - Nice hotel and interesting activity, but the problem with the parking is very dirty area and bad smell.
- Shafique (10/5): Perfect!!! - Had an amazing time, hotel staff were absolutely excellent and the service provided was one of the best I’ve received, very professional! The meals in the hotel were top class and had plenty of variety to choose from. Location was just perfect, my first holiday where I didn’t need to catch a taxi!! Also the views from the hotel were amazing, especially from the rooftop at sunset, was phenomenal! Thank you for making our holiday a “perfect holiday”! Will be back for sure!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nıcely laıd out frıendly staff but where unable to resolve the ıssue I had. I thought I had booked all-ınclusıve but they ınsısted ıt was B and B. Great locatıon and tasty breakfast. Certaınly good value for money and terıffıc vıews across the bay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - i will never stay in this hotel again..
is it really a 5 star?
Garage is disaster. No sofa in the rooms, just a chair. Garden view room is funny, they just create a garden between 2 buildings and it is a very bad view. All inclusive? No.. Be careful, it is not real all inclusive hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff were quite disappointing. Especially the bar staff around the pool, who seemed to go out of theur way to avoid serving people.
Some days the room was cleaned to the highest standard, other days things were just stuffed into drawers and it was clear nothing had been cleaned.
